West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today walked for a special cause – spreading road safety awareness.

With eminent personalities, celebrities and school children in tow, Ms Banerjee, who is also the Trinamool Congress Chairperson, walked to promote ‘Safe Drive Save Life,’ a road safety initiative launched by her Government.

The procession began at Ramlila Maidan in Moulali, then would its way through BB Ganguly Street and Chittaranjan Avenue to end at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the junction of Mayo Road and Dufferin Road in Esplanade.

The State Government in July launched the ‘Safe Drive Save Life’ initiative aimed at inculcating a sense of safe driving and responsible road behaviour.

Besides cracking down on rash drivers, the Government has introduced the ‘no helmet no petrol’ rule, forbidding petrol pump owners from selling fuel to bikers who are without any safety headgear.

‘সেফ ড্রাইভ, সেভ লাইফ’ কর্মসূচি নিয়ে আজ দুপুরে কলকাতার রাজপথে নামলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়৷ ঐতিহাসিক রাখিবন্ধনের দিনটিকে এই সামাজিক সচেতনতা কর্মসূচির জন্য বেছে নেওয়া হয়েছে।

আজ দুপুরে মৌলালির রামলীলা ময়দান থেকে সেন্ট্রাল অ্যাভিনিউ হয়ে ধর্মতলায় গান্ধি মূর্তির পাদদেশে সম্পন্ন হয় পদযাত্রা৷ সঙ্গে ছিল বর্ণাঢ্য মিছিল৷ স্লোগান ছিল ‘সেফ ড্রাইভ, সেভ লাইফ’৷

গোটা কর্মসূচি পরিচালনা করে কলকাতা পুলিশ৷ মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ছাড়াও এই কর্মসূচিতে অংশ নেন রাজ্য মন্ত্রিসভার সদস্য, সাংসদ, বিধায়ক এবং প্রশাসনিক আধিকারিকরা৷

রাজ্যে সড়ক দুর্ঘটনা ঠেকাতে জোরকদমে নানা কর্মসূচি নিচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকার৷ স্বয়ং মুখ্যমন্ত্রী এ ব্যাপারে উদ্যোগ নিয়ে একাধিক নির্দেশিকা জারি করেছেন৷ গত জুলাই মাসে সড়ক নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করার জন্য ‘সেফ ড্রাইভ, সেভ লাইফ’ কর্মসূচি চালু করেছে রাজ্য সরকার। হেলমেট ছাড়া বাইক চলাচল রাজ্যে নিষিদ্ধ হয়েছে৷

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর পরবর্তী স্লোগান, ‘সাবধানে চালাও৷ জীবন বাঁচাও’৷ জেলাগুলিতেও এই সচেতনতা কর্মসূচি নেওয়া হয়েছে৷

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who holds the health portfolio has resumed making surprise visits to state-run medical colleges and hospitals in the city. She wants to take a closer look at the healthcare services in these medical institutes.

After coming to power for the first time in Bengal in 2011, the Chief Minister had started to pay surprise visits to many government hospitals to streamline the public healthcare system.

After taking oath for the second time, the West Bengal Chief Minister had took on to surprise visits again. On Tuesday, she visited Chittraranjan Sevasadan for 15 minutes.

She inquired about the ongoing projects and services for patients. The Chief Minister also paid a visit to the Fair Price Medicine shop in the hospital premises inquired about the availability of medicines and other details from the people standing in the queue.

সরকারি হাসপাতালে সারপ্রাইজ ভিজিট শুরু করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় তথা স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রী মেডিকেল কলেজসহ শহরের বিভিন্ন সরকারি হাসপাতালে সারপ্রাইজ ভিজিট শুরু করলেন। এই সব মেডিকেল ইনস্টিটিউট গুলির পরিকাঠামো আরও বিশদে খতিয়ে দেখতে চান মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

২০১১ সালে প্রথমবার ক্ষমতায় আসার পর মুখ্যমন্ত্রী জন স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবা ঠিক করতে অনেক সরকারি হাসপাতালেই সারপ্রাইজ ভিজিট শুরু করেছেন।

