Thank you Hon. Deputy Chairman Sir.

Sir, the population of senior citizens in our country is 10.38 crore, which is about 8.6 per cent of the total population. Recently, the interest rates on major savings schemes like Public Provident Fund (PPF), Kisan Vikas Patra and Senior Citizens Saving Scheme were cut by 10 basis points. The interest on PPF is now at 7.9 per cent, which is the lowest since 1980.

When bank fixed deposits offer much less returns, these types of savings schemes are the only feasible options for senior citizens and retired persons. The Government has said that this is necessary because Government bond yields fall due to market fluctuations.

Sir, small savings have two important incentives – one, it has tax benefits, and two, it is safe when compared to the market.

This type of market-influenced small savings is hurting investors, especially old people, farmers and women. 1.61 lakh senior citizens’ savings schemes are in operation. About 85 lakh Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana accounts have been opened, with more than 5 lakh in Bengal itself.

This step is causing hardship to them as their savings are being hugely hit. There are apprehensions that these rates will fall more sharply in the future as they are linked to the market.

The Government has also changed the process by revising rates every quarter instead of annual revisions. People are being forced to invest directly in the market, which is risky. The Government is in favour of corporates rather than its people.

Savings are the backbone of the Indian economy, and hence the Government’s policy should be towards encouraging and incentivising the same. I hope the Government will take into consideration the distress caused by this move to the people and take a decision on the revision of rates so that lakhs of people do not lose on their return on savings.

The Government should take the example of West Bengal and set up a toll-free senior citizens’ helpline to raise awareness and help them in such matters. The National Policy for Senior Citizens must be revised at the earliest.

Like the White Revolution and the Pink Revolution, we should introduce a Grey Revolution to protect the senior citizens of our country, who have dedicated their lives to its welfare.

Trinamool Youth Congress President and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee today addressed a mega rally at Barasat Kacchari Maidan. This was his second public rally after recovering from the frightful car accident in October, 2016.

The first rally, which Abhishek termed as the beginning of a ‘second innings’, was held at Diamond Harbour SDO ground on April 2, 2017.

Abhishek slammed the Opposition calling the CPI(M) ideology-less, Congress as directionless and BJP as issue-less power greedy party. He said that more the attempts are made to malign Mamata Banerjee, the stronger Trinamool will become.

“We will not allow any communal violence in Bengal. We will not allow the peace and harmony of the State to be destroyed,” he said. He asked party workers to prepare posters warning people to beware of ‘chhoddobeshi’ CPI(M) and ‘poddobeshi’ BJP. He slammed the BJP saying Modi promised development but his party is full of rioters and child traffickers. He also said what someone wears or eats is their personal choice and no one should interfered.

On demonetisation he said that Trinamool wants black money to be recovered but not at the cost of the poor people. He slammed the BJP for not allowing obituary references in Parliament to those who died due to demonetisation. “People do not have the right to access their own money. What times are we living in? Our leader held protests across the country on this issue”.

Calling the BJP “Bangla Jalao Party” and “Bachcha Jharo Party”, Abhishek Banerjee said, Trinamool has fulfilled the promises made in the Manifesto and is working towards turning Bengal around. He asked the party workers to start preparing for Panchayat elections.

নীতিহিন সিপিএম, চরিত্রহীন কংগ্রেস আর উদ্দেশ্যহীন-ক্ষমতালোভী বিজেপিকে বাতিল করবে মানুষঃ অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

আজ বারাসাতের কাছারি ময়দানে এক বিশাল জনসভায় অংশগ্রহণ করেন তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেস সভাপতি তথা লোকসভা সাংসদ অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। গত বছর অক্টোবর মাসের দুর্ঘটনার পর এটা হবে তাঁর দ্বিতীয় জনসভা।

গত রবিবার ডায়মন্ড হারবারের এসডিও মাঠে অভিষেক নিজের রাজনৈতিক জীবনের “দ্বিতীয় অধ্যায়” শুরু করেন। সেই সভায় বিজেপির বিভাজনের রাজনীতির বিরুদ্ধে সরব হন অভিষেক।

“বাংলা কারো কাছে মাথা নত করে নি। যা করার করুক, আমরা দিল্লীর সামনে হারব না। ইস্যুহীন কংগ্রেস, চরিত্রহীন সিপিএম ও দিশাহীন ক্ষমতা লোভী বিজেপি একসঙ্গে হয়েছে,” বলেন তিনি।

