Today, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) office in Kolkata to take stock of the situation following the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes.

Mamata Banerjee asked RBI officials to provide details of currency notes despatched to Bengal, as senior citizens were complaining that even they were not getting cash on a day designated for them.

She said, “Not a single new Rs 500 note has been circulated in Bengal”. As a result, and as a result of demonetisation in general, the people are suffering. Long queues are seen every day outside banks and ATMS.

Mamata Banerjee said, “People cannot access their savings accounts”, and questioned whether even their money in the savings accounts is safe.

She further said, “The whole of rural India is crying, farmers are crying. If food is not available what will the common people eat? Plastic?”

Reflecting the sentiment of the people, she raised the slogan, “Ghar ghar mein shor hai, aam janta ro raha hai!” Continuing in the same vein, she said, “How will people and families survive? There is an acute shortage of notes in the society”.

She complained that demonetisation has caused bankruptcy.

She said, “It is very painful that people are unable to purchase medicines”. She also raised serious concerns about the agricultural sector as farmers were unable to buy seeds for sowing crops.

The Chief Minister requested the Centre to “keep all the Rs 10, 100 and 500 notes in circulation”, and most importantly, “to help the people in the rural areas where there are no banks and post offices”.

Mamata Banerjee also empathized with the over-worked bank officials. She said, “My heart goes out to bank employees and officers. All are under severe stress. Sadly, they are victims of circumstance”. She also offered her “condolences to the bereaved families”.

After this, she paid a surprise visit to Asia’s biggest market, Burrabazar, in central Kolkata, where she interact with the people and reviewed the situation first-hand.

Following the Burrabazar visit, the Chief Minister said that “all have expressed deep anguish” about the current market situation.

“People of all castes, communities and creeds belonging to all states, especially Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Punjab, spoke about the big problems they are facing”.

According to her, they said that “for the last 10 days everything is down to almost zero”.

She expressed her deep anguish about the enormous problems created as a result of the decision of demonetisation by the Central Government, saying, “It is a very sad situation”.

 

 

 

 

এখনও পর্যন্ত একটাও ৫০০ টাকার নতুন নোট বাংলায় এসে পৌঁছয়নি

 

আজ মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় রিসার্ভ ব্যাঙ্ক অফ ইন্ডিয়ার কলকাতার শাখায় যান এটা জানতে যে ৫০০ ও ১০০০ টাকার নোট বাতিলের পর তাদের পরিস্থিতি সরেজমিনে খতিয়ে দেখতে।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ব্যাঙ্কের আধিকারিকদের কাছে জানতে চান কলকাতার জন্য কত নতুন নোট তাদের শাখায় পাঠানো হয়েছে কারণ বহু বৃদ্ধ মানুষ অভিযোগ করছেন আজ তাদের নোট পাল্টে দেয়ার কথা থাকলেও তাদের ব্যাঙ্ক কিছুই দিতে পারছে না।

তিনি বলেন “একটা নতুন ৫০০ টাকার নোটও কলকাতায় পাঠানো হয়নি এখনও পর্যন্ত।”এই নোট বাতিলের ফলে মানুষকে চরম এখনো

ভোগান্তির মধ্যে পড়তে হচ্ছে ও সারাক্ষন ব্যাঙ্ক ও এটিএমের বাইরে বিশাল লাইনে দাঁড়াতে হচ্ছে।

মানুষ তাঁর নিজের জমানো টাকাও তুলতে পারছে না, তাদের টাকা আদৌ সুরক্ষিত আছে তো?

তিনি আরও বলেন পুরো দেশের গ্রামাঞ্চলের মানুষ হাহাকার করছে। যদি খাবার পাওয়া না যায়, মানুষ খাবে কি? প্লাষ্টিক?

মানুষের চরম ভোগান্তির কথা স্মরণ করে তিনি বলেন “ঘর ঘর মে শোর হ্যায়, আম জনতা রো রাহা হ্যায়।” আরো বলেন, এই মুহূর্তে চরম সংকট হচ্ছে নোটের, মানুষ বাঁচবে কিকরে?

তিনি বলেন এই নোট বাতিলের ফলে দেশের মানুষ পুরো দেউলিয়া হয়ে গেছে।

অসুস্থ মানুষ প্রয়োজনীয় ওষুধ কিনতে পারছেন না। তিনি গম্ভীর উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করেন কৃষিকার্যের প্রতি কারণ কৃষকরা বীজ কিনতে ও বপন করতে পারছে না।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী অনুরোধ করেন কেন্দ্রের কাছে ১০, ১০০ ও ৫০০ টাকার নোটের যোগান বাড়াতে। যেসব প্রত্যন্ত অঞ্চলে ব্যাঙ্ক ও পোস্ট অফিস নেই, সেই সকল অঞ্চলের মানুষকে সাহায্য করার আবেদন জানান।

সারাদিন ধরে অক্লান্ত পরিশ্রম করতে থাকা ব্যাঙ্ক কর্মীদের প্রতিও তিনি সমবেদনা জানান। তিনি বলেন ব্যাঙ্ক কর্মচারীরা প্রচন্ড চাপের মধ্যেও প্রচন্ড পরিশ্রম করে চলেন। তিনি সেই সকল পরিবার পরিজনদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানান যারা এই তুঘলকি সিদ্ধান্তের ফলে তাঁদের স্বজন হারিয়েছেন।

এরপর তিনি এশিয়ার বৃহত্তম বাজার, মধ্য কলকাতার বড়বাজারে যান ও প্রতি ব্যবসায়ীর সঙ্গে কথা বলে তাদের অসুবিধের কথা শোনেন। ব্যবসায়ীদের সঙ্গে কথা বলে তিনি জানান, প্রতিটি ব্যবসায়ীই এই কান্ডজ্ঞানহীন নোট বাতিলের জন্য ক্ষুব্ধ।

সকল রাজ্যের সকল জাতির সকল ধর্মের মানুষ তাদের দুর্দশার কথা বলছেন বিশেষ করে উত্তর প্রদেশ, বিহার ও পাঞ্জাবের জনগণ।

তিনি বলেন এই ১০ দিনে সকলে প্রায় নিঃস্ব হয়ে গেছে।

তিনি কেন্দ্রের নোট বাতিলে এই হঠকারী সিদ্ধান্তের প্রতিবাদ করে বলেন পরিস্থিতি খুবই দুঃখজনক।

Trinamool Congress cornered the Centre over the issue of demonetisation in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha during the opening week of the Winter Session of Parliament.

On the opening day, that is, November 16, Trinamool Congress parliamentarians from both houses of Parliament staged a demonstration outside the Parliament in New Delhi, opposing the move of demonetisation by the Centre and demanding its rollback.

On the third day too, that is, November 18, too, the party’s MPs from both the Houses assembled near the Gandhi statue outside Parliament to stage a dharna, highlighting the plight of the common people due to demonetisation.

Trinamool Congress was the first political party to give a notice of suspension in the Rajya Sabha.

On November 17, in the Rajya Sabha, Derek O’Brien demanded voting after discussion on the issue of demonetisation. He said, “We think that beyond the debate there should be a voting”.

On the same day, in the Lok Sabha, Sudip Bandyopadhyay moved an Adjournment Motion under Rule 56 on the issue. He said, “Let this decision be withdrawn temporarily to chalk out a final plan”.

On November 18, Sudip Bandyopadhyay once again demanded a discussion under Rule 56 to censure the Central Government on demonetisation.

Thus ended an eventful week for the party, in which Trinamool Congress dominated the parliamentary proceedings.

 

 

কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারকে পার্লামেন্টে কোনঠাসা করল তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস

 

চলতি পার্লামেন্টের শীতকালীন অধিবেশনে লোকসভা ও রাজ্যসভা দু’জায়গাতেই কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারকে পুরো কোনঠাসা করল তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস।

শীতকালীন অধিবেশনের প্রথম দিন মানে ১৬ই নভেম্বর পার্লামেন্টের সদস্যরা পার্লামেন্টের বাইরে বিক্ষোভ প্রদর্শন করেন এই নোট বাতিলের বিরুদ্ধে।

তৃতীয় দিনেও একই ভাবে পার্লামেন্টের বাইরে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের পার্লামেন্টের সদস্যরা নোট বাতিলের ফলে সাধারণ মানুষের দুর্ভোগের প্রতিবাদে বিক্ষোভ প্রদর্শন করেন।

তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস প্রথম পার্টি যারা মুলতুবি প্রস্তাব আনেন রাজ্যসভায়।

১৭ই নভেম্বর রাজ্য সভায় ডেরেক ও ব্রায়েন আলোচনার পর ভোটের দাবি জানান।

একই দিনে লোকসভায় সুদীপ বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ৫৬ নম্বর নিয়ম অনুযায়ী মুলতুবি প্রস্তাব আনেন ও বলেন একটি সুপরিকল্পিত পরিকল্পনা গ্রহণ করে তারপর এই নোট বাতিল কার্যকর করা হোক।

পরের দিনও লোকসভায় সুদীপ বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় একই দাবি তোলেন।

বিভিন্ন কর্মসূচির মাধ্যমে শীতকালীন অধিবেশনের প্রথম সপ্তাহ অতিক্রান্ত হলো, যেখানে দাপিয়ে বেড়াল তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস।

The West Bengal State Handicrafts Fair started from today.

