Tantuja, the leading brand of Bengal, under the State MSME department, has now stepped in to promote linen products. The new products made of linen were inaugurated on Tuesday by the Bengal MSME Minister.

The MSME department has started training 180 Tant weavers in Fulia on making linen fabric. The MSME department has been supplying the weavers with special machines to weave linen fabric.

Tantuja will promote the products through its 10 outlets. Prices have been fixed keeping in mind the middle income groups.

Tantuja has recently received the prestigious Images Retail Award in Mumbai. Tantuja’s products, especially sarees, are now available on most popular e-commerce platform. Once ailing due to financial crisis, the organisation under West Bengal State Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society made a record operational profit in 2015-16 at Rs 3.5 crore against a turnover of Rs 123.19 crore.

 

লাভের মুখ দেখার পর এবার লিনেন লঞ্চ করল তন্তুজ

ডিজাইনার দের সঙ্গে গাঁটছড়া বেঁধে এবার লিনেনের ডিজাইনার রেঞ্জ তাদের বাজারে আনল তন্তুজ। মঙ্গলবার এই নতুন ডিজাইন করা পোশাকের উদ্বোধন করেন ক্ষুদ্র ও মাঝারি শিল্পমন্ত্রী।

ফুলিয়ার ৩টি সোসাইটির মত ১৮০ জন তাঁতশিল্পীদের দিয়ে প্রথম ধাপের লিনেনের ফ্যাব্রিক তৈরির প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া শুরু করেছে। লিনেনের মতো মজবুত ফাইবারকে নরম করে ডিজাইনার পোশাক তৈরির উপযোগী করে তুলতে বিশেষ যন্ত্রও আনানো হয়েছে। ১ কোটি ৩ লক্ষ টাকা বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে এই প্রকল্পের জন্য।

কলকাতায় যে ১০টি শো রুম আছে সেখানেও লিনেনের ডিজাইন রাখা হবে। মধ্যবিত্ত লোকেদেড় কথা মাথায় রেখেই মুল্য নির্ধারন করা হয়েছে।

সম্প্রতি মুম্বাইতে পুরস্কার পেয়েছে তন্তুজ। তন্তুজর পণ্যদ্রব্য বিশেষত শাড়ি এখন সবচেয়ে বেশি জনপ্রিয়, এগুলি সব ই-কমার্স প্ল্যাটফর্মে পাওয়া যায়।

একদা আর্থিক সংকটে থাকা এই হ্যান্ডলুম তাঁতি কো-অপারেটিভ সোসাইটি এখন রাজ্য সরকারের সহযোগিতায় লাভের মুখ দেখছে। ২০১৫-১৬ সালে তাদের লাভের পরিমাণ ৩.৫ কোটি।

The Bengal Government has decided to set up 5,000 more toilets with an aim to keep the forthcoming Ganga Sagar Mela “clean and green”.

More than 12 lakh people from different parts of the country visit the fair every year to a take a holy dip in the confluence of river Ganga in Sagar Island. This year, the turnout is expected to be more as there is no such Mela in other parts of the country. Around 15 lakh people are expected to visit Ganga Sagar in January 2017.

It had always been the target of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to keep the Sagar Island clean and green.

Subrata Mukherjee, the state Public Health Engineering minister, visited the venue on Sagar Island on Monday and held meeting with Sundarbans Development minister. Senior officials of the district including the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police were also present in the meeting.

In a bid to ensure uninterrupted power supply, the state Power Minister Sobhandeb Chatterjee also went to the spot on Tuesday. Ganga Sagar Mela this time will be held on January 13, 14 and 15, but the people will start pouring into Sagar Island from January 8 onward.

The Bengal PHE Minister said that it had been the effort every year, to keep the Mela clean. But this time the Government will not leave any stone unturned to ensure that Ganga Sagar Mela turns out to be the cleanest of all, he said.

He said that there will be a total 15,000 sanitary toilets with proper markings. There will be bright coloured flags fitted on the top of the toilets so that volunteers can make people understand its location and people can also reach the place by tracking the flag.

