The Bengal Transport department has decided to engage two trained men in each of the 279 jetties across the state which are to be upgraded soon. The trained personnel would be tasked to keep a tab on whether the drop gates are functioning properly and to ensure that passengers beyond the capacity of the jetties do not board them at a time.

Experts have framed a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) which must be followed on all the jetties and accordingly, the identified 279 will be upgraded. There will be drop gates on the jetties to restrict excessive loading of passengers on each vessel. At the same time, there will be life jackets that passengers have to put on to ferry across the river on vessels and arrangements will be made for proper illumination on board.

“In a bid to ensure that the SOP is followed, it has been decided that two trained men will be engaged in each of the jetties. Agencies will be engaged to deploy those trained men,” said Bengal  Transport Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday, adding that out of these jetties, 28 are in Hooghly, 60 in North 24 Parganas, 16 in Howrah, 12 in South 24 Parganas and 11 of the West Bengal Transport Corporation.

He also informed that there will be an investment of around Rs 10 lakh for the upgradation of each of the jetties and Rs 5 lakh has already been released. The state Transport department has taken the initiative to upgrade some of the 279 jetties to model ones. There will be an investment of around Rs 3.5 crore to build each of the model jetties. There are already 18 model jetties in the state built in the last financial year.

 

রাজ্যের ২৬৯টি মডেল জেটিতে থাকবেন সুরক্ষা কর্মীরা

রাজ্যে ২৬৯টি জেটিকে মডেল জেটি হিসাবে তৈরি করা হবে বলে বুধবার বিধানসভায় জানালেন পরিবহণমন্ত্রী শুভেন্দু অধিকারি। রাজ্য সরকার জেটি রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ ও যাত্রী সুরক্ষার কথা মাথায় রেখে কতগুলি পদক্ষেপ নিয়েছে।

ওই মডেল জেটি তৈরির জন্য ১০ লক্ষ টাকা করে খরচ করা হবে। জেলাশাসকদের ওই টাকা দেওয়া হয়েছে। প্রত্যেক জেটিতে দু’জন করে নুলিয়া রাখা হবে। যাঁরা সর্বদা নজর রাখবেন। অতিরিক্ত যাত্রী নেওয়া যাবে না। জেটিতে ড্রপগেট লাগানো হবে। পরিবহণ দপ্তর সব জেটির নিয়ন্ত্রণ নেবে। অস্থায়ী জেটি থাকবে না।

শুভেন্দু অধিকারি জানান, জেটি রক্ষণাবেক্ষণে স্ট্যান্ডার্ড অপারেটিং প্রসিডিওর (এসওপি) সংক্রান্ত নির্দেশিকা জারি করা হয়েছে। এই নির্দেশিকা অনুযায়ী মুখ্যসচিবের সভাপতিত্বে সংশ্লিষ্ট দপ্তর এবং সকল জেলাশাসকদের নিয়ে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে জরুরি ভিত্তিতে জেটি বা ফেরিঘাটে প্রয়োজনীয় সংস্কার করতে নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে।

যাত্রী নিরাপত্তার কথা মাথায় রেখে জেটি ও ফেরিঘাটে যাত্রীদের সতর্কতামূলক সুরক্ষা সংক্রান্ত বিভিন্ন তথ্য সম্বলিত নোটিস বোর্ড লাগানো হবে।

যান্ত্রিক নৌকা চালানোর জন্য জলধারা প্রকল্পের পরিকল্পনা করেছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। সেই প্রকল্প সম্পর্কে ব্যাখ্যা করে শুভেন্দু বলেন, এই প্রকল্পে মাথাপিছু সর্বাধিক এক লক্ষ টাকা অনুদান দেবে রাজ্য সরকার।

To mark the completion of the sixth year of the Trinamool Congress government, a blood donation camp will be organised in the state Secretariat Nabanna on May 27.

