The state Technical Education department has taken up a major step in upgrading the ITIs. The project has been taken up with support from the World Bank.

A good number of ITIs are being selected for upgradation and the work has already started. It is learnt that in the first phase around 28 ITIs will be upgraded.

The upgradation of the ITIs includes setting up of smart class rooms along with high-speed internet connection which will ensure knowledge sharing through video conferencing.

It may be mentioned that in 2011 there were only 80 ITIs in the state where only 17,636 students used to get opportunity to undertake training every year. After the change of guard in the state, the Mamata Banerjee government has set up a total of 235 ITIs where 66,740 students can undertake different training courses.

Similarly, total number of polytechnic colleges has also increased. There were only 65 polytechnic colleges in the state in 2011 and now it has increased to 147 where 37,315 students can get admission in a year. Moreover, there are 289 advanced vocational training centres now in the state.

 

আইটিআইয়ের পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়ন পাখির চোখ রাজ্যের

বিশ্ব ব্যাঙ্কের সহায়তায় বেশ কয়েকটি আইটিআইয়ের পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়ন করবে রাজ্য কারিগরি শিক্ষা দপ্তর। প্রথম দফায় ২৮টি আইটিআইয়ের উন্নয়ন করা হবে।

এই পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নের মধ্যে রয়েছে স্মার্ট ক্লাসরুম তৈরী ও হাই স্পীড ইন্টারনেট পরিষেবার স্থাপন। এর মাধ্যমে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমেও পঠনপাঠন করতে পারবে ছাত্রছাত্রীরা।

প্রসঙ্গত ২০১১ সাল পর্যন্ত সারা রাজ্যে মাত্র ৮০টি আইটিআই ছিল, যেখানে মাত্র ১৭,৬৩৬ জন ছাত্রছাত্রী প্রতি বছর প্রশিক্ষণ নেওয়ার সুযোগ পেতেন। কিন্তু মাত্র ছ’বছরে রাজ্যে আইটিআইয়ের সংখ্যা বেড়ে হয়েছে ২৩৫টি, যেখানে ৬৬,৭৪০জন ছাত্রছাত্রী প্রশিক্ষণ নিতে পারেন বিভিন্ন কোর্সে।

২০১১ পর্যন্ত মাত্র ৬৫টি পলিটেকনিক কলেজ ছিল রাজ্যে, যা বেড়ে হয়েছে ১৪৭। ৩৭,৩১৫জন ছাত্র প্রতি বছর এখানে পড়ার সুযোগ পায়। এছাড়া এই মুহূর্তে রাজ্যে ২৮৯টি পেশামূলক শিক্ষা কেন্দ্র আছে; রাজ্য সরকার এইরকম কেন্দ্র ব্লকে ব্লকে গড়তে চায়।

As an indication of the importance that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her Trinamool Congress Government places on the tourism sector, public funding in the sector, according to a senior official of Tourism Department, has gone up from Rs 35 crore to Rs 400 crore in the past six years.

Bengal is gifted with all the necessary elements for making it a preferred destination for travellers from around the world.

As a consequence of this increase in funding, Bengal has witnessed a 20 per cent growth in its tourist population. The state has one of the best hotel occupancy rates in India. Kolkata has 3,000 high-end hotel rooms with a phenomenal occupancy rate of 70 per cent. During the Durga Puja this year, Bengal saw about 2,000 foreign visitors.

Currently some major tourism projects are coming up in Gajoldoba in north Bengal and Jharkhali in the Sundarbans. A convention centre is coming up in Digha.

To promote the state’s tourist spots, the State Government regularly takes part in national and international tourism fairs and conventions, like Travel East and others.

বাংলায় পর্যটন ক্ষেত্রে পাবলিক ফান্ডিং ছ’বছরে বেড়ে হয়েছে ৪০০ কোটি

পর্যটন দপ্তরের এক আধিকারিকের বক্তব্য অনুযায়ী বাংলায় পর্যটন ক্ষেত্রে পাবলিক ফান্ডিং ছ’বছরে বেড়ে হয়েছে ৪০০ কোটি। এর থেকেই বোঝা যায় পর্যটনের বিকাশের প্রতি কতটা দায়বদ্ধ মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নেতৃত্বাধীন পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার।

পর্যটনের প্রসারের জন্য সবকটি উপাদানই রয়েছে বাংলায়। উত্তরে হিমালয় থেকে শুরু করে দক্ষিণে সাগর, রাঙামাটি থেকে ঐতিহাসিক স্থাপত্য – কি নেই বাংলায়? পাবলিক ফান্ডিং বৃদ্ধির ফলে বাংলায় পর্যটকদের সংখ্যা ২০% বেড়েছে। হোটেল পূর্ণ করণেও দেশে এগিয়ে বাংলা।
দুর্গাপুজো উপলক্ষে এবছর রাজ্যে এসেছিলেন ২০০০ এরও বেশি বিদেশী পর্যটক।

এই মুহূর্তে রাজ্যে দুটি বৃহৎ পর্যটন প্রকল্প চলছে – উত্তরে গাজলডোবা ও দক্ষিণে ঝড়খালিতে। দীঘাতে তৈরী হচ্ছে আন্তর্জাতিক মানের কনভেনশন সেন্টার। পর্যটনের প্রসারের জন্য দেশি-বিদেশী অনেক পর্যটন মেলাতেও অংশগ্রহণ করছে রাজ্য সরকার।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today addressed a special international session at the 2017 edition of Horasis Asia Meeting, Asia’s foremost gathering of senior leaders from businesses and governments.

It is being co-hosted by the Bengal Government and the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

This is the first time that this prestigious business summit is being held in India. Horasis is a Zurich-based think tank. About 350 delegates from 65 countries, other than from India are participating in the event.

Highlights of the Chief Minister’s speech:

Bengal is progressing like never before. It is emerging as the industrial destination.

Six and half years ago, the 34-year old Left Front rule came to an end. During their rule, perception about Bengal was not good; but now it has changed.

Our work culture has changed. Earlier, the mandays lost was about 78 lakh. Now it is absolutely zero. There are no strikes in Bengal. We maintain best of relations with the industry, working class and the people at large.

In Bengal, we have our own infrastructural facilities. We have built flyovers, bridges, power stations. From social sector to health, education sector to youth, agriculture to industry sector – we are surging ahead.

