Come to Bengal, invest in Bengal – this was the gist of the message given by the Bengal Finance and Industry Minister, Dr Amit Mitra to top representatives from 31 advanced nations, including 15 ambassadors, in Delhi recently.

The message he carried from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was one of golden opportunities for people wanting to invest in Bengal to set up facilities in any category of industry. Bengal is already a leader in the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector, and is gradually drawing bigger investors.

This conference was in preparation for the fourth Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS), scheduled for January 16-17, 2018. Over the years, the BGBS summits, a brainchild of Mamata Banerjee for attracting investment in Bengal, after the 34-year industrial drought during the Left Front era, have been a huge hit, with memoranda of understanding (MoU) worth hundreds of crores of rupees signed every year.

Towards that aim, the State Government is also going to organise a road show in Delhi soon.

At the 2017 BGBS, representatives from 29 countries in Europe, USA and Asia attended. The 2018 summit is going to be jointly organised by the Bengal government and the industry body, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

At the Delhi summit, Dr Mitra offered a bouquet of opportunities for anyone wanting to set up, singly or jointly, industrial facilities in any sector. Among the ambassadors were those from Singapore, the Netherlands, Russia, Finland, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Hungary, Israel, Bulgaria, Bhutan and Norway, and among the other countries senior representatives were those from Australia and Thailand.

All of them became very interested after learning of the multiple opportunities being offered by the Bengal Government, and showed a keen interest in investing in the state.

 

৩১ দেশের প্রতিনিধিদের সামনে বাংলায় বিনিয়োগের সম্ভাবনা

 

‘বাংলায় আসুন। বাংলায় বিনিয়োগ করুন’। এই বার্তা নিয়ে দিল্লীতে বিশ্বের প্রথম সারির ৩১দেশের উচ্চপর্যায়ের প্রতিনিধিদের সামনে বক্তব্য রাখেন রাজ্যের অর্থমন্ত্রী অমিত মিত্র। এরপরে দিল্লীতে একটি রোড শো-র আয়োজন করা হয় রাজ্যের তরফে।

মূলত আগামী ১৬-১৭ জানুয়ারি কলকাতায় অনুষ্ঠিত চতুর্থ বিশ্ব বাংলা বাণিজ্য সম্মেলনে যোগ দেওয়ার পাশাপাশি বর্তমান সরকারের আমলে এ রাজ্যে কীভাবে বিনিয়োগের বহু সম্ভাবনা তৈরি হয়েছে সেগুলিই তুলে ধরেন অমিত মিত্র। প্রসঙ্গত, ২০১৭ সালের বেঙ্গল গ্লোবাল বিজনেস সামিটে ইউরোপ, আমেরিকা এবং এবং এশিয়া মহাদেশের মোট ২৯টি দেশ অংশ নিয়েছিল। দিল্লীতে যে ৩১ দেশের প্রতিনিধিদের সঙ্গে অমিত মিত্র বৈঠক করেন তাঁদের মধ্যে অন্তত ১৫জন রাষ্ট্রদূত পদমর্যাদার প্রতিনিধি।

সিঙ্গাপুর, নেদারল্যান্ডস, রাশিয়া, ফিনল্যান্ড, সৌদি আরব, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, হাঙ্গেরি, ইজরায়েল, বুলগেরিয়া, ভুটান এবং নরওয়ের মতো দেশগুলি বাংলায় বিনিয়োগ নিয়ে এতটাই উৎসাহিত যে ভারতে নিযুক্ত তাঁদের রাষ্ট্রদূতদেরই এদিন পশ্চিমবঙ্গের অর্থমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে বৈঠকে আসার নির্দেশ দিয়েছিল। এ ছাড়াও অস্ট্রেলিয়া, থাইল্যান্ডের মতো দেশগুলি পাঠিয়েছিল তাঁদের উচ্চপদস্থ আধিকারিকদের।

