Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today launched a unique cooperative for the journalists of north Bengal, at Siliguri. She has christened the cooperative as Shreshtarghya.

The Chief Minister handed over the land documents for the Siliguri Journalists’ Club. She has allotted 5 kathas of land for the SJC at Kawakhali in the outskirts of Siliguri.

West Bengal Government  has already announced a health insurance scheme for journalists. The scheme has been named Mabhoi by the Chief Minister herself. The formal name of the scheme is West Bengal Health Scheme for Journalists, 2016. The scheme is applicable for all West Bengal Government-accredited journalists till the age of 65, including those who have retired.

The Chief Minister will then visit Kalimpong where a number of Government programmes are lined up for the next day.

উত্তরবঙ্গের সাংবাদিকদের জন্য সুখবর। মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দোপাধ্যায়ের ঐকান্তিক অনুপ্রেরণায় একটি অনন্য সমবায়ের সূচনা হল আজ শিলিগুড়িতে, মমতা বন্দোপাধ্যায় যার নাম রেখেছেন “শ্রেষ্টার্ঘ্য”।

শিলিগুড়ি থেকে অনতিদূরে একটি পাঁচ কাঠা জমির দলিল তিনি আজ উত্তরবঙ্গের সাংবাদিকদের হাতে তুলে দেন; এখানে শিলিগুড়ি জার্নালিস্ট ক্লাব তৈরী করা হবে।

ইতিপূর্বেই সরকার সাংবাদিকদের জন্য স্বাস্থ্য বীমার কথা ঘোষণা করেন, যে উদ্যোগটির নামকরণ করা হয়েছে মাভৈ। এই প্রকল্পটির সরকারি নাম অবশ্য ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল হেলথ স্কিম ফর জার্নালিস্টস, ২০১৬। ৬৫ বছর বয়স পর্যন্ত কাজে নিযুক্ত ও অবসরপ্রাপ্ত সকল সরকারি প্রতিষ্ঠানে নিযুক্ত সাংবাদিকরা এই প্রকল্পের আওতায় পড়বেন।

এরপর মুখ্যমন্ত্রী কালিম্পঙ যাবেন যেখানে কাল তিনি একগুচ্ছ সরকারি অনুষ্ঠানে যোগ দেবেন।

The work for setting up digital libraries in each district will start from November this year. The officers from the state library department are working hard to start the project in time.

The digital library is an upcoming trend, as it reduces space crunch. It is actually the collection of documents in organised electronic form, available on the Internet or on CD-ROMs (compact-disk read-only memory) disks. Depending on the specific library, a user is able to access magazine articles, books, papers, images, sound files, and videos.

The department is also taking several steps to revamp the State Central Library. A vision document of the Mass Education Extension and Library department were made by the department.

 

রাজ্যের প্রতিটি জেলায় ডিজিটাল লাইব্রেরি তৈরি করছে রাজ্য সরকার

 প্রতিটি জেলায় ডিজিটাল লাইব্রেরি স্থাপনের জন্য কাজ এই বছরের নভেম্বর থেকে শুরু হবে। রাজ্য গ্রন্থাগার বিভাগের কর্মকর্তারা সময়মত প্রকল্প শুরু করার জন্য কঠোর পরিশ্রম করছেন।

এই লাইব্রেরির মাধ্যমে ইলেক্ট্রনিক্স ফর্মে নথি সংগ্রহ করা হবে। এগুলি ইন্টারনেটে পাওয়া যাবে। এছাড়া সিডি ফর্মেও পাওয়া সম্ভবপর হবে। একটি নির্দিষ্ট লাইব্রেরির ওপর নির্ভর করে একজন পাঠক সবরকম পত্রিকা নিবন্ধ, বই, কাগজপত্র, ইমেজ, সাউন্ড ফাইল, এবং ভিডিও ইত্যাদি সহজেই পাবেন।

রাজ্যের কেন্দ্রীয় গ্রন্থাগারগুলি পুনর্গঠনের জন্য বিভিন্ন পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করেছে রাজ্য গ্রন্থাগার বিভাগ। গণশিক্ষা প্রসার ও গ্রন্থাগার বিভাগ একটি ভিশন ডকুমেন্টও তৈরি করেছে।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today distributed bicycles under Sabuj Sathi project among the students of class IX in Siliguri.

