Ratneswar Jheel, Sikiajhora, Bakla, West Damdim, Chamurchi, Chalsa, Meteli, Saktia, Khushiya Udyan, Lataguri Lake, Madhubani Park, Mangalbari, Ramsai, Maora Valley, Murti, Jalpesh Temple, Tilabari, Batabari, Jatileswar Temple – some new, some old, soon to get a touch of the new. These are going to be the hot destinations for the Puja holidays.

The West Bengal Tourism Department, under instructions from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, is developing these 19 destinations at a cost of Rs 25 crore. They are located in the districts of Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar. The infrastructure being readied would enable an average of 200 tourists at a time to enjoy the facilities at each of these resorts. Most of these would be inaugurated in September, after Viswakarma Puja. A few would be completed in October.

The projects would be implemented with the help of the local panchayat samitis, municipalities and district magistrates. The local bodies would keep 20% of the profits from these facilities. This would act as an incentive for the local bodies to take care of the maintenance of these resorts and related facilities.

 

পুজোয় উত্তরবঙ্গে পর্যটনের নতুন ঠিকানা

মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের অনুপ্রেরণায় পুজোর আগে উত্তরবঙ্গে পর্যটকদের জন্য ১৯টি নতুন পর্যটন কেন্দ্র চালু করতে চলেছে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ পর্যটন দপ্তর। এর জন্য খরচ হচ্ছে মোট ২৫ কোটি টাকা। পুরনো পর্যটন কেন্দ্রগুলি সংস্কারের পাশাপাশি বেশ কিছু আন্তর্জাতিক মানের নতুন পর্যটন কেন্দ্র তৈরির উদ্যোগও নেওয়া হয়েছে। একদিনে একসঙ্গে ২০০ পর্যটক এই নতুন কেন্দ্রগুলির প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য উপভোগ করতে পারবেন।

রত্নেশ্বর ঝিল, সিকিয়া ঝোরা, বাকলা, পশ্চিম ডামডিম, চামুর্চি, চালসা, মেটেলি, সাকতিয়া, খুশিয়া উদ্যান, লাটাগুড়ি দীঘি, মধুবনি পার্ক, মঙ্গলবাড়ি, রামশাই, মাওরা ভ্যালি, মূর্তি, জল্পেশ মন্দির, তিলাবাড়ি, বাটাবাড়ি, জটিলেশ্বর মন্দির – কিঞ্ছু নতুন ও কিছু পুরনো মিলিয়ে উত্তরবঙ্গে অনেকগুলি নতুন পর্যটন কেন্দ্র আসছে। এগুলিই পুজোর প্রধান আকর্ষণ। এর মধ্যে অধিকাংশই বিশ্বকর্মা পুজোর পর সেপ্টেম্বরে উদ্বোধন হয়ে যাবে, বাকীগুলোর কাজ অক্টোবরে সম্পন্ন হয়ে যাবে। মেগা ট্যুরিজম হাবের যে ৪টি প্রকল্প রয়েছে সেগুলি পুজোর আগেই খুলে দেওয়া হবে।

এই প্রকল্পের কাজগুলি সংশ্লিষ্ট পঞ্চায়েত সমিতি, পুরসভা ও জেলাশাসকের দফতরের মাধ্যমে করা হহবে। ২০% লাভ রেখে কাজের বরাত দেওয়া হবে। এর ফলে দপ্তর পরিচালনা ও পর্যটন কেন্দ্রগুলি রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ করা হবে।

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today made an impassioned plea to investors, both foreign and those in the country, to invest in the state and assured them that her government would pull out all the stops to help and support.

“We will help. Give us the choice, we will give you all options. If you want to set up industry, the state government will give land from the land bank. Our land bank, land policy is ready. If you come, we will be happy,” Banerjee said while addressing a business meeting in Munich.

Mamata Banerjee, who led a business delegation to Munich to explore investment opportunities, urged the German auto major BMW to consider investing in the state and said, “We have enough opportunities in transport sector. You will see with your own eyes the opportunities in Bengal,” she said.

“If you think about India, first think about Bengal. Bengal is the gateway to Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal. If you invest, you will get a ready market,” she told the investors.

“If you want to invest, you have to set up one unit. Only ancillaries (industries) will not serve the purpose,” she said.

Giving a personal touch to her fervent plea, the Chief Minister said, “please consider me as your sister. Consider Bengal as your home. Bengal is the destination”.

State finance minister Amit Mitra, who had a meeting yesterday with senior management of the BMW in Munich had described it as a productive meeting.

“We told BMW that all options are open for them to invest in Bengal,” he had stated.