এদিনের বৈঠকে অমিত মিত্র তুলে ধরেন বাংলায় বিনিয়োগ করলে রাজ্য সরকারের তরফে কি কি ক্ষেত্রে কি ধরনের সুযোগসুবিধে প্রদান করা হবে তা নিয়ে। সেই সঙ্গে তিনি তুলে ধরেন রাজ্যে কোন কোন ক্ষেত্রে বিনিয়োগের প্রচুর সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে। এর পর ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল ডেভেলপমেন্ট কর্পোরেশনের ম্যানেজিং ডিরেক্টর রাজ্যে বিনিয়োগের ক্ষেত্র, তার সম্ভাবনা এবং রাজ্যের তরফে সাহায্য ও যাবতীয় পরিকাঠামোগত সুবিধে নিয়ে বানানো একটি প্রেজেন্টেশনও দেখান সকলকে।

২০১৮ সালের বেঙ্গল গ্লোবাল বিজনেস সামিটে রাজ্য সরকারের পাশাপাশি বণিক সংগঠন ফিকি-ও যৌথভাবে উদ্যোক্তার ভূমিকায় রয়েছে। উপস্থিত ছিলেন ফিকি’র সেক্রেটারি জেনারেল। পশ্চিমবঙ্গের শিল্প ও বাণিজ্য সচিবও বিদেশী প্রতিনিধিদের কাছে তার দপ্তরের সহযোগিতার কথা তুলে ধরেন। দেশের অন্যান্য বহু শহরে যেখানে শিল্পবান্ধব পরিবেশের যথেষ্ট অভাব রয়েছে, সেখানে বাংলার তরফে সমস্ত ধরনের সুযোগসুবিধের ডালি নিয়ে বিদেশী রাষ্ট্রগুলির প্রতিনিধিদের কাছে উপস্থাপনের ফলে তারাও যথেষ্ট উৎসাহ পেয়েছেন।

Selfie zones to capture the mood of tourists – yes, that is the plan by the State Government. These selfie zones would be set up at the various arrival and departure points, that is, at the airports in Kolkata and Andal, and at the Howrah, Sealdah, Kolkata and Shantiniketan stations.

These have the blessing of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who has gone all out to promote social and cultural tourism in the state.

The zones would be set up at the places adorned by beautiful posters of tourist spots in Bengal, so that friends and acquaintances would know which place a person recently visited as well as advertise the place for potential tourists. People would also be able to take selfies by placing their faces against certain cutouts, for example, masks used in chhau dance, etc.

The government would also set up help desks at the airports and prominent railway stations.

The government has plans to spread the word about cultural tourism and heritage tourism in the state through social media. People posting the pictures taken at the selfie zones on their profile pages would advance that cause.

 

এবার বিমানবন্দর ও স্টেশন চত্বরে থাকছে অভিনব ‘সেলফি জোন’

 

বিমানে ওঠার আগের সেলফি জানিয়ে দেবে আপনি কোথায়। ছবির ‘ব্যাকড্রপ’ বুঝিয়ে দেবে আপনার মনোভাব। ফুটে উঠবে পুরুলিয়ার ছৌনাচ, টয়ট্রেনের অচেনা ছবি থেকে শুরু করে ‘ভালবাসি বাংলা’ ক্যাপশনও। ফেসবুকের বন্ধুরা জেনে যাবেন, বাংলা নিয়ে আপনার ভালবাসা, গর্ব কতখানি। দমদম ও বাগডোগরা বিমানবন্দরে এমনই অভিনব ‘সেলফি জোন’-এর সুযোগ এনে দিল রাজ্য সরকার। খুব শীঘ্রই এমনই সেলফি জোন চালু হচ্ছে হাওড়া, শিয়ালদহ, শান্তিনিকেতন ও কলকাতা স্টেশন ছাড়াও দুর্গাপুরের অন্ডাল বিমানবন্দরেও।