It may be mentioned that 10,000 toilets were set up in the Mela held in January 2016. With the increase in 5,000 toilets, the task of keeping the Mela clean will be much easier.

Around 6,000 civil volunteers, all local youths, will be deployed in the mela only to keep the area clean. In case anyone dumps it outside the dustbin, then the volunteers will pick it up and throw it in the right place. This time, there will be people to collect waste products from the shops in the Mela to dump it in a particular place.

Sufficient quantity of safe drinking water will be supplied to pilgrims on the Mela days. Besides taking steps to keep the mela premises clean, steps have been taken to increase the number of vessels by around 20 to ensure that people do not face trouble in reaching the island by crossing Muri Ganga River.

There will be a total 90 vessels to ferry the pilgrims. At the same time, the state Irrigation department is carrying out the dredging work at five different locations on Muri Ganga to ensure easy movement of the vessels.

 

গঙ্গাসাগর মেলাকে পরিচ্ছন্ন রাখতে আরও ৫০০০ শৌচালয় গড়বে রাজ্য সরকার

গঙ্গাসাগর মেলা প্রাঙ্গণকে পরিচ্ছন্ন ও সবুজ রাখতে আরও ৫০০০ সৌচালয় গড়বার পরিকল্পনা নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার। সাগর দ্বীপের সংলগ্ন গঙ্গায় স্নান করে পবিত্র হতে প্রতি বছর দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে প্রায় ১২ লক্ষ মানুষ এই মেলায় আসেন। আশা করা হচ্ছে এই বছর এখানে জনসমাগম আরও বাড়বে কারন এই বছর আর দেশের অন্য কোথাও এই মেলা হচ্ছে না।

রাজ্য জন স্বাস্থ্য কারিগরি মন্ত্রী সুব্রত মুখোপাধ্যায় গত সোমবার ওই অঞ্চলে যান ও সুন্দরবন উন্নয়ন মন্ত্রী, উচ্চ আধিকারিক, পুলিশ সুপারিন্টেন্ডেন্ট ও জেলা শাসকের সঙ্গে বৈঠক করেন।

বিদ্যুৎ ব্যাবস্থা যাতে স্বাভাবিক থাকে, সেই জন্য বিদ্যুৎমন্ত্রী শোভনদেব চট্টোপাধ্যায় মঙ্গলবার স্থানটি পরিদর্শনে যান। এই বছর মেলা হবে ১৩ থেকে ১৫ই জানুয়ারী, যদিও জনসমাগম ৮ তারিখ থেকেই শুরু হয়ে যাবে।

জনস্বাস্থ্য কারিগরি মন্ত্রী বলেন এবছর নতুন ৫০০০ শৌচালয় তৈরি হওয়ায় মোট শৌচালয়ের সংখ্যা হল ১৫,০০০।  এগুলির ওপর নিশান লাগানো থাকবে, যাতে সহজেই মানুষ তা খুঁজে পায়।

এ বছর মেলা প্রাঙ্গণকে পরিছছন্ন রাখতে ও উপস্থিত মানুষদের সাহায্য করতে মোট ৬০০০ স্বেচ্ছাসেবক থাকবে। যথেষ্ট পরিমানে পরিশোধিত পানীয় জলের যোগানের পাশাপাশি যাত্রীদের সুরক্ষাবাবদ ২০টি অতিরিক্ত জলযান ওখানে উপস্থিত থাকবে যাতে ওখানে কোনও দুর্ঘটনা না ঘটে। সব মিলিয়ে মোট ৯০টি জলযান উপস্থিত থাকবে যাত্রীদের পারাপারের জন্য।

Stating that the Centre is suppressing the state governments under financial burden, the state Transport Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday once again slammed the draft policy of the Ministry of Railways that recommends investment by the state governments for projects related to suburban rail service.

The Minister said that he would take up the matter with the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee once she returns from Delhi and sent a reply to the Ministry as they have asked the state governments to comment on the guidelines in the draft policy.

Meanwhile, in connection with better transport facility for people the Transport minister also announced that 50 buses will be plying to Takht Sri Patna Sahib to take pilgrims to the place free of cost on December 31 and January 1. The special arrangement has been made to take the pilgrims to the place on the eve of 350th birth anniversary of Guru Govind Singh. The buses will be plying from Kolkata, Karunamoyee and Dankuni.