 

জার্মানিকে বাংলায় লগ্নির ডাক মমতার

বাংলা পূর্ব এশিয়ার প্রবেশপথ। এখানে কারখানা করলে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ তো বটেই, ভারত এবং দক্ষিণ এশিয়ার বাজার পাবেন। আমাদের ল্যান্ডব্যাঙ্ক রয়েছে, বিনিয়োগের উপযুক্ত জায়গা রয়েছে। আপনাদের কোনও অসুবিধা হবে না। বুধবার মিউনিখে এভাবেই বি এম ডব্লু–কে বাংলায় বিনিয়োগ করার আবেদন জানালেন পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা ব্যানার্জি।

গাড়ি শিল্পের পাশাপাশি বাংলায় ম্যানুফ্যাকচারিং শিল্প গড়তেও জার্মান শিল্পোদ্যোগীদের আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন। জার্মান শিল্পপতি ও উদ্যোক্তাদের উদ্দেশে মিউনিখের সিটি সেন্টারে শিল্প সম্মেলনে মমতা বলেন, শুধু কারখানাই নয়, অনুসারী শিল্প করতেও আসুন।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, বাংলায় অনেক জায়গা আছে যেখানে জল, বিদ্যুৎ, আলো প্রচুর আছে। আপনাদের কোনও অসুবিধা হবে না। বাভারিয়া প্রদেশের আইনমন্ত্রী উইনফ্রেইড হাউসব্যাককে পাশে বসিয়ে মমতা বলেন, আমাদের ল্যান্ডব্যাঙ্ক আছে। বাংলায় কর্মসংস্কৃতি ফিরেছে। এখন আমাদের রাজ্যে আর কোনও কর্মদিবস নষ্ট হচ্ছে না। বাংলায় রেডি মার্কেট পাবেন। আপনাদের পণ্যের জন্য নতুন করে বাজার খুঁজতে হবে না। বাংলা এখন বিনিয়োগ করার জন্য উপযুক্ত জায়গা। আপনারা আসুন।

এদিনের শিল্প সম্মেলনে রাজ্যের ২৯ জন শিল্পপতির একটি দল যোগ দিয়েছেন। সম্মেলনে বাংলার শিল্পপতিদের অনেকে গত ৫ বছরে পশ্চিমবঙ্গে এই সরকারের কাজের ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেছেন। বলেছেন, তাঁদের এই সরকারের সময়ে কাজ করতে কোনও অসুবিধা হয়নি। সরকার এবং মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা ব্যানার্জির সবরকম সহযোগিতা তাঁরা যখনই চেয়েছেন, পেয়েছেন। জানা গেছে, এদিন শিল্প সম্মেলনে জার্মানির কয়েকটি শিল্প সংস্থার প্রতিনিধিরা বাংলায় বিনিয়োগ করার কথা ভাবছেন বলে জানিয়েছেন।

জার্মান শিল্পপতিদের সঙ্গে বাংলার আত্মিক যোগের কথা বলতে গিয়ে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা ব্যানার্জি কবিগুরু রবীন্দ্রনাথ, নেতাজি সুভাষচন্দ্র বসুর কথা উল্লেখ করেন। বলেন, জার্মানির সঙ্গে ভারতের মৈত্রী বন্ধন গড়ে তুলেছিলেন ম্যাক্সমুলার। বলেন, জার্মান ও বাংলার সম্পর্ক দীর্ঘজীবী হোক।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, গাড়ি শিল্পই হোক আর ম্যানুফ্যাকচারিং— বাংলায় বিনিয়োগ করলে আপনারা সবরকম সহযোগিতা, সমর্থন পাবেন। বাংলার তরুণ প্রজন্ম রয়েছে। তাঁদেরকেও আপনারা কাজে লাগাতে পারবেন। জার্মান শিল্পোদ্যোগীদের উদ্দেশে মমতা বলেন, আপনারা এসেছেন। আমি গর্বিত। আপনারা আমাকে সম্মান দিয়েছেন। ২০ ও ২১ জানুয়ারি কলকাতায় গ্লোবাল বিজনেস সামিট হবে। আপনারা আসুন।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেছেন, আমি বিশ্বাস করি কাজ বেশি কথা কম। এভাবেই চলি। এদিনের বৈঠকে সিমেন্সের সুনীল মাথুর উপস্থিত ছিলেন। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, বিশ্ব–ফুটবল চ্যাম্পিয়ন জার্মানি। আর বাংলার মানুষ ফুটবল–পাগল। রাত জেগে বিশ্বকাপ ফুটবল দেখে। আমিও রাত জেগে দেখি। জার্মানির অনেক জিনিস আমরা কলকাতায় ব্যবহার করি। আপনারা যখনই আসবেন, বাংলায় কোনও বাধা পাবেন না। সবরকম সমর্থন, সহযোগিতা আপনারা পাবেন। বাংলায় বিনিয়োগ করলে এশিয়ার অন্য দেশগুলিতেও আপনাদের পণ্যের বাজার পাবেন। পূর্ব এশিয়ার গেটওয়ে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ। আমাদের পরিবহণ ব্যবস্থা ভাল। ল্যান্ডব্যাঙ্ক আছে।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will today hold a meeting with representatives of the German business houses at City Centre, Munich. The Chief Minister will be accompanied by the State finance and industry minister Dr Amit Mitra and a business delegation consisting industry captains from Bengal.