You will be happy to know, in the parameter of ‘ease of doing business’, Bengal was earlier ranked 30. Three years ago, the rank improved to 15. Now, we are third in India. Out of 372 parameters, we have fulfilled 336 and in a few months we will fulfill the rest.

We are facing a legacy and it takes time to undo it. I believe, there is no substitute to hard work, dedication, devotion, sincerity, punctuality. We have the vision, the mission and we show it in our action.

We met the Chairman of Horasis in Munich and they had made a commitment to come to India. But why will you choose Bengal? Strategically, geographically, economically, politically, Bengal is safe and sound.

Bengal is a gateway to south-east Asia. From here you can expand your business to Bangladesh – our neighbouring country, who we love so much. From Bengal you can expand to the eight north-eastern States. You can reach Bhutan and Nepal also. They are just half-an-hour away via flight from Bengal. There is easy access to Thailand, Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur.

Bengal believes in unity and togetherness – people of all castes, creed, religions live here in peace. We believe there can never be any geographical boundary for art or culture.

Advantage of Bengal is our skill, our talented young generation. The new generation is our asset. I am proud of our young generation. In skill development, we are No. 1 for four years. In small scale industries, we are No. 1 in India. We have started e-services in every sphere.

Our industrial growth is not bad. We are trying. GDP growth rate of India for 2016-17 was 7.1%. The GSDP growth of Bengal was 9.1%. In the industry sector also, India’s growth rate was 5.6%, and that of Bengal was 7.2%.

Bengal has the potential. We have lent investable capital to the tune of Rs 1.82 lakh crore. When we came in our GDP was 4.5 lakh crores. It has doubled. Our revenue earnings has doubled now. We have created 81 lakh new employment in six years and more than 100 crore mandays.

Bengal has several advantages – a strategic location, geographical advantage, peaceful situation in the State. We have best of relations with bordering countries. In Bengal, we are all united. We do not believe in divisive politics.

We have the land bank. We do not capture land forcefully. We have land map and land use policy. We have a surplus power bank. We give all facilities and support to the industry.

We have recently hosted the Under-17 FIFA World Cup football. The quarter final, semi final and final matches were held in Kolkata. FIFA showered us with praises for the superb and excellent arrangement.

In Bengal, we are committed to social empowerment also. Ninety per cent people in the State receive direct benefits from the State. We take care of the poor and disadvantaged people. This year, our flagship ‘Kanyashree’ scheme for the empowerment of girls, received the first prize at UN Public Service Award.

We have set up 46 new multi super speciality hospitals within six years. We have set up Mother and Child Hubs. We give free cycles, books and scholarships to the students.

If you want to invest, enough scope is there in every sector – engineering, jute, textile, servicing, IT, mining, transportation, agricultural marketing, manufacturing. We have deep forests, deep sea, even the Hills. There is enough scope for tourism. If you invest in Bengal, you will definitely go for re-investment.

I will request all the delegates present here to come and join the Bengal Global Business Summit on 16-17 January 2018. More than 30 countries are coming to this summit. We have set up an international convention centre, an eco-tourism park. Even a Financial Hub has been set up.

We believe in sweet relations with the industry. Our captains of industry will tell you the advantages of doing business in Bengal. We can take concrete decisions for investments in Bengal at the Bengal Global Business Summit in January.

My earnest request to you is that do not forget Bengal. Make this State your ultimate destination.

 

শিল্প গড়ার সুবিধা – ৩০ থেকে ৩ নম্বরে উঠে এসেছে বাংলা: মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

শিল্পের বিষয়ে সুইজারল্যান্ডের আন্তর্জাতিক ‘থিঙ্ক ট্যাঙ্ক’, হোরাসিস ভারতে তাদের প্রথম এশিয়া সম্মেলন করছে। এই সম্মেলন শুরু হয় কাল। এই বৈঠক হচ্ছে কলকাতায়, যা নিঃসন্দেহে রাজ্যের শিল্পে লগ্নি সম্ভাবনার ক্ষেত্রে এক বিরাট উদ্দীপকের কাজ করবে। বিশেষ করে আর দেড় মাস পরেই যখন বিশ্ব বঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলন।

সম্মেলনের দ্বিতীয় দিনে আজ একটি বিশেষ সেশনে মূল বক্তা ছিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

এই সম্মেলনে ৬৫টি দেশের ৩৫০র বেশী কর্পোরেট লিডাররা যোগ দিচ্ছেন, যারা প্রতিষ্ঠাতা, মালিক, ম্যানেজিং ডিরেক্টর, প্রেসিডেন্টের মত মর্যাদাসম্পন্ন।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশ:

বাংলায় এখন পরিবর্তন এসেছে। শিল্পের গন্তব্য হয়ে উঠেছে বাংলা – এখানে রয়েছে শিল্পের জন্য উন্নততর পরিকাঠামো।

৩৪ বছরের বাম শাসনের পর বাংলায় পরিবর্তন এসেছে। বাম আমলে শিল্প নিয়ে দৃষ্টি ভঙ্গিতে গলদ ছিল, এখন তার পরিবর্তন হয়েছে।

আমাদের কর্মসংস্কৃতির পরিবর্তন হয়েছে। আগে ৭৮ লক্ষ শ্রম দিবস নষ্ট হয়েছে, এখন এই সংখ্যা শূন্য। এখন বাংলায় কোন বনধ হয়না। আমরা শিল্পপতি থেকে শ্রমিক – সব শ্রেণির মানুষের সঙ্গে সুসম্পর্ক বজায় রেখে চলি।

বাংলায় আমাদের সবরকম পরিকাঠামো রয়েছে। আমরা ফ্লাইওভার, সেতু, পাওয়ার স্টেশন নির্মাণ করেছি। সামাজিক খাত থেকে স্বাস্থ্য, শিক্ষা, কৃষি, শিল্প – সব ক্ষেত্রেই আমরা এগিয়ে চলেছি।

শিল্প গড়ার সুবিধার মাপকাঠিতে(ease of doing business) দেশের মধ্যে আগে বাংলার স্থান ছিল ৩০ নম্বরে। তিন বছর আগেও বাংলার স্থান ছিল ১৫ নম্বরে। আপনারা জেনে খুশি হবেন, এখন দেশের মধ্যে বাংলার স্থান তৃতীয়। ৩৭২টি প্যারামিটারের মধ্যে আমরা ৩৩৬টি পূরণ করেছি, কয়েক মাসের মধ্যেই আমরা বাকিগুলোও পূরণ করব।