Chief Minister had directed the organisation of blood donation camps across the state with the target of collecting 50,000 units. The decision was taken to overcome the acute shortage of blood during summers. The state government will be introducing 52 new ambulances. State government employees will donate blood in the camp that will be organised in the state secretariat.

On May 20, 2011 Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had taken oath. After returning to power in 2016, the Chief Minister had taken oath on May 27. Thus, to mark the completion of the sixth year of the Mamata Banerjee government, it was decided that blood donation camps will be held in the state from May 20 to 27 this year.

Blood donation camps are being organised at different places both by members of the ruling party as well as by different civic bodies. The police are also organising blood donation camps with a target of collecting 20,000 of the total 50,000 units.

After came to power in 2011 the Trinamool government has changed the face of healthcare service in the state by taking several measures. Now, with the introduction of 52 ambulances, hundreds of people will be benefitted.

The state government has also organised a one-month-long programme from May 20 to June 20 to mark the completion of the sixth year of the government. Tableaus displaying different development projects of the state governments are reaching the grass-root level in districts through this month-long initiative.

 

দ্বিতীয় সরকারের বর্ষপূর্তিতে রক্তদান শিবিরের আয়োজন নবান্নে

আগামী ২৭ তারিখ মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের দ্বিতীয় সরকারের বর্ষপূর্তি হতে চলেছে। এই  উপলক্ষে নবান্নে রক্তদান শিবিরের আয়োজন করবে রাজ্য সরকার।

একইসঙ্গে নবান্নে ৫২টি নতুন অ্যাম্বুলেন্সের উদ্বোধন করবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। সেইসব অ্যাম্বুলেন্স বিভিন্ন জেলায় পাঠানো হবে। নবান্নে রক্তদান শিবিরে সরকারি কর্মচারীরা রক্তদান করবেন। শুধু নবান্ন নয়, ওই দিন জেলাতেও বর্ষপূর্তি পালন করা হবে। জেলায় জেলায় রক্তদান অনুষ্ঠান করা হবে।

গ্রীষ্মকালীন রক্তসংকট কাটাতে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় রাজনৈতিক ও প্রশাসনিকভাবে রক্তদানের উদ্যোগ নিয়েছেন। দলীয় কর্মীদের তো বটেই পুলিশকেও রক্তদান শিবিরের আয়োজন করতে নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে।

এর আগে ২০ মে নবান্ন থেকে দুটি ট্যাবলো ছাড়া হয়। যেখানে সরকারের কন্যাশ্রীসহ নানা কর্মসূচি তুলে ধরা হয়। ২০১১ সালে ২০ মে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হিসাবে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় প্রথম শপথ নিয়েছিলেন। সেইদিনকে স্মরণ করেই ওই ট্যাবলো ছাড়া হয়েছে। ২০১৬ সালে দ্বিতীয় বারের জন্য জিতে শপথ নিয়েছিলেন ২৭ মে। সেই দিনটিকে স্মরণ করতেই নবান্নে অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হবে।

The Bengal Government is enthusiastically developing the district of Purulia as a tourist destination. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had, during a public meeting in the distinct, stressed on the potential of Purulia as a destination for tourists, and the present initiatives are a result of that.

A decision has been taken to develop a tourism circuit in the district by stringing together spots in the Ayodhya Hills region.

As a part of that, roads have already been built connecting the spots to Jhalda, Baghmundi and Balarampur. The less-known but equally beautiful tourist spots are also in the process of being connected through roads.

The State Government has also chalked out plans to build tourist resorts. Private operators are also being encouraged in these ventures.

Some of the prominent tourist spots of the district, besides the Ayodhya Hills, are the Jaichandi and Garpanchakot Hills, Kashipur Rajbari, Koshjuri, Baranti Bird Sanctuary, the forst of Dandahit, Muraddi Lake, Garpanchakot, Bandwan Duarsini, Doladanga, etc.

