The Kolkata Police’s Safe Drive Save Life campaign has proved to be effective as the number of deaths owing to helmetless two-wheeler ride has halved ever since the drive was launched.

The initiative is a brainchild of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and was launched in July, 2016. Between July 8 and December 31, 2016, 32 helmetless bikers and pillion riders died on city roads, while the figure in the corresponding period the previous year stood at 61.

During the drive, a total 184 accidents were registered in the city, in which 195 people were killed. The corresponding period in 2015 saw 216 accidents, in which 220 people died.

Thanks to the drive, the total accidental deaths recorded through 2016 dropped to the lowest figure in the past half decade to 407. In 2016, pedestrian deaths also reduced to 193 from 218 in 2015. Those injured in non-fatal accidents also came down from 3,329 in 2015 to 3,182 in 2016.

সাফল্য পেল কলকাতা পুলিসের ‘সেফ ড্রাইভ সেভ লাইফ’ উদ্যোগ। সড়ক দুর্ঘটনায় হেলমেটহীন বাইক আরোহীর মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা প্রায় অর্ধেক হয়ে গেছে প্রচার শুরুর পর থেকে।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর মস্তিষ্কপ্রসূত এই উদ্যোগটি শুরু হয় ২০১৬র জুলাই মাস থেকে। ২০১৬র ৮ই জুলাই থেকে ৩১সে ডিসেম্বরের মধ্যে ৩২জন হেলমেটহীন বাইক আরোহীর মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা ৩২; এই একই সময়ে ২০১৫তে সংখ্যাটা ছিল ৬১।

২০১৬ সালে সব মিলিয়ে ১৮৪ টি দুর্ঘটনা ঘটেছে যার ফলে ১৯৫ জন প্রান হারিয়েছেন; ২০১৫ সালে দুর্ঘটনার সংখ্যা ছিল ২১৬ এবং তাতে প্রাণ হারিয়েছিলেন ২২০ জন।

সরকারের এই উদ্যোগের ফলে ২০১৬ সালে সড়ক দুর্ঘটনার সংখ্যা ছিল ৪০৭, যা গত ৫বছরে সর্বনিম্ন। পথচারীদের মৃত্যুর সংখ্যাও ২০১৫ সাল (২১৮) থেকে ১৯৩ তে নেমে এসেছে। সড়ক দুর্ঘটনায় আহতের সংখ্যা ২০১৫ সালে ছিল ৩,৩২৯ যা ২০১৬ সালে কমে দাঁড়িয়েছে ৩,১৮২তে।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s relentless fight against demonetisation has become the theme for one of her books released at the 2017 Kolkata International Book Fair. Note-Kotha details her fight against this anti-people decision of the Central Government. This is one of the six books that Mamata Banerjee has written, that have been released at the book fair this year.

Another major release is Singur Joyee, her book on the successful fight for farmers’ rights in Singur, a fight that has become a milestone in the crusade for land rights worldwide, and of course a landmark in the Mamata Banerjee’s illustrious career in public life.

Manusher Joy 2016 is based on Mamata Banerjee’s successful campaign for the 2016 Assembly election, which resulted in the Trinamool Congress Government winning the mandate for a second successful five-year term.

The other three books written by the Chief Minister that released at the 2017 Book Fair are Byaktityo, a book of poems, Namanjoli Dwitiyo, the second part of her book of names, and Khushbu.

The Chief Minister has expressed her happiness at being able to have written six books, despite her busy schedule. With these six, Mamata Banerjee has completed 69 books.

 

বইমেলায় মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর ৬ বই

বইমেলায় পাওয়া যাচ্ছে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা ব্যানার্জির লেখা ৬টি বই। নোট বাতিল নিয়ে তাঁর লেখা বই ‌‘‌নোট কথা’‌। নোট বাতিলের ফলে দেশ জুড়ে যে ভোগান্তি হয়েছে তারই প্রতিবাদে এই বইটি।

নোট বাতিল কাণ্ডের আগে সিঙ্গুর নিয়ে সুপ্রিম কোর্ট রায় দেয়। কৃষকদের জমি ফিরিয়ে দিতে বলে। বৃত্ত সম্পূর্ণ হয় মমতা ব্যানার্জির ১০ বছরের আন্দোলনের। জমি আন্দোলনের ইতিহাস ও গতিপ্রকৃতির কথা রয়েছে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর ‘‌সিঙ্গুর জয়ী’‌ বইটিতে।