আমি বিশ্বাস করি কঠোর পরিশ্রম, ডেডিকেশন, নিষ্ঠা, আন্তরিকতার কোন বিকল্প হয় না। আমাদের ভিশন ও মিশন আমরা আমাদের কাজের মাধ্যমে দেখাই।

আমরা মিউনিখে হোরেসিসের সভাপতির সাথে সাক্ষাত করেছিলাম এবং তারা ভারতে আসার প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলেন। কেন আপনারা বাংলাকে বেছে নেবেন? কারণ, কৌশলগতভাবে, ভৌগোলিকভাবে, অর্থনৈতিকভাবে, রাজনৈতিকভাবে বাংলা সেফ অ্যান্ড সাউণ্ড।

বাংলার দক্ষিণ-পূর্ব এশিয়ার গেটওয়ে। এখান থেকে বাংলাদেশে ব্যবসা প্রসারিত করতে পারবেন। বাংলা থেকে উত্তর পূর্বের ৮ টি রাজ্যে ব্যবসা প্রসারিত করতে পারবেন। এমনকি নেপাল ও ভুটানেও ফ্লাইটের মাধ্যমে মাত্র আধ ঘণ্টায় পৌঁছে যাওয়া যায়। বাংলা থেকে থাইল্যান্ড, মালয়েশিয়া এবং কুয়ালালামপুরে সহজেই পৌঁছে যেতে পারবেন।

বাংলা একতা ও ঐক্যবদ্ধতায় বিশ্বাস করে – সকল সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষ এখানে শান্তিতে বাস করে। আমরা বিশ্বাস করি শিল্প বা সংস্কৃতির কোনও ভৌগোলিক সীমানা নেই।

দক্ষতা বিকাশে এক নম্বরে বাংলা। বাংলায় অনেক মেধা আছে। তরুণ প্রজন্ম আমাদের সম্পদ, ওদের জন্য আমি গর্বিত। গত ৪ বছরে দক্ষতা বিকাশে বাংলা ১ নম্বরে। ক্ষুদ্র ও মাঝারি শিল্পে বাংলা ১ নম্বরে। আমরা প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রে ই-পরিষেবা চালু করেছি।

আমাদের ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল গ্রোথ খারাপ নয়। আমরা চেষ্টা করছি। ২০১৬-১৭ তে ভারতের জিডিপি বৃদ্ধির হার ছিল ৭.১% আর বাংলার জিএসডিপি বৃদ্ধির হার ছিল ৯.১%। শিল্পের ক্ষেত্রেও, ভারতের বৃদ্ধির হার ছিল ৫.৬% এবং বাংলার বৃদ্ধির হার ছিল ৭.২%।

বাংলায় প্রচুর সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে। আমরা ১.৮২ লক্ষ কোটি টাকা বিনিয়োগযোগ্য মূলধন ঋণ দিয়েছি। আমরা যখন ক্ষমতায় আসি, রাজ্যের জিডিপি ছিল ৪.৫ লক্ষ কোটি টাকা, এখন তা দ্বিগুন হয়েছে। আমাদের রাজস্ব আয় দ্বিগুন বেড়েছে। আমরা ৬ বছরে ৮১ লক্ষ নতুন কর্মসংস্থান তৈরি করেছি, ১০০ কোটির বেশী শ্রমদিবস তৈরি করেছি।

বিনিয়োগের জন্য বাংলার অনেক সুবিধা আছে – অবস্থানগত এবং ভৌগলিক সুবিধা, শিল্পবান্ধব ও শান্তিপূর্ণ পরিবেশ, পার্শ্ববর্তী দেশগুলোর সঙ্গে সুসম্পর্ক। আমরা বিভাজনের রাজনীতিতে বিশ্বাসী না।

আমাদের ল্যান্ড ব্যাঙ্ক আছে। আমরা বলপূর্বক জমি অধিগ্রহণ করি না। আমাদের ল্যান্ড ম্যাপ ও সুনির্দিষ্ট জমি নীতি আছে। আমাদের অতিরিক্ত বিদ্যুৎ ব্যাঙ্ক আছে। আমরা পরিকাঠামোগত সবরকম সাহায্য করতে প্রস্তুত।

কিছুদিন আগেই ফিফার অনূর্ধ্ব ১৭ ফুটবল বিশ্বকাপ অনুষ্ঠিত হল কলকাতায়। কোয়ার্টার ফাইনাল, সেমি ফাইনাল ও ফাইনাল ম্যাচ কলকাতায় হয়। ফিফা কর্তৃপক্ষ আমাদের আয়োজনের ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেছেন।

শিল্পের পাশাপাশি বাংলায় আমরা সামাজিক ক্ষেত্রেও নজর দিই। রাজ্যের ৯০ শতাংশ মানুষ বিভিন্ন প্রকল্পের সরাসরি সুবিধা পান। গরীব ও পিছিয়ে পড়া মানুষদের উন্নয়নের প্রতি আমরা দায়বদ্ধ। মেয়েদের উন্নয়নের জন্য আমাদের চালু করা কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প এবছর জন পরিষেবার জন্য রাষ্ট্রসংঘের প্রথম পুরস্কার পেয়েছে।

গত ৬ বছরে ৪৬টি সুপার স্পেশ্যালিটি হাসপাতাল গড়েছি আমরা। মাদার ও চাইল্ড হাব তৈরী করেছি। আমরা বিনামূল্যে সাইকেল, বই দিই ছাত্রছাত্রীদের। বিভিন্ন স্কলারশিপের সুবিধাও পায় তারা।

এখানে উপস্থিত সকল অতিথিকে আগামী ১৬-১৭ই জানুয়ারী ২০১৮য় অনুষ্ঠিত হতে চলা বিশ্ব বঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলনে আসার জন্য আহ্বান জানাচ্ছি। ৩০টিরও বেশি দেশ থেকে অতিথিরা আসবেন। আমরা একটি আন্তর্জাতিক মানের কনভেনশন সেন্টার গড়েছি। একটি ইকো-ট্যুরিজম পার্ক তৈরী হয়েছে এখানে। একটি ফিনান্সিয়াল হাবও তৈরী করা হয়েছে।

