Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today invited Bisheswar Nandi, coach of gymnast Dipa Karmakar to set up a gymnastics academy in Bengal, on the sidelines of ‘Khel Samman’ award ceremony at Netaji Indoor Stadium.

The CM honoured sporting legends on the occasion. She conferred Khel Samman on 13 sportspersons, Banglar Gourab Samman on 15 sportspersons, Krira Guru Samman on 5 coaches. Samar Banerjee and Naresh Kumar were honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Atanu Das, Soumyajit Ghosh, Mouma Das and Debasree Majumder were honoured with ‘Bishesh Samman’ and Dipa Karmakar was felicitated with ‘Ananya Samman’. The CM also distributed financial aid to 4000 new and 8653 old clubs for developing their sports infrastructure. This programme, launched in 2011-12 is aimed at developing sporting talent in the State.

The CM lashed out at demonetisation again and pointed out that the move has adversely affected sponsorship of sports, but said that the government will always stand by the sports persons. She also announced that 13 clubs will get Rs 50 lakh from the state sports department for development of sports.

Enlisting her government’s achievements in building sports infrastructure, she said, “We have built 16 new stadiums, refurbished 46 and built 23 youth hostels.” She also said that she will compose a theme song for the sports department, and emphasised that there is need for one since it will foster identity and as sense of pride.

আজ নেতাজি ইনডোর স্টেডিয়ামে খেল সম্মান এর থেকে জিমনাস্ট দীপা কর্মকারের কোচ বিশ্বেশ্বর নন্দীকে বাংলায় একটি জিমনাস্টিক অ্যাকাডেমি তৈরির জন্য আমন্ত্রণ জানান মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, “২০১৫ সালে বাংলায় ক্রীড়া নীতি তৈরি হয়েছে। বাজেটে এর বরাদ্দ বৃদ্ধি করা হয়েছে। বাংলায় খেলাধুলোর অনেক প্রতিভা রয়েছে। সল্টলেক স্টেডিয়ামে ফুটবল অনুর্দ্ধ-১৭ বিশ্বকাপ হবে। আশা করা যায় এটি বাংলার খেলাধুলোকে আরও এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাবে। ১৩ টি ফুটবল ক্লাবকে ৫০ লক্ষ টাকা আর্থিক অনুদান দেওয়া হবে”।

তিনি আরও বলেন, “১৫ টি নতুন স্টেডিয়াম তৈরি হচ্ছে, ৪৬ টি সংস্কার করা হচ্ছে। ২৩ টি যুব আবাস তৈরি হয়েছে, ১৯ টি সংস্কার করা হয়েছে। ২৮৪ টি মাল্টি জিম তৈরি হয়েছে। জঙ্গলমহল, হিমাল-তরাই-ডুয়ার্স ও সুন্দরবন এলাকায় এখন ক্রীড়া প্রতিযোগিতা হয়। যেখানে ৭০০০০ ছাত্রছাত্রী অংশগ্রহণ করে। জলপাইগুড়িতে বিশ্ব বাংলা ক্রীড়াঙ্গন তৈরি হয়েছে। রবীন্দ্র সরোবর স্টেডিয়াম সংস্কার করা হয়েছে”।

আজকের এই অনুষ্ঠান মঞ্চ থেকে ৪০০০ নতুন ক্লাবকে আর্থিক অনুদান দেওয়া হল তাদের পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নের জন্য। আগে ৮৬৫৩ টি ক্লাবকে দেওয়া হয়েছে। অলিম্পিক কমিটিগুলিকেও ৫ লক্ষ টাকা আর্থিক অনুদান দেওয়া হবে।

বিশিষ্ট কৃতী ক্রীড়াবিদদের সম্মাননা জ্ঞাপন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

There is good news for all the foodies who savour meat like nothing else in the world. Now, in Kolkata, you can get six chicken cutlets for just Rs 120.

The West Bengal Livestock Development Corporation Limited, a Bengal government undertaking, has recently started selling chicken cutlets that come six in number, in a 300 gram packet.

People have already loved this product, after Minister of State, Animal Resource Development (ARD) flagged off the sale at recently concluded Poultry Fair in Kolkata.