সেলফি জোনের পাশাপাশি বিমানবন্দর ও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রেলস্টেশনে ‘হেল্প ডেস্ক’ পরিষেবাও চালু করছে রাজ্য পর্যটন দপ্তর। যখন কেউ কলকাতা ছেড়ে যাবেন তখন সেলফির ছবিতে ফুটে উঠবে জীবনানন্দের সৃষ্টি– “আবার আসিব ফিরে/ধানসিড়িটির তীরে/এই বাংলায়..।” যখন কেউ আবার কলকাতা বিমানবন্দরে পা রাখবেন তখন তাঁকে স্বাগত জানাবে গানে গানে রাজ্য সরকারের ট্যাগ লাইন– ‘এসো এসো আমার ঘরে এসো/এই বাংলায়।’

তবে দিন কয়েক আগে থেকে বাগডোগরায় জ্বলজ্বল করছে বাংলা ও ইংরাজি দুই ভাষায় একটি স্লোগান। ঘন নীল আকাশের বুকে রুপোলি রেখায় কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘার অপূর্ব অবয়ব তুলে ধরে ক্যাপশন লেখা, ‘ভালবাসি বাংলা’ আর ‘উই লাভ বেঙ্গল’। খুশি মনে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর ছবি দেওয়া এই জোনে ছবি তোলার ঢল নেমেছে বাগডোগরায়। মাত্র কয়েকদিনেই সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় হাজার হাজার পোস্ট বলছে, উত্তরবঙ্গের কয়েক হাজার মানুষ এই সেলফি জোনে দাঁড়িয়ে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর সিদ্ধান্তকে অকুণ্ঠ সমর্থন করেছেন।

রাজ্য সরকারের এমন অভিনব উদ্যোগ নিয়ে স্বয়ং পর্যটন রাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী বলেছেন, “বৈচিত্রময় বাংলাকে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া মারফত গোটা বিশ্বে ছড়িয়ে দেওয়ার এমন সুযোগ হাতছাড়া করতে চাননি মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। তাই কালচারাল-টুরিজম, হেরিটেজ-টুরিজম শীর্ষক ক্যাপশনে রাজ্য সরকার সম্পূর্ণ নতুন আঙ্গিকে বিমানবন্দর ও রেলস্টেশন হাজির করছে।”

The State Government is now extending the popular ‘Ekushe Annapurna’ scheme of food servings to the districts. They are available from the Annapurna mobile outlets run by the Bengal Government agency, Benfish, and come at just Rs 21 – hence the name. They are available from 12 pm to 3 pm.

‘Ekushe Annapurna’ is the brainchild of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Each plate consists of a 50 gram (g) piece of fish, 100 gms rice, 75 g masoor dal and 50 g vegetables.

Now the government has decided to extend the availability of these delicious and popular servings to the districts. Twenty-one mobile vans are run in Kolkata. Now the government would run 29 more vans, in different district towns.

Besides the price, the close scrutiny on the quality of the foods is also a reason for the huge success.

 

জনপ্রিয় একুশে অন্নপূর্ণা এবার জেলায় জেলায়

 

মাত্র একুশ টাকা৷ তাতেই মিলছে ডাল, ভাত, তরকারি, মাছ৷ কলকাতায় ব্যপক জনপ্রিয়তা অর্জনের পর, এবার জেলায় জেলায় ছুটবে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের এই স্বপ্নের আহার৷ দ্রব্যমূল্য বৃদ্ধির বাজারে যা ভরসা দিয়েছে মাছে-ভাতে বাঙালিকে৷

কী থাকে অন্নপূর্ণার থালায়? মৎস্য দপ্তরের উদ্যোগে একুশ টাকায় এখানে পাওয়া যায় ৫০ গ্রাম ওজনের একটি মাছ, ১০০ গ্রাম ভাত, ৭৫ গ্রাম মুসুর ডাল ও ৫০ গ্রাম সবজি৷ ডালহৌসি, ধর্মতলা, গড়িয়া সহ শহরের একাধিক জায়গায় ঘোরে বেনফিশের এই ‘অন্নপূর্ণা’ গাড়ি৷ দুপুর ১২টা থেকে ৩টে পর্যন্ত এই গাড়ির সামনে দাঁড়ালেই মেলে খাবার৷

Till September 22, the State Backward Classes Welfare Department is running a special scheme to benefit people belonging to the backward classes in Bengal.