বাংলায় বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে বিনিয়োগের সম্ভাবনা বিপুল। কারিগরি, পাট, বস্ত্র, পরিষেবা, তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি, খনি, পরিবহন, কৃষি বিপণন – সব ক্ষেত্রেই অনেক সম্ভাবনা। আমাদের জঙ্গল, সমুদ্র, পাহাড় – সব আছে। পর্যটন ক্ষেত্রেও বিশাল সুযোগ। একবার বাংলায় বিনিয়োগ করলে, নিজেরাই পুনরায় বিনিয়োগ করবেন।

আমরা শিল্পপতিদের সাথে সুসম্পর্ক রেখে চলি। এখানে উপস্থিত আমার ‘ক্যাপ্টেন্স অফ ইনডাস্ট্রি’রাই আপনাদের বলবেন তাদের বাংলায় ব্যবসা করার অভিজ্ঞতা। আগামী বিশ্ব বঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলনে আসুন, সেখানেই বিনিয়োগ নিয়ে সিদ্ধান্ত নেবেন।

Bengal puts up stellar show at Singapore FinTech Festival

The Singapore FinTech Festival, which was held from November 13 to 17, has turned out to be a golden opportunity for the information technology (IT) sector in Bengal.

Bengal is among the top centres in financial technology (fintech, in short) in India. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress Government has taken a lead in reaping the huge talent that the state has in IT.

A 27.738-acre plot, consisting of 15 smaller plots in the range of 0.248 to 4.5 acres, is being developed in New Town, on the outskirts of Kolkata, as a hub for fintech companies.

The cluster for the fintech companies, with plug-and-play infrastructure, is at a strategic location, being at a stone’s throw-distance from Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Nazrul Tirtha, Business Club and Seniors’ Park.

All these factors have led to Bengal being invited to the Singapore FinTech Festival. And they were highlighted during a presentation by the State Government on November 13.

The Bengal pavilion set up at the festival contains attractive posters highlighting the progress made by the State IT Department under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the last six years.

বাংলার তথ্যপ্রযুক্তিকে সিঙ্গাপুরে প্রদর্শন

ফিনান্সিয়াল টেকনোলোজি কিংবা ফিনটেকে বিশ্বের নজর কাড়ছে বাংলা। এরাজ্যে ফিনটেকের যে পরিমাণ ব্যবহার শুরু হয়েছে, তাতে আগামী দিনে শুধু দেশ কেন, বিশ্বকেও পথ দেখাতে চলেছে বাংলা।

সিঙ্গাপুরে নভেম্বরের ১৩-১৭ তারিখ হয়ে গেল ফিনটেক ফেস্টিভ্যাল। রাজ্য তথ্যপ্রযুক্তির বিস্তারের জন্য যেভাবে কাজ করেছে, তাঁর জন্য এই ফেস্টিভ্যালে জায়গা পেল রাজ্য। ফিনটেকে বাংলার যে বিপুল সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে সেই কথাই তুলে ধরলেন রাজ্যের তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি দপ্তরের অতিরিক্ত মুখ্য সচিব।

তথ্যপ্রযুক্তিকে ছড়িয়ে দিতে যেভাবে নিউটাউনকে গড়ে তলা হয়েছে, তাতে আগামী দিনে এই জায়গাই সারা দেশের মধ্যে প্রথম হয়ে উঠতে পারে।

ইতিমধ্যেই নিউটাউনে ফাইনান্সিয়াল হাবের জন্য বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে জমি, যেখানে এখন পর্যন্ত ২৩টি ব্যাঙ্ক তাদের জায়গা পেয়েছে। নিউটাউনে গড়ে তলা হয়েছে কনভেনশন সেন্টার। এছাড়াও সেক্টর ফাইভে যেভাবে তথ্যপ্রযুক্তির জন্য সুযোগ দেওয়া হয়েছে, সেটাও তুলে ধরা হয় এই মেলায়।

The 17th edition of Natya Mela will be inaugurated today at 5 pm at Rabindra Sadan. With the inspiration of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, this event is being organised by the Information and Cultural Affairs Department of the Bengal Government.

The plays will be staged at: Rabindra Sadan, Madhusudan Mancha, Girish Mancha, Sisir Mancha, Minerva Theatre, Paschimbanga Natya Academy grounds and Mukto Mancha.

A special exhibition on ‘Professional Theatre Post-independence’ is being held at Rabindra Sadan on the occasion.

Natya Mela is open for all.

আজ থেকে শুরু নাট্য মেলা

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের অনুপ্রেরণায় পশ্চিমবঙ্গ নাট্য আকাদেমির উদ্যোগে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি বিভাগের আয়োজনে আজ শুরু হচ্ছে সপ্তদশ নাট্য মেলা। এই মেলাতে পরিবেশিত হবে পূর্ণ দৈর্ঘ্যের নাটক, স্বল্প দৈর্ঘ্যের নাটক, অন্তরঙ্গ থিয়েটার, নাটকের গান, মূকাভিনয়, লোকনাট্য ও পুতুল নাটক।

মেলা চলবে আগামী ৪ঠা ডিসেম্বর পর্যন্ত। যে যে প্রেক্ষাগৃহে এই নাট্য মেলার নাটকগুলি পরিবেশিত হবে, সেগুলি হল: রবীন্দ্রসদন, মধুসূদন মঞ্চ, গিরিশ মঞ্চ, শিশির মঞ্চ, মিনার্ভা থিয়েটার, তৃপ্তি মিত্র নাট্যগৃহ, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ নাট্য আকাদেমি প্রাঙ্গণ ও মুক্তমঞ্চ।

আজ এই মেলার উদ্বোধন হবে বিকেল ৫টায়, রবীন্দ্রসদন প্রেক্ষাগৃহে। এই মেলার অংশ হিসেবে রবীন্দ্রসদনে আয়োজন হয়েছে একটি প্রদর্শনীরও। বিষয় হল, স্বাধীনতা-উত্তর পেশাদার রঙ্গমঞ্চ।

এই মেলায় জনসাধারণের প্রবেশ অবাধ।

The Bengal Agriculture Department is going to set up a platform through which farmers can interact directly with government officials and convey the problems they are facing.