During the event the Chief Minister said that the youths and students of today will build a new society in future; they will make Bengal the best.

“We want the students to stand on their feet in future. Never allow negative thoughts to fill your minds,” she told students at the rally.

The Chief Minister added, “35 lakh girls have been registered under Kanyashree. It is the No. 1 project for empowerment of girl child. We have increased the financial assistance under Sikkhashree scheme. We have allocated Rs 200 Cr for a merit cum means scholarship named after Swami Vivekananda.”

The BCW department has taken up a unique scheme to train up to 3000 local youths belonging to SC and ST to maintain and repair the bicycles that had been distributed. This will help them to become financially self reliant.

The Chief Minister hoped the current generation of students will produce more stalwarts like Rabindranth, Netaji or Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose.

 

ছাত্র-যুবরাই বাংলাকে সেরা বানাবেঃ মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

আজ শিলিগুড়িতে সবুজ সাথী প্রকল্পের অধীনে নবম শ্রেণীর ছাত্রছাত্রীদের সাইকেল বিতরণ করেন মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। আজ দুপুরে শিলিগুড়ি মার্গারেট সিস্টার নিবেদিতা হাই স্কুলের ময়দানে এই অনুষ্ঠানটি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

সবুজ সাথী প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে রাজ্যের সরকার পরিচালিত স্কুলগুলির নবম,দশম, একাদশ ও দ্বাদশ শ্রেণীর ছাত্রছাত্রীদের মধ্যে সাইকেল বিতরণ করা হয়। এই প্রকল্পের অধীনে ৮০০ কোটি টাকা খরচ করে মোট ৪০ লক্ষ সাইকেল দেওয়ার পরিকল্পনা হয়েছে। ইতিমধ্যেই রাজ্য সরকার দশম, একাদশ ও দ্বাদশ শ্রেণীর ছাত্রছাত্রীদের মধ্যে প্রায় ২৫০০০ সাইকেল বিতরণ করেছে।

এদিন প্রায় ১০০০০ সাইকেল শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে বিতরণ করা হবে। শিলিগুড়ি মহকুমায় মোট ১৮৫৪৬ সাইকেল বিতরণ করা হবে। পুজোর আগেই যতটা সম্ভব সাইকেল বিতরণ করা হবে।

সভা মঞ্চে বক্তব্য রাখার সময় মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন আজকের ছাত্র ও যুবসমাজ আগামীদিনের সমাজকে তৈরি করবে, তারাই বাংলাকে বিশ্বসেরা তৈরি করবে।

ছাত্রছাত্রীদের উদ্দেশ্যে তিনি বলেন, আমরা চাই ছাত্রছাত্রীরা নিজেদের পায়ে দাঁড়াক। তারা যেন কখনোও মনে খারাপ চিন্তাকে দানা বাঁধতে না দেয়।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, “প্রায় ৩৫ লক্ষ ছাত্রী কনাশ্রী প্রকল্পে আওতাভুক্ত হয়েছে। মেয়েদের ক্ষমতায়নের জন্য এটি দেশের এক নম্বর প্রকল্প। শিক্ষাশ্রী প্রকল্পে আমরা আর্থিক অনুদান বৃদ্ধি করেছি। স্বামী বিবেকানন্দের নামাঙ্কিত স্কলারশিপে জন্য বরাদ্দ অর্থের পরিমাণ ২০০ কোটি টাকা”।

অনগ্রসর কল্যাণ বিভাগ প্রায় ৩০০০ তপসিলি জাতি ও উপজাতির যুবকদের জন্য একটি প্রশিক্ষণ ব্যবস্থা চালু করেছে, এর মাধ্যমে তাদের বাইসাইকেল সারানোর প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হবে। এর মাধ্যমে তাদের স্বনির্ভর করে তোলা সম্ভব হবে।

তিনি আশা করেন, বর্তমান ছাত্র সম্প্রদায় থেকে আরেকজন নেতাজি, রবীন্দ্রনাথ, আচার্য জগদীশ চন্দ্র বসু উঠে আসবে।

Bengal has achieved a social revolution in child care sector under the state’s health system.

Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Bengal, which was 32 in 2011, has declined to 28 in 2014, as per the recent SRS data published in July, 2016.

Bengal has achieved the highest decline in the country in IMR as a big state, and has been appreciated with Trophy and Certificate of Merit in the National Summit on Best Practices and Innovations in Public Healthcare Systems in India, organized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India at Tirupati during 29-31st August, 2016.

The corresponding figures of IMR of the country as a whole are 44 in 2011 and 39 in 2014. Thus, Bengal is far ahead of the country as a whole in terms of this critical health parameter.

“This achievement is due to the hard work and dedication of Doctors, officials and workers of our health sector. We are committed to do much more work for the society. I congratulate my Health and other related departments,” Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said in the Facebook post.

 

শিশু কল্যাণের ক্ষেত্রে বাংলার মুকুটে নতুন পালক

শিশু কল্যাণে বাংলার মুকুটে নতুন পালক। ২০১১ সালে বাংলায় শিশু মৃত্যুর হার (আই এম আর) ছিল ৩২, সম্প্রতি ২০১৬ সালের জুলাই মাসে প্রকাশিত এসআরএস তথ্য অনুযায়ী, ২০১৪ সালে এই হার কমে দাঁড়িয়েছে ২৮য়ে।

শিশু মৃত্যুর হার কমার প্রবণতায় দেশের বড় রাজ্যগুলির মধ্যে শীর্ষে বাংলা। কেন্দ্রীয় স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার মন্ত্রণালয় দ্বারা আয়োজিত National Summit on Best Practices and Innovations in Public Healthcare Systems in India তে, যা ২৯-৩১ শে আগস্ট তিরুপতিতে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে, বাংলার এই কৃতিত্বকে সম্মানিত করা হবে।

সামগ্রিকভাবে দেশের আই এম আর ২০১১ সালে এই সংখ্যা ছিল ৪৪ এবং ২০১৪ সালে ছিল ৩৯। বাংলা এই ক্ষেত্রে অনেকটাই এগিয়ে।

A 21-member Chinese trade delegation on Monday expressed their interest to invest in seven different industrial sectors in the state. The delegation – consisting of chief executive officers, vice-presidents and managing directors of 13 different companies met the local business fraternities on a ‘Business to Business’ gathering to discuss trade and investments in Bengal.

On Monday, Bengal Commerce and Industries Minister Dr Amit Mitra met the Chinese delegates. “They are interested to invest in the sectors of coal machinery and equipments, metallurgy, mining, electrical, chemical productions, pharmaceutical and medical equipments, biological equipments, hydropower and real estate materials,” Dr Mitra said.

The Chinese delegation is interested in manufacturing, infrastructure, real estate and heavy machinery. The scenario of Bengal is business friendly and conducive for investment, the delegation thinks..

The Chinese Vice-President Li Yuanchao had met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in November 2015, and assured her to send a business delegation to the state.

“Chinese Vice-President had met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and at the time had assured her to send a business delegation. With a focus on investment, the 13 companies from China have come to explore business opportunities in Bengal, whose aggregated turnover is USD 10 billion,” said Dr Mitra, adding that a delegation comprising top bosses of ‘Fortune 500’ companies is set to visit the state in November this year.

Additionally, the Chinese delegation will have discussions with Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC) and also visit a manufacturing zone at Burdwan’s Panagarh to get exact knowledge of investment opportunities in the state.