এ ছাড়া ‘‌নামাঞ্জলি ২’‌, ‘‌ব্যক্তিত্ব’‌, ‘‌মানুষের জয় ২০১৬’‌ এবং ‘‌‌মহাশ্বেতা দেবী ‌এক জীবনেই স্মৃতিকথা সংগ্রহ’‌। বইগুলি প্রকাশ করেছে দে’‌জ পাবলিশার্স। বইগুলি থাকবে বইমেলায় জাগো বাংলার স্টলে।

‘‌মানুষের জয় ২০১৬’‌ নামটি বলছে তৃণমূলের দ্বিতীয়বার বিধানসভা নির্বাচন জয়ের কথা। বইটি তিনি উৎসর্গ করেছেন সাধারণ মানুষকে।‌

Those damaging public property will have to pay compensation from now, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced today.

She was speaking at the Khadya Sathi Dibas function at Red Road, Kolkata. She said a Bill regarding this will soon be placed in the State Assembly.

The CM said: “Some parties are trying to incite violence and riots. Bengal will not tolerate their motives”. She appealed to the people not to “pay heed to the misinformation and rumour-mongering of some political parties.”

She also asked people to “ignore and isolate the destructive elements who are trying to disturb the peace in the State”. She also appealed to the people not to take law into their own hands. “The government is with you,” the Chief Minister added.

 

উদ্ভ্রান্ত, উশৃঙ্খল লোকেদের প্ররোচনায় পা দেবেন নাঃ মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় 

যারা সরকারি সম্পত্তি নষ্ট করবে তাদের ক্ষতিপূরণ দিতে হবে, আজ একথা ঘোষণা করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

খাদ্যসাথী দিবস উপলক্ষে রেড রোডে একটি অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য রাখেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। সেখানেই তিনি জানান, খুব শীঘ্রই রাজ্য সরকার এই সংক্রান্ত বিল আনবে।

তিনি বলেন, “কিছু কিছু রাজনৈতিক দল মিথ্যা অপপ্রচার চালাচ্ছে, দাঙ্গা লাগানোর চেষ্টা করছে। বাংলা এসব বরদাস্ত করবে না”। কোনরকম প্ররোচনায় পা না দেওয়ারও আবেদন জানান মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

তিনি আরও বলেন, “যারা বাংলার শান্তি নষ্ট করতে চাইছে তাদের ইগনোর করুন, আইসোলেট করুন। কোন রকম সমস্যায় পড়লে সরকার মানুষের পাশে আছে, কেউ নিজের হাতে আইন তুলে নেবেন  না”।

Bengal government is committed towards prevention of pollution levels in the State. To achieve this goal, the government is taking several initiatives. The government is going to introduce environment-friendly buses in the State.

The Chief Minister will flag off seven CNG buses today on the sidelines of Khadya Sathi Dibas and Police investiture ceremony. The buses will start plying on the roads for public from 30 January, 2017.

Two private bus manufacturing companies have been given the contract to make 20 CNG buses, out of which 10 are ready. Seven of these will be displayed at Red Road today. The CNG bus service will be initially rolled out in Asansol-Raniganj region.

 

রাজ্যে পরিবেশ-বান্ধব সিএনজি বাস পরিষেবা চালু করছে রাজ্য সরকার

দূষণ রোধের জন্য বিভিন্ন পরিকল্পনা গ্রহণ করেছে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার। সেই মতোই সারা রাজ্য জুড়ে পরিবেশ-বান্ধব বাস চালু করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার।

সেই পরিকল্পনা অনুযায়ী আজ রেড রোডে সাতটি সিএনজি বাস উদ্বোধন করবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এই পরিবেশ-বান্ধব বাসগুলি রেড রোডের প্রদর্শনীতেই প্রথম বার পথে নামবে। এর পর ৩০ তারিখ থেকে তা রাস্তায় চলবে।

রাজ্য সরকার দু’টি বাস প্রস্তুতকারী সংস্থাকে মোট ২০টি বাস তৈরির জন্য বরাত দিয়েছে। তার মধ্যে ৭টিকে রেড রোডে এ দিন বের করা হবে। এই পরিষেবা প্রথমে রানিগঞ্জ ও আসানসোলের মধ্যে চালু করা হবে ।

On the sidelines of Khadya Sathi Dibas celebrations and the police investiture ceremony at Red Road today, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated several healthcare initiatives that opened new frontiers in the sector in the State.

