Pratima Mondal speaks on the need for ban on plastic usage

Thank you Madam, for allowing me to speak on the matters raised under Rule 377. Madam, the government has been stressing on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Waste and pollution are obviously one of the most important issues that need to be dealt with. We are planning a complete ban on plastic usage.
Here, my main concern is about the fact that there are very few waste recycling units in the country. In an effort to make my constituency zero waste producing area, I am facing difficulties. My humble request to the government is to set up a plastic recycling unit in Jayanagar, my constituency, and help me to achieve the vision of Nirmal Bangla as well as Clean India.
