Those who indulge in slander have skeletons to hide: Mamata Banerjee in Ghatal
Trinamool Chairperson Mamata Banerjee held a padayatra in Ghatal today. After the padayatra, she gave a short speech. She said that the lady who is the BJP candidate in Ghatal cannot even a Gram Sabha election. She said that those who indulge in slander have skeletons to hide.
Mamata Banerjee said, “One of the candidates of BJP duped people of their money and amassed assets worth crores. The other is a leader of ‘mace’ (referring to armed rallies). They both indulge in abuse against our leaders.”
She added, “I want to tell the BJP candidate in Ghatal. Don’t make me open my mouth. I have the SMSes from you when you were serving in the police. If I make them public, I would not have to say anything more.”
She also said, “If we so wished, we could have arrested you for the cases registered against you. You have protection from Supreme Court only in one case. We have shown courtesy and allowed you to become a candidate. Do not cross the line of decency in a democracy.”