তাঁর বক্তব্যের কিছু বিষয়ঃ 

  • আপনাদের আশীর্বাদ দোয়া, প্রার্থনার জন্য আজ আমি আপনাদের সামনে এসেছি। উন্নয়নের রথ অব্যাহত রয়েছে সেটা আপনাদের জনসমুদ্রতেই প্রমাণিত
  • তৃণমূল সাধারণ মানুষের অহংকার, অলংকার, জেদ ও আবেগ। তৃণমূলের বিরুদ্ধে যত কুৎসা হয় দল ততই শক্তিশালী হয়
  • আগামী পঞ্চায়েত নির্বাচনে পর উত্তর ২৪ পরগনার কোন গ্রামে সিপিএম-বিজেপি-কংগ্রেস কে খুঁজে পাওয়া যাবে না। এই রাজ্যে নীতিহিন সিপিএম, চরিত্রহীন কংগ্রেস আর উদ্দেশ্যহীন-ক্ষমতালোভী বিজেপি এক হয়ে তৃণমূল নেত্রীকে কলঙ্কিত করে চলেছে। মানুষ এটা মেনে নেয়নি আর নেবেও না
  • সিবিআই, ইডি দেখিয়ে তৃণমূলকে দমানো যাবে না। এই বাংলাকে ভাগ হতে দেব না। কোন রকম সাম্প্রদায়িকতা বরদাস্ত করব না
  • নেতাজি বলেছিলেন, ‘তোমরা আমাকে রক্ত দাও। আমি তোমাদের স্বাধীনতা দেব’।  বিজেপি বলে আমাকে কুর্সি দাও, আমরা বাংলায় রক্তের বন্যা বইয়ে দেব।
  • আগে ছদ্মবেশী সিপিএম মুখে লাল কাপড় বেঁধে মানুষকে অত্যাচার করত, এখন মুখে গেরুয়া কাপর বেঁধে পদ্মবেশী বিজেপি এই বাংলাকে হিন্দু-মুস্লিমে ভেঙে দিতে চাইছে।
  • যতই সিপিএম জঘন্য ভাষায় আমাদের আক্রমণ করুক, আমি আমাদের দলের কর্মীদের বলব ‘সংযত থাকো উত্তরটা ব্যালট বাক্সে ওরা পেয়ে যাবে’।
  • পোস্টার বানান, ‘ছদ্মবেশী ও পদ্মবেশী হইতে সাবধান’। বাংলাকে ভাতে মারার চক্রান্ত করছে কেন্দ্র। কেন্দ্র কোন টাকা পাঠাচ্ছে না।
  • মোদী প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিল উন্নয়ন করবে। কিন্তু তিনি বাংলায় দুটি জিনিস দিয়েছেন। দাঙ্গাবাজ ও বাচ্চা চোর। শিশু পাচারে যারা জড়িত তার পূর্ণ তদন্ত হওয়া উচিত।
  • আমাদের সরকার কন্যাশ্রী, সবুজ সাথী, নতুন রাস্তা, খাদ্য সাথী, স্কলারশিপ, গীতাঞ্জলী, হাসপাতাল সব করেছে। আমাদের লক্ষ্য বাংলার মানুষের পাশে থাকা এবং বাংলার মানুষের হয়ে লড়াই করা।
  • আমাদের কর্মীরা আমাদের সম্পদ, পুরনো যেসব কর্মীরা লড়াই করে রক্ত দিয়ে সংগ্রাম করেছে, তাদেরকে সম্মান দিতে হবে। তৃণমূল যারা করবে তাদের দিদির সংগ্রামকে পাথেয় করে চলতে হবে।
  • কে কি পরবে, কে কি খাবে সেটা তাদের পার্সোনাল চয়েস, আমার টাকা আমার কাছে থাকতে পারছে না। এরকম খারাপ দিন আগে কখনও আসেনি। ২০১৯-এ বিজেপি এসবের ফল পেয়ে যাবে।
  • বিজেপি মানে বাংলা জ্বালাও পার্টি আর বাচ্ছা ঝাড়ো পার্টি। আমরা চাই কালো টাকা ধ্বংস হোক কিন্তু গরীবের চোখের জল ফেলে নয়। আমাদের নেত্রীর নেতৃত্বে আমরা একাধিক আন্দোলন করেছি সারা দেশে। ডেরেক ও ব্রায়েন রাজ্যসভাতে এক মিনিট নীরবতা চেয়েছিলেন যারা মারা গেছেন তাদের উদ্দেশ্যে, কিন্তু, বিজেপি সে প্রস্তাব হেসে উড়িয়ে দিয়েছে।
  • আমাদের ইস্তেহারে যা বলা ছিল, আমরা তা করেছি। যেমন সিঙ্গুরের জমি আমরা ফেরত দিয়েছি। কিন্তু, বিজেপি তাদের কথা অনুযায়ী কালো টাকা ফেরত আনতে পারেনি।
  • আমাদের লড়াই বাংলার সোনালী দিন ফিরিয়ে আনার লড়াই। বিরোধীরা সব কিছুতেই কোর্টে চলে যায়, ওরা কোর্টে থাকুক আর আমরা ভোটে থাকবো। তৃণমূল বাংলার মানুষের মনের মধ্যে রয়েছে।
  • আপনারা এমন ভাবে লড়াই করুন যাতে আগামী পঞ্চায়েতে সিপিএম কংগ্রেস বা বিজেপি কোথাও মাথা তুলে না দাঁড়াতে পারে। সততার কোনও বিকল্প হয় না। উন্নয়নের বার্তাকে ঘরে ঘরে পৌঁছে দিন। সবাইকে শুভ নববর্ষ।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today declared Manbazar and Jhalda as the new sub-divisions of Purulia district. She also inaugurated a slew of developmental projects at Belkuri Hat Maidan in Purulia.

The CM laid the foundation stone for a medical college and hospital at Purulia. To boost the health infrastructure in Jangalmahal, she also inaugurated a 20-bedded SNCU at Raghunathpur Sub-Divisional Hospital in Purulia.

Mamata Banerjee also distributed the benefits of various government schemes like Kanyashree, Yuvashree, Sikshashree, Sabuj Shree, Sabuj Sathi among others.