দ্বিতীয়বার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হিসেবে শপথ গ্রহণের পর আবার ও তিনি সারপ্রাইজ ভিজিট করে হাসপাতাল পরিদর্শন করেন। মঙ্গলবার, তিনি ১৫ মিনিটের জন্য চিত্তরঞ্জন সেবাসদনে যান। ঘুরে দেখেন হাসপাতালের পরিস্থিতি৷

মঙ্গলবার বেলা এগারোটা চল্লিশ নাগাদ মুখ্যমন্ত্রী সটান হাজির হন চিত্তরঞ্জন সেবাসদনের ‘এনকোয়ারি’ বিভাগে৷ জানতে চান, মা ও শিশুরা পরিষেবা ঠিকমতো পাচ্ছেন কি না, নির্মাণকাজ কেমন গতিতে চলছে ইত্যাদি৷  এর পরই মুখ্যমন্ত্রী চলে যান ন্যায্য মূল্যের ওষুধের দোকানের কাউণ্টারে৷ সেখানে গিয়ে রোগীদের কাছে জানতে চান, তাঁরা সব ওষুধ দোকান থেকে পাচ্ছেন কি না৷কয়েকটি প্রেসক্রিপশনও পরীক্ষা করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী৷

A Trinamool Congress Parliamentary team will meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will urge him to resolve the impasse over issuing of Aadhaar cards, party Chairperson Mamata Banerjee said on Tuesday.

She said despite repeated requests, the Centre did not resolve the problem. Of 9 crore people in the state, more than 2.5 crore people have not received their Aadhaar cards. The problem started after the Centre decided to complete the procedure of issuing Aadhaar cards by August 31.

She said the state government would launch massive campaign involving all sections of people including students urging the people to maintain cool.

“The Centre has failed to resolve the issue and on the contrary has made Aadhaar cards mandatory for many of its projects,” the Chairperson said.

She had raised the issue during her meeting with the Prime Minister in Delhi recently. She maintained that non availability of Aadhaar cards was creating serious law and order problem.

আধার সমস্যা নিয়ে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে দেখা করবে তৃণমূলের সংসদীয় দল

তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের সংসদীয় দলের প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করবে এবং আধার কার্ড সংক্রান্ত সবরকম সমস্যা সমাধান করার আর্জি জানাবে, মঙ্গলবার একথা জানিয়েছেন তৃণমূল সুপ্রিমো মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

তিনি বলেন, “আধার কার্ড নিয়ে ভয়াবহ পরিস্থিতি তৈরি হয়েছে। গুরুতর আইন-শৃঙ্খলার সমস্যা দেখা দিয়েছে”।

তিনি বলেন, বার বার অনুরোধ করা সত্ত্বেও কেন্দ্রে আধার কার্ড  সমস্যা সমাধান করেনি। রাজ্যের ৯ কোটি মানুষের মধ্যে ২.৫ কোটির বেশি মানুষ তাদের আধার কার্ড পান নি। কেন্দ্র নিজের মত সময়সীমা ঠিক করেছে ৩১শে আগস্ট আর তারপর থেকেই সমস্যা শুরু হয়েছে।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, “কেন্দ্র আধার কার্ড সমস্যার সমাধান করতে ব্যর্থ হয়েছে এবং এর পরিবর্তে এই   কার্ড বাধ্যতামূলক করেছে”।

সম্প্রতি দিল্লিতে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে বৈঠকে তিনি বিষয়টি উত্থাপন করেছিলেন। তিনি বলেন যে আধার কার্ডের অপর্যাপ্ততা গুরুতর আইন-শৃঙ্খলা সমস্যা তৈরি করছে।

In a bid to help girl students obtain benefits under the Kanyashree scheme within the shortest possible time after submitting their application, the state government has introduced internet-based platforms on the third Kanyashree Divas.

The mobile app on Kanyashree scheme will enable a user to know the status of their application. One can also lodge their grievances through the app. At the same time, a user can also view activities and events related to Kanyashree.