 

পর্যটনে পুরুলিয়ার গুচ্ছ প্রকল্প

পুরুলিয়া জেলা সফরে এসে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় পুরুলিয়া সার্কিট হাউসে বসে একটি কবিতা লিখেছিলেন। পরদিন পুরুলিয়ার বেলকুড়ি ময়দানে সেই কবিতা পাঠ করে বুঝিয়ে দিয়েছিলেন এবার পুরুলিয়ার পর্যটন শিল্পকে বিশেষ গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হবে। মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর সেই ঘোষণা এবার কার্যকরী হতে চলেছে।

জানা গিয়েছে অযোধ্যা পাহাড়ের সুন্দর কেন্দ্রগুলিকে নিয়ে সার্কিট ট্যুরিজম বা গুচ্ছ পর্যটন ব্যাবস্থা গড়ে তোলার উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হচ্ছে। ইতিমধ্যে পাহাড়ের পরিচিত পর্যটন স্থলগুলিকে হিলটপ ও ঝালদা-বাঘমুন্ডি-বলরামপুরের সাথে যুক্ত করা হয়েছে সড়কপথের মাধ্যমে। যেসব পর্যটনস্থলগুলি তেমন পরিচিত নয়, সেগুলিকে রাস্তা দিয়ে যুক্ত করা হবে। অযোধ্যা পাহাড়ের একাধিক পর্যটন ক্ষেত্রে পর্যটন আবাস গড়ে তোলার উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়েছে। প্রশাসন সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে বেসরকারি উদ্যোগকে স্বাগত জানানো হয়েছে সমস্ত ক্ষেত্রেই। মন্ত্রী শান্তিরাম মাহাতো বলেছেন, “পুরুলিয়ার পর্যটন শিল্পের বিকাশে অযোধ্যা পাহাড়ের পাশাপাশি অন্য এলাকা যেমন জয়চন্ডী পাহাড়, গড়পঞ্চকোট পাহাড়কে গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হচ্ছে। পাহাড় ছাড়াও কাশীপুর রাজবাড়ি, কোশজুড়ি, বড়ন্তি পাখিরালয়, দন্ডহিত অরণ্য, মুরাড্ডি জলাধার, পঞ্চকোট রাজপরিবারের ইতিহাস সমৃদ্ধ গড়পঞ্চকোট, বান্দোয়ানের দুয়ারসিনি, দোলাডাঙা-সহ বেশ কয়েকটি জায়গার কথা মুখ্যমন্ত্রী তার ওই কবিতায় তুলে ধরেন। সেই বিষয়কে মাথায় রেখে পর্যটনে উন্নয়ন ঘটানো হচ্ছে।”

মন্ত্রীর দাবি, প্রয়োজনে পুরুলিয়ার পর্যটন ক্ষেত্রগুলির উন্নয়নে একটি বিশেষ বোর্ড গঠন করা হবে। যে বোর্ড পুরো স্বাধীন ভাবে এলাকা ভিত্তিক উন্নয়নের কাজ করবে।

The unused plots of land in Bankura district are being developed by the State Government into fruit farms. The project would start with a farm on 810 hectares unused piece of land, spread over Ranibandh, Raipur, Simlapal, Onda, Taldangra, Hirbandh and Indopur blocks.

This is part of a mega project named as’Horticulture Development in Paschimanchal Districts’. Five districts forming the western region of the State are part of this – Bankura, Purulia, Paschim Medinipur, Birbhum and Paschim Bardhaman.

Among the fruit trees to be planted are those of mango, mosambi (sweet lemon), pomegranate, guave, orange, plum and custard apple.

The farmers who agree to plant fruit trees in these plats of land would be given all forms of assistance by the State Government, including in selling the fruits outside the State.