The department is going to organise Krishi Melas in every district from November 25 to December 25. At these fairs, among other things, officials will interact with farmers to know whether they are getting all sorts of benefits on time and whether they are facing any problems. In case a problem relates to any other department, it will be conveyed to the concerned department. Farmers can also give suggestions to the officials.

According to an official, it will be of great help for farmers as their problems will be solved within a short time span and they would not have to suffer due to lack of suggestions.

 

কৃষিমেলায় কৃষকদের সঙ্গে আলোচনার জন্য তৈরী হবে মঞ্চ

কৃষকের সঙ্গে আলোচনা করেই কৃষিকাজ এগিয়ে নিয়ে যেতে চায় কৃষি দপ্তর। সে কারণেই এবার ব্লকে ব্লকে কৃষিমেলায় কৃষকদের সঙ্গে আলোচনার জন্য মঞ্চ তৈরী হবে। যেখানে কৃষকরা তাঁদের মতামত দেবে। তাঁদের পরামর্শ, অভাব অভিযোগ, সমস্যা শুনেই সমাধানের পথ বের করবে কৃষিদপ্তর।

কৃষকদের প্রাধান্য দিয়েই কাজ করা হবে বলে কৃষিমন্ত্রী জানিয়েছেন। তিনি বলেন, ২৫ নভেম্বর থেকে ব্লকে ব্লকে কৃষিমেলা শুরু হবে। সেখানে কৃষকদের কাছ থেকে মতামত ও পরামর্শ নেওয়া হবে। প্রতি মেলার জন্য খরচ হবে ২ লক্ষ ২০ হাজার টাকা। আমরা চাই, কৃষকদের মতামত নিয়েই বাংলার কৃষিক্ষেত্রে অগ্রগতি হোক। কৃষকদেরও উন্নতি চান মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। উল্লেখ্য, গত বছর এই মেলার জন্য খরচ ধরা হয়েছিল ১ লক্ষ ৮০ হাজার টাকা। এবার সেই বরাদ্দ বাড়ানো হয়েছে।

এবার শিলাবৃষ্টিতে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছেন ৩২ লক্ষ ৯ হাজার কৃষক। মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নির্দেশে ১১৮১ কোটি ৩৯ লক্ষ টাকা ওই ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত কৃষকদের দেওয়া হবে। সেই সঙ্গে বন্যায় দক্ষিণবঙ্গের ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত কৃষকদের জন্য ৩১৪ কোটি এবং উত্তরবঙ্গের কৃষকদের জন্য ৬৬১ কোটি টাকা বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে।

কৃষকদের সার, বীজ দেওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে যাতে কোনও গড়িমসি না হয়, তার জন্য নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন কৃষিমন্ত্রী। কৃষকদের কৃষিকাজে যাতে ব্যাংকের তরফে সবরকম সাহায্য করা হয়, তার জন্য অনুরোধ করা হয়েছে।

Led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the Maa-Mati-Manush Government in Bengal has completed 500 days in service of the people in the second term.

Besides implementing developmental works in all sectors, the present Government has taken numerous decisions which have been hailed by people.

Here are some of major developmental initiatives during the last 500 days:

• Formation of new districts like Kalimpong, Jhargram and West Midnapore, East Bardhaman and West Bardhaman.
• Bengal’s Kanyashree scheme received the United Nations Public Service Award.
• New Police commissionerates in Hooghly formed.
• Samarthan Scheme was launched for demonetisation hit traders
• Successful organisation of FIFA U-17 World Cup including the semi-final and the Final match
• Popular ‘Ekushe Annapurna’ scheme is being extended to the districts.
• Bengal government is providing free software to small traders for filing goods and services tax (GST) returns.
• Bengal is number one in rice production in the country at present. In 2016-17, 1 crore 60 lakh 70 thousand metric tonnes were produced.
• ‘Khajna’ tax on agricultural land has been abolished.
• Bengal Government has decided to sanction paid maternity leave for all categories of female contractual employees engaged directly by the State Government.
• 12 more medical colleges will be set up in the state by 2021.
• The State has been awarded ‘Krishi Karman Award’ by Government of India in 2016, consecutively for 4th year in a row.
• Under the programme “Universalization of Soil Health Card for the farmers” 13 lakh Soil Health Cards (SHC) have been distributed till end of November, 2016.
• The coverage under Bangla Fasal Bima Yojana has gone up from 10•09 lakh farmers in kharif 2015 to 32•40 lakh farmers in kharif, 2016.
• 165 Krishak Bazars have been completed till date and they are being operationalised for optimum utilisation of assets.
• During the financial year 2016-17 (from April to December) an amount of Rs.522 crore has been spent and 446•985 KM road length has been constructed under Gramin Sadak Yojana.
• 10 new Government Polytechnics and one Government Sponsored Polytechnic were operationalized in 2016. WIFI connectivity has been done in 47 Polytechnics.
• ‘Safe Drive Save Life’ has picked up tremendous momentum towards greater road safety.
• A new scheme named ‘Baitarani’ has been undertaken to renovate the cremation ghats of the Hindus.
• Three Development Authorities, viz., Bakreswar Development Authority, Patharchapuri Development Authority and Mukutmanipur Development Authority have been created.

 

দ্বিতীয় মা মাটি মানুষ সরকারের ৫০০ দিন

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নেতৃত্বে দ্বিতীয় মা মাটি মানুষ সরকারের ৫০০ দিন পূর্ণ হল। উন্নয়নের পাশাপাশি সাধারণ মানুষের জন্য প্রচুর জনমুখী সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে এই সরকার।