The 24-day fair would continue till December 11 at Milan Mela Ground, opposite Science City. The fair timings are from 1 am to 8.30 pm. Entry to the fair is free.

The Handicrafts Fair is being organised by the Department of Micro and Small Scale Enterprises and Textiles.

Handicraft-makers from all over Bengal have come to this fair to sell their beautiful creations. Like every year, it is going to be a huge success.

 

শুরু হচ্ছে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ হস্তশিল্প মেলা

আজ থেকে শুরু হচ্ছে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ হস্তশিল্প মেলা।

২৪ দিনের মেলাটি চলবে আগামী ১১ ডিসেম্বর পর্যন্ত। সায়েন্স সিটির বিপরীতে মিলন মেলা প্রাঙ্গনে হবে এই মেলাটি। দুপুর ১ টা থেকে রাত সাড়ে ৮টা পর্যন্ত খোলা থাকবে। কোন প্রবেশমূল্য লাগবে না।

এই হস্তশিল্প মেলাটি ক্ষুদ্র ও মাঝারি শিল্প দপ্তর এবং বস্ত্রশিল্প দপ্তর দ্বারা আয়োজিত।

বাংলার সব জায়গা থেকে হস্তশিল্পীরা এসেছেন তাদের তৈরি সুন্দর হাতের কাজের জিনিস বিক্রি করতে। প্রতি বছরের মত, এবছরও এই মেলাটি এক বিশেষ সাফল্য অর্জন করবে।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee lashed out at the Centre, urging it to withdraw the decision to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes. She was addressing a rally at Azadpur Mandi in Delhi, where Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was also present.

In her speech, she highlighted the sad plight of the general public due to the sudden move of demonetisation. Mamata Banerjee said that before the election, the ruling party had said “good days are on their way”, while in reality, the poor are in tears. People have run out of supply of vegetables, she said, while accusing the Centre of inaction despite the plight of the people.

The Bengal Chief Minister pointed out that there has been a huge loss in GDP due to the Centre’s sudden decision. She referred to her interaction with the Punjabi community which has suffered a huge loss in the transportation sector. All the trucks carrying food and other goods are stalled at State borders, she said. She pointed out that the farmers have nothing to do and nothing to eat.

“Every day, the Government is coming out with new rules. This is an economic emergency and the entire country is suffering”, the CM said.

The Bengal Chief Minister strongly criticised the move by the Centre to mark the fingers of the common people who are depositing money with indelible ink and said that the people will blacken the Centre’s face for the mistrust being shown towards them. She maintained that joint parliamentary committees (JPC) are useless as seven such JPCs have been formed till date, none of which have yielded any results.

The Bengal Chief Minister pointed out that the Central ministers spend so much time in foreign countries that they have forgotten the country. She stated that the ruling party is out of sync with reality as it is talking about plastic economy. She also questioned the BJP on funds received from unknown sources.

Mamata Banerjee added that Trinamool Congress will cooperate with the Central Government if it is serious about bringing back black money from foreign countries. She also demanded to know what steps the Government is going to take regarding non-performing assets (NPA) of banks.

The Bengal Chief Minister said she has the people’s support in her struggle, which has made her fearless. The Chief Minister reiterated that it was not an ego battle; this is a fight for the people, she maintained. “We will not allow them to sell the country, we will not allow poor people to suffer”, said Mamata Banerjee while concluding her speech.

 

 

নোট বাতিল ইস্যুতে আজাদপুরে কেন্দ্রকে তুলোধোনা করলেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

৫০০ ও ১০০০ টাকার নোট বাতিলের ইস্যুতে আজ একটি জনসভার আয়োজন করে আম আদমি পার্টি। মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় এবং দিল্লির মুখ্যমন্ত্রী অরবিন্দ কেজরিওয়াল  ভাষণ দেন এই জনসভায়।

জনসভাটি হয় দিল্লির সবচেয়ে বড় সবজি ও ফলের পাইকারি বাজার আজাদপুর মাণ্ডিতে।

কেন্দ্রের এই হঠকারী সিদ্ধান্ত প্রত্যাহারের দাবি জানিয়ে গতকাল রাষ্ট্রপতি প্রণব মুখোপাধ্যায়ের দ্বারস্থ হন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় এবং একটি স্মারকলিপিও জমা দেন।

তাঁর বক্তব্যের কিছু বিষয়ঃ

  • নির্বাচনের আগে ওরা বলেছিল আচ্ছা দিন আ রাহা হ্যায়। কিন্তু এখন গরীবরাও কাঁদছে

  • ঘরে সবজি না থাকলে কি এটিএম এ কি করবে মানুষ? রোটি-কাপড়া-মাকান, ইয়ে হ্যায় হিন্দুস্তান
  • মানুষ কাঁদছে আর ওরা মজা দেখছে
  • নোট বাতিলের জন্য জিডিপি ভীষণভাবে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত
  • পাঞ্জাবী কমিউনিটি আমায় জানিয়েছে পরিবহন ব্যবস্থা সমস্যার সম্মুখীন, সব ট্রাক আটকে রয়েছে
  • কৃষকরা কি করবেন? তারা কি খাবেন? প্রত্যেকদিন সরকার নতুন নতুন নিয়ম আনছে। এটা কি তামাশা হচ্ছে?
  • নোট বাতিল সমস্যা অর্থনৈতিক বিপর্যয়ের সমান। সমগ্র দেশ এই সমস্যায় জেরবার
  • ওরা চায় সাধারণ মানুষের হাতে কালি লাগিয়ে দিতে। মানুষ ওদের মুখে কালি দেবে
  • ওরা মনে করে সবাই চোর আর ওরা সাধু
  • আজ অবধি সাতটা জেপিসি গঠিত হয়েছে কিন্তু কোনো ফল হয়নি
  • ওরা বিদেশে গিয়ে দেশের কথা ভুলে যাচ্ছে
  • ওরা প্লাস্টিক অর্থব্যবস্থার কথা বলছে। ওরা দেশের অবস্থা জানে না
  • কেন্দ্র সংবিধান বিরোধী কাজ করছে। দেশে জরুরি অবস্থার চেয়েও খারাপ অবস্থা
  • বিজেপি বলুক অজানা উৎস থেকে কত টাকা পেয়েছে তারা পার্টি তহবিলে?
  • কালো টাকা ওরা ফিরিয়ে আনুক বিদেশ থেকে। আমরা ওদের সাথে সহযোগিতা করব
  • ব্যাঙ্কগুলির নন-পারফর্মিং অ্যাসেট এর ব্যাপারে কি পদক্ষেপ নিচ্ছে কেন্দ্র
  • মানুষ আমাদের সাথে আছে। আমরা কাউকে ভয় পাইনা
  • এটা অহংকারের লড়াই নয়, এটা মানুষের লড়াই। আমরা লড়তে ভয় পাই না
  • আমরা লড়াই করি। আমাদের দমানো যাবে না। আমাদের জেলে পুড়লেও না, গুলি করে মেরে ফেললেও না
  • সরকারের উচিত আরও টাকার যোগান দেওয়া। বাজার খোলার জন্য ওদের পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া উচিত
  • আমরা ওদের দেশকে বিকিয়ে দিতে দেবনা। সাধারণ মানুষকে আর কষ্ট সহ্য করতে দেবনা

The Trinamool Congress Government has brought about a lot of developmental initiatives to Bardhaman district. A lot of services are now reaching the people, which had never happened before.

There have been major developments in the sectors of rural development, agriculture, health, industry and education, among others.

 

Police

  • Four new police stations have been established: Durgapur women police station, Asansol-Durgapur women police station, Bardhaman women police station and Nadanghat police station.

 

Health and Family Welfare

  • Five special newborn care units (SNCUs) are already operational in Bardhaman Medical College and Hospital, Asansol District Hospital, Durgapur Sub-divisional Hospital, Katwa Sub-divisional Hospital, and Kalna Sub-divisional Hospital.
  • 23 sick newborn stabilisation units (SNSUs) are operational in the district.
  • Three critical care units (CCUs) are running in Durgapur, Asansol, and Bardhaman.

 

Education

  • Almost 2.45 lakh students have been presented with bicycles under the Sabuj Shathi Scheme.
  • 31 primary schools and 336 higher secondary schools have been established.
  • 24 primary schools have been upgraded to Madhyamik schools and 186 Madhyamik schools have been upgraded to Higher Secondary schools.

 

Agriculture and Land Reforms

  • We have developed Mati Tirtha to initiate dialogues on agriculture and other related sectors.
  • An Agriculture University has been established in Sadhanpur to bring in modern scientific techniques in the sphere of agriculture.
  • To aid unemployed youth, 160 Bengal Dairy kiosks have been established in the district.

 

Panchayat and Rural Development

  • The State Government has facilitated the building of 62,000 houses under Indira Awaas Yojana.
  • Under Mission Nirmal Bangla, around 3.74 lakh toilets have been built in the district. In 2014-15, Bardhaman was ranked 4th nation-wide and 3rd in West Bengal based on the number of household toilets built.