“The Chinese delegation will visit the Matix factory at Panagarh. It will give them genuine knowledge of industrialisation in the state. As the first phase of its Panagarh urea plant is ready for commissioning, Matix Fertilizers plans to invest Rs 6,500 Cr in the second phase of the project,” the State Commerce and Industries minister said.

Dr Mitra said the Chinese companies have also shown their interest in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, which will be given support on behalf of the state government as per the industrial policy. The state has 6,000 acre of land in 23 industrial estates. “The huge trade deficit shows us that we should do more business with China,” Mitra added.

“We have invited the Chinese delegation to attend the Bengal Global Business Summit and I hope they will take a firm decision on investments in the state. Chinese do not take much time. Many countries take time to research, Chinese are not like those. They are always quick to grab the opportunities,” Dr Mitra said.

 

বাংলায় বিনিয়োগে আগ্রহী চিনের প্রতিনিধি দল

গতকাল চিন থেকে ২২ জনের একটি শিল্প প্রতিনিধি দল অমিত মিত্রের সঙ্গে বৈঠক করতে আসেন। বাংলায় শিল্পে বিনিয়োগের আদর্শ পরিবেশ তৈরী হয়েছে মমতা বন্দোপাধ্যায়ের আমলেই, জানালেন শিল্প বিনিয়োগের সম্ভাবনা খতিয়ে দেখতে আসা চীন প্রতিনিধি দলের নেতৃত্বে থাকা প্রতিনিধিরা।
চিন থেকে আসা প্রতিনিধিরা  জানান যে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ক্রমশ উন্নতি করেছে। আগের অবস্থার পরিবর্তন ঘটিয়ে রাজ্য বিনিয়োগের উপযুক্ত হয়ে উঠেছে।  রাজ্যের বিভিন্ন শিল্প সম্ভাবনা খতিয়ে দেখতে এসেছেন তারা।  রাজ্যের শিল্পমন্ত্রী  ডঃ অমিত মিত্র এই সভার প্রতিনিধিত্ব করেন। উপস্থিত ছিলেন অর্থ দফতরের বিভিন্ন আধিকারিকরা। চিন থেকে আসা প্রতিনিধি দলের পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সফর নিয়ে উত্সাহী রাজ্যের শিল্পপতি মহল।
ধাতু বিদ্যা, খনিজ সরঞ্জাম এবং উত্পাদন বিষয়ক বিভিন্ন খাতে বিনিয়োগের ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করেছেন দলটি।বাংলায় শিল্প বিনিয়োগের রূপরেখা তৈরী করতে তুমুল উত্সাহী  চিন। এই প্রতিনিধি দলকে উপযুক্ত জমি দেখতে পানাগড় নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়।দুদিন ব্যাপী এই সফরে তাদের চাহিদা অনুযায়ী ল্যান্ড ব্যাংকে থাকা বাকি জমিও দেখানো হবে। ১৩টি শিল্প সংস্থার ১৯ জন প্রতিনিধি এখানে আসেন। এই ১৩টি সংস্থার বার্ষিক আয় ১০০০ কোটি ডলারের বেশি। ফরচুন ৫০০ নথিভুক্ত কয়েকটি চীনা সংস্থাকে নিয়ে আগামী অক্টোবর মাসে এই প্রতিনিধিদল আবার আসবেন। সাংজি এনার্জি গ্রুপের পক্ষ থেকে জলবিদ্যুৎতে বিনিয়োগের আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে।
সিচুয়ান চানকে ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল কোম্পানি লিমিটেডের পক্ষ থেকে রাজ্যের সঙ্গে মৌ সাক্ষরে আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে। ক্রাউন ইনভেস্টমেন্ট কোম্পানি লিমিটেডের পক্ষ থেকে রিয়েল এস্টেটে স্থানীয় শিল্পপতিদের সঙ্গে চুক্তিতে আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে।

Domestic Airlines major Spicejet is going to start new flight services to Silchar, Aizawl, Guwahati, Gorakhpur and Vizag from the city starting October 4, just ahead of the Durga Puja festivals.