The Livestock Development Corporation is mulling to launch the second variety – a 500 gram packet which would contain 10 such pieces of cutlet costing Rs 210.

ভোজন রসিক বাঙালির জন্য সুখবর। রাজ্য প্রাণী সম্পদ উন্নয়ন দপ্তরের উদ্যোগে এবার থেকে ৬টি চিকেন কাটলেট পাওয়া যাবে মাত্র ১২০ টাকায়।

রাজ্য সরকারের অধীনে থাকা West Bengal Livestock Development Corporation Limited এবার থেকে বিক্রি করবে চিকেন কাটলেট। ৩০০ গ্রামের প্যাকেটে ৬টি করে চিকেন কাটলেট থাকবে। কলকাতায় পোলট্রি মেলায় এর বিক্রয় শুরু হয়।

ভবিষ্যতে ৫০০ গ্রামের প্যাকেটে ১০ টি কাটলেট বিক্রি করার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে রাজ্য প্রাণী সম্পদ উন্নয়ন দপ্তরের। এই প্যাকেট গুলির দাম হবে ২১০ টাকা।

State Panchayat and Rural Development minister Subrata Mukherjee on Friday said that the state government had constructed 12,000 km rural roads in the past five years and steps have been taken to ensure that the remaining rural roads are completed in the next five years.

He said, the detailed project report for another 2,000 km rural road had been submitted to the Centre and the Centre is likely to give clearance shortly.

It may be mentioned that the erstwhile Left Front government had constructed only 10,000 km roads in 10 years and in those days, the entire money was given by the Centre under PMGSY. Earlier the Centre used to fund the entire construction cost of rural roads. But now, it is providing funds on a 60-40 basis and it is the responsibility of the states to maintain them.

It may be recalled that after coming to power in 2011, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had given priority to setting up rural roads and ensuring that drinking water problem in the rural areas is resolved.

কেন্দ্র বরাদ্দ কমিয়েছে। সরাসরি টাকা দেবে পঞ্চায়েতে। তবুও গ্রামীণ পাকা রাস্তা সংস্কার তো বটেই নির্মাণেও ঢিলেমি দিতে চায় না রাজ্য।

প্রথম পাঁচ বছরে ১২ হাজার কিলোমিটার সড়ক তৈরি করে রেকর্ড করেছে তৃণমূল সরকার। পরবর্তী ধাপে ৮০০ ও ১২০০ কিলোমিটার রাস্তা গড়ার কাজ চলছে। তার ডিপিআর শেষ। যে সব সড়ক ভেঙ্গেচুরে গিয়েছে সেগুলির দিকেও নজর দিচ্ছে পঞ্চায়েত ও গ্রামোন্নয়ন দপ্তর।

উল্লেখযোগ্য, বাম আমলে ১০ বছরে মাত্র ১০০০০ কিমি রাস্তা তৈরী হয়েছিল। সেই সময় প্রধানমন্ত্রী গ্রাম সড়ক যোজনার পুরো টাকাটাই দিত কেন্দ্র। কিন্তু এখন কেন্দ্র নিজের বরাদ্দ কমিয়ে দিয়েছে। রাজ্যকে দিতে হয় ৪০% টাকা।

২০১১ সালে ক্ষমতায় আসার পর মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের অন্যতম ফোকাস ছিল গ্রামীণ রাস্তা উন্নয়ন ও জলের সমস্যা মেটানো।

Speaking at the inauguration of a pumping booster station at Harish Park in Kolkata, Bengal Chief Minister said that Bengal will turn around. “It is our determination, dedication and devotion,” she said.

The CM said that those who were in power earlier did not do any work and now they are giving lectures. “We have inherited a huge debt burden from the previous govt. Despite financial constraints, we are constantly working for people. We have initiated social welfare schemes like Kanyashree, Sikkha Shree, Sabuj Shree, Yuvashree”.

She added, “Students are getting books, uniforms, shoes for free. We are distributing cycles to students of Class IX-XII. We have improved the infrastructure of govt hospitals. Healthcare is free at govt hospitals. Eight crore people in the State are receiving rice at Rs 2/kilo under Khadya Sathi”.