On Sunday, the third Kanyashree Divas was celebrated. The celebrations are being held at all levels across the state, where already 34 lakh girl students have received benefits under the scheme.

Dr Amit Mitra, the state finance minister, launched the Kanyashree App  and an internet-based facility called Kanyashree Online 4.0. An SMS service was also introduced on Sunday. Dr Sashi Panja, the state women and child development minister was also present at the event.

The Kanysahree Online 4.0 internet service has been introduced to help students get detailed information related to the scheme and certificates of more than three lakh girls who received the one-time grant of Rs 25,000 was generated online on Sunday itself.

Till date, funds have been directly transferred to the bank accounts of more than seven lakh girls – who received the Rs 25,000 grant – and 31 lakh girls – whose have got the annual scholarship of Rs 750.

Lauding the project, Foroogh Foyouzat, Chief of Field Services, UNICEF India, said: “The initiative is close to my heart. Kanyashree has contributed in reducing the cases of child marriages. It is also helping in reducing the dropout rates in the schools. Educating people is an effective way to reduce child marriage and it will help in taking the country forward.”

 

‘কন্যাশ্রী মোবাইল অ্যাপ’ চালু করল রাজ্য সরকার

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর স্বপ্নের ‘কন্যাশ্রী’ প্রকল্প এবার আরও এক ধাপ এগিয়ে গেল। ১৪ই আগস্ট উত্তরণ ঘটল ‘কন্যাশ্রী অ্যাপ’-এর। ইতিমধ্যেই কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের সুফল ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে রাজ্যের সর্বত্র৷ পড়াশোনা এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য ছাত্রীরা আর্থিক সাহায্য পাচ্ছেন৷ বাল্যবিবাহ প্রতিরোধ করা সম্ভব হয়েছে৷

‘কন্যাশ্রী অ্যাপ’-এর মাধ্যমে এই প্রকল্পের অধীন ছাত্রীরা আবেদনপত্রের পরিস্থিতি জানতে পারবেন ৷ ব্যাঙ্ক অ্যাকাউন্টে টাকা ঠিকমতো পড়েছে কি না, আবেদনপত্রের বর্তমান অবস্থান, ফর্মে কোনও ত্রুটি ছিল কি না, পরবর্তী অনুষ্ঠানের দিন ও সময়– এ যাবতীয় বিষয় এবার অ্যাপসের মাধ্যমে জানতে পারবে ছাত্রীরা৷

রবিবার তৃতীয় কন্যাশ্রী দিবস পালিত হল। শুধু কলকাতায় নয়, সারা রাজ্য জুড়ে সমস্ত জেলায় পালিত হয়েছে এই দিনটি যেখানে সারা রাজ্যে মোট ৩৪ লক্ষ কন্যা এই প্রকল্পের সুবিধা পেয়েছে।

রবিবার ‘কন্যাশ্রী অ্যাপ’-এর উদ্বোধন করলেন রাজ্যের অর্থমন্ত্রী অমিত মিত্র৷ রবিবার থেকে এসএমএস পরিষেবাও চালু হল। রাজ্যের নারী ও শিশুকল্যাণ দপ্তরের মন্ত্রী শশী পাঁজা ও এদিন এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

কন্যাশ্রীর কে-ওয়ান প্রকল্পে ইতিমধ্যে ৩১ লক্ষ ছাত্রী বার্ষিক ৭৫০ টাকা করে পাচ্ছে৷ কে-টু প্রকল্পে এককালীন ২৫ হাজার টাকা করে দেওয়া হয়েছে ৭ লক্ষ ছাত্রীকে৷ অনলাইনে ৪.০ ইন্টারনেট পরিষেবার মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থীরা প্রকল্প সম্বন্ধে ও সার্টিফিকেট সমস্ত তথ্য পাবে।

এ বছর কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পে প্রথম হয়েছে নদিয়া জেলা৷ দ্বিতীয় স্থান বীরভূম ও তৃতীয় স্থান পেয়েছে কলকাতা৷ ভাল কাজের জন্য বিশেষ পুরস্কার পেয়েছে বাঁকুড়া ও মালদহ জেলা৷