Highlights of the CM’s speech:

  • We have distributed benefits to 22,000 people in Purulia today. 91% people in the district have received some benefit
  • We distribute saplings to the families of newborns under Sabuj Shree scheme
  • We give various scholarships to students – from Kanyashree to Sikshashree
  • We have distributed 35 lakh cycles under Sabuj Sathi last year. We will distribute 30 lakh cycles more this year
  • We have laid the foundation stone for a medical college in Purulia today
  • We have inaugurated a new SNCU at Raghunathpur today
  • We have inaugurated 28 check dams in Purulia district today along with 2 power sub-stations
  • We have inaugurated 3 bridges and 2 eco-tourism projects in Purulia
  • We have allotted 8 SNCUs and 2 multi super speciality hospitals to Purulia district
  • Purulia has achieved 100% electrification
  • We have given recognition to Al Chiki language
  • We are providing education loans up to Rs 10 lakh to SC/ST students to pursue higher education
  • We have started an Integrated Jangalmahal Development Project although Centre has stopped funds for Jangalmahal
  • 33,000 local youths have received employment in police forces in Purulia
  • We have taken up a Rs 1200 crore water supply project in Purulia
  • We are sanctioning more funds for development of stadia in the district. We want to promote sports
  • We will set up West Bengal Mahato-Kurmi Development Board with HQ in Purulia
  • We will develop Purulia as granite hub without causing harm to environment, keeping the interests of tribals intact
  • Why should youths of Purulia seek employment outside the district? We will create employment here itself
  • We will help self-help groups in poultry farming and egg production
  • 82,000 folk artistes receive monthly stipends. We will register one lakh artistes more by Durga Pujo
  • We are providing rice at Rs 2 /kg to people. Health care is free in Bengal
  • During Left rule, govt hospitals were in shambles. Now people praise the service in govt hospitals
  • Our Govt pays the premium of farmers’ crop insurance. We have registered 16 lakh farmers in this scheme
  • We have started Samabyathi scheme to help poor people cremate/bury the dead
  • We are renovating crematoria and burial grounds under Baitarini scheme
  • We have started Samarthan scheme for people who lost their jobs due to demonetisation
  • We have given land pattas to 3 lakh people. We are providing houses under Geetanjali scheme
  • We have done away with khajna (tax) on agricultural land
  • The youths and students are our future. They will make Bengal the best in the world

 

ঝালদা ও মানবাজারকে মহকুমা ঘোষণা করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

আজ ঝালদা ও মানবাজারকে পুরুলিয়া জেলার মহকুমা ঘোষণা করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। বেলকুড়ি হাটের ময়দানে আজ বেলা তিনটের সময় একটি জনসভায় এই ঘোষণা করেন তিনি। এছাড়াও বেশকিছু প্রকল্প উদ্বোধন ও শিলান্যাসও করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

পুরুলিয়ায় একটি মেডিকেল কলেজ ও হাসপাতালের শুভ শিলান্যাস করেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এছাড়াও জঙ্গলমহলে স্বাস্থ্য পরিকাঠামো আরও উন্নত করতে তিনি আজ ২০ শয্যার একটি এস যেন সি ইউ উদ্বোধন করেন রঘুনাথপুর মহকুমা হাসপাতালে।

আজকের সভামঞ্চ থেকে বিভিন্ন সরকারি পরিষেবাও প্রদান করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

 

তাঁর বক্তব্যের কিছু বিষয়ঃ

  • আজ ২২ হাজার মানুষকে বিভিন্ন পরিষেবা প্রদান করা হয়েছে। এই জেলার ৯১ শতাংশ মানুষের কাছে সরকারী পরিষেবা পৌঁছে দেওয়া হয়েছে
  • সদ্যোজাত শিশুদের পরিবারকে আমরা সবুজশ্রী প্রকল্পের আওতায় চারাগাছ দিচ্ছি
  • ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জন্য আমরা কন্যাশ্রী, শিক্ষাশ্রী স্কলারশিপ চালু করেছি
  • সবুজ সাথী প্রকল্পে ৩৫ লক্ষ সাইকেল দেওয়া হয়েছে। এই বছর আরও৩০ লক্ষ সাইকেল দেওয়া হবে
  • আজ পুরুলিয়ায় একটি মেডিকেল কলেজের শিলান্যাস করা হল
  • আজ রঘুনাথপুরে একটি নতুন এস এন সি ইউ- র উদ্বোধন করা হল
  • আজ এই জেলার জন্য ২৮টি চেক ড্যাম সহ ২টি বিদুতের সাব স্টেশনেরও উদ্বোধন করা হল
  • ৩টি ব্রিজ ও ২ টি ইকো-ট্যুরিজম প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন হল আজ