“When we came to power institutional delivery was 65%. The figure has risen to 90% now. Infant mortality rate has decreased from 32 to 26 in the last five years. We have set up SNCUs, HDUs, SNSUs, Mother & Child Hubs across districts. We started a breast milk bank,” the Chief Minister said.

Mamata Banerjee said that earlier everyone used to say ‘Bengal is finished’. Now people praise the huge progress in the State. She urged the Opposition not to indulge in destructive politics but participate in constructive development.

“CPI(M) is a lost case. Congress should focus on Delhi first. BJP should set its house in order,” she said.

She also came down heavily on demonetisation. “We work for the people. The BJP cannot intimidate anybody by misusing the agencies,” Mamata Banerjee said.

হরিশ পার্কে বুস্টার পাম্পিং স্টেশনের উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বলেন বাংলা ঘুরে দাঁড়াবেই। তিনি বলেন, ‘এটা আমদের ডিটারমিনেশন, ডেডিকেশন অ্যান্ড ডিভোশন’।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বলেন, “যারা আগে ক্ষমতায় ছিলেন তখন তারা মানুষের জন্য কোনও কাজ করেননি, এখন শুধু ভাষণ দিচ্ছেন। আগের সরকারের বিপুল ঋণের বোঝা আমরা বহন করছি। অর্থনৈতিক সমস্যা থাকা সত্ত্বেও আমরা মানুষের জন্য কাজ করে যাচ্ছি। সাধারণ মানুষের জন্য আমরা কন্যাশ্রী, শিক্ষাশ্রী, সবুজ সাথী, যুবশ্রী এইসব উন্নয়নমূলক প্রকল্প চালু করেছি”।

 তিনি আরও বলেন, “ছাত্রছাত্রীরা এখন বিনামূল্যে বই, ইউনিফর্ম, জুতো পাচ্ছে। নবম থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণির ছাত্রছাত্রীদের সাইকেল দিচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকার। সরকারি হাসপাতাল গুলির পরিকাঠামো আরও উন্নত করা হয়েছে, সরকারি হাসপাতালে আজ বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা পাওয়া যাচ্ছে। রাজ্যের ৮ কোটি মানুষ এখন ২ টাকা কেজি দরে চাল পাচ্ছেন”।  

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর কথায়, “আমরা যখন ক্ষমতায় এসেছিলাম তখন ইন্সটিটিউশনাল ডেলিভারি ছিল ৬৫% এখন তা বেড়ে হয়েছে ৯০%। গত ৫ বছরে শিশু মৃত্যুর হার ৩২ থেকে কমে হয়েছে ২৬। এসএনসিইউ, এইচডিইউ, এসএনএসইউ, মাদার ও চাইল্ড হাব তৈরি করা হয়েছে। মাতৃ দুগ্ধ ব্যাঙ্ক তৈরি করা হয়েছে”।  

আগে প্রত্যেকে বলত বাংলা শেষ হয়ে গেছে। এখন মানুষ বাংলার উন্নতি ও প্রগতির প্রশংসা করে। তিনি বিরোধীদের আবেদন করেন ধ্বংসাত্মক রাজনীতি না করে কনস্ট্রাকটিভ উন্নয়নে অংশগ্রহণ করুন।

 তিনি বলেন, “সিপিআই(এম) শেষ হয়ে গেছে। কংগ্রেসের উচিত দিল্লির প্রতি নজর দেওয়া। বিজেপি আগে নিজের ঘর সামলাক”।  

নোট বাতিল প্রসঙ্গে এদিন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, “মানুষ ব্যাঙ্ক থেকে নিজেদের টাকা তুলতে পারছে না, বিজেপি কেন্দ্রীয় এজেন্সির অপব্যবহার করে কাউকেই ভয় দেখাতে পারবে না”।

The Bengal government has brought in an additional three lakh acre of agricultural land under its irrigation programme, with the objective of helping farmers for better cultivation at a time when they are facing hardships due to demonetisation of high value notes.

The state Irrigation minister said: “Around 12.43 lakh acre of land has been brought under the irrigation project and there will be no shortage of water supply for cultivation of Rabi and Boro crops. In the current fiscal, three lakh acres more has been brought under the irrigation programme.”

Interestingly, a lakh of the newly-acquired three lakh acre is in the Jangalmahal area. This is the highest in the decade that 12.43 lakh acre land has been brought under the irrigation project.