 

পশ্চিমাঞ্চলের পতিত জমিতে ফল চাষের পরিকল্পনা রাজ্য সরকারের

পতিত জমিকে এবার ফল গাছ চাষের মাধ্যমে সবুজ করার একটি মেগা প্রকল্প নিল রাজ্য সরকার। প্রকল্পটির নামকরণ করা হয়েছে ‘হর্টিকালচার ডেভেলপমেন্ট ইন পশ্চিমাঞ্চল ডিস্ট্রিক্টস।’

এই প্রকল্পের মধ্যে আসবে রাজ্যের পশ্চিমাঞ্চল এলাকার পাঁচটি জেলা। জেলাগুলি হল, বাঁকুড়া, পুরুলিয়া, পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর, বীরভূম ও পশ্চিম বর্ধমান। জেলায় অকেজো জমির পরিমাণ প্রচুর হওয়ায় এই প্রকল্পে বাঁকুড়া জেলাকে বিশেষ গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়েছে। ৮১০হেক্টর পতিত জমিতে প্রথম পর্যায়ে ফলের বাগান গড়ে তোলার পরিকল্পনা নিল সরকার।

ফলগুলির মধ্যে আছে আম, মুসম্বি, বেদানা, পেয়ারা, কমলালেবু, বড় কুল এবং আতা। যে ৮১০ হেক্টর জমি চিহ্নিত করা হয়েছে তাঁর বেশীরভাগটাই ব্যাক্তি মালিকানাধীন। এই জমিগুলি রাণীবাঁধ, রাইপুর, সিমলাপাল, ওন্দা, তালডাংরা, হিড়বাঁধ ও ইন্দপুর ব্লকের মধ্যে পড়ছে।

উদ্দেশ্য চাষীদের এই প্রকল্পের সঙ্গে যুক্ত করা। চাষীরা এই প্রকল্পের অধীন ফলের বাগান করলে যাবতীয় খরচ বহন করবে সরকার। চাষীরা পাবে বিনামুল্যে চারা, সার, ওষুধ এমনকি যে জমিতে ফলের বাগান তৈরি করা হবে তার চারদিকে বেড়া দেওয়ার খরচও সরকারের কাছ থেকে পাবেন চাষীরা। প্রথম দফায় ৪ লক্ষ চারা চাষীদের মধ্যে বিলি করা হবে। বর্ষা শুরুর সঙ্গে সঙ্গেই চারা বিলির কাজ শুরু হয়ে যাবে।

বাগান থেকে যে ফল উৎপন্ন হবে, তা রপ্তানীকারকের মাধ্যমে বাজারজাত করার ব্যাবস্থা করবে সরকার। ফলের বাগানে সবজি চাষও করা হবে এবং সেই চাষের জন্যও যাবতীয় খরচ বহন করবে সরকার। যে সবজিগুলো চাষ হবে তা হল , আদা, হলুদ, পেঁয়াজ, রসুন, শসা, উচ্ছে, গাজর ও বিট। এর ফলে চাষীদের আর্থিক ব্যবস্থার অনেক উন্নতি হবে।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s brainchild, the Sabuj Sathi Scheme, is now spawning travel enthusiasts well.

From childhood, Tirthakumar Roy, of Paharpur Natuapara in Jalpaiguri district, had always wanted to explore the natural and cultural diversity of Bengal. Over the past year, this 19-year-old is making that come true on board the bicycle he got through the State Government’s Sabuj Sathi Scheme last year, when he was in class XI.

Despite the pressure of studies, he is making good on his wish, such is his enthusiasm. He started his journey from his hometown on March 16, 2016. He has covered the districts of Cooch Behar, Alipurduar, Darjeeling, Uttar Dinajpur , Dakshin Dinajpur. The GPS on his mobile phone helps him find his way along.

Since he was studying in class XII over the last year, he carried his books along. Wherever he went, he studied at the local school with permission.

After his Higher Secondary exams got over on March 27, on April 14 this year, he again started off on his journey. Wherever he has went, the local administration has helped him. He has plans to cover 341 blocks of the State.

Through his journey, Tirthankar has proved that where there is a will, there is a way, and Sabuj Sathi is there to help him along.