The Minister further said that two launches will be operating from Halisahar to Dankuni via Barrackpore and Bansberia to ensure better transport facility to people of the area as they are facing inconvenience as Iswar Gupta Setu was closed to carry out repairing.

 

যাত্রী পরিবহনের দায় রাজ্য সরকারের ওপর চাপানোর চেষ্টা করছে রেল মন্ত্রকঃ শুভেন্দু অধিকারী

শহর-শহরতলিতে নতুন রেল-প্রকল্পের দায় থেকে মুক্ত হতে চায় রেল। সম্প্রতি চিঠি নিয়ে রাজ্য সরকারকে বিষয়টি জানিয়ে মতামতও জানতে চাওয়া হয়েছে। মঙ্গলবার সেই প্রসঙ্গেই কড়া প্রতিক্রিয়া দিলেন রাজ্যের পরিবহণমন্ত্রী শুভেন্দু অধিকারী।

তিনিবলেন, “রেল রাজ্য থেকে হাজার হাজার কোটি টাকা আদায় করে। রেল এখন তার দায় এড়িয়ে যেতে চাইছে। যাত্রী পরিবহণের বিষয়টা আমাদের ঘাড়ে চাপাতে চাইছে। আমরা মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে আলোচনা করে রেলকে উত্তর দেব। বিষয়টা নেতিবাচক হিসাবেই দেখছি।“

মন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, “ফ্রেইট থেকে হলদিয়াতেই প্রতিদিন দেড় কোটি টাকা পায় রেল। মাসিক হিসাবে ৪৫ কোটি । অথচ এখন যাত্রী পরিবহণের দায় রাজ্যের ঘাড়ে চাপানোর চেষ্টা করছে”।

সম্প্রতি রেলের তরফে সমস্ত রাজ্য সরকারকে চিঠি দিয়ে জানানো হয়েছে, ভবিষ্যতে যে কোনও সাবার্বান প্রকল্পের দায় রাজ্য সরকারকে নিতে হবে। জমি অধিগ্রহন থেকে প্রকল্পের খরচ কোনও ক্ষেত্রে রেল সাহায্য করবে না।

অন্যদিকে পরিবহণমন্ত্রী ঘোষণা করেন, ডিসেম্বরের ৩১তারিখ ও জানুয়ারী মাসের ১তারিক তীর্থ যাত্রীদের পাটনা সাহিবে সম্পূর্ণ বিনামুল্যে নিয়ে যাবে পরিবহণ দপ্তরের ৫০টি বাস। এই স্পেশ্যাল বন্দোবস্ত করা হয়েছে গুরু গোবিন্দ সিংহর ৩৫০তম জন্মবার্ষিকীতে শিখ সম্প্রদায়ের তীর্থযাত্রীদের সুবিধার্থে। এই বাসগুলি ছাড়বে কলকাতা, করুণাময়ী ও ডানকুনি থেকে।

তিনি আরও ঘোষণা করেন, মেরামতির কাজের জন্য ঈশ্বর গুপ্ত সেতু বন্ধ আছে। তাই দুটি লঞ্চ হালিশহর থেকে বারাকপুর ও বাঁশবেরিয়া হয়ে ডানকুনি যাতায়াত করবে।

In a move to make vegetable, fruit and flower growers in Bengal self-reliant, the Mamata Banerjee-led State Government is enabling the export of these agricultural and horticultural products to European countries.

It has been found that vegetables and fruits like beans, pumpkins, bananas and papayas, especially from the district of Nadia, are quite popular among Bengalis and Asians in European countries. Hence, vegetables produced in the district are being exported to England, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, France and Switzerland.

This is the first time when vegetables are being exported from the State with the assistance of the State Government. The second consignment from Nadia district was recently exported; the first batch was sent on December 20.

Gerbera flowers (a type of daisy) are also being cultivated for exporting.

The State Government has taken certain steps to make the products suitable for export.

Irrigation and application of fertilisers are being done through drip irrigation system to control production and maintain quality.