A preliminary meeting was held between the Chief Minister and the business delegation from Bengal yesterday. The Chief Minister urged the industry captains to showcase their experience of doing business in Bengal to their German counterparts. It was also decided regarding which sectors should be highlighted in the meeting,

The Bengal Chief Minister had earlier visited Singapore, London, Bhutan and Bangladesh and held industry meets . Under the present Government there has been a complete turnaround by the State regarding work culture and infrastructure development.

লগ্নি টানতে আজ মিউনিখে শিল্প সম্মেলন মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর

বাংলায় জার্মানির লগ্নির প্রত্যাশাকে সামনে রেখে আজ মিউনিখের সিটি সেণ্টারে অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকারের শিল্প সম্মেলন৷ মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত এই নজিরবিহীন শিল্প সম্মেলনে জার্মান শিল্পমহলের শীর্ষস্থানীয় বহু প্রতিনিধি উপস্থিত থাকবেন৷

অটোমোবাইল সংস্থা ও সিমেন্স-সহ বহু সংস্থা আজ রাজ্যের আহ্বানে শিল্প সম্মেলনে যোগ দিতে পারে৷ ইউরোপের মাটিতে এই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ শিল্প সম্মেলনে টাটা গোষ্ঠীর প্রতিনিধি সহ থাকছেন দেশের প্রথমসারির কয়েকজন শিল্পোদ্যোগী৷ টিম বাংলাকে নিয়ে মমতা রোট্যাচ ইগার্ন থেকে মিউনিখে গিয়ে শিল্প সম্মেলনে যোগ দেবেন৷

মিউনিখের সফরে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে রয়েছেন বাংলার শিল্পোদ্যোগীরা৷ মঙ্গলবার সন্ধ্যায় মুখ্যমন্ত্রী দেশ থেকে আসা শিল্পোদ্যোগীদের সঙ্গে  শিল্প সম্মেলনের প্রস্তুতি নিয়ে একটি বৈঠক করেন৷ বৈঠকে শিল্পমন্ত্রী অমিত মিত্র, মুখ্যসচিব বাসুদেব বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়-সহ অন্যান্য সচিবরাও ছিলেন৷ ওই বৈঠকে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, “আমি নয়, আপনারাই রাজ্যের শিল্পের কথা জার্মান শিল্পমহলের কাছে তুলে ধরবেন৷” রাজ্যের শিল্প পরিবেশের কোন দিকগুলি সম্মেলনে তুলে ধরা হবে, তা নিয়েও বৈঠকে আলোচনা হয়৷

২০১৭ বেঙ্গল গ্লোবাল বিজনেস সামিটের আগে মিউনিখের এই শিল্প সম্মেলন খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। এর আগে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় সিঙ্গাপুর, লন্ডন, ভুটান ও বাংলাদেশ সফরে গিয়েও শিল্প সম্মেলন করেছেন৷ দেশের মধ্যেও বাণিজ্যনগরী মুম্বই এবং দিল্লিতেও শিল্প সম্মেলন করেছেন তিনি৷‘বদলে যাওয়া’ বাংলায় বিনিয়োগে আগ্রহ দেখিয়েছে বিভিন্ন্ শিল্প সংস্থা৷

She may be away but her heart is in Bengal. In the midst of her busy schedule at Munich in Germany to showcase Bengal as an investment destination, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee did not forget her responsibility in managing coordination with her cabinet colleagues in Kolkata in view of the flood threat in the state in the backdrop of heavy rain in the last 24 hours.

The Chief Minister called up State irrigation minister Rajib Banerjee on Tuesday morning from Munich and instructed him to interact with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) authorities to prevent excessive water release from DVC dams in the state that might worsen the situation.