 

Minorities Development

  • Around Rs 110 crore have been spent on various schemes under the Multi-Sectoral Development Programme (MSDP).
  • 535 Anganwadi centres have been established at a cost of Rs 23.72 crore
  • Rs 141.25 crore has been spent to provide arsenic-free water.
  • Backward Classes and Adivasi Development
  • More than 3 lakh SC/ST/OBC certificates have been granted in the last four-and-a-half years.

 

Women and Child Development

  • Families which have severely malnourished children are being provided Rs 240 and 25 kg of rice as GR. This has led to the number of malnourished children going down from 2,513 to 586.

 

Khadya Sathi

  • The government is buying foodgrains at a rate higher than the minimum support price to help the farmers.

 

Industry

  • 35 clusters of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) have been established which has led to numerous employment opportunities.
  • 2 industrial estates have been set up in Durgapur and Shaktigarh.

 

PWD and Transport

  • Renovation of roads: NH-2B at a cost of Rs 17 crore, Saptagram-Tribeni-Kalna-Katwa at cost of Rs 35 crore, Muchipara-Shibpur at a cost of Rs 22 crore and Bhatar-Banprash at a cost of Rs 9 crore.

 

Power

  • To strengthen the electricity infrastructure, Rs 391 crore was spent in rural areas and Rs 262 crore in urban areas.

 

Irrigation

  • Rs 71 crore have been spent on upgrading canals and flood management.

 

Public Health and Engineering

  • To combat the problem of arsenic-polluted water, a surface water-based project has been set up in Purbasthali-2 block.

 

Labour

  • More than 22,000 people have been registered under West Bengal Transport Workers Social Security Scheme.
  • More than 9,000 people are receiving incentives under the Yuvashree Scheme.

 

Self-Help Groups and Schemes

  • 15 Karma Tirtha have been set up.

 

Urban Development

  • Around 20,000 homes have been built for the poor in urban areas.

 

Sports and Youth Affairs

  • Stadiums to be built in Bhatar and Memari

 

In 2007-11, the State Government had a budget of Rs 160 crore for developments in the region, which went up to Rs 609 crore in 2011-15, after the creation of Paschimanchal Unnayan Affairs Department. This shows the commitment of the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress Government to West Bengal.

 

বর্ধমান জেলার উন্নয়নের জোয়ার 

রাজ্য ও অন্যান্য জেলার সঙ্গে তাল মিলিয়ে বিগত সাড়ে চার বছর সময়কালে অভূতপূর্ব উন্নয়ন ঘটেছে এই বর্ধমান জেলায়। এই জেলায় বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে ৮৫ শতাংশ মানুষের কাছে বিভিন্ন সরকারী প্রকল্পের সুবিধা পৌঁছে দেওয়া গেছে।

 

স্বরাষ্ট্র :-

প্রশাসনিক সুবিধার্থে ও উন্নয়নের স্বার্থে বর্ধমান (শিল্পাঞ্চল) ও বর্ধমান (গ্রামীণ) ২টি পৃথক জেলা গঠনের সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে। জেলায় নতুন থানা হিসাবে দুর্গাপুর মহিলা থানা, আসানসোল-দুর্গাপুর মহিলা থানা, বর্ধমান মহিলা থানা ও নাদনঘাট থানা স্থাপন করা হয়েছে।

 

স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যান :-

SNCU মোট ৫টি জায়গায়, চালু হয়ে গেছে।এগুলি হল:- বর্ধমান মেডিক্যাল কলেজ ও হাসপাতাল, আসানসোল জেলা হাসপাতাল ও দুর্গাপুর মহকুমা হাসপাতালে, কাটোয়া মহকুমা হাসপাতাল, কালনা মহকুমা হাসপাতালে।

জেলায় মোট ২৩টি SNCU চালু হয়ে গেছে।

CCU মোট তিনটি জায়গায়:- দুর্গাপুর মহকুমা হাসপাতাল, আসানসোল জেলা হাসপাতাল, বর্ধমান মেডিক্যাল কলেজ ও হাসপাতালে চালু হয়ে গেছে।

 

শিক্ষা:

এই জেলায় প্রায় ২ লক্ষ ৪৫ হাজার ছাত্র-ছাত্রীকে সবুজসাথী প্রকল্পে সাইকেল প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

বিগত সাড়ে ৪ বছরে জেলায় নতুন ৩১টি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় ও ৩৩৬টি উচ্চ প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।

পাশাপাশি ২৪টি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়কে উচ্চ প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় স্তরে এবং ১৮৬টি মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়কে উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয় স্তরে উন্নীত করা হয়েছে।

 

ভূমি সংস্কার, কৃষি, মৎস্য ও পশুপালন

কৃষি, মৎসচাষ, পশুপালন ও সহযোগী ক্ষেত্রগুলির জন্য মত বিনিময় ও আদানপ্রদানের স্থায়ী পরিকাঠামো হিসাবে আমরা গড়ে তুলছি মাটি তীর্থঞ্চ। মাটি উৎসবের প্রাঙ্গণে এর স্থায়ী পরিকাঠামো গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।

বৈজ্ঞানিক পদ্ধতিতে আধুনিক কৃষি শিক্ষা প্রচারের জন্যে আমাদের সরকার এক বলিষ্ট পদক্ষেপের মাধ্যমে বর্ধমান জেলার সাধনপুরে একটি নতুন কৃষি মহাবিদ্যালয় স্থাপন করেছে।

পাশাপাশি বেকার যুবক, যুবতীদের কর্ম সংস্থানের লক্ষে ১৬০টি আনশফতর ঈভতক্ষঁ ঔভষড়য জেলায় জেলায় গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।

 

পঞ্চায়েত ও গ্রামোন্নয়ন:

গত সাড়ে ৪ বছরে জেলায় ৬২ হাজারের বেশি ইন্দিরা আবাসন ঘর করা হয়েছে। আগামী মে মাসের মধ্যে আরও ১৩ হাজার ঘর নির্মিত হয়ে যাবে।

জেলায় মিশন নির্মল বাংলা প্রকল্পে প্রায় ৩ লক্ষ ৭৪ হাজার শৌচালয় নির্মাণ সম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে। ২০১৪-১৫ সালে বর্ধমান জেলা পারিবারিক শৌচাগার নির্মাণের ক্ষেত্রে সারা ভারতবর্ষের মধ্যে চতুর্থ স্থান এবং রাজ্যে তৃতীয় স্থান অর্জন করেছে।২০১৬ সালের মার্চ মাসের মধ্যে বর্ধমান জেলার প্রতিটি পরিবারে শৌচাগার নির্মাণের কাজ ১০০ শতাংশ পূরন হবে।

 

সংখ্যালঘু উন্নয়ন :

MSDP- তে প্রায় ১১০ কোটি টাকা ব্যয় করে সংখ্যালঘু সম্প্রদায়ের উন্নয়নে বিবিধ প্রকল্প রূপায়িত করা হয়েছে।

জেলায় সংখ্যালঘু উন্নয়নে মোট ৫৩৫টি অঙ্গনত্তয়াড়ী কেন্দ্র ২৩.৭২ কোটি অর্থ ব্যয় করে নির্মিত হয়েছে।

 

অনগ্রসর কল্যাণ ও আদিবাসী উন্নয়ন:

বিগত সাড়ে ৪ বছরে প্রায় ৩ লক্ষ জাতি শংসাপত্র প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

 

নারী ও শিশু উন্নয়ন :

শিশুদের মধ্যে অপুষ্টি হার কমানোর জন্য আঙ্গনওয়াড়ী কেন্দ্রের মাধ্যমে পরিপূরক পুষ্টি সরবরাহ করা হচ্ছে।  অতিঅপুষ্টি শিশুদের পরিবারগুলিকে ২৪০ টাকা ও ২৫ কেজি চাল জি-আর হিসাবে দেওয়া হচ্ছে। অতিপুষ্টিজনিত শিশুদের পরিবারগুলিকে গ্রামীন কর্ম নিশ্চয়তা প্রকল্পের আওতায় আনা হয়েছে।তার ফলে এক বছরে অতিঅপুষ্টি শিশুর সংখ্যা ২৫১৩ থেকে কমে ৫৮৬ হয়েছে।

 

খাদ্য সুরক্ষা কর্মসূচী- খাদ্য সাথী প্রকল্প :

খাদ্য শস্যের যোগান সুনিশ্চিত করতে আমরা কৃষকদের থেকে বেশি দামে খাদ্য শস্য ক্রয় করা হচ্ছে। এতে কৃষকরাও বিশেষভাবে উপকৃত হচ্ছেন,তাঁরা ফসলের উপযুক্ত দাম পাচ্ছেন।

 

শিল্প:

জেলায় ক্ষুদ্র, ছোট ও মাঝারি উদ্যোগের ৩৫টি ক্লাস্টার গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে। এর ফলে প্রচুর মানুষের কর্মসংস্থান সুনিশ্চিত করা গেছে।

দূর্গাপুরে ও শক্তিগড়ে ২টি শিল্প তালুক গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।