The Minister said that farmers are facing troubles due to demonetisation. Keeping the situation in mind, the step has been taken so that they do not have to worry about the requisite quantity of water for cultivation. He further said that the World Bank has given its clearance for the project where the state government would carry out de-siltation of Lower Damodar river and its channels. Once completed, flood in parts of Howrah, Hooghly, Bankura and Burdwan districts will become a thing of the past.

He also criticised the Centre, saying that it is reducing its share of funds for different projects in the state. Earlier, the Centre-state expenditure ratio for a project used to be 75:25, respectively. But now, the state has to bear 50 percent of the project costs and in some cases the state provides 75 percent of the project cost, while the Centre gives only 25 per cent.

 

 

আরও তিন লক্ষ একর জমি সেচ প্রকল্পে যুক্ত করলো রাজ্য

 

নোটবাতিলের ফলে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত চাষিদের সাহায্য করতে উদ্যোগী হল রাজ্য সরকার। রাজ্য সরকার আরও তিন লক্ষ একর চাষের জমিকে সেচের আওতায় আনার উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে। উল্লেখযোগ্য, এই তিন লক্ষ একর জমির মধ্যে এক লক্ষ একর জমিই জঙ্গলমহলে।

রাজ্যের সেচমন্ত্রী বলেন, “আনুমানিক ১২.৪৩ লক্ষ একর জমিকে সেচের আওতায় আনা হয়েছে। রবি ও বোরো শস্যের চাষের সময় কোনও ধরণের জলের ঘাটতি হবে না। চলতি অর্থবর্ষে তিন লক্ষ একর চাষের জমিকে সেচের আওতায় আনা হয়েছে।”

তিনি আরও বলেন, কৃষকরা নোটবাতিলের ফলে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত। এই পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হয়েছে যাতে কৃষকদের পর্যাপ্ত পরিমাণে জল পাওয়ার জন্য দুশ্চিন্তা করতে না হয়।

মন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, বিশ্ব ব্যাঙ্ক ইতিমধ্যেই দামোদর নদীর ডি-সিল্টেশন প্রকল্প অনুমোদন করেছে। এই প্রকল্পটি বাস্তবায়িত হলে বাঁকুড়া, বর্ধমান, হাওড়া ও হুগলী জেলায় বন্যার সমস্যা কমবে।

কেন্দ্রের কড়া সমালোচনাও করেন সেচমন্ত্রী। এতদিন কোনও প্রকল্পের ৭৫ শতাংশ খরচ বহন করত কেন্দ্র, বাকিটা দিত রাজ্য। কিন্তু বর্তমানে রাজ্য সরকারকে ৫০ শতাংশ খরচ, এমনকি কোনও কোনও প্রকল্পে ৭৫ শতাংশও, বহন করতে হচ্ছে।

The state Power department has decided to set up around 177 sub-stations across the state to provide high quality electricity and also to address low voltage problems that still persist in some areas.

State Power minister Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay on Thursday said that around 177 sub-stations of varied capacities will be constructed in the next two years. The main purpose of this initiative is to provide quality electricity to people. Setting up of new sub-stations will also solve the problems of low voltage in some parts of the state.

The minister also reminded that around 44 sub-stations were being constructed in 2016-17, many of which have already been constructed. Altogether, 640 sub-stations have so far been set up in the state.

After coming to power, the Mamata Banerjee-government has done a great deal of work to construct sub-stations so that problems related to electricity, which were a major cause of concern during the Left Front government, could be mitigated. It may be mentioned here that Bengal was the first among the other states to complete the project of rural electrifications. Apart from a few villages, all villages across the states were already brought under the coverage of electricity.

It may be mentioned here that the number of customers of West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) has gone up to 170 lakh from 85 lakh of 2011.