Within minutes of the Chief Minister’s call from Munich the entire state secretariat of Nabanna got transformed into a virtual war room. The Minister instructed officials of his department to ensure constant watch on the river embankments round the clock till the time the flood threat is completely averted.

“The situation is not that alarming yet. But we are maintaining constant vigil. Now, everything will depend on how far DVC cooperates by showing restraint about water release,” the Minister said.

Besides the state irrigation department, the state disaster management department was also kept on high alert. Department officials were instructed to ensure that different rescue teams be ready for emergency. Relief items like tarpaulin, dry food and medicines have been kept ready in adequate amount, confirmed an officer of the state disaster management department. Leave for the staff and officers of both the state irrigation and disaster management departments have been cancelled till further orders.

 

জার্মানিতে বসেও বাংলার বন্যার খবর নিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

সশরীরে উপস্থিত না থাকলেও তাঁর মন সারাক্ষণ বাংলাতেই পড়ে থাকে, তিনি মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। জার্মানির মিউনিখে শিল্প সম্মেলনে ব্যস্ত কর্মসূচীর মধ্যেও তিনি তাঁর দাওিত্ব ভুলে যাননি। প্রতিনিয়ত তিনি গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় বৃষ্টি ও বন্যা সংক্রান্ত সব রকম পরিস্থিতির ওপর নজর রেখেছেন এবং কলকাতার মন্ত্রীসভার সব মন্ত্রীদের সঙ্গে নিয়মিত যোগাযোগ রেখে সব খোঁজ-খবর নিচ্ছেন ও প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করার নির্দেশ দিচ্ছেন।

মঙ্গলবার সকালে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মিউনিখ থেকে রাজ্যের সেচমন্ত্রী রাজীব বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়কে ফোন করেন এবং দামোদর ভ্যালি কর্পোরেশন (ডিভিসির) কর্তৃপক্ষের সঙ্গে কথা বলার নির্দেশ দেন।

মিউনিখ থেকে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর ফোন আসার কিছু সময়ের মধ্যেই জেলা শাসক ও বিভিন্ন বিভাগের কর্মকর্তাদের বন্যা সংক্রান্ত সবরকম ব্যবস্থা নেওয়ার নির্দেশ দেন।

মন্ত্রী বলেন, “পরিস্থিতি এখনোও তেমন ভয়ংকর নয়। কিন্তু আমরা প্রতিনিয়ত সতর্ক থাকছি।  ডিভিসি কতটা জল ছাড়ছে তাঁর ওপর পরিস্থিতি নির্ভর করছে”।

রাজ্যের সেচ বিভাগের পাশাপাশি, রাজ্যের দুর্যোগ ব্যবস্থাপনা বিভাগও উচ্চ সতর্ক ব্যবস্থায় বজায় রাখছে। বিভাগের কর্মকর্তারা বিভিন্ন উদ্ধারকারী দলগুলিকে সবরকম জরুরী অবস্থার জন্য প্রস্তুত থাকতে নির্দেশ দিয়েছে। পর্যাপ্ত পরিমানে ত্রিপল, শুকনো খাবার ও ওষুধ প্রস্তুত রাখা হয়েছে।

The Bengal Government will take up a special drive to make 12 lakh people literate by January 2017, MoS for Mass Education and Library Science departments said.

The Minister said that as per the 2011 census, 22 per cent of the total population in the state was illiterate. Among them, a majority are poorest of the poor, minorities and dalits. He said his department would launch a massive campaign throughout the state to make more people literate. The department has taken up a scheme to make 10 per cent of the population literate within the next five years.

On September 9, a rally will be taken out in the city from Gandhi Statue to Rabindra Sadan, where a programme to create awareness about the campaign will be held.

The State Library department has taken up a special drive to help students to develop their habits of reading books and going to the library. There are 2,500 state-run libraries in 20 districts. Public Library Day was observed in the state on August 30, where attempts were made to woo students to develop the habit of reading books through programmes, symposiums and discussion.

The State Library Science Minister said it would be his prime duty to make the students aware of the libraries and then develop the habit to go there for studies.