 

পূর্ত ও পরিবহন :

৩৫ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে সপ্তগ্রাম-ত্রিবেণী- কালনা-কাটোয়া রাস্তার  সংস্কার, ২২ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে মুচিপাড়া-শিবপুর রাস্তা, ৯ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে ভাতার-বনপাস রাস্তা প্রভৃতি।

 

বিদ্যুৎ ও অচিরাচরিত শক্তি :-

বর্ধমান জেলার গ্রামীণ এলাকায় বিদ্যুতের পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নে ৩৯১ কোটি টাকার ও বর্ধমান জেলার শহর এলাকায় বিদ্যুতের পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নে ২৬২ কোটি টাকার দুটি প্রকল্পের কাজ শুরু হয়েছে।

 

সেচ :-

সেচ ব্যবস্থা উন্নতিকল্পে এবং বন্যা নিয়ন্ত্রনে বিভিন্ন প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে ৭১ কোটি টাকা ব্যায়িত হয়েছে।

 

জনস্বাস্থ্য কারিগরী  :

আর্সেনিক অধ্যুষিত এলাকায় আর্সেনিক দূষণের মোকাবিলায় পূর্বস্থলী-২ ব্লকে ১টি জল সরবরাহ প্রকল্প রূপায়িত হয়েছে।

 

শ্রম:-

অনুরূপভাবে,  WBTWS প্রকল্পে ২২ হাজারেরও বেশি পরিবহন কর্মী নথিভুক্ত হয়েছেন।

যুবশ্রী প্রকল্পে ৯ হাজারেরও বেশি যুবক-যুবতী উৎসাহ ভাতা পাচ্ছেন।

 

স্বনির্ভর দল ও স্বনিযুক্তি কর্মসূচী :-

জেলায় বিভিন্ন দপ্তরের মোট ২১টি কর্মতীর্থ নির্মাণের কাজ শুরু হয়েছিল, যার মধ্যে ইতিমধ্যেই ১৫টির কাজ সমাপ্ত হয়েছে, বাকী ৬টির কাজ চলছে।

 

পুর ও নগরোন্নয়ণ

বর্ধমান জেলায় শহরাঞ্চলে গরীবদের জন্যে প্রায় প্রায় ২০ হাজার বাসস্থান নির্মিত হয়েছে।

 

ক্রীড়া ও যুব কল্যাণ

বর্ধমান জেলায় ভাতার ও মেমারীতে স্টেডিয়াম নির্মাণের কাজ চলছে।

রাজ্য বাজেটে এই দপ্তরের পরিকল্পনা খাতে ব্যয় বরাদ্দ ২০০৭ -১১ সালে ছিল মাত্র ১৬০ কোটি টাকা, যা ২০১১-১৫ সালে বৃদ্ধি পেয়ে হয়েছে প্রায় ৬০৯ কোটি। জলসংরক্ষণ, সেচ, কৃষি, শিক্ষা, স্বাস্থ্য, সড়ক নির্মাণ, পানীয় জলের ব্যবস্থা প্রভৃতি প্রকল্পগুলি এই দপ্তর অগ্রাধিকার ভিত্তিতে রূপায়ণ করছে।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that she will be meeting the President of India tomorrow, no matter what.

“Old Rs 500/1000 notes are being allowed in railways, petrol pumps. NHAI too have been exempted. But no exemption for state sector agriculture, co-operatives… No exemption for patients in private hospitals, nursing homes or for non-prescription medicines. Why this discrimination? The situation is serious. Very grim. People are suffering. We will meet the Hon. President tomorrow, no matter what,” Mamata Banerjee tweeted.

The Bengal Chief Minister lashed out at the Government’s decision to mark the depositors with indelible ink.

“Desperate attempt to start a ‘black mechanism’ with indelible ink shows this Govt distrusts the common people… Also, there are by-elections on Nov 19. What will the EC say about this decision to put indelible on prospective voters?” the Bengal CM tweeted.

নোট বাতিল ইস্যুতে কেন্দ্রের বিরুদ্ধে তোপ দাগলেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় জানান, আগামীকাল নোট বাতিল সমস্যা নিয়ে তিনি রাষ্ট্রপতির সঙ্গে দেখা করবেন।

মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় টুইট করে বলেন, “পুরনো ৫০০ এবং ১০০০ টাকার নোট রেল এবং পেট্রোল পাম্প, ন্যাশনাল হাইওয়েতে নেওয়া হচ্ছে। রাজ্য সরকারের অধীন কৃষিক্ষেত্র  ও সমবায়কে কোন ছাড় দেওয়া হয়নি কেন? বেসরকারি হাসপাতাল, নার্সিং হোমে রোগীদের জন্য ওষুধে কোন ছাড় নেই। কেন এই বৈষম্য? পরিস্থিতি খুবই সংকটজনক ও ভয়াবহ। সাধারণ মানুষ এর জন্য চরম সমস্যার সম্মুখীন হচ্ছেন। আমরা আগামীকাল যেভাবেই হোক রাষ্ট্রপতির সঙ্গে দেখা করব”।

নোট বদলের পর হাতে কালি লাগানোর কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের এই সিদ্ধান্তকে কটাক্ষ করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের উদ্দেশে তাঁর টুইট, “কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার কি মানুষকে বিশ্বাস পর্যন্ত করে না? সাধারণ মানুষের হাতের কালি এবারে ওদের মুখে পড়বে। আগামী ১৯ নভেম্বর উপ-নির্বাচন। নির্বাচন কমিশন সরকারের এই সিদ্ধান্তকে কি বলবেন?”

As experienced in the rest of West Bengal, there has been unprecedented development in Cooch Behar district over the last five years. In the last four-and-a-half years, 95% of the people of the district have been brought under the ambit of various government schemes.

The much-awaited interchange of Chhitmahal enclaves between India and Bangladesh was a result of the treaty signed between the two countries on June 6, 2015 during the visit of Mamata Banerjee to Bangladesh. On July 31, 2015, India acquired 51 Chhitmahal territories, which were made a part of Cooch Behar. In exchange, Bangladesh received 111 Chhitmahal territories. As a result of this treaty, the population of Cooch Behar has gone up by 15,768.

 

Uttarkanya

For the benefit of the people of North Bengal, a branch secretariat of the State Government has been established in North Bengal, named Uttarkanya. Along with other departments, pension, provident fund and group insurance branch offices too have started operations here. As a result of this, the entire population of North Bengal do not have to travel to Kolkata any more. The Government now extends services to the people faster than ever before.

 

Health and family welfare

  • 2 medical colleges established
  • 6 fair-price medicine shops (FPMS) started, as a result of which more than 1.3 lakh people have benefitted to the tune of Rs 3.19 crore
  • Dialysis unit started at MJN Hospital
  • 12 sick newborn stabilisation units (SNSU) operating across 9 block hospitals and 3 sub-divisional hospitals
  • 1 sick newborn care unit (SNCU) started at MJN Sadar hospital
  • 1 critical care unit (CCU) with 12 beds already operating, as is the Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) Centre
  • High-dependency units (HDU) started in sub-divisional hospitals in Mathabhanga and Dinhata
  • 8 block primary health centres (BPHCs) upgraded

  • Cooch Behar Industrial Growth Centre built on 130 acres at an investment of Rs 116 crore
  • Chakchaka Jute Park has come up on 33 acres
  • 5 micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) clusters and 2 handloom clusters set up
  • Rs 2,000 crore worth of bank loans provided
  • 35,000 handicraft workers given identity cards and 52 handicraft workers given loans worth Rs 11 lakh

 

PWD and Transport

  • 114 projects for roads, bridges, etc., worth Rs 388 crore, completed, benefitting 10 lakh people
  • 570 km roads completed/re-built/widened
  • Teesta Bridge project, worth Rs 422 crore, is underway in Haldibari and Mekhliganj blocks, which, when completed, will cut down the travel distance between Haldibari and Mekhliganj from 85 km to 15 km

 

Power

  • Under the Sobar Ghore Alo Project, 100% rural electrification is near completion
  • Bamanhat power sub-station already commissioned
  • Mathabhanga sub-station to be commissioned

 

Irrigation

  • Irrigation dam conservation work of 86 km completed
  • Asphalt roads being laid on the Teesta dam in Haldibari block and on the Rakshakari dam at a cost of Rs 12 crore
  • Water Resources Investigation and Development Department, during 2014-15, built 413 diesel-powered irrigation projects having tube-wells, 42 electricity-powered irrigation projects and 2 electricity-powered projects of medium capacity

 

Public Health Engineering

  • 71 drinking water projects worth Rs 106 crore have been undertaken, benefitting 4 lakh people

 

Tourism

  • An eco-tourism and picnic spot, centred around the Dumduma Jheel in Bhogrampur in Mathabhanga-I block, is near completion

 

Labour

  • About 1.53 lakh unorganised workers registered under State-Assisted Scheme of Provident Fund for Unorganised Workers (SASPFUW)
  • About 79,000 lakh construction workers registered under Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Act (BOCWA).
  • Similarly more than 10,000 transport workers registered under West Bengal Transport Workers’ Social Security Scheme (WBTWSSS)

 

Self-Help Groups and Schemes

  • Under the Anandadhara Scheme, around 5,000 self-help groups (SHGs) have been set up
  • Under the Swami Vivekananda Swanirbhar Karmasuchi, more than 7,500 projects, worth Rs 37 crore, have been sanctioned
  • Vocational training for making jute products, garments, etc being provided to 300 self-help groups comprising women
  • Under the Anandadhara Scheme, executive committees formed comprising groups skilled in processing jute products and dry foods; these have formed agreements with organisations like CII, FICCI, CINI and SIT for the sale of good produced by them

 

Urban Development

  • The six municipalities of Cooch Behar district spent more than Rs 135 crore on various projects
  • More than 2,500 homes built for the urban poor

 

Information and Broadcasting

  • Around 2,000 folk artistes getting retainer fees and pensions

 

Housing

  • More than 7,000 homes being built under Gitanjali and other schemes

 

Sports and Youth Affairs

  • Rs 74 lakh provided for building 37 multi-gym centres
  • The renovation work of Rajbati Stadium (phase-I) has been completed and a basketball court has also been built

 

Police

  • Cooch Behar Women Police Station has been formed

 

The government has continuously been executing development projects for the betterment of Cooch Behar district, and the result is there for all to see.