From December, the airline would start daily direct flight services from Kolkata to Dhaka and Chittagong in Bangladesh

This was announced after a meeting between the Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the SpiceJet Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Singh.

The Bengal Chief Minister requested the airline to consider connecting the eastern metropolis to Europe with direct flights.

Stating that Bengal is the gateway to north-east India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and even the ASEAN countries, she said the government will give all possible support.

The State finance minister Dr Amit Mitra said under a new state government policy, any additional or new flight from Kolkata would attract a 15-per cent tax on aviation turbine fuel, the lowest among all the metros. “The rate is 30 per cent but we have decreased it to 15 per cent. In Delhi, it is 20 per cent and in Mumbai, it is 25 per cent,” he added.

 

কলকাতা থেকে আরও নতুন বিমান পরিষেবা চালু করবে স্পাইসজেট

অক্টোবর থেকে বেশ কয়েকটি জায়গার সঙ্গে কলকাতাকে আকাশপথে জুড়ে দিচ্ছে স্পাইসজেট।

আগামী ৪ অক্টোবর থেকে কলকাতা-শিলচর, কলকাতা-গুয়াহাটি , কলকাতা-আইজল, কলকাতা-গোরক্ষপুর, কলকাতা-বাগডোগরা এবং কলকাতা-বিশাখাপত্তনম নতুন বিমান পরিষেবা চালু করতে চলেছে স্পাইসজেট।

গতকাল নবান্নে স্পাইসজেটের কর্মকর্তাদের সঙ্গে বৈঠক করেন মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। বৈঠকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন অর্থমন্ত্রী, মুখ্যসচিব, স্বরাষ্ট্র সচিব, অর্থ সচিব ও পরিহণ সচিব প্রমূখ।সেখানেই নতুন বিমান চালু করা নিয়ে কথা হয়।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী আরও জানান, কলকাতা থেকে ঢাকা-চট্টগ্রাম উড়ান পরিষেবা চালু করবে এই সংস্থা। কলকাতা-ব্যাংকক এর উড়ান সংখ্যাও বাড়ানো হবে। এছাড়া, কলকাতা থেকে ইউরোপ পর্যন্ত সরাসরি উড়ান পরিষেবা চালু করার জন্য আমরা স্পাইসজেটকে অনুরোধ করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, উত্তরপূর্ব ভারত, নেপাল, ভুটান, বাংলাদেশ সহ সব এশিয়ান কান্ট্রিগুলির গেটওয়ে বাংলা। পশ্চিমবঙ্গের অণ্ডাল ভারতের প্রথম গ্রিন ফিল্ড এয়ারপোর্ট।

স্পাইসজেটকে নতুন বিমান পরিষেবা চালানোর ব্যাপারে সমস্ত রকম সাহায্যের প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

শিল্পমন্ত্রী অমিত মিত্র জানান, নতুন/অতিরিক্ত বিমানগুলিকে ১৫% জ্বালানি কর দিতে হবে যা ভারতের মেট্রো শহরগুলির মধ্যে সবথেকে কম। তিনি আরও বলেন, করের হার ৩০ শতাংশ থেকে কমিয়ে ১৫ শতাংশ করা হয়েছে। দিল্লিতে এই করের হার ২০ শতাংশ এবং মুম্বাইতে এই করের হার ২৫ শতাংশ।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will set out for her three-day tour of north Bengal on Wednesday.

This is the third time Mamata Banerjee will be visiting north Bengal, after Trinamool Congress came to power for the second time with a land slide victory in the Assembly election in May.

The Chief Minister will attend a programme at Siliguri where she will be distributing bicycles among school goers under the Sabuj Sathi project.

After attending the programme in Siliguri, she will go to Kalimpong, and will be attending two separate programmes of the Tamang Board and Lepcha Board.

The people of Siliguri and Kalimpong are very eager to welcome the Chief Minister.