To enable the perishable products to stay fresh for export, storage facilities like hi-tech poly houses have been constructed. Seventy-four hi-tech and 27 low-cost polyhouses have been set up across Nadia.

Ever since coming to power in 2011, the Trinamool Congress Government has been proactively promoting agricultural activities in the State.

 

কৃষকদের স্বনির্ভর করতে উদ্যোগী রাজ্য সরকার

শাক, সবজি, ফুল ও ফল চাষিদের স্বনির্ভর করতে এবং তাদের উৎপাদিত শাক, সবজি, ফুল ও ফল সরাসরি ইউরোপের দেশগুলিতে রপ্তানি করার উদ্যোগ নিল মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় পরিচালিত রাজ্য সরকার।

লক্ষ্য করা গেছে বাংলা তথা নদিয়া জেলায় উৎপন্ন ফল ও আনাজ শুধু বাঙালি নয়, সারা ইউরোপে সব এশিয়াবাসির কাছে খুবই পছন্দের। তাই, নদিয়া জেলায় উৎপন্ন হওয়া শাক, সবজি ও ফল এখন থেকে পাড়ি দিচ্ছে ইংল্যান্ড, ইতালি, জার্মানি, নেদারল্যান্ডস, ফ্রান্স ও সুইজারল্যান্ডে।

এই প্রথম রাজ্য সরকারের তত্ত্বাবধানে রাজ্য থেকে সরাসরি শাক, সবজি ও ফল সরাসরি রফতানি করা হচ্ছে। ডিসেম্বরের ২০ তারিখ প্রথম দফার রফতানি করা হয় ও তার পর দ্বিতীয় দফার রফতানিও করা হয়েছে।

বিভিন্ন ধরনের ডেইসি ফুলও চাষ করা হচ্ছে রফতানির জন্য। এর জন্য বেশ কিছু পদক্ষেপও নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার।

উপযুক্ত সারের ব্যাবহার ও ড্রিপ সেচ ব্যাবহারের মাধ্যমে চাষ করা হচ্ছে যাতে উৎপাদনের পরিমান ও গুনমান দুটি’ই বজায় থাকে।

সহজে পচনশীল কৃষিজ দ্রব্যগুলোকে তাজা রাখার জন্য অত্যাধুনিক পলিহাউস তৈরি করা হয়েছে। নদিয়ায় মোট ৭৪টি অত্যাধুনিক ও ২৭টি কম খরচের পলিহাউস তৈরি করা হয়েছে।

২০১১ সালে ক্ষমতায় আসার পর তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস সারা রাজ্যে কৃষিকাজের উন্নতিসাধনে বিশেষ উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে।

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, since coming to power, has strived hard to bring about a significant change in Bengal; and she has succeeded to a large extent, though efforts and new ideas are ever-flowing.

Among the many innovative schemes introduced by the Trinamool Congress-led State Government, two schemes have tried to bring about a major change to the lives of a group of people who have hitherto been mostly neglected – prostitutes.

Through ‘Swabalamban Special’ and ‘Muktir Aalo’, the Government has tried to bring back into the mainstream prostitutes and girls who had been trafficked and rescued, but have not been accepted back into society (many of whom live in Government-maintained homes).

A hundred women, many of whom are illiterate, have been trained in three things – acting, block printing and spice-making. After undergoing a four-month training, divided into two sets of workshops, conducted by the Department of Women & Child Development and Social Welfare, these women received their certificates from the concerned Minister, Dr Sashi Panja.

It is hoped that this training would help these women to reconstruct their lives in a meaningful manner. These courses have proved to be a boon for many women.