 

কোচবিহার জেলায় উন্নয়ন এক নজরে

ঐতিহাসিক ছিটমহল হস্তান্তর:

২০১৫ সালের জুন মাসের ৬ তারিখে মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বাংলাদেশ সফরের সময় যে ভারত-বাংলাদেশ চুক্তি স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছিল তারই ফলশ্রুতি স্বরূপ সম্পন্ন হয়েছে বহু কাঙ্খিত ভারত-বাংলাদেশ ছিটমহল  হস্তান্তর।

উত্তরকন্যা

সমগ্র উত্তরবঙ্গের মানুষের সুবিধার্থে উত্তরবঙ্গে আমরা স্থাপন করেছি রাজ্য সরকারের শাখা সচিবালয়- উত্তরকন্যা। এর দরুন সমগ্র উত্তরবঙ্গের মানুষজনকে আজ আর সরকারি কাজের জন্য কলকাতায় ছুটে যেতে হয় না। সরকারি কাজ ও পরিষেবা মানুষের কাছে আরও দ্রুততার সাথে পৌছে যাচ্ছে।

রাজ্য ও অন্যান্য জেলার সঙ্গে তাল মিলিয়ে বিগত সাড়ে চার বছর সময়কালে অভূতপূর্ব উন্নয়ন ঘটেছে এই কোচবিহার জেলায়। এই জেলায় বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে ৯৫ শতাংশ মানুষের কাছে বিভিন্ন সরকারী প্রকল্পের সুবিধা পৌঁছে দেওয়া গেছে।

স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যান:

কোচবিহারে তৈরী হচ্ছে ২টি নতুন মেডিকেল কলেজ।

৬টি ন্যায্য মূল্যের ওষুধের দোকান খওগ সদর হাসপাতালে,দিনহাটা, মাথাভাঙ্গা, তুফানগঞ্জ, সিতাই ও মেখলিগঞ্জ মহকুমা হাসপাতালে গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।

৯টি আরষদয হাসপাতাল ও ৩টি মহকুমা হাসপাতাল মিলে মোট ১২টি SNSU চালু হয়েছে।

শিক্ষা:

কোচবিহার পঞ্চানন বর্মা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় স্থাপন হয়ে, পঠনপাঠনও শুরু হয়ে গেছে।

হরিণচাওড়াতে সরকারী উশফভশননক্ষভশফ ইষররনফন নির্মাণের কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়েছে, আগামী শিক্ষা বর্ষ থেকে পঠন পাঠন শুরু হবে।

মেখলিগঞ্জ ব্লকের আই.টি.আই কলেজের কাজ সমাপ্ত হয়েছে।

তুফানগঞ্জ পলিটেকনিক কলেজের ক্লাস শুরু হয়ে গেছে।

বিগত সাড়ে ৪ বছরে জেলায় নতুন ২১টি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় ও ৩১০টি উচ্চ প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।

পাশাপাশি ৫টি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়কে উচ্চ প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় স্তরে এবং ৪৩টি মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়কে উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয় স্তরে উন্নীত করা হয়েছে।

সব স্কুলে মিড-ডে-মিল চলছে যার ফলে পুষ্টি এবং উপস্থিতির হার বেড়েছে এবং স্কুল ছুট ছাত্রের সংখ্যা কমেছে।

প্রতিটি বিদ্যালয়ে ছেলে ও মেয়েদের জন্যে পৃথক শৌচাগার নির্মিত হয়েছে।

ভূমি সংস্কার, কৃষি ও পশুপালন

নিজ গৃহ নিজ ভূমি প্রকল্প:  উক্ত প্রকল্পে অদ্যাবধি ৯ হাজারেরও বেশি ভূমিহীণ পরিবারকে মোট ৩৮৭.৫৭ একর জমির পাট্টা প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

জেলার প্রায় ১০০% কৃষকদের কিষান ক্রেডিট কার্ড- প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

জেলায় ৮টি কিষাণ মান্ডি গড়ে তোলা হচ্ছে। এরমধ্যে তুফানগঞ্জ-১, মাথাভাঙ্গা-২ ও শীতলকুচি ব্লকে ৩টি কিষাণ মান্ডির কাজ সম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে।

পঞ্চায়েত ও গ্রামোন্নয়ন:

বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে ১০০ দিনের কাজে ৬৪২ কোটি টাকা ব্যয় করে ৩ কোটি ৬৭ লক্ষ শ্রম দিবস সৃষ্টি হয়েছে।

গ্রামীণ সড়ক যোজনায় ৩১২ কি. মি. রাস্তা নির্মিত হয়ে গেছে। গত সাড়ে ৪ বছরে জেলায় প্রায় ৪৩ হাজার ইন্দিরা আবাসন ঘর করা হয়েছে।

জেলায় মিশন নির্মল বাংলা প্রকল্পে প্রায় ১ লক্ষ ৯১ হাজার শৌচালয় নির্মাণ সম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে।

সংখ্যালঘু উন্নয়ন:

জেলায় বিগত সাড়ে ৪ বছরে, প্রায় ২ লক্ষ ৭১ হাজার সংখ্যালঘু ছাত্র-ছাত্রীকে প্রায় ৪১ কোটি টাকা স্কলারশিপ প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

স্বনির্ভরতার জন্য সংখ্যালঘু যুবক-যুবতীদের প্রায় ২২ কোটি টাকা ঋণ প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

২টি ছাত্রাবাস নির্মিত হয়েছে এবং ৯টির নির্মানকার্য সম্পন্ন হওয়ার মুখে যার বরাদ্দকৃত অর্থের পরিমান ১০ কোটি ৬০ লক্ষ ৫১ হাজার টাকা।

কোচবিহার শহরে একটি কেন্দ্রীয় ছাত্রীনিবাস নির্মিত হয়েছে যার বরাদ্দকৃত অর্থের পরিমান ২ কোটি ৩১ লক্ষ টাকা।

৯৭ হাজারেরও বেশি ছাত্র-ছাত্রী শিক্ষাশ্রী প্রকল্পে সহায়তা পাচ্ছে।

বিগত সাড়ে ৪ বছরে প্রায় ১ লক্ষ ৮৭ হাজারেরও বেশি জাতি শংসাপত্র প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

নারী ও শিশু উন্নয়ন:

জেলায় প্রায় দেড় লক্ষ ছাত্রী কন্যাশ্রীর আওতায় এসেছে।

১লা মে, ২০১৫ থেকে গুরুতররূপে অপুষ্ট শিশুদের পুষ্টিখাদ্য দেওয়া শুরু হয়েছে।

খাদ্য সুরক্ষা কর্মসূচী:

জেলায় সাড়ে ২১ লক্ষেরও মানুষ ২/- টাকা কেজি দরে খাদ্যশস্য পাচ্ছেন।

শিল্প:

 

জেলায় ক্ষুদ্র ও মাঝারি শিল্পের ৫টি এবং হস্তচালিত তাঁতের ২টি ক্লাস্টার স্থাপন করা হয়েছে যার মাধ্যমে প্রচুর মানুষের কর্মসংস্থান হয়েছে।

ক্ষুদ্র শিল্পের ক্ষেত্রে বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে এই জেলায় প্রায় ২ হাজার কোটি টাকা ব্যাঙ্ক ঋণ প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

কোচবিহার জেলায় এখন অবধি ৩৫ হাজার হস্তশিল্পীদের পরিচয় পত্র প্রদান করা হয়েছে। ৫২ জন হস্তশিল্পীদের ১১ লক্ষ টাকা ঋন দেওয়া হয়েছে।

পূর্ত ও পরিবহন:

জেলার সড়ক ব্যবস্থা উন্নয়নে বিশেষ গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হচ্ছে। জেলায় বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে ৫৭০ কিমি রাস্তা নির্মাণ/পুর্ননির্মাণ/সম্প্রসারণ ও উন্নীতকরণের কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।

