Mala Roy speaks on continuous hike in LPG prices

Sir, what is the reason for the continuous hike in LPG prices for last four consecutive months for both subsidised and non-subsidised cylinders, particularly in Kolkata. Sir, the prices of non-subsidised cylinders were hiked by Rs 15.50 in September, by Rs 15 in October, by Rs 76 in November and by Rs 19.50 in December.
Kolkata is the worst-hit among the four metro cities, badly affecting the kitchen budget of common people. What remedial measures have been thought of by the government to prevent such monthly exuberant hikes and to protect the interests of the common people? Whether government is contemplating to bring-in another round of hike in other petroleum products including LPG?