ইউনিসেফের কর্মকর্তারা জানালেন, কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের সুফল মিলেছে৷ স্কুলছুটের সংখ্যাও অনেক কমেছে৷ বাল্যবিবাহের সংখ্যাও কমেছে। এর মাধমে আগামী দিনে নারী শিক্ষার অনেক প্রসার ঘটবে।

In a bid to generate employment opportunities and uplift the livelihood of the underprivileged people in the urban parts, the state government has decided to set up city livelihood centres (CLC) or Nagar Jibika Kendra.

With the setting up of the CLCs, members of self help groups (SHGs) will get information that will help them in marketing their products in a better way and as a result increase the chances of getting better prices for their products.
At the same time, unemployed youths in different districts can visit the CLCs in their respective areas to get job related information.
In the first phase, 28 such centres will come up at different places including Asansol in Burdwan; Krishnanagar, Nawadip and Kalyani in Nadia; Madhayamgram, Naihati, Barrackpore, Bongaon, Barasat, Basirhat, Kamarhati and Bhatpara in North 24 Parganas; Chinsurah, Uttarpara and Serampore in Hooghly; Haldia and Tamralipta in East Midnapore; Alipurduar; Englishbazar in Malda; Bankura and Uluberia in Howrah; Behrampore in Murshidabad; Kharagpur in West Midnapore; Purulia; and Jalpaiguri.
The centres will come up under the West Bengal State Urban Livelihood Mission.

দরিদ্র ও স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠীদের সাহায্য করার জন্য চালু হবে নগর জীবিকা কেন্দ্র

কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ তৈরী করার জন্য এবং গ্রামীণ অঞ্চলের সব রকম সুবিধা থেকে বঞ্চিত হওয়া মানুষের জীবিকা উন্নয়নের জন্য, রাজ্য সরকার সিটি লাইভলিহুড সেন্টার বা নগর জীবিকা কেন্দ্র গঠনের সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে।

সিটি লাইভলিহুড সেন্টার তৈরির মাধ্যমে স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠীর (SHGs) সদস্যরা প্রয়োজনীয় তথ্য পাবেন যার মাধ্যমে তারা তাদের উৎপাদিত পণ্যদ্রব্য বাজারজাত করতে পারবেন এবং এর ফলস্বরূপ তাদের পণ্যের জন্য ভালো দাম পাবার সম্ভাবনাও বৃদ্ধি পাবে।

একই সময়ে, বিভিন্ন জেলায় বেকার যুবকরা তাদের নিজ নিজ এলাকার সিটি লাইভলিহুড সেন্টার পরিদর্শন করতে পারবেন এবং তাদের প্রয়োজনীয় সমস্ত তথ্য পাবেন।

প্রথম দফায়, বর্ধমানের আসানসোল সহ বিভিন্ন স্থানে ২৮ টি কেন্দ্র তৈরি হবে; কৃষ্ণনগর, নবদ্বীপ ও নদীয়াতে কল্যাণী; মধ্যমগ্রাম, নৈহাটি, ব্যারাকপুর, বনগাঁ, বারাসত, বসিরহাট, কামারহাটি ও উত্তর ২৪ পরগনা ভাটপাড়ায়; চুঁচুড়া, উত্তরপাড়া ও হুগলির মধ্যে শ্রীরামপুর; হলদিয়া ও পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরের তাম্রলিপ্ত; আলিপুরদুয়ার; মালদহের ইংলিশবাজার; বাঁকুড়া এবং হাওড়ার উলুবেড়িয়া; মুর্শিদাবাদের বহরমপুর; পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের খড়গপুর; পুরুলিয়া ও জলপাইগুড়ি।

এই কেন্দ্রগুলি ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল আরবান লাইভলিহুড মিশনের অধীনে আসবে কেন্দ্রগুলি।

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee unfurled the Tricolour as the state celebrated the 70th Independence Day on Monday. Mamata Banerjee unfurled the tricolour on Red Road, Kolkata and received a guard of honour from the Kolkata Police and other security personnel.