 

স্বপ্ন পূরণ করল ‘সবুজসাথী’র সাইকেল

গোটা বাংলা অর্থাৎ পশ্চিমবঙ্গ দেখার ইচ্ছে–পূরণে ছাত্রের বাহন ‘সবুজসাথী’।

অচেনাকে চেনার আনন্দ উপভোগ ও খুব ছোটবেলায় বইয়ের পাতায় পড়া বিভিন্ন জেলার প্রকৃতি, চাষবাস কিংবা মানুষের সংস্কৃতিকে নিজের চোখে দেখার ইচ্ছে ছিল জলপাইগুড়ির পাহাড়পুর নাটুয়াপাড়ার বাসিন্দা তীর্থকুমার রায়ের। কিন্তু কমবয়স ও আর্থিক কারণে তার মনের ইচ্ছেপূরন হয়ে ওঠেনি। ২০১৬ সালে একাদশ শ্রেণীতে পড়ার সময় সরকারি সবুজসাথী প্রকল্পের সাইকেল হাতে পেয়ে রাজ্যভ্রমণে আর দেরি করেনি সে।

গত বছরের ফেব্রুয়ারিতে আঠারো বছর বয়স পূর্ণ হতে সেই সাইকেল নিয়েই তীর্থ বেরিয়ে পড়েছে রাজ্যের মোট ৩৪১টি ব্লকে। উত্তরের পাহাড় থেকে দক্ষিণের সমুদ্র সব ঘুরে দেখার উদ্দেশ্যে। তার ইচ্ছে সব ব্লক ঘুরে দেখা শেষে নবান্নে গিয়ে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে দেখা করবে।

১৯ বছরের তীর্থ জানাল, ২০১৬ সালের ১৬ মার্চ পাকাপাকিভাবে বেরিয়ে সে পড়ে রাজ্যের জেলা সফরে। প্রথমে কোচবিহার, আলিপুরদুয়ার দিয়ে শুরু করে সাইকেলে পাড়ি দিয়েছে দার্জিলিংয়েও। সেখান থেকে ফিরে উত্তর ও দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুর। পড়াশোনার জন্য বই সঙ্গেই থাকত। রাস্তায় যখন যেখানে থেকেছে সেখানের স্কুলে অনুমতি নিয়ে ক্লাস করেছে তীর্থ। উচ্চমাধ্যমিক পরীক্ষার জন্য দিনাজপুরে প্রশাসনিক ভবনে সাইকেল রেখে বাড়ি ফিরে যায়। ২৭ মার্চ পরীক্ষা শেষে ১৪ এপ্রিল সে আবার যাত্রা শুরু করে মালদা থেকে।

আগামীদিনে পড়াশোনার পাশাপাশি এভাবেই চলতে থাকবে সাইকেল যাত্রা। বীরভূম ও মুর্শিদাবাদের কিছু ব্লক ঘুরতে বাকি আছে। নদীয়া শেষ করে আগামীতে বাকি জেলাগুলি শেষ করবে। তার পর মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের সঙ্গে দেখা করে সে জানাবে, তার দেওয়া সবুজ সাথী সাইকেল না থাকলে তার এই সাধপূর্ণ হত না।

The Union Government has heaped praise on the Bengal Government for its path-breaking Kanyashree Scheme for empowering the girl child.

The commendation for the scheme, a brainchild of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, came from the Centre during a conference of officials from the Women and Child Welfare Departments of all the States held in New Delhi on May 18.

The scheme is on its way to touch the figure of 40 lakh enrolments in the next few months.