 

রাজ্য সরকারের ‘স্ববলম্বন স্পেশ্যাল’ ও ‘মুক্তির আলো’ প্রকল্পে ঘুরে দাঁড়াচ্ছে অবহেলিতা নারীরা

ক্ষমতায় আসার পর থেকেই মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বাংলায় এক যুগান্তকারী পরিবর্তন আনায় সচেষ্ট হয়েছেন। নিত্যনতুন চিন্তা ভাবনা ও কর্ম প্রয়াসের মাধ্যমে তিনি অনেক ক্ষেত্রে সফলও হয়েছেন।

তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস পরিচালিত সরকারের প্রচুর অভূতপূর্ব প্রকল্পের মধ্যে দু’টি প্রকল্প সমাজের একটি অবহেলিত অংশকে আশার আলো দেখাতে খুব সাহায্য করছে।

বিভিন্ন সরকারি হোমে থাকা পাচার হওয়া থেকে উদ্ধার হওয়া মেয়েদের সমাজের মুলস্রোতে ফিরিয়ে আনতে সরকারের দুটি প্রকল্প স্ববলম্বন স্পেশ্যাল ও মুক্তির আলো।

একশো জন মহিলাকে যাদের বেশিভাগই নিরক্ষর, তিনটি কাজে হাতেখড়ি দেওয়া হচ্ছে – অভিনয়, ব্লক পেন্টিং এবং মশলা তৈরি। নারী-শিশু ও সমাজ কল্যান বিষয়ক দপ্তরের তত্ত্বাবধানে দু’টি কর্মশালায় ভাগ করে চার মাসের প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়ার পর তাদের হাতে সার্টিফিকেট তুলে দেওয়া হয়।

আশা করা যায়, এই প্রশিক্ষণের মাধ্যমে এই সকল মহিলারা আবার তাদের জীবন নতুনভাবে শুরু করতে পারবে। ইতিমধ্যেই এই ধরনের প্রশিক্ষণের মাধ্যমে অনেক মহিলাকে উপকৃত হয়েছেন।

The Bengal  government has decided to construct a Biswa Bangla Mall on EM Bypass exhibiting wide varieties of handicrafts, Taant Sarees, and other products made by the artisans under various micro and small scale industries.

It was Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee whose effort has brought an international acclaim to Biswa Bangla which has become a brand already.  Great emphasis has been given on MSME sector so that artists and the people involved in various micro and small scale industries can get a platform to promote their goods.

Biswa Bangla, the Chief Minister’s brainchild has become a brand, not only in the national arena but also abroad. Various handicrafts prepared by Bengal artisans have created a market in various countries.

Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Textiles has promoted Biswa Bangla Marketing Corporation for the improvement of quality of life of Bengal’s handloom weavers, craftsmen. Biswa Bangla has successfully revived the Bengal’s traditional arts and craft and promoted them at a global level. It may be mentioned that for the first time, Bengal government is preparing an export policy in the MSME sector.

The Biswa Bangla mall would have world class facilities and infrastructure. The architectural engineers will make its design.

 

কলকাতার ই এম বাইপাসে তৈরি হচ্ছে বিশ্ব বাংলা মল

ই এম বাইপাসে একটি বিশ্ব বাংলা মল তৈরির সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার। বিভিন্ন হস্তশিল্প, তাঁতের শাড়ি সহ বিভিন্ন শিল্পীর হাতের তৈরি বিভিন্ন জিনিস প্রদর্শিত হবে এখানে।ক্ষুদ্র ও অতিক্ষুদ্র শিল্পীরা যাতে তাদের জিনিসপত্র বিক্রি করতে পারেন সেইজন্যই এই প্ল্যাটফর্মের ব্যবস্থা।

কলকাতা বন্দর, পার্ক স্ট্রিট-সহ শহরের একাধিক এলাকায় বিশ্ববাংলা স্টল আছে। স্টল রয়েছে নয়াদিল্লিতেও। এ রাজ্যের শিল্পী ও কারিগরদের প্রস্তুত করা দ্রব্য দেশবিদেশের মানুষের কাছে সুনাম কুড়িয়েছে। বাংলার তৈরি নানা জিনিসের বিক্রিও বাড়ছে। সব দিকে লক্ষ্য রেখেই এক ছাতার তলায় সব রকমের দ্রব্য রাখতে মল তৈরির ভাবনা।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর স্বপ্নের বিশ্ব বাংলা এখন শুধু জাতীয় ক্ষেত্রে নয় আন্তর্জাতিক ক্ষেত্রেও যথেষ্ট জনপ্রিয় ব্র্যান্ড । বাংলার কারিগরদের দ্বারা প্রস্তুত বিভিন্ন হস্তশিল্পের বাজার এখন বিভিন্ন দেশে রয়েছে। ক্ষুদ্র ও অতিক্ষুদ্র শিল্পীরা, তাঁত শিল্পীদের জীবন যাত্রার মান উন্নত করতে  রাজ্য সরকারের এই অভিনব পরিকল্পনা।

