The initiative of the state Transport department to make self-driven hired cars available in Kolkata has become immensely successful with all cars being booked within five days of its launch.

The private company that was given permit to facilitate the service decided to add more cars to its fleet before the Puja.

The state Transport Minister, had inaugurated the service on October 28. Within the past few days, all the cars have been booked and curiosity among people about the service has gone up.

The service was launched with a fleet of 15 cars of different classes. But with all the cars being booked from Shasthi onwards, the service provider has decided to add another 10 cars to their fleet.

It is believed that this scheme will give a boost to tourism as tourists can hire a car and visit tourism destination in the State without hassles.

To deal with human-elephant conflicts in West Bengal, the state forest department on Monday flagged off four specialised squad vehicles to boost the ground staff’s mobility to tackle the issue.

Four specialised vehicles have been procured and retrofitted and are being deployed to make the ground staff more equipped to deal with the situation and to increase their mobility. These vehicles are called ‘Airawat’ and these high quality vehicles with four-wheel drive can move into difficult terrains and are equipped with modern gadgets and accessories.

There will be equipment such as tranquilizer guns, medicines, capture nets and communication equipment to the staff, and (the vehicle) comes with independent power supply as well.

 

 

জনবসতিতে হাতির হানা রুখতে গঠিত হল ‘ঐরাবত’ বাহিনী

মানুষ ও হাতির সংঘাত এড়াতে রাজ্য বন দফতর সোমবার একটি বিশেষ বাহিনী গঠন করেছে। এই বাহিনীর নাম দেয়া হয়েছে ঐরাবৎ।

এই বাহিনীতে প্রশিক্ষণপ্রাপ্ত কর্মীরা যাতে তৎক্ষণাৎ ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে পরিস্থিতিকে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে পারে সেই জন্য বেশ কিছু ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হয়েছে।

রাখা হয়েছে অত্যাধুনিক পদ্ধতিতে তৈরী ৪টি বিশেষ গাড়ি, এই গাড়িগুলিতে থাকবে ঘুম পাড়ানো বন্দুক, ওষুধ, জাল, যোগাযোগের যন্ত্রপাতি, এই গাড়িগুলি “ফোর হুইল ড্রাইভ” পদ্ধতিতে তৈরী যাতে অমসৃণ রাস্তাতেও সমানভাবে চলতে পারে।

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee asked all ministers to be present in their respective Assembly constituencies and districts to avoid any untoward incident during Durga Puja and Muharram.

Banerjee gave the direction to the ministers during a Cabinet meeting in Nabanna on Monday. Every minister has been directed to be present in their own Assembly constituencies. At the same time they have to be aware of the situation in their respective district.

Chief Minister had given a message to the people of the state urging to maintain peace and harmony during festive season. She had said: “There are some people who try to create trouble. Thus I would like to urge people from all communities, clubs and youngsters to ensure peace and harmony during Durga Puja and Muharram. There are the brothers and sisters of Bengal to stop miscreants if they find anyone trying to play spoilsport.”

 

 

পুজোর সময় মন্ত্রী-বিধায়কদের নিজেদের এলাকায় থাকতে নির্দেশ মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর

পুজোর সময় মন্ত্রি-বিধায়ক সহ সকল জনপ্রতিনিধিদের নিজের জেলায় নিজেদের এলাকার মানুষের পাশে থাকার নির্দেশ দিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। উৎসবের সময় কোন রকম অপ্রীতিকর ঘটনা এড়াতে সব রকম ভাবে প্রশাসন মানুষের পাশে রয়েছে।

সোমবার নবান্নে মন্ত্রীসভার বৈঠকে মন্ত্রীদের এই নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। উৎসবের সময় সব ধর্মের মানুষের সম্মেলন হয় গোটা রাজ্যে, এ অবস্থায় কোন রকম অপ্রীতিকর ঘটনা ঘটলে তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে কড়া ব্যবস্থা নেবে প্রশাসন। প্রত্যেক জন প্রতিনিধিদের সচেতন থাকার নির্দেশ দেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

উৎসবের মরসুমে শান্তি ও সম্প্রীতি বজায় রাখার অনুরোধ জানিয়ে জনগণের কাছে একটি বার্তা দেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। তিনি বলেন, “কিছু কিছু মানুশজন আছেন যারা সমস্যা তৈরি করার চেষ্টা করে। আমি সব ক্লাব, পুজো কমিটি সহ সকল সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষের কাছে দুর্গাপূজা ও মহরমের সময় শান্তি ও সম্প্রীতি বজায় রাখার আবেদন করব”।

Mamata Banerjee has penned the theme song for the Durga Puja 2015 organized by Suruchi Sangha.