The Chief Minister inaugurated two Mother and Child Care Hubs – a 126-bedded one at Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata and a 170-bedded one at Bankura Sammilani Medical College and Hospital, the 500-bedded MR Bangur Multi Super-Specialty Hospital in Kolkata, 14 state-of-the art operation theatres and a renovated Ramrikdas Harlalka Hospital in Kolkata, with 100 beds for neurological treatment.

Under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee, healthcare in Government hospitals in Bengal has become more accessible and advanced. Beds and medicines are free at the hospitals and health centres. Infant mortality rate in the State has come down to 26 while institutional delivery has risen to 90%. There has been considerable increase in the number of medical seats in the State, and nine more medical colleges are on the anvil.

 

বাংলায় উন্নততর স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবা প্রদানের লক্ষ্যে বেশ কিছু পদক্ষেপ

খাদ্য সাথী দিবস ও পুলিশ অলঙ্করণ দিবসের সূচনার পাশাপাশি আজ রেড রোডে উন্নততর স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবা প্রদানের লক্ষ্যে আরও কিছু পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করছে রাজ্য সরকার।

আজ মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বেশ কিছু প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করবেন। সেগুলি হল – কলকাতা মেডিকেল কলেজ ও হাসপাতালে ১২৬ শয্যা বিশিষ্ট মাদার ও চাইল্ড হাব, বাঁকুড়া সম্মিলনী মেডিকেল কলেজ ও হাসপাতালে ১৭০ শয্যা বিশিষ্ট মাদার ও চাইল্ড হাব, কলকাতায় ৫০০ শয্যা ও ১৪টি অত্যাধুনিক অপারেশন থিয়েটার সমৃদ্ধ এম.আর.বাঙ্গুর সুপার স্পেশালিটি হাসপাতাল ও স্নায়ুরোগ চিকিৎসার জন্য ১০০ শয্যার নবরূপে নির্মিত রামরিকদাস হরলালকা হাসপাতাল।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নেতৃত্বে সরকারি হাসপাতালগুলির পরিষেবা আরও দ্রুত ও উন্নত হয়েছে। সরকারি হাসপাতালে বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসার সুযোগ পাচ্ছেন সাধারণ মানুষ।

রাজ্যে শিশু মৃত্যুর হার কমে হয়েছে ২৬। রাজ্যে অনেকগুলি নতুন মেডিকেল কলেজ তৈরি হয়েছে এবং বেশ কিছু মেডিকেল কলেজের পুনঃসংস্করণ করা হয়েছে।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee initiated Khadya Sathi Dibas and Police Investiture Ceremony today at a function on Red Road.

In this colourful programme, beneficiaries from across state who have received helps from departments like Food & Supplies, Health & Family Welfare, Women & Child Development & Social Welfare, Backward Classes Welfare, Forest, Sports, I&CA’s Development schemes marched at the event.

Tableaux of departments including like Food & Supplies, Health & Family Welfare, Women & Child Development & Social Welfare, Backward Classes Welfare, Forest, Sports, I&CA were attractions of today’s event. The Bengal Chief Minister also decorated State Police officers for their courage and gallantry on the line of duty.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the development in Bengal is a model for the whole world. She said: “Over 8 crore people are getting rice at Rs 2/kilo in Bengal. Over 90% people in the State have got some direct govt benefit. The infant mortality rate of Bengal has fallen from 32 to 26 out of 1000 while the national average increased from 33 to 37. We have set up 307 SNSUs, 60 SNCUs, 13 Mother and Child Hubs, many HDUs. Institutional delivery is a major socio-economic parameter. It has increased from 65% to 90% in 5 years.”

The CM added: “We want the young generation of Bengal to stand on their own feet. It is our responsibility to highlight the talent of the State. We have ensured employment for contractual workers, ICDS/Asha workers. We have started health insurance scheme ‘Swasthya Sathi’ for 3 crore people. Healthcare is free at govt hospitals. We have initiated a new scheme ‘Sabuj Shree’ under which saplings will be given to families of all newborns.”

Despite financial problems, we are working for the people and will continue to do so in the future, Mamata Banerjee added.