আন্তর্জাতিক মানের পরিকাঠামো এবং সুযোগ সুবিধা থাকবে এই বিশ্ব বাংলা মলে। স্থপতিরা এই মলের নকশা তৈরি করবেন।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today inaugurated the Biswa Bangla Lok Sanskriti Utsav at Rabindra Sadan complex. The festival will continue till January 1, 2017.

The 2nd edition of the festival is being held at the Madhusudan Mancha complex. The festival is showcasing folk art, and holding exhibitions on folk culture and handicrafts.

Besides promoting folk music and folk dance from different parts of the State, food from different parts of Bengal is an added attraction at the festival.

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has always given priority to promoting the rich cultural heritage of the State which flow through folk culture. Recently several artistes instrumental in reviving folk music like Pata Chitra Gaan and Bhawaiya have been felicitated with Sangeet Samman.

The State has also instituted the Lok Prasar Prakalpa, a scheme wherein artistes performing folk music are provided with monthly stipends and are included in performances to promote different social and developmental schemes.

 

দ্বিতীয় বিশ্ব বাংলা লোক সংস্কৃতি উৎসবের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

আজ বিশ্ব বাংলা লোক সংস্কৃতি উৎসবের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। রবীন্দ্র সদন প্রাঙ্গণে এই উৎসবের উদ্বোধন করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

উৎসবটি হবে মধুসূদন মঞ্চে। সময় দুপুর ৩টে থেকে রাত ৮টা। এই নিয়ে দ্বিতীয় বার লোক সংস্কৃতি উৎসবের আয়োজন করল রাজ্য সরকারের তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি বিভাগ। লোকশিল্পীদের আঁকা সহ তাদের হাতের কাজ প্রদর্শিত হবে এই প্রদর্শনীতে।

রাজ্যের বিভিন্ন জায়গার লোকশিল্পীদের গান, নাচ সহ রকমারি খাবারেরও সম্ভার থাকছে এই প্রদর্শনীতে।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় সবসময় রাজ্যের সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্য লোকসংস্কৃতিকে চিরকাল অগাধিকার দিয়ে এসেছেন। সম্প্রতি বাংলা সঙ্গীত মেলায় পটচিত্র গান ও ভাওয়াইয়ার বেশ কয়েকজন শিল্পী সম্মানিত হয়েছেন।

এছাড়া লোক শিল্পীদের জন্য রাজ্য সরকার নতুন লোক প্রসার প্রকল্প চালু করেছে। এই প্রকল্পে লোকশিল্পীদের মাসিক ভাতা দেওয়া হয় এবং বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহণ করার সুযোগ দেওয়া হয়।

The Sabujshree Scheme, which is a brainchild of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, was initiated in Singur last Wednesday by State Education Minister, Partha Chatterjee by handing over saplings of mahogany and sandalwood to new mothers.

Sabujshree is an innovative scheme which connects two noble causes – protecting the environment and promoting girl children.

Under the scheme, the mother of a new-born girl child is handed over saplings for free to plant in some place where she or her family can take care of it – so the tree grows up under her care just like her girl child.

After the ceremony for Sabujshree, the Minister participated in an administrative meeting on agriculture.

At the press conference following the meeting, the Education Minister said that, after the Supreme Court had restored the land in Singur to the farmers who originally owned them, Mamata Banerjee had re-started cultivation there by planting mustard and potato seeds. Next, the Government is looking into ways to help the farmers to start planting crops for the boro season.

He also said that the Mamata Banerjee-led State Government is very keen that cultivation is re-started on the same scale as earlier. As an incentive, the State Government is giving Rs 10,000 as well as other benefits to the farmers who start cultivating their lands.

