Sudip Bandyopadhyay speaks about monkey menace in Mathura-Vrindavan

FULL TRANSCRIPT
Sir, I am a victim of such a situation. I often visit Vrindavan and there is an ashramof Ramakrishna Mission, whose headquarters, Belur Math, is in Kolkata.
Sir, I went to Haridwar to visit the Banke Bihari Temple. I am very much connected with Ramakrishna Mission over there. The Guruji was also accompanying me, Sir. I was wearing my glasses. I simply stepped down from the car, and felt someone touched me. And I found that my glasses were gone. So nicely it was lifted by the monkeys, it was unbelievable.
At that moment, eight to ten packets of ‘Frooti’ were thrown by the shopkeepers. The monkeys saw them, climbed down, took a few packets and returned my glasses.
So, the situation is very dangerous. You must keep your glasses, wallet and other belongings safely inside pockets. Sir, please take the issue seriously. I have heard from the monks of local Ramakrishna Mission ashram. It is a serious issue and it must be tackled by the government.