Despite her busy schedule, Didi always takes time out to write and paint. She has penned over 50 books till date and her latest book will be released at Kolkata Book Fair, 2017. She had also penned the theme song for Suruchi Sangha in 2016.

The song “Prithibi Ektai Desh” talks about universal brotherhood, harmony and peace.

The music for the song was composed by Jeet Ganguly and sung by Palak Muchhal. The video has been directed by Kaushik Ganguly with creative inputs by Churni Ganguly.

দুর্গা পুজোর থিম সং লিখলেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

গতবছরের ন্যায় এবারেও সুরুচি সংঘের দুর্গা পুজোর থিম সং লিখলেন তৃণমূল নেত্রী তথা রাজ্যের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

নানা ব্যস্ততার মধ্যেও দিদি লেখান এবং ছবি আঁকেন। আজ অবধি ওনার ৫০টিরও বেশি বই প্রকাশিত হয়েছে। ওনার লেখা নতুন বই বেরোবে ২০১৭সালের বইমেলায়।

এই থিম সংটির শীর্ষক হল ‘পৃথিবী একটাই দেশ’ – এই গানের মাধ্যমে দিদি বিশ্ব ভাতৃত্ব, সম্প্রীতি ও শান্তির বার্তা দিয়েছেন।

গানটির সংগীত পরিচালনা করেছেন জিৎ গাঙ্গুলী এবং গেয়েছেন পালক মুচ্চল। ভিডিওটি পরিচালনা করেছেন কৌশিক গাঙ্গুলী এবং বিশেষ উপদেষ্টা চূর্ণী গাঙ্গুলীর।

The state Municipal Affairs department has taken up several steps for creation and development of green space in urban areas at an estimated cost of around Rs 60 crore. The schemes have been taken up as a part of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s announced programme ‘Green City Clean City.’

The state government has allotted Rs 32 crore to develop 106 parks under green space development project in urban areas. The work will be carried out by the municipal bodies with technical support from Municipal Engineering Directorate.

In 2015, the department took up development of 177 parks in 54 urban towns at an estimated cost of Rs 28 crore. The work is in the final stages and last minute touches are being given. Once these 283 parks are completed and are thrown opened to the public it will cover 470 acre of new green space in urban areas.

Municipal Affairs department has developed 566 parks since 2011.

 

রাজ্যের শহরাঞ্চলে আরও পার্ক বানাবে সরকার

রাজ্যের শহরাঞ্চলে আরও পার্ক বানানোর উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে পুর-বিষয়ক দপ্তর। এর জন্য বরাদ্দ হয়েছে ৬০ কোটি টাকা। মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর মস্তিষ্কপ্রসূত ‘গ্রীন সিটি ক্লিন সিটি’ প্রকল্পকে বাস্তবায়িত করতেই এই উদ্যোগ।

শহরাঞ্চলে ১০৬টি পার্ক বানাতে ৩২ কোটি টাকা বরাদ্দ হয়েছে। Municipal Engineering Directorate সহায়তায় পুর-বিষয়ক দপ্তর এই কাজটি করবে।

২০১৫ সালে ২৮ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে ৫৪টি শহরে ১৭৭টি পার্ক বানানো হয়েছিল। সেগুলির কাজ এখন শেষ পর্যায়ে। এর মধ্যে ২৮৩টি পার্কের কাজ শেষ যার ফলে রাজ্যে সবুজায়ন হয়েছে ৪৭০ একর জমির।

২০১১ সাল থেকে রাজ্যে ৫৬৬টি পার্ক তৈরী ও রক্ষনাবেক্ষন করছে পুর-বিষয়ক দপ্তর।

With the beginning of Debipakkha, like past years, Bengal Chief Minister will inaugurate the Durga Puja of Chetla Agrani by performing the ‘Chokkhudan’ of the Durga idol. Incidentally, she had inaugurated the Durga Puja of Shreebhumi Sporting Club on September 28 .

The Chief Minister is scheduled to inaugurate Durga Pujas of Naktala Udayan Sangha, Ekdalia Evergreen, Singhi Park, Suruchi Sangha and many other clubs and organisations in the run up the Pujas.