২০১৭ সালের মধ্যে বাংলার ১২ লক্ষ মানুষকে সাক্ষর করার লক্ষ্যে এক বিশেষ অভিযান শুরু করছে রাজ্য সরকার।

মন্ত্রী বলেন, ২০১১ সালের জনগণনা অনুযায়ী, রাজ্যের মোট জনসংখ্যার ২২ শতাংশ নিরক্ষর ছিলেন। তাদের মধ্যে একটি বড় অংশ ছিল দরিদ্র, সংখ্যালঘু ও দলিত শ্রেণীর মানুষ। তিনি জানান তাঁর দপ্তর সমগ্র রাজ্য জুড়ে মানুষকে সাক্ষর করার জন্য এক অভিনব প্রচার চালাচ্ছে। আগামী ৫ বছরের মধ্যে ১০ শতাংশ মানুষকে সাক্ষর করতে একটি প্রকল্প চালু করেছে দপ্তর।

৯ সেপ্টেম্বর, গান্ধীর মূর্তি থেকে রবীন্দ্র সদন পর্যন্ত একটি সমাবেশের মাধ্যমে প্রচারাভিযান অনুষ্ঠিত হবে,

শিক্ষার্থীদের বই পড়া এবং লাইব্রেরি যাওয়ার অভ্যাস গড়ে তুলতে রাজ্য গ্রন্থাগার বিভাগ একটি বিশেষ পদক্ষেপ নিয়েছে। ২০টি জেলায় রাজ্য পরিচালিত ২,৫০০ টি গ্রন্থাগার রয়েছে। গত ৩০ আগস্ট সাধারণ গ্রন্থাগার দিবস উপলক্ষে রাজ্য সরকার বিভিন্ন সাংস্কৃতিক ও শিক্ষামূলক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করেছিল।

রাজ্যের লাইব্রেরী সায়েন্স মন্ত্রী বলেন, শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে লাইব্রেরি সম্বন্ধে সচেতনতা তৈরি করা এবং তারপর গবেষণার অভ্যাস তৈরি করাই তার মৌলিক দায়িত্ব।

A high powered official and business delegation from West Bengal, India led by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is in Germany from September 5-9, 2016 to promote closer engagement and cooperation in various fields and explore trade and investment opportunities between the Germany and West Bengal.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee would be addressing an exclusive Interactive Session on the 7 September, 2016 in Munich and a series of interactions are being organised on the occasion of her visit.

Seminar on “Business Opportunities in West Bengal”

The first of the interactive sessions, a seminar on “Business Opportunities in West Bengal” was organised by IHK Duesseldorf, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, Government of West Bengal, Consulate General of India, Frankfurt and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) on 5 September, 2016.

The session was addressed by Dr Amit Mitra, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge, Finance, Excise, Commerce & Industries, Mr Sovan Chatterjee, Hon’ble Mayor of Kolkata and Minister-in-Charge, Environment and Housing from Govt. of West Bengal. From NRW Ministry, Dr. Günther Horzetzky, State Secretary, Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy, Industry, SMEs and Crafts of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia addressed the session.

The event had a vibrant interactive session with German participants and members of the official and business delegation from West Bengal, India. The Seminar was attended by nearly 100 participants from across sectors.

The seminar was followed by G2B meetings between Senior Government officials of the State of West Bengal and major German companies including Elga Biotech, Boson Energy (IMBY Company), Oerlikon Barmag and others.

 

 

জার্মানির সাথে আরও নিবিড় সম্পর্ক চায় বাংলা

বাংলার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মাননীয়া মমতা ব্যানার্জীর নেতৃত্বে একটি উচচ পর্যায়ের সরকারি ও শিল্প প্রতিনিধি দল জার্মানিতে আছেন ৯ সেপ্টেম্বর, ২০১৬ পর্যন্ত, দুই দেশের মধ্যে পারস্পরিক যোগাযোগ বাড়ানোর উদ্দেশ্যে।

আজ মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মিউনিখ শহরে একটি শিল্প সম্মেলনে উপস্থিত থাকবেন।

গত ৫ই সেপ্টেম্বর “বাংলায় শিল্প সম্ভাবনা” সম্বন্ধে একটি আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। ডুসেলডর্ফ , ইন্দো-জার্মান চেম্বার অফ কমার্স, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার, কনস্যুলেট জেনারেল অফ ইন্ডিয়া, ফ্রাঙ্কফুর্ট এন্ড ফেডারেশন অফ ইন্ডিয়ান চেম্বার অফ কমার্স & ইন্ডাস্ট্রি দ্বারা আয়োজিত হয়েছিল সভাটি।

উক্ত সভাটিতে বক্তব্য রাখেন মাননীয় শিল্প ও বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রী অমিত মিত্র , কলকাতার মেয়র এবং আবাসন ও পরিবেশ মন্ত্রী শ্রী শোভন চ্যাটার্জী, মন্ত্রিসভা থেকে স্টেট সেক্রেটারি, অর্থনৈতিক বিষয়ক মন্ত্রী, শক্তি মন্ত্রী, বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রী, কারু মন্ত্রী, ক্ষুদ্র ও মাঝারি শিল্প মন্ত্রী।

