Sougata Ray’s question on when the government is going to achieve the doubling of farmers’ income
Sir, this reply given by the Government puts the lie to the Government of repeated pronouncements that it will double farmer’s income by 2022. It is a vague reply avoiding the main question as to whether farmer’s income has doubled in five years. The hon. Minister has also avoided the question of farmer suicides. So, it proves that the situation has not improved.I want to know from the hon. Minister as to when exactly farmer’s income throughout the country will be doubled and when the farmer suicides will come down to zero. I do not want a long answer, I want a specific answer from the hon. Minister. When is the Government going to achieve the pronouncements? I do not want Giriraj ji to interfere in this matter. I want the hon. Minister to answer.