 

সিঙ্গুরে সূচনা হল সবুজশ্রী প্রকল্প

বুধবার সিঙ্গুরে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের সবুজশ্রী প্রকল্প চালু করলেন পার্থ চট্টোপাধ্যায়। এদিন সিঙ্গুরের বিডিও অফিসে একটি অনুষ্ঠানে সদ্যোজাত মায়েদের হাতে মেহগনি ও চন্দন গাছের চারা তুলে দিলেন শিক্ষামন্ত্রী পার্থ চট্টোপাধ্যায়।

সবুজশ্রী প্রকল্পের লক্ষ্য পরিবেশ রক্ষার পাশাপাশি কন্যা সন্তানদের ভবিষ্যৎ কিছুটা হলেও সুরক্ষিত করা এবং তাদের স্বনির্ভর করে তোলা।

এই প্রকল্পের আওতায় নবজাতকের নামে পরিবারকে একটি করে অর্থকরী গাছের চারা দেবে সরকার। শিশুটির নামেই গাছটিকে বড় করে তুলবে তার পরিবার। ২০-২৫ বছর পরে সেই গাছ বিক্রি করে যে-টাকা পাওয়া যাবে, সেটাই তখন সাবালক হয়ে ওঠা সন্তানের ভবিষ্যৎ গড়ে তোলার কাজে লাগবে।

অনুষ্ঠানের পর শিক্ষামন্ত্রী কৃষি সংক্রান্ত একটি প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক করেন।

বৈঠকে পর সাংবাদিকদের মন্ত্রী বলেন, সিঙ্গুরে জমি ফেরতের পর মুখ্যমন্ত্রী এখানে চাষের সূচনা করেছিলেন। এরপর এখানে সরষে ও আলু চাষ শুরু হয়েছে। এখন তাদের লক্ষ্য বোরো চাষ শুরু করা।

তিনি আরও বলেন, মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় পরিচালিত মা-মাটি-মানুষ সরকারের একান্ত ইচ্ছা কৃষকরা চাষ করুন। যারা চাষ করবেন তাদের ১০ হাজার টাকা ও অন্যান্য আনুষঙ্গিক সাহায্য দেওয়া হবে।

Amul, a brand owned by Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union is all set to invest in Bengal. The company will set up a ‘Centralised Milk Processing Plant’ at Sankrail Food Park in Howrah.

The project is worth about Rs 200 crore. Work on the plant would start in 2017 and is expected to be completed by 2018-end. The proposed plant will manufacture UHT milk, yoghurt and ghee besides normal milk.

The Kandua Food Park, at Howrah’s Sankrail, has been developed by WBIDC to cater to the needs of manufacturers and producers of food and agro products, in which dairy is an important inclusion. The Park, built on an industrial cluster concept, is an attempt to bring different agro processing units and their support facilities to a specific location where all users can benefit from shared infrastructure.

According to Food Agriculture Integrated Development Action (FAIDA) report of McKinsey, Bengal is one of the three leading states in India in the food and agro-processing sector.

 

আমুল বাংলায় বিনিয়োগ করবে ২০০ কোটি টাকা

 কাইরা ডিস্ট্রিক্ট কোঅপারেটিভ মিল্ক প্রোডিউসার্স এর কোম্পানি আমুল বাংলায় বিনিয়োগ করতে চলেছে। তারা হাওড়া জেলার সাঁকরাইলের ফুড পার্কে একটি দুগ্ধ প্রক্রিয়াকরন কেন্দ্র খুলতে চলেছে।
প্রকল্পটিতে আনুমানিক বিনিয়োগ হবে ২০০ কোটি টাকা। ২০১৭ সালে প্রকল্পের কাজ শুরু হয়ে ২০১৮ সালের শেষের দিকে এই প্রকল্পটি সম্পূর্ণ হওয়ার কথা। সাধারন দুধের পাশাপাশি ইউএইচটি দুধ, ঘী, দইও তৈরি হবে এখানে।
সাঁকরাইলের কেন্দুয়া ফুড পার্ক তৈরি করা হয়েছে খাদ্য ও কৃষিজাত পন্য তৈরি ও বিপণনের জন্য, যার মধ্যে ডেয়ারী শিল্প খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। এই পার্কটি শিল্পাঞ্চলের আদলে তৈরি করা হয়েছে।
মাকিন্সের রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী বাংলা এই মুহূর্তে দেশের মধ্যে কৃষি ও খাদ্য প্রক্রিয়াকরনে অগ্রণী রাজ্যগুলির মধ্যে একটি।

Intensifying her attack against the Narendra Modi government, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday said the Centre’s demonetisation decision was the biggest scam and it must be thoroughly investigated.

