First phase of Lok Sabha elections in Bengal, Trinamool candidates in the fray in all four seats

The first phase of the Lok Sabha poll in the state begins tomorrow with over six million people in Coochbehar, Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling parliamentary constituencies being all set to cast their votes. Two Assembly bypolls will also be held in Maynaguri and Kumargram in Jalpaiguri.
Star campaigners like Trinamool Chairperson Ms. Mamata Banerjee, actors Mithun Chakraborty and Dev, have all visited the region turning the contest into a high voltage affair.
Trinamool has fielded four candidates in the four Lok Sabha seats. The Trinamool candidate for Coochbehar is educationist Renuka Sinha. Dasharath Tirkey is the candidate for Alipurduar while former Registrar of rabindra Bharati University, Bijoy Ch Barman is the candidate for Jalpaiguri. Former captain of Indian Football team, Bhaichung Bhutia is the candidate for Darjeeling constituency.
Trinamool Chairperson has campaigned herself in all these seats more than once.