  • পুরুলিয়ার ৩৩ হাজার স্থানীয় ছেলেমেয়েদের পুলিশে চাকরি দেওয়া হয়েছে
  • পুরুলিয়ার জলসমস্যা মেটানোর জন্য জল সরবরাহ প্রকল্পে ১২০০ কোটি টাকা বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে
  • এই জেলার স্টেডিয়ামের উনয়নের জন্য আমরা আরও টাকা বরাদ্দ করেছি
  • পুরুলিয়ায় মাহাতো-কুর্মি উন্নয়ন পর্ষদ গঠন হবে
  • পরিবেশরক্ষা করে আর আদিবাসী ভাই বোনেদের স্বার্থ রক্ষা করে আমরা পুরুলিয়াকে গ্রানাইট হাব হিসেবে তৈরী করব
  • পুরুলিয়া জেলার ছেলেমেয়েরা কেন অন্য জেলায় যাবে চাকরির জন্য? আমরা এখানে কর্মসংস্থান করব
  • পোল্ট্রি চাষ ও ডিম উৎপাদনে আমরা স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠীদের সাহায্য করব
  • ৮২ হাজার লোকশিল্পীদের আমরা মাসিক ভাতা দিই, দুর্গা পুজোর আগেই আরও ১ লক্ষ লোকশিল্পীর নাম নথিভুক্ত হবে
  • আমরা ২ টাকা কিলো চাল দিচ্ছি মানুষকে, বাংলায় সরকারী হাসপাতালে বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা পরিষেবা পাওয়া যায়
  • বাম আমলে সরকারী হাসপাতালগুলির অবস্থা ছিল শোচনীয়। এখন মানুষ সরকারী হাসপাতালের পরিষেবার প্রশংসা করে
  • ১৬ লক্ষ কৃষককে আমরা ফসল বীমা দিচ্ছি। বীমার প্রিমিয়াম সরকার দেয়
  • গরীব মানুষদের সৎকারের জন্য আমরা সমব্যাথী প্রকল্প চালু করেছি
  • বৈতরণী প্রকল্পের আওতায় আমরা শশ্মান ও কবর স্থানগুলির সংস্কার করেছি
  • নোট বাতিলের ফলে যারা কর্মহীন হয়েছেন তাদের জন্য আমরা ‘সমর্থন’ প্রকল্প চালু করেছি
  • ৩ লক্ষ মানুষকে আমরা পাট্টা দিয়েছি। গীতাঞ্জলী প্রকল্পের আওতায় আমরা বাড়ি দিচ্ছি মানুষকে
  • কৃষিজমির খাজনা আমরা মকুব করে দিয়েছি
  • যুব ও ছাত্ররাই আমাদের দেশের ভবিষ্যৎ। ওরাই বাংলাকে বিশ্বসেরা করবে

Coming down heavily on the BJP, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday slammed the party for “appropriating festivals” and accused it of insulting the ‘Om’ symbol by using it in political rallies.

“Do not hold Ram Navami programme claiming the festival to be your exclusive thing. Do not try to incite unrest. For thousands of years, various religious organisations have been carrying on Ram Navami rallies,” she said at a public rally in Bankura.

“A party is planting flags and placing ‘Om’ symbols. You can sit at home and chant ‘Om’. How can they (BJP) use religious symbols in political rally? In UP, they (BJP) talk of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and in Bengal they play divisive politics.. they want to divide the Hindus-Muslims… the Sikhs-Christians, she added.

“One day if the Banerjees say that they have no relation with Chatterjees… if the tribals will say we will not live with Hindus… so on and so forth…. what will happen? Everything will shatter to pieces. The country will not remain united,” she said, adding Basanti Puja was always celebrated in Bengal.

 

ধর্মীয় অনুষ্ঠান নিয়ে রাজনীতি করছে বিজেপি: মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

ধর্মের নাম ভেদাভেদের রাজনীতিকে উস্কানি দেওয়ার অভিযোগে বিজেপিকে কড়া আক্রমণ করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। বুধবার বাঁকুড়ায় একটি জনসভায় তিনি বলেন:

• ভারতে ৩৩ কোটি দেব-দেবী রয়েছে। কেউ রামের পুজো করে, আবার কেউ রহিমের।
• আগেও বাংলায় বাসন্তী পূজো ছিল। নবমীর দিন রামনবমী পালন করা হতো। একে নিজেদের (বিজেপি) প্রোগ্রাম বলে চালাবেন না। এর সঙ্গে বিজেপি-র কোনও সম্পর্ক নেই।
• কোনও কাজ নেই, বিজেপি শুধু ধর্মীয় সুড়সুড়ি দিচ্ছে। পার্টির মিটিং-এ ধর্মের কথা বলছে। এখন বিজেপি উৎসব-ধর্মীয় অনুষ্ঠান নিয়েও রাজনীতি করছে।
• পার্টির পতাকায় ‘ওঁ’ লিখে দিচ্ছে। ধর্মগুরুরা ‘ওঁ’ লেখে। পলিটিক্যাল পার্টির পতাকায় ‘ওঁ’ লিখছে। কী ভাবে ধর্মীয় প্রতীক রাজনৈতিক মিছিলে ব্যবহার করছে? তাহ লে প্রতীক পরিবর্তন করে নিন।
• উত্তরপ্রদেশে বলছে ‘সবকা সাথ সবকা বিকাশ’। বলছে মুসলমানদের ভোট পেয়েছে। আর এখানে এসে হিন্দু-মুসলমান ভাগ করছে।
• সিপিএম-এর মন্ত্রে চলছে বিজেপি। এরা দিনে সিপিএম, রাতে বিজেপি। দিনে বিজেপি, রাতে সিপিএম। আসলে সিপিএম-এর কোলে বিজেপি দোলে।
• আমরা যেমন ঈদ পালন করি, তেমনই ক্রিসমাসও পালন করি। আমার বাড়িতে গত ৪০ বছর ধরে কালী পুজো হয়ে আসছে।

On the third day of her visit to Paschimanchal, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today addressed a public meeting at Shunukpahari ground in Bankura.