 

 

বাংলার উন্নয়নের কর্মসূচি বিশ্বের কাছে একটি মডেল: মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

আজ রেড রোডে খাদ্য সাথী দিবস ও পুলিশ অলঙ্করণ দিবসের শুভ সূচনা করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। সাহসিকতার জন্য এদিন পশ্চিমবঙ্গ পুলিশের অলংকরণও করেন তিনি।

এই অনুষ্ঠানে খাদ্য ও সরবরাহ, স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যাণ, পরিবহন, নারী ও শিশু উন্নয়ন এবং সমাজ কল্যাণ, অনগ্রসর শ্রেণি কল্যাণ, বন, ক্রীড়া, তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি বিভাগের উন্নয়নমূলক প্রকল্পগুলির উপভোক্তাদের শোভাযাত্রা এবং সুকন্যা প্রকল্পের ছাত্রীদের আত্মরক্ষার কলা-কৌশল প্রদর্শিত হয়।

অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, “রাজ্য সরকারের খাদ্য সাথী প্রকল্পের আওতায় বাংলার ৮ কোটি মানুষ ২ টাকা কেজি দরে চাল পাচ্ছেন।  এছাড়া ৯০% মানুষ আজ সরাসরি সরকারি পরিষেবা পাচ্ছেন। অস্থায়ী কর্মী, আই সি ডি এস/ আশার কর্মীদের চাকরি সুনিশ্চিত করেছে রাজ্য সরকার। স্বাস্ত্য সাথী প্রকল্পের আওতায় ৩ কোটি মানুষ সরকারি হাসপাতালে বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা পাচ্ছেন। ‘সবুজ শ্রী’ নতুন প্রকল্প চালু হয়েছে এর মাধ্যমে নবজাতকদের নামে একটি করে চারা গাছ দেওয়া হবে তাদের পরিবারের হাতে। ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্ম যাতে নিজের পায়ে দাঁড়াতে পারে সেজন্য রাজ্য সরকার সব রকম্ভাবে সচেষ্ট। রাজ্যের প্রতিভা তুলে ধরা আমাদের কর্তব্য”। 

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী জানান, “লোক প্রসার প্রকল্পের আওতায় ৮০ হাজার লোকশিল্পী আর্থিক সহায়তা পাচ্ছেন। আজ বাঙ্গুর সুপার স্পেশালিটি হাসপাতালের উদ্বোধন হল। অনেক মাদার ও চাইল্ড হাব তৈরি করা হচ্ছে। শিশু মৃত্যুর হার রাজ্যে হাজারে ৩২ থেকে কমে হয়েছে ২৬। ৩০৭ টি এস এন এস ইউ, ৬০টি এস এন সি ইউ, ১৩টি মাদার ও চাইল্ড হাব, অনেক এইচ ডি ইউ তৈরি হয়েছে। ইনস্টিটিউশনাল ডেলিভারি বিকাশের একটি মাপকাঠি। ৫ বছরে এর হার ৬৫% থেকে বৃদ্ধি পেয়ে ৯০% হয়েছে। সেফ ড্রাইভ সেভ লাইফ এর মাধ্যমে মানুষের মধ্যে সচেতনতা তৈরি করা হয়েছে। মেয়েদের আত্মরক্ষার প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হচ্ছে সুকন্যা প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে”।

Attacking the Central Government sharply, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Wednesday said that the Centre snatched away the financial freedom of the common people of India through demonetisation.

“People are not able to withdraw their own money from banks. Democratic and political rights are meaningless without financial rights. Central govt has once again made us dependent despite so many years of independence,” she said while addressing reporters at Sukna.

She made an appeal to the Centre to take back all limits on cash withdrawal immediately. She maintained that people will not forgive the Centre for causing them so much suffering due to demonetisation.

Mamata Banerjee also said that Trinamool is being targeted because the party protested against demonetisation. “Sudip Bandyopadhyay is innocent. He has committed no fault. This is political vendetta, nothing else,” she said.

 

সাধারণ মানুষের অর্থনৈতিক অধিকার কেড়ে নেওয়া হয়েছেঃ মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারকে কড়া ভাষায় আক্রমণ করে এদিন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বলেন, নোট বাতিলের মাধ্যমে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার সাধারণ মানুষের অর্থনৈতিক অধিকার কেড়ে নিয়েছে।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, “সাধারণ মানুষ ব্যাঙ্ক থেকে নিজের টাকা তুলতে পারছেন না। অর্থনৈতিক অধিকার কেড়ে নিলে রাজনৈতিক ও গণতান্ত্রিক অধিকার অর্থহীন হয়ে পড়ে। স্বাধীনতার এত বছর পরেও কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের হঠকারী সিদ্ধান্তের জন্য আজ মানুষ পরাধীন”।

তিনি কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের কাছে সব বিধি নিষেধ প্রত্যাহারের দাবি জানান। তিনি বলেন এই গণতান্ত্রিক শোষণ ও শাসন আগামীদিনে ভারতের মানুষ ক্ষমা করবে না।

সাংসদ সুদীপ বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের গ্রেফতারি প্রসঙ্গে তিনি বলেন, “উনি কোন অপরাধ করেননি, উনি নির্দোষ। এটা রাজনৈতিক প্রতিহিংসা ছাড়া আর কিছু নয়”।

 

HIDCO Inks MoU With South Korea’s Handong Global University

West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO) has signed a MoU with Handong Global University of South Korea during the Bengal Global Business Summit for technical cooperation. The areas that will be covered under the MoU include green city, renewable energy, e-governance and start ups.