দেখে নেওয়া যাক গত ৫০০ দিনে নেওয়া কিছু উন্নয়নমূলক কর্মসূচীঃ-

  • হুগলী জেলায় নতুন পুলিশ কমিশনারেট তৈরী।
  • নোট বাতিলে ক্ষতিগ্রস্তদের জন্য সমর্থন প্রকল্প।
  • সফল ভাবে অনূর্ধ্ব-১৭ ফিফা বিশ্বকাপ প্রতিযোগিতা সঞ্চালনা।
  • দুর্গা পুজো, দীপাবলি ও ছট পুজোতে বিশেষ ফুড প্যাকেজ বিতরণ।
  • ‘একুশে অন্নপূর্ণা’ প্রকল্প এবার পৌঁছে গেছে জেলায় জেলায়।
  • জিএসটি রিটার্ন জমা দেওয়ার জন্য ছোট ব্যাবসায়ীদের বিনামূল্যে সফটওয়্যার প্রদান।
  • ধান উৎপাদনে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ দেশের মধ্যে শীর্ষে। ২০১৬-১৭ অর্থবর্ষে ১.৬ কোটি মেট্রিক টন ধান উৎপাদন হয়েছে।
  • কৃষিজমির ওপর খাজনা মকুব করেছে রাজ্য সরকার।
  • রাজ্য সরকারের সমস্ত চুক্তিভিত্তিক মহিলা কর্মীরা পুরো বেতন পাবেন মাতৃত্বকালীন ছুটির সময়।
  • ২০২১ সালের মধে রাজ্যে নতুন ১২টি মেডিক্যাল কলেজ খোলার পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হচ্ছে।
  • ২০১৬ সালে চতুর্থবার রাজ্য পেয়েছে কৃষি কর্মন পুরস্কার।
  • ২০১৫ সালের (১০.০৯ লক্ষ) তুলনায় ২০১৬ সালের (৩২.৪০ লক্ষ) খারিফ মরশুমে বাংলা ফসল বিমা যোজনার আওতায় এসেছে অনেক বেশী কৃষক।
  • এখন পর্যন্ত ১৬৫টি কৃষক বাজার তৈরি হয়েছে। এর মধ্যে ১৪৯টি কৃষক বাজার মূলত ধান উৎপাদন কেন্দ্র হিসেবে কাজ করে।
  • ২০১৬ সালের এপ্রিল থেকে ডিসেম্বরের মধ্যে গ্রামীণ সড়ক যোজনায় ৫২২ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে ৪৪৬.৯৮৫ কিঃ মিঃ রাস্তা নির্মাণ হয়েছে।
  • ১০টি নতুন সরকারি পলিটেকনিক এবং ১টি সরকারি স্পন্সর্ড পলিটেকনিক চালু হয়েছে ২০১৬ সালে।
  • ‘সেফ ড্রাইভ সেভ লাইফ’ কর্মসূচীতে উন্নতমানের পথ নিরাপত্তা প্রদান করার লক্ষ্যে বিপুল অর্থ ব্যয় করা হয়েছে ট্রাফিক যন্ত্রপাতি, রোড ফার্নিচার, রোড ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং ও সিসিটিভিতে।
  • শ্মশানগুলি সংস্কারের জন্য শুরু হয়েছে বৈতরণী প্রকল্প।

1. Bengal is back on the map. We are growing in every sector, whether it is GDP, ease of doing business, agriculture or industry. Despite a legacy of 34 years, we are moving ahead.

2. Historically, irrespective of which party is in power, the Centre has given priority to western Indian States. We are not begging. We want what is rightfully ours. On the one hand, there is a State with 47 ports while our request for permission to build two ports in Bengal is falling on deaf ears.

3. There is no cooperative federalism in the country now. It is ‘super emergency’ now. The Centre is telling industrialists not to invest in Bengal. Democracy is finished.

4. Industrialists are under threat. More than 12,000 farmers have died. The media is under the scanner and cannot raise its voice. In fact, a section of the Delhi-based media has become His Master’s Voice for the BJP.

5. I do not have any personal vendetta against anyone. It is our responsibility to collectively fight for issues concerning the people. We must work together for the greater interest.

6. The BJP has no chance in Bengal. They only have a propaganda machinery and sponsored social media. They believe in divide and rule. They incite riots because they cannot fight us politically.

7. When I am on the chair, I work for all. It is wrong to say there is appeasement of minorities in Bengal. It is a propaganda by the BJP and a section of the national media. I am proud of the people of Bengal. The festive season passed off peacefully without any untoward incident.

8. We inherited a huge legacy of debt from the Left. Yet, we doubled our GDP and revenue earnings. We are running so many social schemes despite the debt. I have personally met the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister for the restructuring of debt of not just Bengal but other States too.

9. Narendra Modi is behaving like Tughlaq. They listed three targets for demonetisation – recovering black money, stopping terrorist activities and bringing in transparency. They have failed on all three counts. Even GST was passed hurriedly. Amit Mitra’s voice was not heard in the GST Council.

10. They conducted elections in Bengal by imposing curfew and Section 144. In Gujarat, Central forces, state forces and various agencies are all working together.

11. I have not changed at all. Politics is not a piece of cloth that you change three times a day. I am always with the people. Their trust matters the most in a democracy.

12. Today, union ministers are busy in expanding their party in different States. There is no development. This government believes only in bhashan, not action. They gave funds towards flood relief to BJP-ruled States but Bengal did not receive a penny.

13. The Centre, with their MP from the region, played a dirty game in the Hills. A conspiracy was hatched based on a rumour. Now peace has returned to the Hills.

14. Our ideology has always been pro-people, come what may. We are ready to go to jail; we won’t do any ‘understanding’ with them (BJP).

15. In Bengal, the income of farmers has doubled in six years. We have given employment to 81 lakh people. More than 100 crore man-days have been created. Despite non-cooperation by the Centre, we are focussed on growth in infrastructure. Bengal will lead the country in future.

 

 

কনক্লেভ ইস্ট ২০১৭’য় কি বললেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী? দেখে নিন

 

১. উন্নয়ন ও প্রগতির পথে এগোচ্ছে বাংলা। জিডিপি থেকে শুরু করে ease of doing business, শিল্প, কৃষি সবেতেই এগিয়ে বাংলা। গত ৫-৬ বছরে বাংলার অভূতপূর্ব উন্নতি হয়েছে।

২. রাজনৈতিক দল নির্বিশেষে কেন্দ্র পশ্চিম ভারতীয় রাজ্যগুলিকে প্রাধান্য দিয়েছে। আমরা কেউ ভিক্ষা চাইছি না। আমরা আমাদের অধিকার দাবি করছি। একটা রাজ্যে ৪৭ টি বন্দর রয়েছে আর আমরা ২ টি বন্দর গড়তে অনুমতি চাইছি, কিন্তু ওরা পাত্তাই দিচ্ছে না।

