Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra’s supplementary question on reducing accidents on NH 12
Sir, I would like to bring the attention of the hon. Minister to the deplorable state of NH-12, which goes through Kolkata. It used to be NH-34. It is now NH-12, which is basically the North Bengal and South Bengal. The condition of the road from Barajaguli to the Murshidabad border, going to the district of Nadia, after the monsoon is absolutely abysmal. There are huge craters and water-logging. No repair has been done. Also, due to the lack of service lanes and truck lay-bys, because of the dhabas and the petrol pumps, there are accidents happening every day with people trying to take illegal U-turns. I would request the hon. Minister to look into it and get it fixed at the earliest. SHRI NITIN JAIRAM GADKARI: Sir, the main Question is related to the Kerala Government.
