Saugata Roy speaks on the issue of mob lynching in Jharkhand

Sir, I point out about another case of lynching, of Tabrez Ansari in Jharkhand, on June 22, 2019. This has already been mentioned in the House but what I want to mention is that the police held this man in custody for four days, he had severe injuries on his head and when he was brought to the hospital he was already half dead. It was cold-blooded murder by a religiously motivated mob.
The death of the 24 year old man is a blot for humanity. Unfortunately this man was beaten up and made to say ‘ Jai Sree Ram’ and ‘ Jai Hanuman’ before he had to be removed. All I want to say is that BJP Members who are speaking about West Bengal should rather protect the people in Jharkhand, a BJP ruled state and other States where people are being lynched to death.
This incident is an example of religious intolerance and we shall continue to protest against lawlessness of religious intolerance and mob lynching.