The scheme, named ‘Pariseba’, was started a few days back, and is meant to be a pre-Puja gift for the less privileged people of the state.

Through the special beneficiary distribution scheme, bicycles, modern sophisticated instruments for agriculture and educational equipment will be distributed amongst the backward classes in all the 341 blocks.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has launched numerous government schemes since coming to power in 2011. Almost every strata of society and every age group, from children to old people, have been covered by the various schemes. Some like Kanyashree and Nirmal Bangla have even won international acclaim.

 

 

অনগ্রসর শ্রেণীর জন্য বিশেষ ‘পরিষেবা’ প্রকল্প রাজ্যের

 

আগামী ২২শে সেপ্টেম্বর পর্যন্ত রাজ্য অনগ্রসর শ্রেণী উন্নয়ন দপ্তর অনগ্রসর শ্রেণীর মানুষদের জন্য একটি বিশেষ প্রকল্প চালাচ্ছে।

এই প্রকল্পের নাম দেওয়া হয়েছে পরিষেবা, অনগ্রসর শ্রেণীর মানুষের জন্য রাজ্য সরকারের একপ্রকার পুজোর উপহার। এই প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে ৩৪১টি ব্লকে অনগ্রসর শ্রেণীর মানুষদের সাইকেল, কৃষিকাজের অত্যাধুনিক যন্ত্রপাতি, শিক্ষার সামগ্রী বিতরণ করা হচ্ছে।

২০১১তে ক্ষমতায় আসার পর মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় প্রচুর প্রকল্প চালু করেছেন। সমাজের প্রতি স্তরের, সকল বয়সের প্রায় সকলকেই কোনও না কোনও প্রকল্পের আওতায় আনা হয়েছে। কন্যাশ্রী ও নির্মল বাংলা প্রকল্প অর্জন করেছে আন্তর্জাতিক স্বীকৃতি।

Bengalis are synonymous with their love for fish. Bengalis are also synonymous with their love for football. Then, there is the Under-17 World Cup and Durga Puja at our doorsteps. Combining all these interests, the State Fisheries Development Corporation (SFDC) has decided to open stalls.

The stalls would be set up at a few prominent pandals – Lebutala Park, Lake Town, Durga Puja organised by women in Tollygunge, Baghbazar and a few other places. Both cooked and uncooked items would be available.

The stalls would have a football-themed décor – a picture of a stadium, green grass, gallery and players’ dressing room. Each would have three divisions, in going with the three giants of the Maidan, and of Indian football as well – Mohun Bagan, East Bengal and Mohammedan Sporting.

The menu in each of these spaces would be themed on the food associated with the clubs – chingri (prawns) associated with Mohun Bagan, ilish (hilsa) associated with East Bengal mughlai cuisine with Mohammedan Sporting. In concurrence with the 11 players in a team, each menu would have 11 items.

SFDC also has grand plans to open restaurants selling various delicious fish dishes as well as frozen fish in cities across India which have big Bengali populations. Bengaluru and Ranchi are first on the list. From January, Delhi, Jodhpur and Bilaspur are expected to be added to the list.

 

পুজোর প্যান্ডেলে ফুটবল থিমের স্টল খুলবে মৎস্য দপ্তর

সব খেলার সেরা বাঙালির তুমি ফুটবল। আর ফুটবলের পাশাপাশি বাঙালীর আরেক ভালবাসা হল মাছ। পুজো পেরোলেই অনূর্ধ্ব ১৭ বিশ্বকাপ ফুটবল অনুষ্ঠিত হবে কলকাতায়। এই কথা মাথায় রেখে রাজ্য মৎস্য দপ্তর সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে পুজোর সময় স্টল খোলার।

কয়েকটি নামকরা প্যান্ডেলে এই স্টলগুলি করা হবে যেমন লেবুতলা পার্ক, লেক টাউন, মহিলাদের আয়োজন করা টালিগঞ্জের দুর্গাপুজো, বাঘবাজার এবং আরও কয়েকটি জায়গায়। রান্না করা ও কাঁচা দুরকম পদই পাওয়া যাবে এখানে।