এই জেলায় তিস্তানদীর উপরে বৃহত্তম সেতু নির্মাণের কাজ শুরু হয়েছে। ৪২২ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে, হলদিবাড়ি ও মেখলিগঞ্জ ব্লকের মধ্যে, সাড়ে ৫ কি.মি. দীর্ঘ এই সেতুটি নির্মিত হবে।

বিদ্যুৎ ও অচিরাচরিত শক্তি:

সমগ্র কোচবিহার জেলায় সবার ঘরে আলো প্রকল্পে ১০০% গ্রামীণ বৈদ্যুতিকরণের কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।

মাথাভাঙ্গা সাব-ষ্টেশন তৈরি হয়ে গেছে।

সেচ:

৮৬ কিমি দৈর্ঘ্যের বাঁধ সংরক্ষণের কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।

প্রায় ১১ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে হলদিবাড়ি ব্লকে তিস্তা নদীর বাঁধের উপর ও কোচবিহার জেলার শহর রক্ষাকারী নদীবাঁধের উপর সাড়ে ১২ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে পিচ রাস্তা নির্মাণের কাজ শুরু হয়েছে।

জনস্বাস্থ্য কারিগরী:

বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে ৭১টি জলপ্রকল্পের কাজ শুরু হয়েছে, এর মধ্যে প্রায় ১০৬ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে ৩৭টির কাজ সমাপ্ত হয়েছে। এর ফলে জেলার প্রায় ৪ লক্ষ মানুষ উপকৃত হচ্ছেন। বাকী ৯টি জলপ্রকল্পের কাজ আগামী মে মাসের মধ্যে সমাপ্ত হবে।

পর্যটন:

মাথাভাঙ্গা ১ ব্লকের ভোগরামপুরে দমদম ঝিল কে কেন্দ্র করে ইকো টুরিজ্‌ম এবং পিকনিক স্পট তৈরীর কাজ শেষের পথে। আনুমানিক পরিকল্পনা ব্যয় ৪ কোটি ৬৯ লক্ষ টাকা।

প্রায় ২৩ লক্ষ টাকা ব্যয়ে নির্মিত রসিকবিল মিনি চিড়িয়াখানায় একটি পক্ষিশালার শুভ উদ্বোধন করা হয়েছে।

স্বনির্ভর দল ও স্বনিযুক্তি কর্মসূচী:

আনন্দধারা প্রকল্পে প্রায় ৫ হাজার স্বনির্ভর দল গঠিত হয়েছে।

বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ স্বনির্ভর কর্মসূচী প্রকল্পে সাড়ে ৭  হাজারেরও  বেশি প্রকল্পের অনুমোদন দেওয়া হয়েছে এবং প্রায় ৩৭ কোটি টাকা অনুদান প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

জেলায় বিভিন্ন দপ্তরের মোট ৫টি কর্মতীর্থ নির্মাণের কাজ শুরু হয়েছিল, যার মধ্যে ইতিমধ্যেই মাথাভাঙ্গা-১ ব্লকে ১টির কাজ সমাপ্ত হয়েছে, বাকী গুলির কাজ চলছে।

পুর ও নগরোন্নয়ণ:

বর্তমানে কোচবিহার জেলায় ৬টি মিউনিসিপ্যালিটি বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে প্রায় ১৩৫কোটি টাকার ও বেশি পরিকল্পনা খাতে ব্যয় করেছে। শহরাঞ্চলে গরীবদের জন্যে আড়াই হাজারেরও বেশি বাসস্থান নির্মিত হয়েছে।

তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি:

বর্তমানে কোচবিহার জেলায় প্রায় ২ হাজার লোকশিল্পী রিটেনার ফি ও পেনশন পাচ্ছেন। আরও প্রায় ৬০০ লোকশিল্পী রিটেনার ফি ও পেনশন পেতে চলেছেন।

আবাসন:

জেলায় আর্থিক ভাবে দুর্বল মানুষদের জন্যে গীতাঞ্জলী ও অন্যান্য প্রকল্পে ৭ হাজারের বেশি বাসস্থান নির্মিত হচ্ছে, এর মধ্যে ৩ হাজারের বেশি বাসস্থানের নির্মাণ কাজ ইতিমধ্যেই সমাপ্ত হয়ে গেছে। আরও ৪ হাজার বাসস্থান নির্মাণ আগামী মে মাসের মধ্যে সম্পন্ন হবে।

ক্রীড়া ও যুব কল্যাণ:

ক্রীড়ার মান উন্নয়নে কোচবিহার জেলায় মোট ১৪৯টি ক্লাবকে অর্থ সাহায্য করা হয়েছে।

জেলায় ৩৭টি মাল্টি জিম সেন্টার গড়ে তুলতে ৭৪ লক্ষ টাকা প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

স্বরাষ্ট্র:

কোচবিহার জেলায় নতুন থানা হিসাবে, কোচবিহার মহিলা থানা স্থাপন করা হয়েছে।

উত্তরবঙ্গ উন্নয়ন:-

কোচবিহার জেলায় উত্তরবঙ্গ উন্নয়ন দপ্তর অনেকগুলি কাজ করছে, তার মধ্যে অন্যতম হল :- বক্সিরহাট, ঘোকষাডাঙা, দেওয়ানহাট ও নিশিগঞ্জ কলেজ ভবন নির্মাণ, মানসী নদীর পাড় বাঁধাই, কাপাইডাঙা থেকে বোচামারি পর্য্যন্ত রাস্তা নির্মাণ , পঞ্চানন বর্মা ইউনিভারসিটি নির্মাণ, মাথাভাঙায় নতুন পলিটেকনিক নির্মাণ, হরিণচাওড়ায় কোচবিহার ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং কলেজ নির্মাণ, কালজানি নদীর উপর সেতু নির্মাণ , ভোগরামপুরে ইকো-ট্যুরিজিম ও পিকনিক স্পট নির্মাণ, শালবাড়ি-তে মারা রাইডাক নদীর উপর  সেতু নির্মাণ, অত্যাধুনিক বাতানকুল অডিটোরিয়াম নির্মাণ।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee once again criticised the Prime Minister for Centre’s demonetisation move on Monday. She said that the move has hit the poor of country badly, adding that the statement issued by PM is “bad in taste”.

“The PM in his speech had said the poor are sleeping peacefully. This is an insult to commoners and in bad taste. My humble suggestion is not to hit the common people like this ,” she said.

Mamata Banerjee had earlier given a call for a “joint movement” by Opposition parties against the Centre to give people some respite from the ongoing “financial anarchy” that has been caused due to the decision to demonetise Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes.

On Sunday, she had tweeted: “This is not an ego battle. I humbly appeal again to the Govt at the Centre. Save the common people from more suffering,and the country from financial catastrophe, by withdrawing this hasty decision. First please put a proper action plan in place. Breathing space for people. Today I spoke with several political leaders regarding a joint movement and to meet Rashtrapati Ji together. Let us all fight this together to give relief to common citizens, the poor and stop this financial anarchy.”

In the last five years, East Medinipur has seen a surge of development, keeping up with other districts in Bengal. Around 85% of the people in the district are getting aid from government schemes.

 

 

 

Health and Family Welfare

  • Nandigram will be developed as a separate district
  • Four Fair Price Medicine Shops have been opened in Kanthi, tamluk, haldia and Egra. This has benefitted more than five and a half crore people in the district with a discount of Rs 11.58 crore
  • Fair Price Diagnostic Centre started in Tamluk district hospital
  • Two SNCUs opened in Tamluk and Egra hospital
  • 20 SNSUs have opened in the district. CCU opened in Tamluk district hospital
  • Multi super-specialty hospital opened in Panskura

 

Education

  • A new building has been erected in Shahid Matangini Hazra Women’s College
  • Two ITIs established in Egra-1 and Kathi-2 blocks
  • Kolkaghat Polytechnic is operational
  • More than 1.55 lakh students have received bicycles under Sabuj Sathi Scheme
  • 12 primary schools and 342 upper primary schools have been established in the last five years
  • 47 primary schools have been upgraded to upper primary schools and 157 secondary schools have been upgraded to higher secondary schools
  • Mid-day meals in all schools have led to the children becoming healthier and has reduced the number of absentees

 

Agriculture and Animal Husbandry

  • Around 6.20 lakh (97%) farmers have received Kisan Credit Cards
  • Five farmers’ markets established in Panskura-1, Nandigram, Bhagwanpur-2, and Patashpur-1A blocks
  • More than 9,000 landless families have been awarded NGNB patta
  • Due to the work done by the Fisheries department, more than 30 thousand fishermen have benefitted
  • The Animal Husbandry department has distributed more than 13.5 lakh chieckens and ducklings

 

Panchayat and Rural Development

  • In the last four-and-a-half years, more than Rs 1400 crore have been spent to create 6 crore man days under 100 days work
  • Under rural road scheme 312 km of roads have been constructed
  • More than 78,000 houses have been built under Indira Awaas Yojana
  • Under Mission Nirmal Bangla, around 1.40 lakh toilets have been built

 