 

কন্যাশ্রী নিয়ে কেন্দ্রের প্রশংসা কুড়ালো মমতার সরকার

কন্যাশ্রী নিয়ে কেন্দ্রের ভূয়সী প্রশংসা কুড়ালো রাজ্য সরকার। ১৮ই মে নতুন দিল্লিতে বিভিন্ন রাজ্যের নারী ও শিশুকল্যাণ দপ্তরের আধিকারিকদের নিয়ে একটি সচিব পর্যায়ের বৈঠক করে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার। সেখানেই মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের প্রশংসা করা হয়।

মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের সাধের কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের প্রশংসা করে কেন্দ্র জানিয়েছে, রাজ্যে কন্যাশ্রী নিয়ে খুব ভাল কাজ হচ্ছে। উল্লেখ্য, এই মুহূর্তে রাজ্যের প্রায় ৪০লক্ষ মেয়ে এই কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের সুবিধা পাচ্ছে।

The Bengal Government is soon going to introduce five steel vessels, each with a capacity of 250 passengers, for ferrying passengers across the Ganga.

The steel vessels have been made by the West Bengal Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation (WBTIDC). Each of the sturdy vessels cost Rs 1.60 lakh.

Through the Jaladhara Scheme introduced recently, the State Government has undertaken a slew of measures for the safe transport of passengers across the waterways of Bengal.

As per the scheme, the State Government would provide financial assistance in the form of thirty per cent of the conversion cost or a maximum of Rs 1 lakh for each of the around 14,000 semi-mechanised boats plying the Ganga to be converted into fully mechanised ones. The jetties on the river would also be overhauled.

 

যাত্রী নিরাপত্তায় আরও ৫ টি নতুন ভেসেল আনছে পরিবহণ দপ্তর

গঙ্গায় যাত্রী নিরাপত্তায় জোর দিতে শীঘ্রই ৫ টি স্টিল ভেসেল আনতে চলেছে রাজ্য পরিবহন নিগম। আগামী দুই সপ্তাহের মধ্যেই এগুলি পরিষেবা দেওয়া শুরু করবে। ধাপে ধাপে আরও ৬ টি ভেসেল আনা হবে। পুজোর আগেই সেগুলি কাজ করা শুরু করবে।

সবকটি ভেসেল তৈরী করছে টিআইডিসি। এক একটা ভেসেল তৈরী করতে খরচ হবে ১ লক্ষ ৬০হাজার টাকা। প্রতিটি ভেসেলে ২৫০ জন যাত্রী যাতায়াত করতে পারবে।

যেসব জায়গায় গঙ্গা চওড়া ভেসেল গুলি সেখানে চালানো হবে। ভেসেলগুলিতে অগ্নিনির্বাপক যন্ত্র থেকে শুরু করে নিরাপত্তার সবরকম ব্যবস্থা থাকবে।

এই মুহূর্তে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ পরিবহণ নিগমের ২৪টি যাত্রীবাহী ভেসেল চলাচল কর । মালবাহী ভেসেল চলে ৪টি।

On two of the days within June 6 to June 8, Kara Utsav (‘jail festival’) is going to be organised by the Department of Correctional Administration of the Bengal Government. The festival would take place at Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata. This festival was started last year.

The prime attraction of the festival would be the food stalls to be set up by some of the inmates of the correctional homes. This year 12 types of foods and cookies would be sold by inmates of the Dum Dum, Alipore and Presidency Correctional Homes.

Biryani, mutton and chicken cutlets and dahi vada made by Presidency inmates would be available at Kara Utsav. Eight to ten items made by the inmates of the Dum Dum and Alipore Correctional Homes.

There would be two new attractions this time – a fashion show under the direction of famous designer Abhishek Dutta by inmates of the Presidency Correctional Home and an exhibition of saris by inmates of the same place.