 

উত্তরবঙ্গ সফরে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

দ্বিতীয় বার ক্ষমতায় আসার পর তৃতীয়বারের জন্য মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় উত্তরবঙ্গ সফরে যাচ্ছেন। তিন দিনের সফরে তিনি শিলিগুড়ি ও কালিম্পঙে যাবেন।

উনি বুধবার বিকেলবেলা শিলিগুড়িতে একটি অনুষ্ঠানে অংশ নেবেন যেখানে তিনি স্কুলপড়ুয়াদের সবুজ সাথীর সাইকেল বিলি করবেন। তারপর তিনি কালিম্পঙ যাবেন।

কালিম্পঙে তিনি তামাং ও লেপ্চা বোর্ডের অনুষ্ঠানে অংশ নেবেন। শিলিগুড়ি ও কালিম্পঙের মানুষরা মুখ্যমন্ত্রীকে সাদর আমন্ত্রণ জানাতে অধীর আগ্রহে অপেক্ষা করছেন।

West Bengal finance minister Amit Mitra is likely to take up the issue of Centre’s “delayed clearance” to the second phase of a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), amounting to Rs 2,000 crore.

This, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, is “vital” to Bengal’s development and alleged continued “negligence” on the Centre’s part. The issue threatens to become the next flash point between the two governments.

The loan, said the state government, was approved by the board of ADB almost 11 months ago, after the completion of the first phase — in which West Bengal carried out a slew of “people-centric fundamental reforms.”

But while the Centre had approved the loan in the first phase, the proposal for the second installment is yet to be cleared 11 months after it was sent to the Finance Ministry’s department of Economic Affairs. In this time period, the state finance department had written a number of letters to the Centre.

“We have been waiting for the approval of the loan for months. The Government talks about pro-active governance, but in the case of West Bengal’s development, there is continued negligence,” Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said.

The second phase of the loan follows the “successful competition” of the first, in which the state government carried out reforms aimed at transparency and ease of governance.

West Bengal is the only state where payment is completely electronic. West Bengal was the first to use an RBI portal, e-Kuber. All this came out of the ADB’s first phase loan. Also, the State was given the highest award in e-taxation, integrated central finance and for use of information technology by the excise department under the e-abgari loan.

To honour her contributions to Bengali songs, Bengal government will confer this year’s ‘Banga Bibhushan’ to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday told reporters at the state Secretariat about the decision taken by her government.

“Lata Mangeshkar has sung innumerable memorable Bengali songs. To honour her contribution, we have decided to confer her with the Banga Bibhushan award this year. I have spoken to her and she has agreed to it,” CM Mamata Banerjee said.

The award will be conferred to Lata Mangeshkar after the Durga Puja, Banerjee said adding a letter in this regard has already been sent to the singer.

The Trinamool Congress government had started conferring Banga Bibhushan to eminent personalities for their contribution to various fields since 2011.

Several stalwarts like Amala Shankar, Manna Dey, Dwijen Mukhopadhyay, Supriya Debi, Sandhya Mukhopadhyay have been honoured with this award in the past.

 

লতা মঙ্গেশকরকে বঙ্গবিভূষণ রাজ্যের

এবার কিংবদন্তি লতা মঙ্গেশকরকে ‘বঙ্গবিভূষণ’ সম্মান দিচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকার৷ পুজোর পর মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় মুম্বইয়ে গিয়ে কোকিলকণ্ঠী শিল্পীকে সম্মানিত করবেন৷ আগেই এ ব্যাপারে শিল্পীর সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করেছিল রাজ্য সরকার৷

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী নিজেও তাঁর সঙ্গে কথা বলেন৷ শনিবার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী নবান্নে বলেন, “লতা মঙ্গেশকরের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করা হয়েছিল৷ আমি নিজেও যোগাযোগ করেছিলাম৷ উনি রাজি হয়েছেন৷ তাঁকে আমরা বঙ্গবিভূষণ সম্মানে ভূষিত করব৷”