Different schemes and projects like Safe Drive Save Life, Biswa Bangla, Mother Teresa’s canonisation, Mahashweta Devi’s life and works will adorn the themes of different Durga Puja pandals this year.

The Chief Minister has appealed to one and all to maintain peace and harmony during the festivities.

 

আজ থেকে দুর্গা পুজোর  উদ্বোধন করবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

আজ দেবী পক্ষের শুরু। প্রত্যেক বছরের মতই আজ চেতলা অগ্রণী ক্লাবে মা দুর্গার চোখ এঁকে পুজোর উদ্বোধন করবেন মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। গত বুধবার শ্রীভূমি স্পোর্টিং ক্লাবের পুজোর উদ্বোধন করেন।

এরপর নাকতলা উদয়ন সঙ্ঘ, একডালিয়া এভারগ্রীন, সিংহী পার্ক, সুরুচি সঙ্ঘ সহ আরও অনেক পুজোর উদ্বোধন করার কথা মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর।

এবছর বিভিন্ন পুজো মণ্ডপে সেফ ড্রাইভ-সেভ লাইফ প্রকল্প, মাদার টেরেসার সন্তায়ন, মহাশ্বেতা দেবীর জীবন, বিশ্ব বাংলা সহ নানা থিম এবারের পুজো প্যান্ডেল গুলোতে।

সব মিলিয়ে পুজোর দিনগুলিতে সকলকে শান্তি সম্প্রীতি বজার রাখার জন্য আবেদন করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited (WBTDCL) has unveiled fifteen packages for tourists wanting to experience one of India’s biggest festivals – Durga Puja.

There are three tours within Kolkata named Udbodhani, covering some of the grandest built pandals (pre-Puja whole-night tours on October 5, 6 and 7), and Sanatani-I and Sanatani-II, covering the Durga Pujas in the erstwhile zamindar households (morning tours on October 8, 9 and 10 for both I and II).

Another set of tours covers the traditional Durga Pujas on the outskirts of Kolkata. The different tours are Hooghly Safar, Rarbanger Puja-I, Rarbanger Puja-II, Surul Rajbari in Birbhum, Kashim Bazar Rajbari in Murshidabad and Bijaya Package to Bishnupur, covering the period from October 8 to October 13.

The various north Bengal tours are North Bengal Puja Package-I (pujas of Jalpaiguri and Cooch Behar Rajbari), North Bengal Puja Package-II (pujas of Jalpaiguri and Malbazar, and forest safari in Medhla) and North Bengal Puja Package-III (same as the package-II), from October 8 to October 10.

Besides these, there is a cruise package consisting of Durga Puja on board along with cultural programmes. There are morning and evening trips from October 7 to October 11.

There are also two trips covering the grand spectacles of the immersions of the idols at Babughat (two trips on October 13).

For some of the trips there are options of AC and non-AC buses, and some of the packages include lunch or dinner.

দুর্গাপুজো উপলক্ষে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের ভ্রমণ প্যাকেজ

পশ্চিমবঙ্গ পর্যটন উন্নয়ন কর্পোরেশন লিমিটেড (WBTDCL) দুর্গাপুজোয় পনেরোটি প্যাকেজের ব্যবস্থা করেছে। কলকাতা, কলকাতার উপকণ্ঠে এবং উত্তরবঙ্গের পুজো প্যান্ডেল মিলিয়ে মোট ১৫ টি প্যাকেজ রয়েছে।

কলকাতার মধ্যে তিনটি ট্যুর হবে যার নাম উদ্বোধনী,(৫,৬ ও ৭ অক্টোবর সারা রাত) সনাতনী-১, সনাতনী-২, এর সঙ্গে দেখানো হবে জমিদার বাড়ির পুজোগুলোও (৮,৯ ও ১০ অক্টোবর সকালে)।

এছাড়া কলকাতার বাইরে ঐতিহ্যবাহী দুর্গা পুজোগুলিরও একটি প্যাকেজ রয়েছে। সেগুলি হল হুগলী সফর, রাঢ়বঙ্গের পুজো-১, রাঢ়বঙ্গের পুজো-২, বীরভূমের সুরুল রাজবাড়ি, মুর্শিদাবাদের কাসিম বাজার রাজবাড়ী এবং বিষ্ণুপুরে বিজয়াপ্যাকেজ রয়েছে। ৮অক্টোবর থেকে 13 অক্টোবর পর্যন্ত এই ভ্রমণগুলির সময় নির্ধারণ হয়েছে।