৩. দেশে এখন ‘সুপার এমারজেন্সি’ চলছে। কেন্দ্র শিল্পপতিদের বাংলায় বিনিয়োগ করতে বারণ করছে। দেশের গণতন্ত্র ধ্বংস হয়ে গেছে।

৪. শিল্পপতিদের ভয় দেখানো হচ্ছে। ১২০০০ এর বেশি কৃষক প্রাণ হারিয়েছে। সংবাদমাধ্যমও চাপের মধ্যে রয়েছে যাতে ওরা কথা বলতে না পারে। এমনকি, সংবাদমাধ্যমের একাংশ বিজেপির মুখপাত্রতে রূপান্তরিত হয়েছে।

৫. ব্যক্তিগতভাবে আমার কারো ওপর কোন রাগ নেই। মানুষের স্বার্থে আমাদের একসাথে কাজ করতে হবে। বৃহত্তর স্বার্থে আমাদের একজোট হতে হবে।

৬. বিজেপি বাংলায় কোন জায়গা করে নিতে পারবে না। ওরা শুধু সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় কুৎসা ও অপপ্রচার করে। ওরা বিভাজনের রাজনীতিতে বিশ্বাস করে। ওরা আমাদের সঙ্গে রাজনৈতিকভাবে লড়াই করতে পারে না তাই ওরা দাঙ্গা লাগায়।

৭. আমি যেহেতু মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর চেয়ারে বসি আমার দায়িত্ব সকলের জন্য কাজ করা। বাংলায় সংখ্যালঘুদের তোষণ করা হচ্ছে এটা ভুল ধারণা। এটা বিজেপি এবং সংবাদমাধ্যমের একটা অংশের অপপ্রচার। আমি বাংলার মানুষের জন্য গর্বিত। কোনও রকম অপ্রীতিকর ঘটনা ছাড়াই উত্সবের দিনগুলো শান্তিপূর্ণভাবে কেটেছে।

৮. বাম আমলের বিপুল ঋণের বোঝা আমাদের ওপর। তা সত্ত্বেও আমরা আমাদের জিডিপি ও রাজস্ব দ্বিগুন করেছি। বিপুল আর্থিক বোঝা থাকা সত্ত্বেও আমরা সব সামাজিক প্রকল্পগুলি চালু রেখেছি। আমি ব্যক্তিগতভাবে প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও অর্থমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে দেখা করেছি এবং
শুধু বাংলা নয় অন্য রাজ্য গুলির বিপুল ঋণের বোঝা লাঘব করার কথা বলেছি।

৯. নরেন্দ্র মোদী মহম্মদ বিন তুঘলকের মতন আচরণ করছেন। নোট বাতিলের তিনটি উদ্দেশ্য ছিল – কালো টাকা ফেরত আনা, সন্ত্রাসী কার্যকলাপ বন্ধ এবং স্বচ্ছতা। সব ক্ষেত্রেই ওরা ব্যর্থ হয়েছে। এমনকি জি এস টি তাড়াহুড়ো করে পাশ করানো হয়েছে। জি এস টি কাউন্সিল বৈঠকে অমিত মিত্রর বক্তব্য কেউ শোনেনি।

১০. ওরা ১৪৪ ধারা জারি করে নির্বাচন করিয়েছে বাংলায়। গুজরাতে কেন্দ্রীয় বাহিনী, রাজ্যের বাহিনী এবং বিভিন্ন সংস্থাগুলি একসঙ্গে কাজ করছে।

১১. আমি একদমই বদলাইনি। রাজনৈতিক আদর্শ জামাকাপড়ের মত সকাল, বিকেল, সন্ধ্যে বদলানো যায় না। আমি মানুষের পাশে আছি। তাদের আস্থা জয় করাটাই আমার কর্তব্য।

১২. কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রীরা উন্নয়নের কাজ না করে রাজ্যে রাজ্যে নিজেদের দলের বিস্তার করে বেড়াচ্ছেন। এই সরকার কাজ করে না, শুধু ভাষণ দেয়। ওরা বিজেপি শাসিত রাজ্যগুলিকে বন্যাট্রনের জন্য টাকা দিল, কিন্তু বাংলা কানাকড়িও পেল না।

১৩. পাহাড়ে কেন্দ্র, ও তাদের ওখানকার সাংসদ, নোংরা রাজনীতি করেছে। গুজব রটিয়ে পাহাড়ে আগুন লাগানোর চক্রান্ত হয়েছে। এখন পাহাড়ে শান্তি ফিরে এসেছে।

১৪. মানুষের পক্ষে থাকাটাই আমাদের আদর্শ। আমরা জেলে যেতেও প্রস্তুত কিন্তু ওদের সাথে কোনও আপস করব না।

১৫. গত ছয় বছরে বাংলার কৃষকদের যায় দ্বিগুন হয়েছে। আমরা ৮১ লক্ষ কর্মসংস্থান করেছি। ১০০ কোটি শ্রমদিবস সৃষ্টি করা হয়েছে বাংলায় আমাদের আমলে। কেন্দ্রের চরম অসহযোগিতা সত্ত্বেও আমরা পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নে জোর দিচ্ছি। আগামী দিনে বাংলাই দেশ কে পথ দেখাবে।

The condition of farmers in Bengal now is a far cry from the Left Front days. Over the last six years, the average annual income of farmers has increased by more than 2.5 times. From Rs 91,011 during financial year (FY) 2010-11, it has become Rs 2,39,123 during 2016-17 – an increase by 2.63 times.

This is the result of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s thrust to the agriculture sector, a sector on which the majority of the people depend. For six years in a row, the latest being in 2017, the Bengal Government has received the Krishi Karman Award for highest production in different crops.

The biggest reason for the success in agriculture is the mapping of the soil introduced by the Trinamool Congress Government. As a result, farmers know exactly what to sow when. Then, the government is regular about buying at from farmers at minimum support price (MSP). It is building more warehouses, which is enabling much higher storage capacities of various crops, and hence higher buying capacities by the government.

Not just that, on Mamata Banerjee’s instructions, compensation is paid promptly to farmers whose crops are affected by natural disasters.