ক্ষমতায় এসেই প্রবাদপ্রতিম শিল্পী মান্না দে-কে একইভাবে বেঙ্গালুরুতে গিয়ে সম্মান জানিয়েছিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী৷ মমতা শনিবার বলেন, “আজই আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে শিল্পীকে চিঠি পাঠানো হয়েছে৷”

২০১১ সালে ক্ষমতায় আসার পর থেকে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বঙ্গবিভূষণ ও বঙ্গভূষণ সম্মাননা প্রদানের রেওয়াজ চালু করেন। অমলা শঙ্কর থেকে শুরু করে সুপ্রিয়া দেবী, মান্না দে, দ্বিজেন মুখোপাধ্যায়, সন্ধ্যা মুখোপাধ্যায় ও অনেক কিংবদন্তি এই সম্মানে ভূষিত হয়েছেন।

Trinamool Congress on Sunday wrested the Behrampore municipality from the Congress after three decades. Seventeen councillors from INC joined Trinamool in the 28-member strong Behrampore municipality. Trinamool’s strength in the municipality now stands at 18.

Trinamool Youth Congress President and MP Abhishek Banerjee announced the joining of the Congress councilors at Trinamool Bhavan. He said that more councillors of the Congress from two other municipalities will soon join Trinamool Congress.

“People are accepting the ideology of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Congress councillors who joined the Trinamool said that they have full confidence in Banerjee for her initiative to develop the state,” he said.

The TMYC President said that Congress will be nowhere in Murshidabad as people believe that the TMC is the real Congress and Mamata Banerjee is the ideal leader. “The Congress has become a Marxist party,” he said. “The Congress’ decision to align with the CPI-M during the last Assembly polls had proved to be a political suicide as the rank and file of the Congress did not accept the alliance. By the end of this year, there would be no sign of political presence of Congress and CPI-M in Bengal, Abhishek said.

“While people have rejected this unholy alliance, those who are joining TMC want to be part of the development process started by Mamata Banerjee,” he said.

 

সকলেই মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের উন্নয়নের যজ্ঞে সামিল হতে চান: অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

দীর্ঘ তিন দশক পর গত রবিবার কংগ্রেসের হাত থেকে বহরমপুর পুরসভার দখল নিল তৃণমূল। তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি ও মাননীয় সাংসদ অভিষেক ব্যানার্জীর উপস্থিতিতে এদিন ১৭ জন কংগ্রেস কাউন্সিলর যোগ দেন তৃণমূলে। ২৮ সদস্যের এই পুরসভায় এই মুহূর্তে তৃণমূলের কাউন্সিলর সংখ্যা হল ১৮ জন।

অভিষেক ব্যানার্জি বলেন মুর্শিদাবাদ জেলার আরও দুটি পুরসভার আরো অনেক কংগ্রেস কাউন্সিলর খুব শীঘ্রই তৃণমূলে যোগ দেবেন।

তিনি জানান, মানুষ মমতা ব্যানার্জীর আদর্শে অনুপ্রাণিত। যে সকল কংগ্রেস কাউন্সিলর তৃণমূলে যোগ দিলেন তাদের পূর্ণ আস্থা আছে মমতা ব্যানার্জীর উন্নয়নমূলক কর্মযজ্ঞে।

অভিষেক বলেন, “মুর্শিদাবাদে কংগ্রেসের অস্তিত্ব থাকবে না, কারণ মানুষ বুঝে গেছেন তৃণমূল হল আসল কংগ্রেস ও মমতা ব্যানার্জী হলেন আদর্শ নেত্রী। কংগ্রেস সিপিএমের দোসরে পরিণত হয়েছে। বিধানসভা ভোটে কংগ্রেসের বামপন্থীদের সঙ্গে জোট করার নীতি আত্মঘাতী ছিল যা কংগ্রেসিরা গ্রহণ করেননি। সিপিআইএম ও কংগ্রেসের অস্তিত্ব বাংলা থেকে মুছে যাবে।”