The Bengal Chief Minister inaugurated numerous developmental projects from today’s meeting, including road projects, bridges, check dams, hostel buildings, a handloom development project and several government buildings.

She also laid foundation stones for a bouquet of developmental projects and distributed various government benefits.

Here’s what the Chief Minister said:

No match for Trinamool in development:

  • People do not have to go to Kolkata for administrative work anymore. The Secretariat comes to districts now
  • We have done away with khajna (tax) on agricultural land. We are always with our farmers
  • Bengal produces 80 lakh eggs annually. We will become self-sufficient in egg production
  • We will help self-help groups to set up poultries to increase production
  • We give stipend to 82,000 folk artistes. One lakh more artistes will be brought under Lok Prasar Prakalpa before Durga Pujo
  • Healthcare is free in Bengal. We have started ‘Swasthya Sathi’ health insurance scheme
  • We have distributed 35 lakh cycles under Sabuj Sathi. 35 lakh more will be distributed this year

  • Industrial investments worth Rs 11,000 crore have been made in Bankura district
  • We have set up a university in Bankura. A multi super speciality hospital is coming up at Barjora
  • We are developing the tourism infrastructure in Bankura, from Mukutmanipur to terracotta temples of Bishnupur

পাঁচ বছরে যা কাজ করেছি কেউ তা পারবে না: মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

পশ্চিমাঞ্চল সফরের তৃতীয় দিনে আজ বাঁকুড়ার শুনুকপাহাড়ী মাঠে একটি জনসভা করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

আজকের জনসভা থেকে একগুচ্ছ প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। এর মধ্যে রয়েছে সড়ক প্রকল্প, ব্রিজ, চেক ড্যাম, হোস্টেল, হ্যান্ডলুম ডেভেলপমেন্ট প্রজেক্ট ইত্যাদি।

আজ আইটিআই, বাস টার্মিনাস, সড়ক প্রকল্প, ইকো-ট্যুরিজম প্রকল্প, কৃষি প্রকল্প, সরকারী বাসভবন সহ বেশ কিছু প্রকল্পের শিলান্যাসও করেন তিনি।

পাশাপাশি বেশ কিছু সরকারী পরিষেবা যেমন – কন্যাশ্রী, সবুজশ্রী, সবুজ সাথী ও শিক্ষাশ্রী, বিভিন্ন মেশিনারি জিনিসপত্র, লোন ইত্যাদি প্রদান করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশ:

উন্নয়ন:

  • সরকারী কাজের জন্য এখন আর মানুষকে কলকাতা ছুটে যেতে হয় না। এখন প্রশাসন আসে জেলার মানুষের কাছে
  • কৃষিজমির খাজনা আমরা মুকুব করে দিয়েছি। আমরা কৃষকদের পাশে আছি
  • বাংলায় বছরে ৮০ লক্ষ ডিম উৎপাদন হয়। ডিম উৎপাদনে বাংলা স্বয়ং-সম্পূর্ণ হবে
  • পোল্ট্রি তৈরী করতে ও ডিম উৎপাদন বৃদ্ধিতে আমরা স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠীগুলিকে সাহায্য করব
  • ৮২ হাজার লোক শিল্পীকে লোকপ্রসার প্রকল্পের আওতায় আনা হয়েছে। দুর্গা পুজোর আগে আরও ১ লক্ষ শিল্পীর নাম নথিভুক্ত হবে
  • বাংলায় বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা পরিষেবা পাওয়া যায়। আমরা ‘স্বাস্থ্য সাথী’ প্রকল্প চালু করেছি
  • সবুজ সাথী প্রকল্পে ৩৫ লক্ষ সাইকেল দিয়েছি। এই বছর আরও ৩৫ লক্ষ সাইকেল দেওয়া হবে
  • আমরা স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ মেরিট স্কলারশিপ চালু করেছি এবং এর জন্য ২০০ কোটি টাকা বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে
  • সবুজশ্রী থেকে সমব্যাথী – জন্ম থেকে মৃত্যু পর্যন্ত আমাদের প্রকল্প আছে
  • নোট বাতিলের ফলে যারা চাকরি হারিয়েছেন তাদের জন্য আমরা সমর্থন প্রকল্প চালু করেছি

বাঁকুড়ার উন্নয়ন:

  • কথা নয়, আমরা কাজে বিশ্বাসী। আজ প্রায় ১০ হাজার মানুষকে আমরা বিভিন্ন সরকারী পরিষেবা প্রদান করেছি
  • গতকাল বাঁকুড়ায় ৩ ঘণ্টা প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক করেছি। বিভিন্ন প্রকল্পের কাজ কতটা এগিয়েছে তাঁর খোঁজখবর নিয়েছি
  • বাঁকুড়া, পুরুলিয়ার জন্য কেন ওরা কোন পানীয় জল সরবরাহ প্রকল্প চালু করেনি?
  • ২০১১ সাল পর্যন্ত বাঁকুড়ার ৩% লোক জল পেত। এখন ৬৫% লোক পানীয় জল পান
  • আমরা আরও একটি নতুন জল সরবরাহ প্রকল্প চালু করব, আগামী আগস্ট মাসের মধ্যে বাঁকুড়ার আরও ৮টি ব্লক জল পাবে
  • বাঁকুড়ায় ১১ হাজার কোটি টাকা শিল্প লগ্নি হয়েছে
  • বাঁকুড়ায় আমরা একটি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় তৈরী করেছি। বড়জোড়ায় একটি মাল্টি সুপার স্পেশালিটি হাসপাতাল তৈরী হচ্ছে
  • মুকুটমণিপুর থেকে বিষ্ণুপুরের টেরাকোটার মন্দির – বাঁকুড়ার পর্যটন পরিকাঠামোর ওপর গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়েছে
  • সেচের জন্য ৫০০ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে একটি চেক ড্যাম প্রকল্পের কাজ শুরু হয়েছে
  • লোয়ার দামোদর অঞ্চলে সেচের জন্য এম্ব্যাঙ্কমেন্ট তৈরী করা হবে। ৩০০০ হাজার কোটি টাকার প্রকল্প শুরু হয়েছে
  • কেন্দু পাতা সংগ্রহকারীদের জন্য আমরা পেনশন প্রকল্প চালু করেছি
  • হাতিরা যাতে লোকালয়ে না ঢুকে আসে তার জন্য আমরা স্থানীয় ছেলেমেয়েদের প্রশিক্ষণ দেব

সিপিএম:

  • বাম সরকার আমাদের ওপর বিপুল ঋণের বোঝা চাপিয়ে দিয়ে গেছে। ঋণ শোধ করছি করতে বছরে ৪০ হাজার কোটি টাকা কেটে নিয়ে যায়
  • কৃষকদের আধিকারের জন্য আমি ২৬ দিন অনশন করেছিলাম। ওরা (বিরোধীরা) করে দেখাতে পারবে?
  • সিপিএমের কোলে বিজেপি দোলে
  • কেউ যদি ভাঙচুর করে তার বিরুদ্ধে ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে। আমরা এই বিষয়ে আইন এনেছি
  • ওরা যখন ক্ষমতায় ছিল, একের পর এক কারখানা বন্ধ করে দিয়েছিলো, কৃষিজমি কেড়ে নিয়েছিল। এখন বড় বড় কথা।

The state Urban Development and Municipal Affairs department have set up Mukutmanipur Development Board for comprehensive development of the area, particularly tourism.

The area under the jurisdiction of the newly formed Mukutmanipur Development Authority ( MDA) is 87.50 km. This includes 10 mouzas of Hirabandh block, 19 mouzas of Khatra block and 27 mouzas of Ranibandh block.

The main purpose of MDA would be to develop tourism in vast areas surrounding Mukutmanipur. The planning area covers the Mukutmanipur dam, a well-known tourist spot with great scenic beauty, Pareshnath temple, Musafirana, a hillock beside the dam and Banpukhuria deer park.

In addition to this, vast areas of Jangalmahal like Jhilmil Sutan and Talberia which are situated close to MDA will be developed as tourist spots. The areas have rich cultural heritage and there are artisans who can manufacture craft items from bamboo, babui grass etc.

Attempts would be made to showcase the products made by local artisans.

 

মুকুটমণিপুর উন্নয়ন পর্ষদ গঠন করলো রাজ্য সরকার

মুকুটমণিপুরের সার্বিক উন্নয়ন পর্যটনের বিকাশের লক্ষ্যে গঠিত হল মুকুটমণিপুর উন্নয়ন পর্ষদ। রাজ্য পুর ও নগরোন্নয়ন দপ্তর গঠন করলো এই পর্ষদ।

মুকুটমণিপুর উন্নয়ন পর্ষদের অধীনে প্রায় ৮৭.৫ কিঃ মিঃ অঞ্চল থাকবে। এর মধ্যে আছে হীরাবাঁধ ব্লকের ১০টি মৌজা, খাতরা ব্লকের ১৯টি মৌজা ও রানীবাঁধ ব্লকের ২৭টি মৌজা।

সার্বিক উন্নয়ন লক্ষ্য হলেও এই পর্ষদের পাখির চোখ হবে মুকুটমণিপুর ও তার পার্শ্ববর্তী অঞ্চল জুড়ে পর্যটনের বিকাশ। মুকুটমণিপুর বাঁধ, পরেশনাথ মন্দির, মুসাফিরানা, বনপুখুরিয়ার ডিয়ার পার্ক এই অঞ্চলের বেশ কিছু আকর্ষণ। এর সঙ্গে জঙ্গলমহলের ঝিলমিল সুতান, তালবেড়িয়া অঞ্চলকে পর্যটন কেন্দ্র হিসেবে গড়ে তোলা হবে।

এই অঞ্চলের এক সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্য আছে। এখানে অনেক হস্তশিল্পী আছেন যারা বাঁশ ও বাবুই ঘাস দিয়ে নানা সামগ্রী তৈরী করেন। এই শিল্পীদেরও সাহায্য করবে এই পর্ষদ।

The state government is going to set up a Biswa Bangla outlet at Kunming Changshui International Airport in China this July. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard was signed recently in the state administrative headquarters at Nabanna.

A Chinese delegation had attended the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) held in January and expressed its willingness to invest in Bengal. After BGBS, a Chinese had come to the city and held talks with businessmen and senior officials of the Industry department. Senior state government officials felt that opening of the stall would start a new chapter and would showcase some of the typical products from Bengal.