এই স্টলগুলি ফুটবলের থিমেই সাজানো হবে, যেমন স্টেডিয়ামের ফটো, সবুজ ঘাস, গ্যালারি ও ড্রেসিং রুম। প্রতি স্টলে থাকবে তিনটি ভাগ, ময়দানের তিন প্রধান দলের সম্মানে – মোহনবাগান, মহামেডান ও ইস্টবেঙ্গল। প্রতিটি ভাগে থাকবে সেই বিভাগের থিম মেনু, যেমন মোহন বাগানের স্টলে থাকবে চিংড়ি, মোঘলাই থাকবে মহামেডান স্টলে, তেমনই ইলিশের পদ পাওয়া যাবে ইস্ট বেঙ্গল স্টলে। যেহেতু একটা দলে থাকে ১১ জন খেলোয়াড়, সেই কথা মাথায় রেখে প্রতি ভাগে পাওয়া যাবে ১১ ধরনের পদ।

The Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress Government has decided that, despite the immense pressure on it on account of having to repay the huge debts accumulated by the Left Front Government, it would continue with the special food packages for the people of Jangalmahal and the Hills.

Besides rice and wheat at Rs 2 per kg, the State Government supplies more than double the amount supplied to the other regions of the state for the people of these regions – 11 kg per person per month against 5 kg in the other areas. Everyone, irrespective of economic condition, is eligible for getting subsidised rice and wheat in these two regions.

Whereas 42 lakh people in Jangalmahal are supplied with rice and wheat through the ration system (public distribution system, or PDS), in the Hills, the number is 8 lakh 75 thousand.

The five districts of Paschim Medinipur, Jhargram, Purulia, Bankura and Birbhum comprise Jangalmahal, whereas Darjeeling and Kurseong subdivisions of Darjeeling district and Kalimpong district comprise the Hills region.

The State Government also provides special packages in a few other regions which would also continue – 16 kg of rice and wheat per person per month through PDS to the Cyclone Aila-affected people in the Sundarbans and the farmers who lost land in Singur as a result of the illegal acquisition, 35 kg of rice and wheat per family through PDS to the families of tea garden workers, and 5 kg of rice and wheat per person per month for free to members of the Toto tribe in north Bengal.

জঙ্গলমহল ও পাহাড়ে ‘স্পেশাল ফুড প্যাকেজ’ চালিয়ে যাবে রাজ্য

বিপুল ভর্তুকির দায় বহন করতে হলেও জঙ্গলমহল ও পাহাড়ের ‘স্পেশাল ফুড প্যাকেজ’ চালিয়ে যাবে রাজ্য সরকার। রাজ্যের এই দু’টি এলাকায় সব বাসিন্দাকে দু’ টাকা কেজি দরে চাল-গম সরবরাহ করা হয়। শুধু তাই নয়, অন্য জায়গার তুলনায় দ্বিগুণের বেশি পরিমাণ খাদ্যসামগ্রী এখানে দেওয়া হয়।

জঙ্গলমহলে ৪২ লক্ষ মানুষকে রেশনের সস্তার চাল-গম সরবরাহ করা হয়। পাহাড়ে এই সংখ্যা ৮ লক্ষ ৭৫ হাজার। পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর, বাঁকুড়া, বীরভূম, পুরুলিয়া এবং ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলার ৩১টি ব্লক জঙ্গলমহলের মধ্যে পড়ে। পাহাড়ের মধ্যে পড়ে দার্জিলিং জেলার দার্জিলিং এবং কার্শিয়াং মহকুমা ও কালিম্পং জেলা। জঙ্গলমহল ও পাহাড় ছাড়া কিছু বিশেষ শ্রেণির জন্য অতিরিক্ত খাদ্যসামগ্রী দেয় সরকার। সেই প্যাকেজও চলবে। সুন্দরবনের আইলা বিধ্বস্ত এলাকার সব রেশন গ্রাহকদের জন্য পরিবার পিছু মাসে ১৬ কেজি করে চাল-গম দেওয়া হয়। সম পরিমাণ খাদ্যসামগ্রী পান সিঙ্গুরের জমিহারা পরিবারগুলি। উত্তরবঙ্গের টোটো উপজাতির লোকেদের বিনামূল্যে মাসে মাথাপিছু পাঁচ কেজি করে চাল-গম দেওয়া হয়। চা বাগানের শ্রমিকদের মাসে পরিবার পিছু ৩৫ কেজি করে চাল-গম দেওয়া হয় রেশনের মাধ্যমে।

After success with export to the Middle East, the Bengal Government has now decided to move ahead and expand the market for its vegetables, to include Europe and USA.