উত্তরবঙ্গের বিভিন্ন ট্যুর প্যাকেজ রয়েছে। যেমন-উত্তরবঙ্গ পূজা প্যাকেজ-১ (জলপাইগুড়ি ও কোচবিহার রাজবাড়ির পূজো)  উত্তরবঙ্গের পূজা প্যাকেজ -২ ও উত্তরবঙ্গ পূজা প্যাকেজ -৩ (জলপাইগুড়ি ও মালবাজার, এবং মেধলার ফরেস্ট সাফারি) ৮ অক্টোবর থেকে ১০ অক্টোবর এর সময় নির্ধারিত হয়েছে।

এসবের পাশাপাশি, একটি ক্রুজ প্যাকেজ ও রয়েছে এবং সেখানে বিভিন্ন সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের ব্যবস্থা থাকবে। ৭ থেকে ১১ অক্টোবর প্রতিদিন সকাল ও সন্ধ্যায় ট্রিপ হবে।

এছাড়া ১৩ অক্টোবর বাবুঘাটে প্রতিমা বিসর্জনেরও দুটি ট্যুর প্যাকেজ রয়েছে।

কিছু কিছু ট্রিপের ক্ষেত্রে এসি ও নন এসি বাসেরও অপশন আছে এবং প্যাকেজের মধ্যে লাঞ্চ বা ডিনার অন্তর্ভুক্ত।

West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation (WBTDC) and the Calcutta State Transport Corporation (CSTC) have made arrangements to show some of the Heritage Pujas in and around the city. This is a chance to traverse down Kolkata’s memory lane during Durga puja now have the option of visiting the city’s centuries-old palaces and bonedi baris .Fascinatingly, each puja has a different story to tell or at least a unique ritual that sets it apart from the rest.

One of the tours begins from the house of the Sabarna Roy Choudhurys of Behala Barisha, where the historic agreement took place with Job Charnock in 1698 that gave the British trading rights of Kolkata. The aatchala (eight-pillared courtyard) still exists and so does this heritage puja.

The bus trip takes a tourist through the city’s majestic heritage to Rani Rashmoni’s house on S N Banerjee Road, where the Goddess and her family has features like Lord Jagannath of Puri to Dutta Baari (Thanthania), where one gets to see the Goddess Durga relaxing on Mahadev’s lap.

The CSTC takes tourists through heritage pujas starting from Belur right upto Barisha on a Volvo Bus from Esplanade on Saptami, Ashtami and Nabami. Food is on the house with an elaborate lunch being served at the Sovabazar Rajbaari. One offbeat puja covered on this trip is the Baghbazar Halderbaarir pujo where the idol is a two feet Goddess made from Kostipathar.

The tour also take tourists to Belur where the Kumaripuja is famously held on Ashtami morning. CSTC takes tourists to Belur, Bagbazar Haldarbaari, Sovabazar Rajbaari, Latubabu, Chatubabu, Rani Rashmoni’r baari, Mukherjeebaari (Behala), Sonar Durga (Behala), Sabarna Roy Choudhury’s baari in Behala Barisha.

The day trip includes a visit to Khelat Ghosh’s Baari, Sovabazar Raj Baari, Chhatubabu Latubabur Puja, Chandra Baari, Rani Rashmoni Baari, Thanthania Dutta Baari while the noon trip takes you to Khelat Ghosh’s Baari, Sovabazar Raj Baari, Chhatubabu Latubabur Puja, Chandra Baari, Rani Rashmoni Baari and  Bagbazar.

 

এবার পুজোয় কলকাতার বনেদি বাড়ির দেখার সুযোগ করে দিল পর্যটন দপ্তর

বেহালার সাবর্ণ রায়চৌধুরীর বাড়ি থেকে শুরু করে ধর্মতলায় রানী রাসমণির বাড়ি, ঠনঠনিয়ার দত্তবাড়ি থেকে শুরু করে বেলুড় – এই ট্যুরে থাকছে অনেক আকর্ষণ। পাওয়া যাবে শোভাবাজার রাজবাড়িতে পাওয়া যাবে দুপুরের ভোগ খাবার সুযোগ। দেখতে পারবেন বেলুড়ের কুমারী পুজোও। এই ট্যুরে আপনি যাওয়ার সুযোগ পাবেন বাগবাজার হালদার বাড়ি, লাটুবাবু-ছাতুবাবু, বেহালার মুখার্জী বাড়ি, বেহালার সোনার দুর্গা এবং আরও অনেক পুজো।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated and laid the foundations stones for a bouquet of developmental projects for Hooghly district today during an administrative review meeting in Chinsurah at 4 pm.

