Bangla Govt beside Bhadu artistes
The festival of Bhadu is celebrated extensively by the tribal people in the districts of Purulia, Bankura, Birbhum and the two Bardhamans in the month of Bhadro.
The State Government does a lot for upholding the traditional cultural aspects of Bangla, and the same is true for Bhadu.
Bhadu singers have been made a part of the Lok Prasar Prakalpa, wherein they get regular monthly stipends and extra money for performances. The local administrations see to it that people face no problem in organising the festival.
With the help of the government, the festival is becoming more and more popular, and is turning out to be a tourist attraction as well.