New Town is coming up as a green city. Around 40,000 saplings were planted in connection with Vanmahotsav to increase green cover of the area. Nurseries have been set up to grow tall trees. Also, a floating jetting is coming up on Bagjola canal. Several parks meant for children, senior citizens and even for pets have come up.

Steps have been taken to replace the old street lights by LED lights. Green buildings have been given additional FAR as an incentive. Rooftop gardens have been encouraged and organic vegetables are being grown on rooftop. Collaboration with a foreign university will help HIDCO to exchange views to develop new ideas.

HIDCO, Nabadiganta Industrial Township Authority (NDITA) and New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) have already introduced e-governance and attempts have been made to make the offices paperless ones. Already complaints to the residents are registered online and actions are taken. HIDCO has taken up a project to recycle sewer water. As New Town is coming up as a modern city, exchange of views with different institutions is essential to adapt state of the art methods.

তৃতীয় বিশ্ব বঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলনে দক্ষিণ কোরিয়ার হ্যানডং গ্লোবাল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সঙ্গে মউ স্বাক্ষর করলো হিডকো। গ্রীন সিটি, নবীকরণযোগ্য

শক্তি, ই-গভরনেন্স ও স্টার্ট আপের ক্ষেত্রে সহযোগিতার জন্য স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে এই মউ।

নিউটাউনকে গ্রীন সিটি বানানোর উদ্যোগ ইতিমধ্যেই নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার। বনমহো९সব উপলক্ষে আনুমানিক ৪০ হাজার চারাগাছ রোপণ করা হয়েছে এখানে। গাছগুলিকে বড় করতে নার্সারি তৈরি করা হয়েছে। বাগজোলা খালে একটি ভাসমান জেটি তৈরি করা হবে। পরিবেশ বান্ধব বাড়িগুলিকে অতিরিক্ত FAR দেওয়া হচ্ছে। অনেক পার্ক তৈরি করা হচ্ছে শিশু, বৃদ্ধ ও সারমেয়দের জন্য। রাস্তার ধারে পুরনো সব আলো বদলে LED আলো লাগানো হচ্ছে। বাড়ির ছাদের ওপর বাগান গড়তে উ९সাহ দেওয়া হচ্ছে।

আশা করা যায় এই মউ এর ফলে নবউদ্যমে গ্রীন সিটি তৈরির কাজ এগোবে। HIDCO, NDITA ও NKDA ইতিমধ্যেই ই-গভরনেন্স চালু করেছে ও পরিকল্পনা আছে দপ্তরগুলিকে সম্পূর্ণ ভাবে ‘পেপারলেস’ করার। HIDCO একটি প্রকল্প নিয়েছে নর্দমার জল পরিশ্রুত করার জন্য। যেহেতু নিউ টাউনকে অত্যাধুনিক শহর হিসেবে রূপায়িত করা হচ্ছে, ফলে এখানে আরও উন্নতি করতে বিভিন্ন সংস্থার সঙ্গে আলোচনা ও মত বিনিময় খুব প্রয়োজন।

State Information Technology and Electronics department will set up a digital depository in which government departments and educational institutions will be able to store important documents such as school leaving certificates, college degrees, academic awards, mark-sheets and licenses and other important testimonials.

This will make administration transparent and the files will be properly preserved. To ensure that only the authentic documents are uploaded in the system, the issuer departments, private agencies will be given the right to upload the documents whereas government to citizen services will be made available for viewing and downloading the documents.

The digital depository will benefit the people immensely. Firstly, the issuer departments will directly upload necessary citizen testimonials and also departmental documents onto a secure online platform after digitally signing the same.

Secondly, the depository will ease validation of the authenticity of documents as they will be issued directly and will be digitally signed by the registered issuers.

Thirdly, it will help create a highly secured centralised depository of digitally signed e documents with easy update, retrieval and administration facilities for departments and organisations with the state.

It will eliminate administrative overhead of government and private entities by minimising the use of paper and by uploading digital documents. Authorised people can request for access to important citizen records and digital documents anytime and anywhere.

