Bengal Govt to launch app on blood donors
To ensure information about availability of blood is available at one’s fingertips, the Bengal Health Department (under the ministership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee) and the State AIDS Prevention and Control Society (SACS) have come together to create an innovative app.
According to senior officials of the Health Department and Bengal unit of SACS, the app will have several useful features to help patients and their relatives trace donors, find out availability of blood at the State Government-run blood banks and enrol oneself for donating blood, among other things.
The following are the main features of the app:
- List of donors in Bengal, along with their names, mobile numbers, addresses, blood groups they belong to and other useful information.
- List of donors available at the State Government-run blood banks.
- Detailed list of blood donation camps organised by the blood banks along with the types and the units of blood collected.
- List of units available for each of the blood groups at all the blood banks run by the State Government.
- Importantly, the app will have a section for people to register themselves as donors.
The app will also have links to the National Health Portal and the e-blood bank project. This app is in the final stages of its creation, and would be launched soon.
The Bengal Government is on a mission to encourage the people, especially the youth of the State, to become active donors and this app is a positive step in that direction.
সব গ্রুপের রক্তের খোঁজ পাওয়া যাবে অ্যাপের মাধ্যমে
মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তর তথা রাজ্য এইডস প্রতিরোধ ও নিয়ন্ত্রণ সমিতি (SACS) শীঘ্রই চালু করতে চলেছে অভিনব এক ধরনের মোবাইল অ্যাপ। এর মাধ্যমে খোঁজ পাওয়া যাবে ইচ্ছুক ডোনারের। কলকাতা থেকে উত্তরবঙ্গ, জঙ্গলমহল থেকে সুন্দরবন— যে প্রান্তের বাসিন্দাই হন না, দরকার পড়লে ওই অ্যাপেই খোঁজ পেয়ে যাবেন হাতের কাছে থাকা কোনও ইচ্ছুক ডোনারের।
স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তরের সিনিয়র আধিকারিকদের মতে এই অ্যাপে বেশ কিছু ফিচার আছে যা রোগী ও তাঁর বাড়ির লোকেদের সাহায্য করবে। এর মাধ্যমে ‘এ’, ‘বি’, ‘এবি’ বা ‘ও’- যে কোনও রক্তেরই গ্রুপের (পজিটিভ বা নেগেটিভ) ডোনারের খোঁজ পাওয়া যাবে। তাঁর ঠিকানা, মোবাইল নম্বর ও জরুরি তথ্য থাকবে এই অ্যাপে।
এই অ্যাপের প্রধান ফিচার গুলি হলঃ
- এই মোবাইল অ্যাপে রক্তদানে ইচ্ছুকদের জন্যও আলাদা শাখা থাকবে। সেখানে গিয়ে যে কেউ নিজের নাম, মোবাইল নম্বর ইত্যাদি নথিভুক্ত করিয়ে রাখতে পারবেন।
- বিভিন্ন সরকারি ব্লাড ব্যাংকের কাছে ডোনারদের তালিকা রয়েছে। সেই তালিকাও আপলোড করে রাখা হবে অ্যাপে।
- কোন ব্লাড ব্যাংক কবে, কোথায়, ক’টা শিবির করল, কত ইউনিট রক্ত সংগৃহীত হল ইত্যাদি সমস্ত তথ্য আপডেট করে দেওয়া হবে অ্যাপে।
- এই মুহূর্তে রাজ্যের কোন সরকারি ব্লাড ব্যাংকে বিভিন্ন গ্রুপের কত ইউনিট করে রক্ত আছে, তাও জানা যাবে অ্যাপ থেকে।
কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের ন্যাশনাল হেলথ পোর্টাল আর ই-রক্তকোষ প্রকল্পের লিংক দেওয়া থাকবে অ্যাপে। অ্যাপে থাকা তথ্যগুলি নিয়মিত আপডেট করা হবে। কাজ চলছে জোরকদমে, খুব শীঘ্রই এই অ্যাপ চালু হবে।
রাজ্যজুড়ে যুবসমাজকে রক্তদানে উদ্বুদ্ধ করতে বড়সড় কর্মসূচি নিতে চলেছে রাজ্য সরকার।