 

 

আগামী দুবছরে ১৭৭টি নতুন বিদ্যু९ সাব–স্টেশন তৈরী করবে রাজ্য

রাজ্য জুড়ে লো-ভোল্টেজের সমস্যা মেটাতে এবং মানুষকে উ९কৃষ্ট মানের বিদ্যু९ সরবরাহ করার লক্ষ্যে ১৭৭টি নতুন বিদ্যু९ সাব-স্টেশন তৈরী করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে রাজ্য বিদ্যু९ দপ্তর।

বৃহস্পতিবার বিদ্যু९ মন্ত্রী শোভনদেব চট্টোপাধ্যায় জানান, আগামি দুবছরে মোট ১৭৭টি সাব স্টেশন তৈরী হবে রাজ্যে। এগুলি তৈরী করার প্রধান উদ্দেশ্য হল মানুষকে উ९কৃষ্ট মানের বিদ্যু९ জোগান দেওয়া। এই প্রকল্পগুলির কাজ শেষ হলে লো-ভোল্টেজের সমস্যাও অনেকটা আয়ত্তে আসবে।

মন্ত্রী আরও জানান, ২০১৬-১৭ সালে প্রায় ৪৪টি সাব স্টেশন নির্মাণ করার সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছিল যার মধ্যে অনেকগুলি ইতিমধ্যেই তৈরি হয়ে গেছে। সব মিলিয়ে রাজ্যে ৬০৪টি সাব স্টেশন নির্মিত হয়েছে।

ক্ষমতায় আসার পর মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় পরিচালিত সরকার সাব স্টেশনের পরিকাঠামো বদল করার একটি চুক্তি করেছিল। বাম আমলে সবচেয়ে বড় সমস্যা এখন অনেকটাই সমাধান হয়েছে। উল্লেখ করা যেতে পারে, গ্রামীণ বিদ্যুতায়নের ক্ষেত্রে বাংলা সব রাজ্যের তুলনায় এগিয়ে। কয়েকটি গ্রাম ছাড়া রাজ্যের অধিকাংশ জায়গায় বিদ্যু९ পৌঁছে গেছে।

এটা উল্লেখযোগ্য যে ২০১১ সালে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বিদ্যু९ নিগমের (WBSEDCL) গ্রাহক সংখ্যা ছিল ৮৫ লক্ষ বর্তমানে এই সংখ্যা ১৭০ লক্ষ।

In a bid to strengthen the regulatory framework for the conservation of the East Kolkata Wetlands, the Bengal Government is planning to introduce a Bill, titled ‘The East Kolkata Wetland (Conversion and Management) Amendment Bill, 2017’ during the ongoing Budget Session.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has often highlighted the need for strict administrative vigilance regarding the protection of wetlands in the State, and this Bill is a result of that.

The conservation of the East Kolkata Wetlands is essential for preserving the balance of nature, as it acts, among other things, as a natural waste management system for the city of Kolkata. During the previous Left Front Government, significant portions of the East Kolkata Wetlands were filled up illegally for the construction of houses. This Bill would help in the safeguarding of this natural urban waste management system.

 

জলাজমি সংরক্ষণের ক্ষেত্রে নতুন বিল আনছে রাজ্য

জলাশয়গুলিকে সংরক্ষণ করার ক্ষেত্রে প্রশাসনকে আরও কঠোর হওয়ার নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। চলতি বিধানসভায় বাজেট অধিবেশনে জলাশয় সংরক্ষণ বিল এনে পরিবেশের ভারসাম্য রক্ষার্থে উদ্যোগী হল রাজ্য সরকার।

এই বিলে ‘জলাশয় সংরক্ষণ কমিটি’ গঠন করার কথা বলা হয়েছে। ‘দি ইস্ট কলকাতা ওয়েটল্যান্ড অ্যামেন্ডমেন্ট বিল-২০১৭’ র মধ্যে দিয়ে জলাশয়গুলিকে রক্ষা করে রাজ্যবাসীর স্বার্থে সেগুলিকে সংরক্ষণ করা সরকারের মূল লক্ষ্য।

বাম আমলে যেখানে একের পর এক জলাশয় বুজিয়ে বিভিন্ন জায়গায় যেভাবে নির্মাণ কাজ চলেছিল, তার ফলে পরিবেশের ভারসাম্য ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়। বর্তমান সরকার ক্ষমতায় আসার পরই এই দিকটি বিশেষভাবে নজর দেওয়া হয়।

Bengal government has started some new schemes to augment fish production in north Bengal where pisciculture could not be done in large scale.