On this occasion, Chief Minister’s police medals for outstanding and commendable service were given away. Cultural programmes were held by school children and various artistes at venue showcasing the cultural heritage of the country.

As the colourful contingents went past, a helicopter showered flower petals on people gathered to witness the celebrations.

After Mamata Banerjee became Chief Minister in 2011, she started the Independence Day event at the Red Road with parades and colourful programmes.

বর্ণাঢ্য অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে রাজ্যে উদযাপিত হল স্বাধীনতা দিবস

সোমবার ৭০তম স্বাধীনতা দিবসে রেড রোডে জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করলেন পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়৷ এদিন মুখ্যমন্ত্রীকে গার্ড অফ অনার দেওয়া হয় কলকাতা পুলিশের পক্ষ থেকে।

এই অনুষ্ঠান উপলক্ষে, রাজ্যের আইন শৃঙ্খলা রক্ষা ও বিশেষ কৃতিত্বের জন্য মুখ্যমন্ত্রী কয়েকজন পুলিশকে সম্মানিত করেছেন। বিভিন্ন সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে বাংলার সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্য তুলে ধরা হয়েছে।

হেলিকপ্টার থেকে পুষ্পবৃষ্টির মাধ্যমে প্রথমে শুভেচ্ছা জানানো হয়৷ পাশাপাশি এদিন নেতাজির মূর্তি ও পুলিশ মেমোরিয়ালেও মালা দিয়ে শ্রদ্ধাজ্ঞাপন করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী৷ এরপর চলে কুচকাওয়াজ ও সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান৷

সরকারি বিভিন্ন প্রকল্প উঠে এল সাংস্কৃতির অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্যে৷ খাদ্য সাথী থেকে সবুজায়ন, বিশ্ববাংলার মতো মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর স্বপ্নের প্রকল্পগুলিকে তুলে ধরা হল কুচকাওয়াজ ও অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে৷ জাতীয় সংগীতের মাধ্যমেই শেষ হয় রাজ্য সরকারের স্বাধীনতা দিবস উদযাপনের এই অনুষ্ঠান৷

The West Bengal Government is planning to come up with a new development corporation in the line of the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation for operating and maintaining the youth hostels.

Attracting tourists

The proposed development corporation will function like the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation. To begin with, the youth services department has sought assistance from the tourism department for upgrading the infrastructure and services at its hostels. An allotment of Rs 140 crore has been made for upgrading the hostels.

A total of Rs 90 crore has been allotted for setting up 23 new youth hostels and another Rs 50 crore for renovating the existing 20 hostels.

Facelift for hostels

If things go as planned, the youth hostels will no longer be used for accommodation alone. It will now have a host of facilities including a mini indoor games complex, multi-gym, playground and community hall cum recreation centre. The hostels will serve as venues for hosting conferences as well.

যুব আবাসগুলি পরিচালনা করার জন্য পশ্চিমবঙ্গ উন্নয়ন পর্ষদের পাশাপাশি একটি নতুন উন্নয়ন পর্ষদ গঠনের পরিকল্পনা করছে রাজ্য সরকার।

পর্যটকদের আকর্ষণ করতে

প্রস্তাবিত উন্নয়ন পর্ষদ পশ্চিমবঙ্গ পর্যটন উন্নয়ন পর্ষদের মতোই কাজ করবে। হোস্টেলগুলির পরিকাঠামোগত উন্নয়নের জন্য যুব কল্যাণ দপ্তরকে সহায়তা করবে পর্যটন বিভাগ। হোস্টেলগুলি সংস্কারের জন্য ১৪০ কোটি টাকা বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে।

২৩টি হোস্টেল তৈরি করতে মোট ৯০ কোটি টাকা খরচ হবে এবং বাকি ২০ টি হোস্টেল পুনঃসংস্করণের জন্য ৫০ কোটি টাকা খরচ হবে।

