WB CM to inaugurate `Biz Bridge 2013` today
West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee along with the WB minister for commerce & industries and IT, Partha Chatterjee is all set to inaugurate the four day `Biz Bridge 2013` organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Eastern Region in Kolkata.
“Biz Bridge 2013 will broaden the industrial horizon in the region,“ Mamata Banerjee who will address the special plenary on the inaugural day, said in a message.
CII informed that while the chief minister will address the special plenary, where many top-notch industry leaders will be present, the opening plenary will be addressed by Partha Chatterjee, Ajay Shankar – Member Secretary, National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council, Krishna Gupta – Managing Director, West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation and Partha Ghosh – Director, Bengal Aerotropolis Projects Ltd, among others.
“I am confident that Biz Bridge, as the name suggests, will serve as a perfect link between West Bengal and businesses across the world, and herald a new era of entrepreneurship,“ said Partha Chatterjee in his message.
According to the industry leaders, with Rs 80,000 crore to be spent on the defence sector in Eastern Region in the next 15 years, the scope is huge for MSMEs in the region as a whole, including West Bengal.
Adding value to Biz Bridge 2013 are a few conferences to be organised on the sidelines of the show.