The Food Processing and Horticulture Department had started exporting vegetables to the Middle East, which includes the Gulf countries, in August 2016. There has been a big success with respect to lady’s fingers, beans, chillies and ridge gourds.

The best of these is grown in Bankura district, and that too, organically, that is, without the use of any chemical fertilizers. More areas in the western part of Bengal have been identified for growing vegetables with high potential for export. Whatever help in the form of irrigation and the requirement of organic fertilizers is required would be provided by the State Government.

Every day, about 2.5 tonnes are exported over flights to the Middle East, but even that is not enough to satisfy the demand, such is the quality of the vegetables. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is trying her best to get airlines to start direct flights between Bengal and Europe, and when that happens, vegetables would be exported to Europe.

Bengal is soon coming out with a food processing policy, so that definite rules and opportunities are created for people wanting to invest in this high-demand sector. The government is providing subsidies to those investing in the construction of packhouses and cold storages, which are crucial logistical components for export to be a success.

 

মধ্য প্রাচ্যের পর বাংলা এবার ইউরোপ, আমেরিকাতেও রপ্তানি করবে আনাজ

 

মধ্য প্রাচ্যে আনাজ রপ্তানি করে ব্যপক সাড়া মেলার পর এবার বাংলা আনাজ রপ্তানি করবে ইউরোপ, আমেরিকাতেও। খাদ্য প্রক্রিয়াকরণ ও উদ্যানপালন দপ্তর এই উদ্যোগ শুরু করে গত বছর আগস্ট মাসে মধ্য প্রাচ্যের জন্য। এখন তারা কৃষি, কৃষি-বিপণন ও আগ্রো ইন্ডাস্ট্রিজ কর্পোরেশন লিমিটেড-এর সঙ্গে কাজ করছে এই আনাজ হিমঘরে রাখার পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নে।

উদ্যানপালন দপ্তর লাউ, ঝিঙ্গে, বরবটি, ঢেঁড়স, উচ্ছে, পটল, লঙ্কা রপ্তানি করছে গত বছর থেকে। সব থেকে বেশী চাহিদা দেখা গেছে ঢেঁড়স, বরবটি, লঙ্কা ও ঝিঙ্গের। যত জেলাতে উৎপাদন হয়, সব থেকে উৎকৃষ্ট আনাজ হয় বাঁকুড়া জেলাতে। এই আনাজগুলোতে কোনও রাসায়নিক ও কীটনাশক ব্যবহৃত হয় না।

রাজ্য কৃষি দপ্তর রাজ্যের পশ্চিম দিকে আরও কিছু নতুন জমি চিহ্নিত করেছে আরও আনাজ উৎপাদনের জন্য। অল্প সেচ ও জৈবিক প্রক্রিয়ার মাধ্যমে এই জমিগুলিকেও চাষের যোগ্য করা হবে। শিক্ষা ও প্রশাসন দপ্তর থেকে বিশেষজ্ঞদের আনা হয়েছে এই সব জমি চাষযোগ্য কিভাবে তৈরি করতে।

প্রতিদিন আনুমানিক ২.৫টন আনাজ পাড়ি দেয় বিমানে করে মধ্য প্রাচ্যে, কিন্তু, তাতেও পুরো চাহিদা মিটছে না। কিছুদিন আগেই দপ্তরটি সমুদ্রপথে ওল, মিষ্টি আলু ও কুমড়ো রপ্তানি করছে। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বেশ কিছুকাল ধরে বিমান মন্ত্রকের সঙ্গে কথা বলে আসছেন কলকাতা থেকে সরাসরি ইউরোপে বিমান দাবি করে। এই দাবি মিটে গেলে খুব শীঘ্রই রপ্তানি শুরু হয়ে যাবে। বেশ কয়েক বছর ধরে রাজ্য থেকে আম রপ্তানি হয় ইউরোপিয়ান দেশগুলিতে।