Minority Welfare

  • More than 2 lakh students from minority classes have received scholarships worth Rs 30 crore
  • Around Rs 14 crore have been given to youth from minority classes to help them become self-sustained
  • More than Rs 5 crore has been spent under various MSDP schemes for development of the minority community
  • Karma Tirthas are being developed in Panskura-1, Panskura-2, Patashpur-2, and Sutahata-1 blocks

 

Backward Classes Welfare and Adivasi Development

  • Almost 47,000 students receiving assistance under the Sikshashree Scheme
  • Around 1.44 lakh SC/ST/OBC certificates have been given out

 

Women and Child Development

  • 2.25 lakh students are receiving aid under the Kanyashree Scheme

 

Khadya Sathi

  • More than 38 lakh people in the district are getting foodgrains at Rs. 2 per kg

  • An Industrial Growth Centre is being set up in Haldia on more than 10 acres of land, which will bring employment to more than three thousand people
  • 25 clusters have been set up in the district to aid micro, small and medium enterprises

  • Digha-Kolkata helicopter service has started
  • The PWD Department has taken up 130 projects out of which 94 have been completed at a cost of Rs 256 crore
  • More than 578 km of roads constructed/repaired/renovated

  • 100% electrification of rural areas under the Shobar Ghore Alo Scheme

 

Irrigation

  • 234 km of irrigation dams have been renovated
  • Kalaghai-Kapaleshwari-Bagai canal renovated at a cost of Rs 650 crore

Public Health Engineering

  • 66 drinking water-related projects taken up, out which 30 have been completed at a total cost of Rs 103 crore

  • Digha Gate has been constructed in a record time of just 18 months at a cost of Rs 6.5 crore
  • Watch towers set up in Didha, Shankarpur, Tajpur, and Mandarmani

 

Labour

  • Around 6.21 lakh unorganised workers receiving assistance under State-Assisted Scheme of Provident Fund for Unorganised Workers
  • More than 22,000 transport workers registered under West Bengal Transport Workers’ Social Security Scheme
  • More than 3,000 youth receiving assistance under Yuvashree Scheme

 

Self-Help Groups

  • 7,400 self help groups created under Anandadhara Scheme
  • A total of 13 Karma Tirthas established in the district

 

Urban Development

  • Rs 175 crore have been spent on various schemes in five municipalities

 

Information and Culture

  • More than 5000 artistes are getting a retainer fee and pension at present

 

In the last five years, the Trinamool Congress Government has ensured developments in all areas across all districts. Projects have been completed covering all departments of the administration.

 

পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর জেলায় উন্নয়ন এক নজরে

রাজ্য ও অন্যান্য জেলার সঙ্গে তাল মিলিয়ে বিগত সাড়ে চার বছর সময়কালে অভূতপূর্ব উন্নয়ন ঘটেছে এই পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর জেলায়।এই জেলায় বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে ৮৫ শতাংশ মানুষের কাছে বিভিন্ন সরকারী প্রকল্পের সুবিধা পৌঁছে দেওয়া গেছে।

স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যান :

নন্দীগ্রামকে পৃথক স্বাস্থ্য জেলা হিসাবে গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে ।

কাঁথি, তমলুক, হলদিয়া ও এগরা হাসপাতালে ৪টি ন্যায্য মূল্যের ওষুধের দোকান চালু হয়ে গেছে। দীঘা মহকুমা হাসপাতালে একটি ন্যায্য মূল্যের ওষুধের দোকান খুব শীঘ্রই চালু হয়ে যাবে।

জেলার এই সকল ন্যায্য মূল্যের ওষুধের দোকান থেকে ওষুধ কেনার ফলে সাড়ে ৫ লক্ষের বেশি মানুষ ১১ কোটি ৫৮ লক্ষ টাকার ছাড় পেয়েছেন।

তমলুক জেলা হাসপাতালে ন্যায্য মূল্যের ডায়াগনস্টিক কেন্দ্র চালু হয়ে গেছে।

তমলুক ও এগরা হাসপাতালে ২টি SNCU চালু হয়ে গেছে।

জেলায় ২০টি SNSU চালু হয়ে গেছে।

তমলুক জেলা হাসপাতালে একটি ইইঞ চালু হয়ে গেছে।

পাঁশকুড়ায় একটি নতুন মাল্টি-সুপার স্পেশালিটি হাসপাতাল চালু হয়ে গেছে।

তমলুক জেলা হাসপাতালে একটি নার্সিং ট্রেনিং স্কুল নির্মিত হচ্ছে।

শিক্ষা :

শহীদ মাতঙ্গিনী হাজরা মহিলা কলেজের নতুন ভবন নির্মিত হয়েছে এবংপঠন-পাঠন শুরু হয়ে গেছে।

এগরা-১ ও কাঁথি-২ (দেশপ্রাণ) ব্লকে ২টি নতুন আইটি আই নির্মান সম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে।

পাশাপাশি কাঁথি-৩, নন্দীগ্রাম-১ ও মহিষাদল ব্লকে ৩টি নতুন আইটি আই গড়ে তোলা হচ্ছে। খেজুরি, রামনগর-১ ও চন্ডীপুরে আইটি আই গড়ে তোলা হবে।

কোলাঘাট পলিটেকনিক চালু হয়ে গেছে।

এই জেলায় প্রায় ১ লক্ষ ৫৫ হাজার ছাত্র-ছাত্রীকে সবুজসাথী প্রকল্পে সাইকেল প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

বিগত সাড়ে ৪ বছরে জেলায় নতুন ১২টি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় ও ৩৪২টি উচ্চ প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।

সব স্কুলে মিড-ডে-মিল চলছে যার ফলে পুষ্টি এবং উপস্থিতির হার বেড়েছে এবং স্কুল ছুট ছাত্রের সংখ্যা কমেছে।

প্রতিটি বিদ্যালয়ে ছেলে ও মেয়েদের জন্যে পৃথক শৌচাগার নির্মিত হয়েছে।

কৃষি, ভূমি সংস্কার,মৎস্য ও পশুপালন :

এই জেলার প্রায় ৬ লক্ষ ২০ হাজার (৯৭%) কৃষিজিবী পরিবারের হাতে কিষাণ ক্রেডিট কার্ড তুলে দেওয়া হয়েছে।

বিগত সাড়ে ৪ বছরে, ৯ হাজারেরও বেশি ভূমিহীন পরিবারকে পাট্টা প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

পঞ্চায়েত ও গ্রামোন্নয়ন :

বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে ১০০ দিনের কাজে প্রায় ১৪০০ কোটি টাকা ব্যয় করে প্রায় ৬ কোটি শ্রম দিবস সৃষ্টি হয়েছে।

গ্রামীণ সড়ক যোজনায় ৩১২ কিমি রাস্তা নির্মিত হয়ে গেছে।

গত সাড়ে ৪ বছরে জেলায় ৭৮ হাজারেরও বেশি ইন্দিরা আবাসন ঘর করা হয়েছে।

জেলায় মিশন নির্মল বাংলা প্রকল্পে বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে প্রায় ১ লক্ষ ৪০ হাজার শৌচালয় নির্মান সম্পূণ হয়েছে।

সংখ্যালঘু উন্নয়ন:

বিগত সাড়ে ৪ বছরে, ২ লক্ষেরও বেশি সংখ্যালঘু ছাত্র-ছাত্রীকে প্রায় ৩০ কোটি টাকা স্কলারশিপ প্রদান করা হয়েছে। আরও প্রায় ৫৫ হাজার ছাত্রছাত্রী আগামী মে মাসের মধ্যে স্কলারশিপ পেতে চলেছে।

এছাড়া স্বনির্ভরতার জন্য সংখ্যালঘু যুবক-যুবতীদের প্রায় ১৪ কোটি টাকা ঋণ প্রদান করা হয়েছে। আরও ৪ কোটি টাকা ঋণ প্রদান করা হবে আগামী মে মাসের মধ্যে।

খজঈঙ-তে ৫ কোটি টাকা ব্যয় করে সংখ্যালঘু সম্প্রদায়ের উন্নয়নে  বিবিধ প্রকল্প রূপায়িত করা হয়েছে।

পাঁশকুড়া-১, পাঁশকুড়া-২, পটাশপুর-২ ও সূতাহাটা-১ কর্মতীর্থ নির্মাণের কাজ চলছে।

অনগ্রসর কল্যান ও আদিবাসী উন্নয়ন:

প্রায় ৪৭ হাজার ছাত্র-ছাত্রী শিক্ষাশ্রী প্রকল্পে সহায়তা পাচ্ছে।

বিগত সাড়ে ৪ বছরে, প্রায় ১ লক্ষ ৪৪ হাজার জাতি শংসাপত্র প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

হলদিয়াতে ১টি শিল্প তালুক গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।

ক্ষুদ্র শিল্পের ক্ষেত্রে বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে এই জেলায় ৪৫৩০ কোটি ব্যাঙ্ক ঋণ প্রদান করা হয়েছে, আগামী বছর মে মাসের মধ্যে আরও অতিরিক্ত ৬৬০ কোটি ব্যাঙ্ক ঋণ দেওয়া হবে।

পূর্ত ও পরিবহন :