সভা টি তে ১০০ জনের মতো প্রতিনিধি উপস্থিত ছিলেন দুই দেশ থেকে ও সভাটিতে আশাপ্রদ বার্তা বিনিময় হয়।

সভাটিতে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার ও জার্মানির নামি কোম্পানিগুলির মধ্যে কথাবার্তা চলে। কোম্পানিগুলির মধ্যে উল্লেখযোগ্য ছিল আলগা বায়টেক, বোসন এনার্জি, ওপেরলিকন বারম্যাগ প্রমুখ।

All options open for BMW to invest in Bengal, State Finance, Industries and Commerce Minister Dr Amit Mitra said today. He was addressing the press after a three-hour long meeting with top officials of BMW.

“The officials of BMW made several presentations. The meeting was productive. We will carry the talks forward,” he said. The minister added that Bengal wants a ‘sustained relationship’ with BMW. Stressing the green mobility is the future, Dr Mitra said BMW made presentation on electric cars and bikes.

The minister was accompanied by Chief Secretary, Finance Secretary, Mayor of Kolkata, Lok Sabha MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay and other delegates.

The minister invited his counterpart in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia to Bengal Global Business Summit, 2017.

বিএমডবলুর বাংলায় বিনিয়োগের জন্য সব দরজা খোলা, আজ বললেন রাজ্যের অর্থ ও শিল্পমন্ত্রী অমিত মিত্র। বিএমডবলুর উচ্চপদস্থ আধিকারিকদের সাথে তিন ঘন্টার এক বৈঠকের পর তিনি সাংবাদিকদের এই কথা বলেন।

বিএমডবলুর আধিকারিক অনেকগুলি প্রেসেন্টেশন দেখান। আজকের বৈঠক ফলপ্রসূ, বলেন শিল্পমন্ত্রী। তিনি আরও জানান যে বাংলা বিএমডাবলুর সাথে ‘সাস্টেন্ড রিলেশনশিপ’ চায়।

Under the leadership of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Mother Dairy’s milk and milk products have become a grand success.

Now Mother Dairy has come up with another winning product: that sweet dish for all occasions for Bengalis – payesh, or rice pudding.

 

Payesh kiosks

One such payesh-selling kiosk was inaugurated on Ironside Road in Kolkata few weeks ago. The Chief Secretary of the State, the Home Secretary and other senior officials who inaugurated it were all praise for the payesh after tasting it. This kiosk is also the first integrated Mother Dairy kiosk – where rice, vegetables, meat and eggs would be available too. At least 400 such integrated kiosks will be opened in the State in the near future.

CM’s Brainchild

The idea for selling payesh at Mother Dairy kiosks came from Mamata Banerjee herself, and the recipe too. As per her instruction, gobindabhog rice, nalen gur, raisins and kheer go into the making of the payesh.

Over the past few years, it was mainly due to the efforts of the Chief Minister that Mother Dairy has become a profitable company. The current working capital of the organisation has crossed Rs 50 crore.

The budget of the Animal Husbandry Department, under which Mother Dairy falls, has taken a huge leap, from Rs 82.02 crore during financial year 2011-12 to Rs 495 crore for 2016-17. Till five years back, the number of booths was 3,200.

Under the Trinamool Congress Government, the number has steadily gone up and is going to touch 5,000 during the current financial year.

পায়েস বিপণনের উদ্যোগ মাদার ডেয়ারির

পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নেতৃত্বে মাদার ডেয়ারির দুধ ও দুগ্ধজাত পণ্যগুলি এক অভিনব সাফল্য পেয়েছে। দুধ, দই, পনির, ঘি এই লিস্টে নতুন প্রোডাক্ট পায়েস যোগ করল মাদার ডেয়ারি।  পায়েসের এই রেডিমেড প্যাক এখন মাদার ডেয়ারির সব প্রোডাক্ট গুলির মধ্যে আকর্ষণীয় তাতে কোন সন্দেহ নেই।

জাতীয় ক্ষেত্রে সার্বিক পরিচিতি ও বিপণনকে সমৃদ্ধ করতে উদ্যোগ হয়েছে বাংলার ডেয়ারি, যার পূর্ব নাম ছিল মাদার ডেয়ারি। মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর দেওয়া এই নতুন নাম সম্প্রতি মন্ত্রিসভার বৈঠকেও অনুমোদিত হয়েছে। রাজ্যের চাহিদা মিটিয়ে এখন ভিন রাজ্যেও বিপণনের পরিকল্পনা করছে এই সংস্থা।