বাম আমলের তুলনায় রাজ্যে কৃষকের আয় বেড়েছে আড়াই গুণ

বিগত বাম আমলের তুলনায় মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের আমলে কৃষকের আয় আড়াই গুণ বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে।

আর্থিক সমীক্ষায় জানা গিয়েছে, ২০১০-’১১ আর্থিক বছরে একজন কৃষকের বার্ষিক গড় আয় ছিল ৯১ হাজার ১১ টাকা। ছ’বছর বাদে অর্থাৎ ২০১৬-’১৭ সালে সেই কৃষকেরই বার্ষিক গড় আয় বেড়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে ২ লক্ষ ৩৯ হাজার ১২৩ টাকা।

কৃষকদের আয় বাড়ানোই মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের প্রধান লক্ষ্য। সেই কারণেই কৃষিজমিতে বহু ফসলি চাষের উপরে জোর দেওয়া হয়েছে। অনাবাদী জমিতেও চাষের উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়েছে। কৃষিতে বিশেষ জোর দিয়েছে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের সরকার। কৃষকদের বিনা পয়সায় বীজ, সার এবং যন্ত্রপাতি দিচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকার। আবার বাংলার ফসল বিমা যোজনায় কৃষকদের প্রিমিয়াম দিচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকার। যা আর কোনও রাজ্য করেনি।

মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নির্দেশে বন্যায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত কৃষকদের আর্থিকভাবে সাহায্য করা শুরু হয়েছে। এ বছর বরাদ্দ হয়েছে ১,১৮১ কোটি টাকা। নানাভাবে কৃষকদের পাশে দাঁড়িয়েছে এই সরকার। তার ফলে কৃষকদের আয় বেড়েছে বলে রাজ্যের কৃষিমন্ত্রী দাবি করেন। এই মুহূর্তে রাজ্যে প্রায় ৭১.২৩ লক্ষ কৃষক রয়েছেন, তার মধ্যে ৯৬ শতাংশ ক্ষুদ্র ও প্রান্তিক কৃষক।

উৎপাদিত পণ্যের পরিমাণ বেড়ে যাওয়ায় কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের কাছ থেকে পরপর ছ’বার কৃষিকর্মণ পুরস্কার পেয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার। ধান উৎপাদনে অগ্রণী ভূমিকায় রয়েছে এই রাজ্য। ডাল, ভুট্টা, তৈলবীজ উৎপাদনে অন্য রাজ্যকে পিছনে ফেলে দিয়েছে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ।

কৃষকদের আয় বাড়ানোর উদ্দেশ্যই হল, গ্রামীণ অর্থনীতির উন্নয়ন করা। আর সে কারণেই গ্রামীণ পরিকাঠামোকে উন্নত করার জন্য নানা পরিকল্পনা করা হয়েছে। ১০০ দিনের কাজকে গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হচ্ছে। বাংলার গ্রামীণ সড়ক যোজনা প্রকল্পে রাস্তার হাল ভালো করা হয়েছে। জমিতে জল সরবরাহের ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে। কৃষিযন্ত্র কৃষকদের হাতে তুলে দেওয়ার জন্য ফিনান্সিয়াল সাপোর্ট স্কিম ফর ফার্ম মেকানাইজেশন (এফএসএসএম) প্রকল্প চালু হয়েছে। এমনকী কৃষি যন্ত্র ভাড়া দেওয়ার কেন্দ্র চালু হয়েছে। ওই কেন্দ্র চালুর জন্য কৃষি দপ্তরকে প্রকল্প ব্যয়ের ৪০ শতাংশ অনুদান দিচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকার।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday made a scathing attack on the Centre for not taking up the issue of the tea gardens. She was speaking at the administrative review meeting of three districts — Alipurduar, Cooch Behar and Jalpaiguri — at Uttarkanya on Wednesday afternoon.

“What have they done to the tea gardens? Central ministers had assured before the election that seven tea gardens would be taken over. They won the polls but did not keep their word. We always keep our promises. We spent Rs 40,000 crore to repay loans. But despite financial constraint, we have taken up so many projects and successfully implemented them,” she said.

Mamata Banerjee asked the officials to take measures to end drinking water scarcity at the tea gardens. “We have always stood beside the tea garden workers and will continue to do so in future,” she maintained.

Two state ministers, Subrata Mukherjee (Panchayat and Rural Development) and Aroop Biswas (PWD and Youth Services and Sports) along with Chief Secretary and two additional Chief Secretaries along with a host of principal secretaries were present at the meeting. The Director General of Police and senior officials of these three districts and MLAs, Sabhadhipatis and Panchayat pradhans also attended the meeting.

চা বাগানের উন্নয়ন নিয়ে কেন্দ্রকে তোপ মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর

গতকাল উত্তরকন্যায় তিনটি জেলার – আলিপুরদুয়ার, জলপাইগুড়ি ও কুচবিহার – আধিকারিকদের নিয়ে একটি প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এই বৈঠকে চা বাগানের উন্নয়ন নিয়ে কেন্দ্রকে আক্রমণ করেন তিনি।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, চা বাগানগুলির জন্য কি করেছে কেন্দ্র? নির্বাচনের আগে কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রীরা বলেছিলেন সাতটি চা বাগান তারা অধিগ্রহণ করবেন। সেই প্রতিশ্রুতি তারা পূরণ করেননি। আমরা কথা দিয়ে কথা রাখি। বাম সরকারের ঋণ শোধ করতে আমাদের ৪০০০০ কোটি টাকা কেটে নিয়ে গেছে। কিন্তু আমরা কোনও প্রকল্প বন্ধ করিনি, উন্নয়নের কাজও বন্ধ হয়নি।

তিনি আধিকারিকদের নির্দেশ দেন চা বাগানে পানীয় জলের সমস্যা মেটানোর জন্য। “আমরা চা বাগানের কর্মীদের পাশে ছিলাম, এবং তাদের উন্নয়নের জন্য ভবিষ্যতেও কাজ করব,” বলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

এদিনকার বৈঠকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন পঞ্চায়েত ও গ্রামোন্নয়ন মন্ত্রী সুব্রত মুখোপাধ্যায়, যুবকল্যাণ ও ক্রীড়া মন্ত্রী অরূপ বিশ্বাস, মুখ্যসচিব, বিভিন্ন দপ্তরের আধিকারিকরা, রাজ্যের ডিজি, তিন জেলার বিধায়ক, পঞ্চায়েত প্রধান, সভাধিপতি প্রমুখ।