রাজ্য খুব শীঘ্রই একটি খাদ্য প্রক্রিয়াকরণ নীতি আনতে চলেছে যাতে বিনিয়োগকারীরা লাভবান হবেন। খাদ্য প্রক্রিয়াকরণ ক্ষেত্রকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যেতে প্যাকহাউস তৈরিতে ও হিমঘর উন্নয়নে রাজ্য দিচ্ছে ভর্তুকি।

The Bengal Government would be keeping a close watch on the power situation in the state during Durga Puja.

To ensure smooth power supply, State Power Minister recently held a series of meetings with the West Bengal Power Development Corporation, West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company, West Bengal Police, Kolkata Police, Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) and Coal India Limited (CIL).

A task force has also been set up under the leadership of the chief secretary, which has already issued a series of instructions.

The State Government wants that during the festive days, despite the heavy demand for electricity, what with the thousands of pandals across Bengal, and of course, the regular domestic consumption, the people can have a peaceful time.

In recent times, the government has done a lot to improve the power distribution situation in the state. The government has a target to set up 125 sub-stations, of which 26 are already functioning. People are being hired on a contractual basis to secure the sub-stations. The old overhead cables are also being replaced with new ones.

এবার পুজোর দিনগুলিতে বিদ্যুৎ বিভ্রাট মোকাবিলা করতে রাজ্য বিদ্যুৎ উন্নয়ন নিগম বৈঠক করল সমস্ত বণ্টনকারী সংস্থার সঙ্গে। একই সঙ্গে কোল ইন্ডিয়া, সিইএসসি, কলকাতা পুলিশ ও রাজ্য পুলিশের সঙ্গেও বৈঠক করেন বিদ্যুৎমন্ত্রী শোভনদেব চট্টোপাধ্যায়।

ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল স্টেট ইলেক্ট্রিসিটি ডিস্ট্রিবিউশন কোম্পানি, পাওয়ার ডেভেলপমেন্ট কর্পোরেশন আধিকারিকদের সঙ্গেও বৈঠক করেন মন্ত্রী। উৎসবের সময় রাজ্যে কোনও রকম বিদ্যুৎ বিভ্রাট বা বিদ্যুৎ ঘাটতি যাতে না তৈরি হয় তার জন্য একাধিক ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে। একই সঙ্গে বিদ্যুৎ চুরি রুখতেও পুলিশ ও বিদ্যুৎ দপ্তরের কর্মীদের সজাগ থাকতে বলা হয়।

মন্ত্রী বলেন, ‘আমরা ভোল্টেজ বৃদ্ধির জন্য এ বছর ২৬টি নতুন সাব স্টেশন তৈরি করেছি। আগামী বছরের মধ্যে আরও ২১৫টি সাব স্টেশন তৈরির লক্ষ্যমাত্রা রেখেছি। আমরা কোল ইন্ডিয়াকে বলেছি, এই সময়ে তারা যেন কয়লার জোগান ঠিক রাখে।’ নবান্ন সূত্রে খবর, বিদ্যুৎ পরিষেবার বিষয়ে মুখ্য সচিবের নেতৃত্বে গঠিত টাস্ক ফোর্স ও বেশ কয়েকদফা নির্দেশিকা দিয়েছে উৎসব উপলক্ষে।

মন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, জেলার সাব স্টেশনগুলিতে দেখভাল ও নজরদারির জন্য এই সময়ে বাড়তি কর্মীর প্রয়োজন হয়, তাই চুক্তিভিত্তিক কর্মী নিয়োগের জন্যও নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে। এমনকী সাব স্টেশনগুলি থেকে বিদ্যুৎ পরিবাহী পুরোনো কেবলগুলিকে বদল করে ফেলার কাজ শুরু করেছে বিদ্যুৎ সরকার। ওভার হেড কেবলের মধ্যে যেখানে পুরোনো কেবল রয়েছে, সেগুলিকেও বদল করে ফেলার কাজ শুরু করেছে বিদ্যুৎ দপ্তর।

The Jago Bangla Festival Edition for 2017 was released by Mamata Banerjee at a cultural function at Nazrul Mancha today.