In addition to these schemes, the state Fisheries department is also procuring the most advanced satellite images through which the department officials will be able to assess the condition of various water bodies across the state.

Water quality mapping is an important factor in the production of fishes. An increase in fish production depends on the water quality. A host of parameters such as dissolved oxygen content in water, chlorophyll, water turbidity, water depth etc plays a vital role.

Fish production in north Bengal has comparatively been low and hence several steps have been taken to boost the pisciculture there. The department has started to put fishlings into rivers and government ponds. They were distributing free food for feeding small fishes. Fish farmers are being provided training on how to apply scientific methods to cultivate fishes. Food is being distributed for feeding small fishes completely free of cost.

After carrying out a study, it has been observed that most of the fish cultivators do not feed the fish sufficiently and as a result of this, the growth of the fishes is not up to the mark. The state government is conducting awareness camps to inform the farmers how to detect diseases of the fishes and boost fish growth. The department has already chosen some government ponds for cultivating fish.

Fishlings have been put into different ponds across North Bengal and also in rivers like Teesta, Torsha, Kalijani, Karla, Jaldhaka, Sankosh and others. Awareness campaigns in local areas has been started where tea gardens exist, so that people learn to avoid using the river water to clean the spray machines after using them for pest control purposes. It was learnt that around 6,000 ton of fish are currently produced in Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar districts annually.

To increase the fish production, the satellite images would help the department in many ways. The department will procure current satellite data to know the exact contents of a particular waterbody. It will also help understand the nature and quality of each waterbody.

 

উত্তরবঙ্গে মাছচাষ বৃদ্ধির উদ্যোগ রাজ্য সরকারের

উত্তরবঙ্গের যেসব অঞ্চলে বড় আকারে মাছ চাষ সম্ভব নয়, সেই সব অঞ্চলে মাছচাষ বাড়ানোর উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার।

এই প্রকল্পে রাজ্য ম९স্য দপ্তরের তরফে আধুনিক প্রযুক্তি ব্যাবহার করছে। এই প্রযুক্তিতে সারা রাজ্যে যত জলাশয় আছে তার স্যাটেলাইট মারফত ছবি ম९স্য দপ্তরের আধিকারিকদের কাছে চলে যাবে। এছাড়াও জলাশয়গুলির জলের গুনমানও জানা যাবে প্রযুক্তির সাহায্যে।

মাছ চাষের জন্য জলের গুনমান বিচার খুব জরুরি বিষয়। জলাশয়ের অনেক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ মাপকাঠির ওপর নির্ভর করে মাছচাষ। যেমন, জলে অক্সিজেনের পরিমান, ক্লোরোফিলের মাত্রা, জলের গভীরতা ইত্যাদি।

মাছ উ९পাদন উত্তরবঙ্গে তুলনামূলকভাবে কম। তাই, সেখানে মাছ উ९পাদন বৃদ্ধি করতে বেশ কিছু পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হয়েছে। মৎস্য দপ্তর তিস্তা, তোর্সা, কালিজানি, কারলা, জলঢাকা, সঙ্কশ নদী ও রাজ্য সরকারের অধীন পুকুরগুলোতে চারা মাছ ছাড়ছে। মাছ চাষে অত্যাধুনিক পদ্ধতি ব্যাবহার করার প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হচ্ছে মাছচাষিদের।

একটি সমীক্ষার মাধ্যমে জানা গেছে মাছ চাষিরা বেশির ভাগ ক্ষেত্রেই মাছেদের উপযুক্ত পরিমানে খাবার দেয় না। তাই, ছোট মাছের খাদ্যও বিনামূল্যে বিতরণ করছে। মাছের রোগ চিহ্নিত করার তালিমও দেওয়া হবে এই প্রশিক্ষণে। এর ফলে ফলন বাড়বে।

Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee conducted the first administrative review meeting at new district Kalimpong on Wednesday. On 14 February, Kalimpong was declared as the 21st district of the State. She said that her government would showcase it on the lines of Darjeeling.

“Everyone is very happy with the new district. All officials were present and participated at the meeting.” she told reporters after the administrative meeting.

“We had positive discussions regarding developmental projects that will be taken up in the new district,” she said.