 

কারা উৎসবের প্রধান আকর্ষণ বন্দিদের বানানো বিরিয়ানী

জুনের প্রথম সপ্তাহের শেষের দিকে রবীন্দ্রসদনে দুদিনের ‘কারা উৎসব ‘ অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। ওই উৎসবের অন্যতম আকর্ষণ সাজাপ্রাপ্ত বন্দিদের বানানো খাবারের স্টল। দমদম ,আলিপুর এবং প্রেসিডেন্সি সেন্ট্রাল জেলের (যেখানে ক্যান্টিন রয়েছে )বন্দিদের বানানো প্রায় ১২ রকমের খাবার এবং কুকিজ বিক্রি হবে এই উৎসবে।

প্রেসিডেন্সি জেলের ক্যান্টিনে বন্দিরা খুব ভালো বিরিয়ানী ,মটন – চিকেন কাটলেট এবং দই বাড়া বানায়। তাদের বানানো ওই খাবারগুলি করা উৎসবের স্টলে বিক্রি করা হবে । তেমনই আলিপুর এবং দমদম জেলের ক্যান্টিনে তৈরি বাছাই করা ৮ – ১০ টি খাবারও পাওয়া যাবে স্টলে।

এবার উৎসবে দুটি নতুন আকর্ষণ হল ফ্যাশন ডিজাইনার অভিষেক দত্তের তত্বাবধানে প্রেসিডেন্সি জেলের বন্দিদের তৈরি পোশাকের প্রদর্শনী।এক শিল্পীর উদ্যোগে প্রেসিডেন্সি জেলের কয়েকজন বন্দি ডিজাইনার শাড়ির কাজও করছে। সেই শাড়ির প্রদর্শনীও হবে উৎসবে।

গত বছর থেকে রাজ্যে কারা উৎসব শুরু হয়েছে। আগামী ৬,৭এবং ৮ জুনের মধ্যে যেকোনোও দুদিন ওই উৎসব হবে। এবারও বন্দিরা বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহণ করবেন।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee chaired the administrative review meeting for the Birbhum district at Bolpur on Monday.

In the meeting, she highly appreciated the Birbhum district administration for executing various development and welfare programmes. Apart from government officials, a group of students from Visva-Bharati University were present in the administrative meeting.

The Chief Minister said the state government would provide Rs 2.5 crore to each district to improve traffic infrastructure. She once again urged senior police officers to bring down road accidents by enforcing the guidelines given under “Safe drive save life” scheme.

The Chief Minister laid the foundation of the Rampurhat Medical College and Hospital. “The construction of the proposed hospital will begin shortly and once completed, locals will get every kind of treatment free of cost,” she said. She said in the past six years, despite financial constraints, the state government has made healthcare facilities free in the state. “Costly treatment is being offered in state-run hospitals free of cost. The institutional delivery has gone up and child mortality has come down in the state over the past six years.”

The instructed the hospital authorities to maintain proper contact details of the patients admitted to the hospital from other states. “Record of patient/families’ address should be maintained so that information can be provided. Their permanent address, current residential address should be recorded,” she said.

Later in the evening, in a Facebook post she said:

“Now we have started inviting university students to administrative review meetings in the districts to let them have a first-hand feel of how this unique exercise of review of government schemes is made with field-level functionaries in presence of senior officers.

First, it was Rabindra Bharati University at Howrah.

Today, it was Viswa-Bharati in Bolpur.

Everywhere, we are getting very positive response from the students.”

 

বীরভূমের প্রশাসনিক বৈঠকে অংশ নিলেন ছাত্রছাত্রীরা

সোমবার বীরভূম জেলায় প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

বৈঠকে জেলা প্রশাসনের উন্নয়নমূলক কাজের ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। প্রশাসনিক কর্মকর্তারা ছাড়াও বিশ্ব ভারতীর বেশ কয়েকজন ছাত্রছাত্রীও উপস্থিত ছিল এই অনুষ্ঠানে।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী জানান প্রতিটি জেলার পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নের জন্য ২.৫ কোটি টাকা বরাদ্দ করেছে রাজ্য সরকার। এদিনের বৈঠকে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী সেফ ড্রাইভ সেভ লাইভ নিয়ে পুলিসকে আরও কড়া হতে বলেন। জেলার প্রতিটি ট্রাফিক মোড়ে একটি করে ওয়াচ টাওয়ার করার নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন। সেই মোতাবেক প্রয়োজনীয় অর্থও বরাদ্দ করেছেন এদিন। প্রশাসনিক বৈঠকের শেষে ৫৭টি প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করেন তিনি।