 

ডিজিটাল ডিপোজিটোরি তৈরি করতে চলেছে রাজ্য সরকার

রাজ্য তথ্য প্রযুক্তি ও ইলেকট্রনিক্স দপ্তর একটি Digital Depository তৈরি করতে চলেছে যেখানে সরকারি দপ্তরগুলি এবং বিভিন্ন শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলি নানা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নথি জমা রাখতে পারবেন। শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলি ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের স্কুল ছাড়ার সার্টিফিকেট, ডিগ্রী, বিভিন্ন পুরস্কারের নথি যেমন রাখতে পারবে, তেমনই সরকারি দপ্তরগুলি বিভিন্ন লাইসেন্সের ডিজিটাল প্রতিলিপিও জমা করে রাখতে পারবে এই ডিজিটাল ডিপোজিটোরিতে।

এই উদ্যোগের ফলে সরকারি কাজে যেমন স্বচ্ছতা আসবে, তেমনই পাশাপাশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নথিও যথাযথ ভাবে সংরক্ষিত হবে।

এই উদ্যোগের ফলে জনসাধারন খুব উপকৃত হবেন কারণ তারা যেকোনো সময় যেকোনো জায়গা থেকে তার প্রয়োজনীয় নথি দেখতে ও প্রয়োজন হলে ডাউনলোড করতে পারবেন।

Work is going on a war footing to complete eastern India’s largest Biswa Bangla Convention Centre. The centre will be thrown open sometime later this year.

The Biswa Banlga Convention Centre is 18 storeys tall and covers an area of 4.57 lakh square feet. The construction of the centre began following the direction of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The centre houses a mega conference hall, with seating capacity of 3000, and has a state-of-the-art conference facility.

It also boasts of two seminar rooms, each with 376 seats, four banquet rooms and a 100 key hotel as annexe within the same campus. The convention centre also has a multi-level car parking facility. Bookings have already started for the convention centre.

The Centre is situated close to Eco Park, the most popular tourist destination in the city, and Mother’s Wax Museum. A stretch on the Bagjola canal, situated close to the Convention Centre, is being beautified. The banks have been developed and a floating jetty will be constructed.

New Town is fast coming up as a medical and educational hub, with St. Xavier’s University and Presidency University soon to start construction of their second campuses.

 

বিশ্ববাংলা কনভেনশন সেন্টারের কাজ দ্রুত শেষ করার প্রক্রিয়া চলছে

পূর্ব ভারতের সর্ববৃহৎ বিশ্ববাংলা কনভেনশন সেন্টারের কাজ দ্রুত সম্পন্ন করার প্রক্রিয়া চলছে। এই বছরের শেষ দিকেই এটি খোলার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে।

আঠারো তলার এই সেন্টারটি তৈরি হচ্ছে ৪.৫৭ লক্ষ বর্গফুট এলাকার ওপর। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নির্দেশেই কনভেনশন সেন্টারের কাজ শুরু হয়। এখানে রয়েছে একটি কনফারেন্স রুম যেখানে প্রায় ৩০০০ সিট রয়েছে। একইসঙ্গে শিল্প সম্মেলনের সুবিধাও রয়েছে।

এই সেন্টারে ২টি সেমিনার কক্ষ থাকবে, তার প্রতিটিতে থাকবে ৩৪৬টি সিট। একই ক্যাম্পাসের মধ্যে ৪ টি খাবার ঘর সহ ১০০ টি হোটেল রুম থাকবে। এছাড়া এখানে মাল্টি লেভেল গাড়ী পার্কিং সুবিধা থাকছে। ইতিমধ্যেই এই কনভেনশন সেন্টারের জন্য বুকিং শুরু হয়ে গেছে।

এই সেন্টারটি শহরের সবচেয়ে জনপ্রিয় পর্যটন কেন্দ্র ইকো পার্কের মাদার ওয়াক্স মিউজিয়ামের কাছেই অবস্থিত। কনভেনশান সেন্টারের কাছে অবস্থিত বাগজোলা খালটিরও সৌন্দর্যায়ন করা হচ্ছে। খালের পাড় সংস্কার করা হচ্ছে। ভাসমান জেটিও তৈরি হবে।

নিউ টাউনেই প্রথম মেডিকেল ও এডুকেশানাল হাব তৈরি হবে। সেন্ট জেভিয়ার্স ও প্রেসিডেন্সি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের দ্বিতীয় ক্যাম্পাসের কাজও শুরু হবে খুব শীঘ্রই।