She said that many tourists visit Darjeeling. But Kalimpong also has a number of tourist spots which would be showcased.

The CM had announced a slew of development projects for the newly-created district and said that a Rs 220 crore road link project would be taken up to connect Kalimpong with Sikkim via the old Silk Route.

She had said that a Rs 50 crore water supply project by the public health engineering department will be taken up soon to address Kalimpong’s water scarcity problem.

After the meeting the Bengal CM announced that the two existing task forces, the Terai-Dooars Unnayan Parishad and the Terai-Dooars Adivasi Unnayan Parishad, will be transformed into separate development boards.

 

নতুন জেলা কালিম্পঙে প্রথম প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

বুধবার নতুন জেলা কালিম্পঙে প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। গত ১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি, মঙ্গলবার রাজ্যের ২১তম জেলা হিসাবে মানচিত্রে জায়গা করে নেয় কালিম্পং৷

নতুন ১৫টি বোর্ডের কাজকর্ম নিয়ে সবিস্তারে আলোচনা হয় বুধবার৷ কীভাবে সাধারণ মানুষের উন্নয়নের জন্য বোর্ডগুলি কাজ করবে, তার রূপরেখাও তৈরি করে দেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

প্রশাসনিক বৈঠকের পর তিনি সাংবাদিকদের জানান, “সকলে নতুন জেলা পেয়ে খুব খুশি। সব কর্মকর্তারা বৈঠকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন”।

তিনি আরও জানান, “নতুন জেলার জন্য বিভিন্ন উন্নয়নমূলক প্রকল্প নিয়ে আলোচনা হয়েছে এবং আলোচনা ফলপ্রসূ। দার্জিলিং-এ অনেক পর্যটক আসেন কিন্তু কালিম্পঙেও অনেক ট্যুরিস্ট স্পট রয়েছে”।

ইতিমধ্যেই নতুন জেলার জন্য বেশ কিছু উন্নয়নমূলক প্রকল্পের ঘোষণা করেছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। কালিম্পং-সিকিম সিল্ক রুটের উন্নয়নের জন্য ২২০ কোটি টাকা বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে। খুব শীঘ্রই কালিম্পঙের জন্য একটি জল সরবরাহ প্রকল্প চালু করবে জনস্বাস্থ্য কারিগরি দপ্তর। এর জন্য বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে ৫০ কোটি টাকা।

এছাড়া অতীতে গঠিত দুটি টাস্ক ফোর্সকে বোর্ডে রূপান্তরিত করা হবে। এগুলি হল – তরাই-ডুয়ার্স উন্নয়ন পরিষদ ও তরাই-ডুয়ার্স আদিবাসী উন্নয়ন পরিষদ।

The foundation of ‘Akhankha’ housing complex at New Town was laid on Tuesday. This is the housing complex solely made for state government’s non-executive employees.

The state Housing department initiated the project, in which 447 flats have already been allotted out of 500 flats. The work will be initiated soon. The project will be completed by 2019.

There are many State government employees who work tirelessly but could not build their homes. The previous government did not think about those employees. Now, the present government has planned this project for them.

 

রাজ্য সরকারি কর্মীদের জন্য আবাসনের ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপন করা হল

নিউ টাউনে ‘নন-এক্সিকিউটিভ’ সরকারি কর্মীদের জন্য মালিকানাভিত্তিক আবাসনের ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপন করা হল মঙ্গলবার। আবাসনটির নাম রাখা হয়েছে ‘আকাঙ্খা’।

রাজ্য আবাসন দপ্তরের এই প্রকল্পে মোট ৫০০ ফ্ল্যাটের মধ্যে ইতিমধ্যেই ৪৪৭টি ফ্ল্যাট বণ্টন করা হয়ে গেছে। এই প্রকল্পের কাজ ২০১৯ সালের মধ্যে শেষ হয়ে যাবে।

অনেক রাজ্য সরকারের কর্মী নিজের বাসস্থান তৈরি করে উঠতে পারেন না। আগের সরকার রাজ্য সরকারি কর্মীদের এই সমস্যার জন্য কিছুই করেনি। বর্তমান সরকার তাই সরকারি কর্মীদের জন্য এই প্রকল্প শুরু করেছে।