হোস্টেল পুনঃসংস্করণ

সব কিছু পরিকল্পনামাফিক হলে, যুব হোস্টেলগুলি আর থাকার জন্য ব্যবহার করা যাবে না। এখানে একটি মিনি ইনডোর গেম কমপ্লেক্স, মাল্টি জিম, খেলার মাঠ এবং কমিউনিটি হল ও একটি বিনোদন কেন্দ্রর সুবিধা থাকবে। এছাড়া হোস্টেলগুলিতে সম্মেলনও অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।

Clarification 1

Sir, Satish Ji has raised a point. The Government has defined the commissioning mothers; they have to define the adopting mothers. There is no use of fighting over this. They may have overlooked the issue of surrogacy. So let them look at the case of commissioning mothers and adopting mothers.

To be fair to the Government, all of us who have studied this Bill – with our colleagues – also missed this point. I am glad that Satish Ji pointed this out.

Clarification 2

Sir, no one is trying to do any politics. This is about the surrogate mothers. Let him give us a one-line assurance that the surrogate mothers, like the commissioning mothers and the adopting mothers, will be included.

Clarification 3

Sir, this is not a mistake made by the Government alone. This is also a mistake made by all of us in the Opposition, who have examined the Bill. So let us not do any one-upmanship. Satish Ji pointed this out in good spirit.

We are simply saying, there are commissioning mothers, and there are adopting mothers. In between, the aspect of a surrogate mothers went unnoticed by all of us; it also went unnoticed by the government. So let us not say that the Government has made a mistake. The Opposition who spoke on the Bill has also made a mistake.

So, we humbly appeal to the Government to look at this.

West Bengal Government is taking massive steps to provide passenger safety in waterways transport. After successfully taking up the Safe Drive Save Life campaign for road safety, the State Government is taking up measures to improve infrastructure of the 50 important ferryghats which are used by thousands of passengers to avail water transport.

After a recent meeting at the State Secretariat, Nabanna, it was decided that there should be proper manning by the authorities and maintenance of the ferryghats at regular interval has been made mandatory. It will be also seen that the boats are not overloaded and time is maintained for the service. Also, lighting up the ferryghats has also been taken in account.

State Transport Minister Suvendu Adhikari has given strict instructions to follow the decisions made. The Transport department will now keep a strict vigil on all the ferryghats which are generally run by municipalities, Zilla Parishads or panchayats.

 

জলপথ পরিবহণে যাত্রী নিরাপত্তায় গুরুত্ব দিচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকার

সড়ক পরিবহণের পর জলপথ পরিবহণেও যাত্রী নিরাপত্তায় গুরুত্ব দিচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকার। সড়ক নিরাপত্তায় সেফ ড্রাইভ সেফ লাইফ প্রচারের সফল কর্মসূচির পর রাজ্যের ৫০ টি ফেরিঘাটের পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নের পরিকল্পনা নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার। এই ফেরিঘাটগুলি রোজ হাজার হাজার যাত্রী পারাপার করে।

নবান্নে একটি বৈঠকের পর সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয় যে, ফেরিঘাটের রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের জন্য অতিরিক্ত লোক রাখা হবে, যাত্রী ওঠানামার সময় নজরদারি চালাতে হবে, নৌকায় অতিরিক্ত যাত্রী তোলা যাবে না, নির্দিষ্ট সময় মেনে পরিষেবা চালু ও বন্ধ করতে হবে, অতিবৃষ্টির সময় পরিষেবা বন্ধ রাখতে হবে। প্রতিটি ঘাটে বিশেষ আলোর ব্যবস্থা করতে হবে।

যেসব সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে তা মেনে চলার নির্দেশ দেন রাজ্যের পরিবহণ মন্ত্রী শুভেন্দু অধিকারী।  এখন থেকে পৌরসভা, জেলা পরিষদ বা পঞ্চায়েত দ্বারা পরিচালিত সব খেয়া ঘাট গুলির ওপর নজর রাখবে পরিবহন বিভাগ।