The projects that were inaugurated by the Chief Minister today included new administrative buildings for the district, water projects, irrigation projects, road projects, bridges, parks, hostels and police stations, among others.

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stones for numerous projects including hostels, roads, administrative buildings and Karma Tirthas, among others.

She distributed cycles under Sabuj Sathi, Kanyashree, Yubashree and Sikshashree benefits, agricultural machinery and land pattas.

 

হুগলী জেলায় আজ প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর

আজ বৃহস্পতিবার হুগলি জেলার চুঁচুড়ায় প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

চুঁচুড়ায় সার্কিট হাউসের উল্টো দিকে নবনির্মিত প্রশাসনিক ভবনে বৈঠকটি হয়। বিভিন্ন দফতরের মন্ত্রীরা ছাড়াও পুলিশ এবং প্রশাসনের আধিকারিকেরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন বৈঠকে। আগের প্রশাসনিক বৈঠকে যে সব সিদ্ধান্ত হয়েছিল, সেই সব কাজের অগ্রগতি কতদূর হল, তার হিসাব এবং হাল-হকিকত মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর কাছে পেশ করেন প্রশাসনের কর্তারা।

বৈঠকের পরে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী চন্দননগরের উড়ালপুল-সহ কিছু সরকারি প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করেন। প্রথামাফিক নানা সরঞ্জাম সহ বিভিন্ন সরকারি পরিষেবা প্রদান করেন তিনি।

The state government has decided to install monorail from Budge Budge to Ruby Connector, said Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The CM said: “We have taken decision to install monorail in the city. It will connect Budge Budge to Ruby via Taratala, New Alipore and Prince Anwar Shah Road. It will come up at a cost of Rs 4,216 crore.”

She further said that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between Burn Standard Company Limited and the state transport department for execution of the project to install the monorail.

“Burn Standard Company Limited will be funding the project and the state government will provide land,” she said adding that there would not be any problem over land acquisition as minimum land would be required to construct pillars and elevated tracks would be laid connecting them.

 

বজবজ থেকে রুবি চলবে মনোরেল, জমি দেবে রাজ্য, বললেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

বজবজ থেকে রুবি মোড় পর্যন্ত মনোরেল চালু হতে চলেছে। বার্ন স্ট্যান্ডার্ড কোম্পানি ৪২১৬ কোটি টাকা খরচ করে তা তৈরি করবে। এর জন্য তারা একটি প্রস্তাব রাজ্য সরকারকে দিয়েছে। তা বিবেচনা করে মনোরেল তৈরির ব্যাপারে সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এর জন্য পরিবহণ দপ্তরের সঙ্গে বার্ন স্ট্যান্ডার্ড কোম্পানির একটি ‘মউ’ স্বাক্ষর হবে। এর জন্য যে জমি লাগবে, তা রাজ্য সরকার ব্যবস্থা করবে বলে জানান মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী জানিয়েছেন, বজবজ থেকে তারাতলা, নিউ আলিপুর, প্রিন্স আনোয়ার শাহ রোড হয়ে রুবি মোড় পর্যন্ত যাবে মনোরেল। রেলের অধীনস্থ বার্ন স্ট্যান্ডার্ড কোম্পানি সেটি তৈরি করবে।

এদিন নবান্নে শিল্প উন্নয়ন এবং প্রোমোশনাল বোর্ডের বৈঠক করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। সেই বৈঠকে শিল্প ও অর্থমন্ত্রী অমিত মিত্র, বিদ্যুৎ মন্ত্রী শোভনদেব চট্টোপাধ্যায়, ক্ষুদ্রকুটির শিল্প দপ্তরের মন্ত্রী স্বপন দেবনাথ, মৎস্যমন্ত্রী চন্দ্রনাথ সিনহা, খাদ্য প্রক্রিয়াকরণ মন্ত্রী রেজ্জাক মোল্লা ছিলেন। এছাড়াও সংশ্লিষ্ট দপ্তরের প্রধানসচিবরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন। সেখানে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় শিল্প প্রস্তাব নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন। যে কোনও শিল্প প্রস্তাবে সব দপ্তরকে সাহায্য করতে নির্দেশ দেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। আলোচনা হয় মনোরেল নিয়েও।