It may be recalled that after coming to power in 2011, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took special measures to revive the nearly-forgotten products like Muslim and sital pati along with utensils made of bell-metal. The mask industry of Purulia and South Dinajpur also witnessed a revival. The artisans were looked after. The weavers who produced Muslins for generations were not only taken care of but also given elaborate training by reputed fashion designers.

Now, along with Muslin sarees, kurtas, pyjamas, tops for women, pillow covers and bed linens have become immensely popular.

 

বিদেশের মাটিতে এই প্রথম বিশ্ববাংলা বিপণি

এই প্রথম দেশের বাইরে চালু হতে চলেছে বিশ্ববাংলা স্টল। এবার বিশ্ববাংলা স্টল জায়গা পাচ্ছে কমিউনিস্ট চিনে।ইতিমধ্যে রাজ্য সরকারের সঙ্গে চিনের একটি মউ চুক্তি স্বাক্ষরও হয়েছে।

আগামী জুলাই মাসের মধ্যেই চিনের মাটিতে বিশ্ববাংলার স্টল তৈরির কাজ শেষ হবে।  চিনের কানমিং চাংশুই আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দরে তৈরি হচ্ছে বিশ্ববাংলা স্টল।

পুরুলিয়ার মুখোশ কোচবিহারে শীতলপাটি ,ডোকরা, বাংলার মসলিন শাড়ি, কাঁসার বাসন থেকে বর্ধমানের মিহিদানা, সীতাভোগ এবার জায়গা পাবে সুদূর চিনে।  মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বিশ্ববাংলা ব্র্যান্ড এবার সত্যিই পৌঁছচ্ছে বিশ্বের দরবারে।  বাংলার শিল্প সংস্কৃতি থেকে খাদ্য সম্ভার এবার জায়গা করে নেবে কমিউনিস্ট চিনে।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর উদ্দেশ্য ছিল বিশ্ববাংলা ব্র্যান্ডের মধ্যে দিয়ে রাজ্যের হারিয়ে যেতে বসা হস্তশিল্পকে পুনরুজ্জীবিত করা ও এই পণ্যগুলোকে বিশ্বের দরবারে তুলে ধরা। পাশাপাশি এই শিল্পের সঙ্গে জড়িত শিল্পীরাও যাতে উপকৃত হয় সেইদিকেও নজর রাখা।

কলকাতায় দমদম  বিমানবন্দর ,ঢাকুরিয়া ,দক্ষিণাপণে এবং বাগডোগরায় রয়েছে বিশ্ববাংলা স্টল।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee declared Jhargram the 22nd district of the State today.

On November 28, 2016, the Calcutta High Court had given the necessary permissions to set up three new districts — Kalimpong, Jhargram and Asansol. On the same day, the Chief Minister had announced that the new districts will be “officially” created before Poila Boishakh – the Bengali New Year – which falls on April 15.

Earlier, the Chief Minister had declared Kalimpong as the 21st district of the State, on February 14. A new district, Paschim Bardhaman, comprising the industrial zone of Bardhaman, will be declared the 23rd district of the State on April 7, 2017.

Mamata Banerjee addressed a large crowd during the inauguration ceremony today. The salient points of her speech are sas follows:

  • A long-standing demand of the people have been fulfilled today.
  • The days of violence are gone. Peace reigns in Jhargram now.
  • April 4 will be celebrated as Jhargram Dibas from now.
  • We organise sports tournaments involving the people of Jangalmahal every year.
  • 35,000 youths have been given jobs by the police.
  • 32 lakh SC/ST students receive scholarship under the Shikshashree Scheme.
  • We will set up a university in Jhargram district in the future.
  • We have set up 9 colleges, 6 multi super-speciality hospitals in Jhargram district.
  • One lakh artistes get a monthly stipend of Rs 1,000. We will register one lakh more artistes.
  • We have registered 14,000 new people under the scheme for giving pensions to widows.
  • We have started a pension scheme for kendu leaf collectors.
  • From birth to death, we have a scheme for every phase of life.
  • We have given recognition to the Ol Chiki language.
  • We have distributed 35 lakh bicycles under the Sabuj Sathi Scheme. This year 35 lakh more bicycles will be distributed.
  • We have made healthcare free at Government hospitals. ICDS and ASHA workers have been brought under the coverage of health insurance.
  • We started the scheme of providing rice at Rs 2 per kg from Jangalmahal. Eight crore people are now covered under the Khadya Sathi Scheme.
  • We have done away with khajna (tax) on agricultural land.
  • I again urge the Centre to waive farmers’ loans.
  • We have given land pattas to 3 lakh people.
  • People of Jangalmahal are famous across the country for the chhau dance and for archery.
  • We will set up an archery academy in Jhargram.
  • We have taken up a project worth Rs 500 crore to build check dams.
  • The major share of our revenue is taken away by the Centre to pay off the debt incurred by the Left Front Government.
  • Our youths and students are the future of our country.
  • We will make Bengal the best in the world.