গত কয়েক বছর ধরে,  আর্থিক ভাবে পিছিয়ে পড়া এই সরকারি সংস্থা স্বনির্ভর হয়ে এখন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী প্রচেষ্টায় স্বনির্ভর হয়ে লাভের মুখ দেখছে। সংগঠনের বর্তমান মূলধন ৫০ কোটি ছাড়িয়ে গেছে। পরিসংখ্যান অনুযায়ী ২০১০-২০১১ আর্থিক বছরে প্রাণী সম্পদ দপ্তরের বাজেটে বরাদ্দ অর্থের পরিমাণ ছিল ৮২.০২ কোটি। চলতি বছরে এই বরাদ্দের পরিমাণ করা হয়েছে ৪৯৫ কোটি। ৫ বছর আগে রাজ্যে মাদার ডেয়ারির বুথের সংখ্যা ছিল ৩২০০, চলতি বছরে এই সংখ্যা ৫০০০ করার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে রাজ্য সরকারের।

প্রাণী সম্পদ বিকাশ দপ্তরের এই স্টল থেকে বিক্রি করা হচ্ছে মাংস, দিম এমনকি প্যাকেটবন্দী পায়েস। পায়েসের এই অভিনব আইডিয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের। গোবিন্দভোগ চাল, নলেন গুড়, কিসমিস আর ক্ষীর দিয়ে তৈরি হচ্ছে এই পায়েস যা এখন গ্র্যান্ড সাকসেস অর্জন করেছে।

আয়রন সাইড রোডে ইতিমধ্যেই প্রাণী সম্পদ বিকাশ দপ্তর একটি কিয়স্কের উদ্বোধন করে। এখান থেকে চাল, সবজি, মাছ, মাংস, ডিম, দুধ ও দুগ্ধজাত সব জিনিস বিক্রি করা হয়। আগামীদিনে রাজ্যে এরকম আরও ৪০০টি কিয়স্ক তৈরির পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে।

Kolkata Mayor Sovan Chatterjee, who is on a visit to Germay along with the Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, today held a meeting with Giesel Thomas, Mayor of North Rhine-Westphalia and invited him to the BGBS in 2017. Chatterjee initiated a dialogue with the city of Duesseldorf for a sister city partnership. Mayor Giesel said that he would take up the matter at the next council meeting and once it is through, a formal agreement would be signed.

The Kolkata Mayor said that steps had been taken to improve the infrastructure of Kolkata by making it greener and cleaner. He mentioned that a number of measures had also been taken to ease doing business in Bengal.

Kunming, the main city of the Yunnan province in China, has a twin city arrangement with Kolkata besides Jersey City, New Jersey, United States.

 

কলকাতার ‘সিস্টার শহর’ হতে ইচ্ছুক ডুসেলডর্ফ

ডুসেলডর্ফ শহরের সঙ্গে কলকাতার মউ স্বাক্ষরের হল। উল্লেখ্য,গতকাল ডুসেলডর্ফ শহরের সঙ্গে তিলোত্তমার ‘সিস্টার সিটি’ হওয়ার বিষয়টি নিয়ে চুক্তি করেন কলকাতার মেয়র ও মন্ত্রী শোভন চট্টোপাধ্যায়৷জার্মানি পৌঁছেই ডুসেলডর্ফের মেয়র গিজেল থমাসের সঙ্গে এক প্রতিনিধি দল নিয়ে বৈঠক করেন শোভন৷ আগামী বছর কলকাতায় যে বিশ্ববঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলন হচ্ছে সেখানে জার্মান শিল্পপতিদের সঙ্গে নিয়ে আসার জন্য ডুসেলডর্ফের মেয়রকে আমন্ত্রণ জানান বাংলার মেয়র।

কলকাতার মেয়র শোভন চট্টোপাধ্যায় বলেন কলকাতাকে পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্ন ও সবুজায়ন করার লক্ষ্যে বেশ কিছু পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হয়েছে। আরও কয়েকটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বৈঠকও করছেন তিনি৷ মেয়রের সঙ্গে আসা শিল্পপতিরাও এদিন ডুসলডর্ফে জার্মান বিনিয়োগকারীদের সঙ্গে বাংলায় যৌথ উদ্যোগে প্রকল্প বৈঠক করেন৷ মেয়রের সঙ্গে রয়েছেন শিল্পপতি সঞ্জীব গোয়েঙ্কা, ময়াঙ্ক জালান, পার্থ ঘোষ, সুমিত বাজাজ প্রমুখ৷

চীনের ইউনান প্রদেশের প্রধান শহর কুনমিং কলকাতার সঙ্গে একটি টুইন সিটি তৈরি করতে চায়, মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের জার্সি সিটি নিউ জার্সির পাশাপাশি।

A high powered official and business delegation from West Bengal, led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is in Germany to promote closer engagement and cooperation in various fields and explore trade and investment opportunities between Germany and Bengal.