A host of luminaries from various fields graced the occasion as well.

The cover page of the festive edition has been designed by Mamata Banerjee herself. The book starts with a preface by her, and features both fictional and non-fictional writing by some of the best writers and experts in various fields.

There are special features, including analyses, on the internationally-acclaimed Kanyashree Scheme, the social schemes initiated by the Chief Minister, the return to fortune for the muslin trade and the weavers, the folk songs of Bengal and the FIFA Under-17 World Cup.

আজ জাগো বাংলার উৎসব সংখ্যা ১৪২৪ প্রকাশ করলেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। অনুষ্ঠানটি হয় নজরুল মঞ্চে।

বহু বিশিষ্টজনেরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন এই অনুষ্ঠানে।উৎসব সংখ্যার কভার পেজটি মুখ্যমন্ত্রী নিজেই ডিজাইন করেছেন। অনুষ্ঠানে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, মহালয়া যতদিন থাকবে ততদিন বাংলার ঐতিহ্য থাকবে।

শারদপত্রে রয়েছে বিশিষ্টদের কলম, নিবন্ধ, গল্প, কবিতা, বিশ্লেষণ, স্মৃতিচারণ ও সমাজ সংস্কৃতি বিষয়ক লেখা। এছাড়াও রয়েছে বর্তমান প্রজন্মের একঝাঁক লেখকের লেখা।

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held a media interaction at Nabanna today after a meeting between the State Government and representatives of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM). The meeting was called by the State’s Chief Secretary to discuss issues regarding the tea gardens in the hills.

The Government has asked all concerned parties, including the garden owners, the unions and tea associations, to reopen the tea gardens and pay the workers the bonus due to them. Another meeting would be held on September 21 in Siliguri with the Labour Commissioner to finalise these issues.

The Chief Minister said the government wanted to know from the Hill leaders how the people in the Hills were faring. She said the situation in the region had improved now. The State Government has always wanted development and peace in the Hills. She wished her brothers and sisters in the Hills well.

Mamata Banerjee also offered her greetings to the people on the occasion of Durga Puja. The inauguration of various pandals started from today.

 

 

চা বাগানের শ্রমিকদের পুজোর বোনাস দেওয়া হোকঃ মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

 

আজ নবান্নে গোর্খা জনমুক্তি মোর্চার প্রতিনিধিদের সঙ্গে বৈঠক করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। বৈঠকের পর সাংবাদিক দের মুখোমুখি হয়ে তিনি জানান, “আজ মুখ্য সচিব একটি বৈঠক ডেকেছেন। গোর্খা জনমুক্তি মোর্চার প্রতিনিধিরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন বৈঠকে। চা বাগান নিয়ে আলোচনা হয়েছে”।

চা বাগান খুলে দিতে ও শ্রমিকদের বোনাস দিতে বলা হয়েছে। আগামী ২১ তারিখ একটি বৈঠক হবে এবং সেখানে সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হবে।

তিনি আরও বলেন, “আমরা জানতে চেয়েছি পাহাড়ের মানুষজন কেমন আছেন। পাহাড় এখন অনেক স্বাবাভিক হয়ে গেছে। আমরা পাহাড়ের উন্নয়ন চাই, শান্তি চাই। পাহাড় অনেকটাই স্বাভাবিক হয়ে গেছে। পাহাড়ের ভাই বোন ভালো থাকুক”।

তাঁর কথায়, “কোনরকম সন্ত্রাসবাদী কার্যকলাপ আমরা বরদাস্ত করব না, সরকার তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে ব্যবস্থা নেবে”।