“I want to know how big a deal was stuck over this decision. How many crores worth is the deal. Demonetisation is a big big scam,” she said while addressing a public meeting at Kolaghat in East Midnapore.

“The government at the Centre has turned everyone into a thief, while the Narendra Modi government and Amit Shah’s party are the biggest thieves,” she claimed. Throwing a “challenge” at Mr Modi, Ms Banerjee said if he had the power, he should arrest her. “I will say this not once but a thousand times that you have stolen money. You do not have to touch anybody. If you have the courage then send us to jail,” she said.

Mamata Banerjee said that the Modi-Shah duo has destroyed the country. “In this country either Modi or the people can live,” said the state chief minister. Claiming that the Modi government was functioning in an unconstitutional manner and trying to impose undeclared Emergency in the country, she said: “ They are trying to weaken a state government by targeting its bureaucrats. The BJP has amassed the maximum amount of money. Why no action has been taken against the party?”

At the Kolaghat rally, directly addressing Mr Modi she said she wanted an investigation against the prime minister, his government and his party. “The cat is out of the bag. We want to know what was the cause behind demonetisation?” she asked. Launching an all-out attack, Ms Banerjee warned Mr Modi that the people of India will not forgive them.

নোট বাতিলকে একটি বড় কেলেঙ্কারি এর বিরুদ্ধে পূর্নাঙ্গ তদন্ত হওয়া দরকার বলে এদিন  আবারও প্রধানমন্ত্রীকে তীব্র ভাষায় আক্রমণ করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

এদিন পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরে কোলাঘাটের জনসভা থেকে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, “আমি জানতে চাই এই সিদ্ধান্তের আগে কি ডিল হয়েছিল? কত কোটি টাকার লেনদেন হয়েছিল? নোট বাতিল একটা বড় কেলেঙ্কারি”।

তাঁর সরাসরি আক্রমণ, “‌অমিত শাহ আর বি জে পি চোর!‌ সব থেকে বড় চোর নরেন্দ্র মোদির সরকার!‌ একটা গুন্ডা আর একটা পান্ডা দেশকে জ্বালিয়ে–পুড়িয়ে তছনছ করে দিচ্ছে!‌ কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার সবাইকে চোর বানিয়ে নিজেরা সাধু সাজছে!‌”

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন মোদি-শাহ মিলে ধ্বংস করে দিচ্ছে দেশটাকে। তিবি বলেন, হয় মোদি থাকবে, নয় ভারত থাকবে।’‌ দুর্নীতি প্রসঙ্গে তিনি বলেন, “অজানা উৎস থেকে বিজেপি–‌র তহবিলে টাকা এসেছে সবচেয়ে বেশি। তাদের বিরুদ্ধে কেন ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হচ্ছে না?‌” অসাংবিধানিক কাজকর্ম করে দেশে জরুরি অবস্থা জারি করেছে মোদী সরকার। এখন রাজ্য সরকারের অফিসারদের টার্গেট করছে।

এদিন কোলাঘাটের সভা থেকে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী প্রধানমন্ত্রীর উদ্দেশ্যে বলেন, যে তিনি প্রধানমন্ত্রী, তাঁর দল ও তাঁর সরকারের বিরুদ্ধে তদন্ত চান। তিনি বলেন,“ঝুলি থেকে বেড়াল বেরিয়ে পড়েছে, আমরা জানতে চাই নোট বাতিলের পেছনে আসন কারণ কি ছিল?” মোদি সরকারকে সতর্ক করে এদিন তিনি বলেন ভারতবর্ষের মানুষ তাঁকে কোনদিন ক্ষমা করবে না।