The Bengal Chief Minister arrived in Germany on Monday night and she would be addressing an exclusive Interactive Session on September 7 in Munich and a series of meetings with German business leaders are on the cards during her visit between September 5 -9.

State Finance Minister Dr Amit Mitra invited German businessmen on Monday to attend the 3rd Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) scheduled to be held in the city on January 20 next year.

Dr Mitra said that the past two editions were particularly successful and had attracted participation from 31 countries while he was addressing a seminar on Business Opportunities in Bengal in  Dusseldorf on Monday.

Gunther Horzetzky, state secretary, Minister of Economic Affairs, Energy, Industry, SMEs and Crafts of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia said that a working group might be formed to take forward the discussions and chalk out a roadmap for closer engagement between the two regions.

Dr Amit Mitra and Kolkata Mayor Sovan Chatterjee along with a 29-member business delegation reached Duesseldorf on Monday where Mitra held a meeting with Norbert Walter Borjans, Finance Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia discussing bilateral issues.

 

 

মিউনিখে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী, আজ শিল্প বৈঠক

রাজ্যে বিদেশি বিনিয়োগের পাশাপাশি বাংলার পণ্য রফতানির ক্ষেত্র প্রস্তুত করতে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর নেতৃত্বে এক প্রতিনিধি বাণিজ্য দল জার্মানি এসেছেন।

সোমবার রাতে জার্মানি পৌঁছন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়৷ ৭ সেপ্টেম্বর মিউনিখে তিনি জার্মান ব্যবসায়ীদের সঙ্গে বৈঠক একটি বৈঠক করবেন।

বিএমডব্লিউ গাড়ি কোম্পানির সিইও এবং আধিকারিকদের সঙ্গে বৈঠকে বসছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী৷ বুধবার মিউনিখে জার্মান শিল্পমহলের সঙ্গে রয়েছে বাংলার প্রতিনিধি দলের বৈঠক৷ এটি এবারের সফরে বাণিজ্যিক দিক থেকে সব চেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ এবং বিনিয়োগের ক্ষেত্রেও অত্যন্ত তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ বলে মনে করছেন জার্মানিতে আসা বাংলার শিল্পপতিরা৷

বিমানবন্দরে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীকে জার্মান সরকারের শীর্ষ আধিকারিকরা ছাড়াও স্বাগত জানাতে হাজির ছিলেন বাংলা থেকে আগেই আসা দুই মন্ত্রী অমিত মিত্র ও শোভন চট্টোপাধ্যায়৷

এদিন মিউনিখে শিল্পমন্ত্রী অমিত মিত্র জানিয়েছেন, ৭ তারিখ মিউনিখে ম্যানুফ্যাকচারিং এবং অটোমোবাইল শিল্পের একটি কর্মশালা রয়েছে৷ মিউনিখে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর শিল্প  সম্মেলনে জার্মানির বিখ্যাত শিল্পপতিদের যোগ দেওয়ার সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে৷ জার্মানির চার শহরে শিল্প বৈঠক রয়েছে৷

মিউনিখ ছাড়াও ডুসেলডর্ফ, বাভেরিয়া, স্টুটগার্টে বৈঠক আছে৷ গাড়ি, আধুনিক প্রযুক্তি, উৎপাদন শিল্পে বিনিয়োগ, কলকাতা থেকে চামড়ার দ্রব্য রফতানি, দক্ষ মানবসম্পদ ও স্বচ্ছতায় জোর, পরিকাঠামো ইত্যাদি একাধিক ক্ষেত্রে বিনিয়োগ আরও মজবুত করতেই বৈঠক হওয়ার কথা৷ মাঝারি শিল্পে আরও গুরুত্ব দেওয়ার জন্য পদক্ষেপ করা হবে৷ মিউনিখে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে শিল্প বৈঠকে থাকবেন রাজ্যের বেশ কয়েকটি দফতরের সচিব৷

ডাঃ অমিত মিত্র এবং কলকাতার মেয়র শোভন চট্টোপাধ্যায় সহ ২৯ জন সদস্যের একটি ব্যবসায়ী প্রতিনিধি দল সোমবার ডুসেলডর্ফ পৌঁছে জার্মান বিনিয়োগকারীদের সঙ্গে বাংলায় যৌথ উদ্যোগে প্রকল্প বৈঠক করেন৷