 

 

ভবিষ্যতে ঝাড়গ্রামে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় তৈরী হবেঃ মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের প্রিয় জায়গা জঙ্গলমহল। সেই জঙ্গলমহলের ৮টি ব্লককে নিয়ে পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর ভেঙে গঠিত হচ্ছে ৩০২৪.৩৮ বর্গ কিলোমিটার আয়তনের পৃথক ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলা। ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলায় রয়েছে ৪ টি বিধানসভাকেন্দ্র- ঝাড়গ্রাম, গোপীবল্লভপুর, নয়াগ্রাম ও বিনপুর।

আজ, মঙ্গলবার দুপুরে ঝাড়গ্রাম রাজ কলেজের মাঠে প্রশাসনিক সভার মঞ্চ থেকে ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলার সূচনা করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

জঙ্গলমহলের আদিবাসী-মূলবাসীদের দীর্ঘদিনের দাবি ছিল, অনুন্নত এলাকার সুংসহত উন্নয়নের জন্য পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলার উত্তর-পশ্চিম অংশকে নিয়ে আলাদা জেলা করা হোক। সেই দাবিকেই মান্যতা দিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

এর আগে ফেব্রুয়ারী মাসে কালিম্পঙকে রাজ্যের ২১তম জেলা হিসেবে ঘোষণা করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। আগামী ৭ই এপ্রিল বর্ধমান শিল্পাঞ্চল এলাকাকে গঠিত নিয়ে ‘বর্ধমান পশ্চিম’ জেলার সূচনা করবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

  • ৩২ লক্ষ তপশিলি ভাই বোনেরা শিক্ষাশ্রীর স্কলারশিপের টাকা পায়
  • ভবিষ্যতে ঝাড়গ্রামের জন্য আমরা নতুন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় তৈরী করব

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday demanded a probe into the alleged tampering of EVMs in the recently-concluded assembly elections.

“You can’t win elections every time by hijacking EVMs. I didn’t contest but had I done so, I would have counted from one to ten. Those who had contested the elections, should have demanded a probe,” she said.

“I think there should be a probe. Even the ones that were used in the polls, they should be subjected to a sample survey,” Mamata Banerjee said at a public rally in Kharagpur.

The Trinamool Congress Chairperson also slammed the central government’s decision to lower the interest rate in small savings scheme by 0.1 percent. “This is why chit funds flourish. There are no chit funds in our regime. One day CPI-M, Congress and BJP will have to answer for them,” she said.

 

ইভিএম কারচুপির অভিযোগের তদন্ত হোক, চান মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

সোমবার খড়্গপুরের এক জনসভায় ইভিএম কারচুপির অভিযোগের তদন্ত চাইলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

“ইভিএম কারচুপি করে সব সময় জিততে পারবে না বিজেপি। আমি (উত্তরপ্রদেশ বিধানসভা নির্বাচনে) লড়িনি। যারা লড়েছে তাদের আগেই তদন্ত চাওয়া উচিত ছিল,” তিনি বলেন।

“আমার মনে হয় তদন্ত হয় উচিত,” বলেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

এদিন, স্বল্প সঞ্চয় প্রকল্পর সুদের হার কমিয়ে দেওয়ায় কেন্দ্রকে আক্রমণ করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। তিনি বলেন এর ফলে চিট ফান্ড বাড়বে। “আমাদের সময় কোনও চিট ফান্ড তৈরী হয়নি। সিপিএম, বিজেপি, কংগ্রেসকে মানুষের কাছে জবাব দিতে হবে,” বলেন তিনি।

Following the anxiety of the public over the issue of “artificial eggs” having plastic-like quality, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has encouraged people of Bengal to consume eggs with any fear.

“I had a discussion with the Bengal poultry foundation. I have given them the responsibility to label eggs produced in Bengal. Bengal produces 80 lakh eggs. There is no problem with eggs produced in Bengal. Just check that they should be Bengal eggs,” she said.

The CM said action will be taken if something is discovered. “We will become self-sufficient in egg production. We will set up poultries for ducks like we have for hens,” she said.

 

বাংলার ডিম নির্ভয়ে খান: মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

প্লাস্টিক ডিম নিয়ে রাজ্য তোলপাড়। এই অবস্থায় অভয়বাণী শোনালেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। সোমবার খড়্গপুরের জনসভায় তাঁর ঘোষণা, ‘‘বাংলার ডিমে কোনও সমস্যা নেই। বাংলার ডিম নির্ভয়ে খান।’’

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, “আদৌ প্লাস্টিক ডিম হয় কি না, কোনটাকে প্লাস্টিক বলা হচ্ছে, এটা আমাকে একটু দেখে নিতে হবে। বাইরে থেকে যে ডিম আসছে তা একটু দেখে নিতে হবে। সব দিক দেখে নিতে আরও তিন-চার দিন সময় লাগবে।”

রাজ্যের ডিম যাতে সহজে চেনা যায়, সে জন্য দোকানিদের ‘বাংলার ডিম’ লেখা সাইনবোর্ড ঝোলানোরও পরামর্শ দেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

ম্যাগি-বিতর্ক টেনে তিনি বলেন, “যখন ম্যাগি নিয়ে খুব অভিযোগ উঠল, সবাই ভয়ে ম্যাগি খাওয়া বন্ধ করে দিল। পরে জানলাম, রাজ্যে এ নিয়ে কোনও অভিযোগ হয়নি।“ তবে প্লাস্টিক ডিমের বিষয়ে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী যথেষ্ট সন্দিহান। তাঁর কথায়, “আমি জানতে চেয়েছিলাম, এটা কে রটালো? আমার কাছে যতদূর খবর, তাঁরা না কি বাংলার নয়।”