যাত্রী সুবিধার্থে কলকাতা-দীঘা হেলিকপ্টার পরিষেবা চালু হয়ে গেছে।

বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে এই জেলায় পূর্ত দপ্তর ১৩০টি প্রকল্প রূপায়ণের কাজ হাতে নিয়েছে, যার মধ্যে ৯৪টি প্রকল্পের কাজ প্রায় ২৫৬ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে ইতিমধ্যেই সমাপ্ত হয়েছে।

জেলায় বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে ৫৭৪ কিমি রাস্তা নির্মান/পুর্ননির্মান/সম্প্রসারণ ও উন্নীতকরণের কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।

বিদ্যুৎ ও অচিরাচরিত শক্তি:

সমগ্র পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর জেলায় জ্ঞসবার ঘরে আলোঞ্চ প্রকল্পে ১০০% গ্রামীণ বৈদ্যুতিকরণের কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।

সেচ:

২৩৪ কিমি দৈর্ঘ্যের বাঁধ সংরক্ষণের কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।

পাঁশকুড়া-১ ও ২ ব্লক সহ পূর্ব ও পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলার মোট ১২টি ব্লকে বন্যা নিয়ন্ত্রণের জন্য প্রায় ২ হাজার কোটি টাকার ঘাটাল মাস্টার প্ল্যান অনুমোদিত হয়েছে।

দীঘা-শঙ্করপুর সৈকতে ১০.৫ কিমি সমুদ্র ভাঙ্গন প্রতিরোধ ও ৭.৫ কিমি সৌন্দর্যায়ন প্রকল্প রূপায়িত হয়েছে। এই প্রকল্প রূপায়িত হওয়ার ফলে পর্যটকদের কাছে দীঘার আকর্ষণ আরও বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে।

প্রায় সাড়ে ৪ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে ময়না ব্লকের চন্ডিকা নদীর উপরে এজমালিচক ও শ্রীধরপুরে ২টি সেতু এবং নন্দকুমার ব্লকের প্রতাপখালি খালের উপরে দক্ষিণ-নারিকেলদা সেতুর নির্মান করা হয়েছে।

প্রায় ৪ কোটি ব্যয়ে এগরা-২ ব্লকের বালিঘাই-বারোমাইল খাল এবং দেশপ্রান ব্লকের মীর্জাপুর খালের পুনঃখননের কাজ শুরু হয়েছে।

জনস্বাস্থ্য কারিগরী:

বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে ১০৩ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে ৬৬টি জলপ্রকল্পের কাজ শুরু হয়েছে, এর মধ্যে ৩০টির কাজ সমাপ্ত হয়েছে। এর ফলে জেলার প্রায় সাড়ে ৪ লক্ষ মানুষ উপকৃত হচ্ছেন। আরও ১০টি জলপ্রকল্পের কাজ আগামী মে মাসের মধ্যে সমাপ্ত হবে।

পর্যটন:

মাত্র আঠারো মাসের রের্কড সময়ে দীঘা গেট (সাড়ে ৬ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে) নির্মান করা হয়েছে।

এছাড়া দীঘা, শঙ্করপুর, তাজপুর ও মান্দারমনিতে ওয়াচ্‌ টাওয়ার, দীঘায় বিশ্ববাংলা উদ্যান, দীঘা যুব আবাসের অধুনিকীকরণ, নয়াকালী মন্দির পর্যন্ত সমুদ্র তীরবর্তী রাস্তা, দীঘা-মোহনা রাস্তা সহ মোট ৯টি প্রকল্পের কাজ সম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে।

আড়াই কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে দীঘায় বিশ্ববাংলা উদ্যান-এর সমম্প্রসারন সহ গাড়ী পার্কিং ও সংশ্লিষ্ট অন্যান্য সকল পরিষেবা নির্মানের কাজ চলছে।

দীঘা-কলকাতা হেলিকপ্টার পরিষেবার সূচনা হয়েছে।

স্বনির্ভর দল ও স্বনিযুক্তি কর্মসূচী:

আনন্দধারা প্রকল্পে ৭৪০০টি স্বনির্ভর দল গঠিত হয়েছে, আগামী মে মাসের মধ্যে আরও ৩২০০টি স্বনির্ভর দল গঠিত হতে চলেছে।

জেলায় মোট ১৩টি কর্মতীর্থ গড়ে তোলা হচ্ছে ; এর মধ্যে ২টির নির্মাণ কাজ সমাপ্ত হয়েছে।

বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে স্বামী বিবেকান্দ স্বনির্ভর কর্মসূচী প্রকল্পে ৭ হাজার প্রকল্পের অনুমোদন দেওয়া হয়েছে এবং প্রায় ৪৫ কোটি টাকা অনুদান প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

পুর ও নগরোন্নয়ন :

পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর জেলায় ৫টি মিউনিসিপ্যালিটি বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে প্রায় ১৭৫ কোটি টাকা পরিকল্পনা খাতে ব্যয় করেছে। শহরাঞ্চলে গরীবদের জন্যে প্রায় ৩৩০০টি বাসস্থান নির্মিত হয়েছে।

তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি :

বর্তমানে পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর জেলায় প্রায় ৫ হাজার লোকশিল্পী রিটেনার ফি ও পেনশন পাচ্ছেন। আরও প্রায় ২৫০ লোকশিল্পী রিটেনার ফি ও পেনশন পেতে চলেছেন।

আবাসন :

পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর জেলায় আর্থিক ভাবে দুর্বল মানুষদের জন্যে গীতাঞ্জলী ও অন্যান্য প্রকল্পে প্রায় সাড়ে ৮ হাজার বাসস্থান নির্মিত হচ্ছে, এর মধ্যে ৫ হাজার বাসস্থান নির্মিত হয়ে গেছে।

ক্রীড়া ও যুব কল্যান :

পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর জেলায় তমলুকে স্পোর্টস কমপ্লেক্স নির্মাণের প্রথম পর্যায়ের কাজও কাঁথিতে অরবিন্দ স্টেডিয়াম সংস্কারের কাজ শেষ হয়েছে।

ক্রীড়ার মান উন্নয়নে বিগত দু বছরে ক্রীড়া দপ্তর জেলায় মোট ৮২৬টি ক্লাবকে অর্থ সাহায্য করেছে।

জেলায় ১০৭টি মাল্টি জিম সেন্টার গড়ে তুলতে ২ কোটি ১৪ লক্ষ টাকা প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

স্বরাষ্ট্র :

জেলায় নতুন থানা হিসাবে কাঁথি মহিলা থানা ও হলদিয়া মহিলা থানা এবং মন্দারমণি উপকূলীয় থানা, জুনপুট উপকূলীয় থানা ও নয়াচর উপকূলীয় থানা স্থাপন করা হয়েছে।

Abhishek Banerjee on Sunday appealed to everyone, specially the younger generation to assist the elderly, physically challenged, pregnant women, labourers, farmers and workers in bank queues.

He wrote: “I urge everyone, especially the younger generation and all brothers and sisters of our state, to do our bit in assisting the elderly, the physically challenged, pregnant women, labourers, farmers, workers and all those who are very worried and do not know how to fill bank forms and physically lack the strength to stand in long queues.

Please reach out and help them. Let us help each other irrespective of caste, creed, religion and political affinity. Try and make drinking water arrangements outside ATMs and bank branches with the consent and approval central/state/local authorities. There’s no bigger religion in the world than HUMANITY.

Let’s rise up and do our bit for a better tomorrow.”

 

মানুষের পাশে থাকার আবেদন অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের

রবিবার অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় সবার কাছে বিশেষভাবে তরুণ প্রজন্মকে মানুষের পাশে থাকার আবেদন জানান। বৃদ্ধ, শারীরিকভাবে প্রতিবন্ধী, গর্ভবতী নারী ব্যাংক লাইনে দাঁড়িয়ে কৃষক ও শ্রমিকদের সহায়তা করার আবেদন জানান তরুণ প্রজন্মকে।

তিনি বলেন, “আমি সকলকে আহ্বান জানাচ্ছি, বিশেষ করে রাজ্যের যুবসমাজকে, যে তারা যেন জাতি, ধর্ম, রাজনৈতিক মতভেদ অগ্রাহ্য করে বয়স্কদের, প্রতিবন্ধিদের, গর্ভবতী মহিলাদের, শ্রমিকদের, চাষীদের এবং বাকি সকলকে যাদের লম্বা লাইনে দাঁড়ানোর ক্ষমতা নেই কিংবা যাদের ব্যাঙ্ক ফর্ম ভরার পদ্ধতি জানা নেই, উপযুক্ত সাহায্য করে। ওদেরকে এটিএম-র এবং ব্যঙ্কের বাইরে, উপযুক্ত প্রশাসনিক সম্মতি নিয়ে, পানীয় জলের সুব্যাবস্থা রাখার আর্জি জানাচ্ছি। পৃথিবীতে মনুষ্যত্বের চেয়ে বড় আর কোনো ধর্ম নেই।

চলুন আমরা সবাই মিলে এক সুন্দরতর ভবিষ্যত গড়ার চেষ্টা করি।”