এদিন রামপুরহাট মেডিকেল কলেজ ও হাসপাতালের শিলান্যাসও করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।  তিনি জানান খুব শীঘ্রই এর কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়ে যাবে। স্থানীয় মানুষ এখানে বিনামূল্যে সবরকম চিকিৎসা পাবে। গত ৬ বছরে আর্থিক সমস্যা থাকা সত্ত্বেও রাজ্য সরকার সমগ্র রাজ্যে সরকারী হাসপাতালে বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা পরিষেবা চালু করেছে।

The Bankura district administration has received investment proposals worth Rs 600 crore at the recently-concluded industry conclave called Synergy.

Around 305 investment proposals came from micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) and the other proposals were from large industries.

According to senior State Government officials attending the summit, the responses from industrialists are quite impressive. This is the first time that the Bankura district administration has received such huge investment proposals from industrialists.

The administration has promised to provide them with every possible help. The district administration has already published a booklet on the availability of land. Land-related information will also be uploaded on the website of the district administration.

MSMEs like bakeries, rice mills, mechanised stone-crushing units, small-scale units manufacturing agricultural tools and roofing tiles, poultry fodder-making, agro-servicing units, sal-leaf cup-and-plate manufacturing, automobile painting and many others are successfully running their trade in the district.

Besides MSMEs, there are many service industries running successfully in the district too. Examples include screen printing, offset printing, automobile repairing and servicing, building bodies of buses and manufacturing domestic electrical appliances.

 

৬০০কোটি টাকার বিনিয়োগের প্রস্তাব বাঁকুড়া জেলায়

বাঁকুড়া জেলায় সদ্য সমাপ্ত হল বাণিজ্য সম্মেলন, যার নাম সিনার্জি। এই সম্মেলনে বাঁকুড়া জেলা প্রশাসন পেল ৬০০ কোটির বাণিজ্য প্রস্তাব।

ছোট, মাঝারি ও ক্ষুদ্র শিল্প মিলিয়ে প্রায় ৩০৫টি বিনিয়োগ প্রস্তাব এসেছে এই সম্মেলনে। রাজ্য সরকারের এক উচ্চ আধিকারিকের কথা অনুযায়ী, এবারে ওই সম্মেলনে আগত বিনিয়োগকারী ও ব্যাবসায়ীদের মধ্যে বেশ সাড়া পাওয়া গেছে। এই প্রথম বাঁকুড়া জেলা প্রশাসন এই বিশাল অঙ্কের লগ্নি প্রস্তাব পেল।

প্রশাসন বিনিয়োগকারীদের সব ব্যাপারে পাশে থাকার আশ্বাস দিয়েছে। জেলা প্রশাসন একটি পুস্তিকা প্রকাশ করেছে যেখানে সমস্ত জমির তালিকা দেওয়া আছে। আর প্রতিটি জমির বিশদ বিবরন দপ্তরের ওয়েবসাইটে পাওয়া যাবে।

ক্ষুদ্র ও মাঝারি শিল্প যেমন বেকারি, চালকল, যন্ত্রচালিত পাথর ভাঙ্গার কেন্দ্র, কৃষি যন্ত্রপাতি তৈরি, শালপাতার কাপ প্লেট তৈরি, গাড়ির রঙ করা এই শিল্পগুলো ইতিমধ্যেই ওই জেলায় রমরমিয়ে চলছে।

ক্ষুদ্র শিল্পের পাশাপাশি স্ক্রিন পেন্টিং, অফসেট প্রিন্টিং, গাড়ি সারানো, বাসের কাঠামো তৈরি, ইলেকট্রিক যন্ত্রপাতি তৈরি এই সকল শিল্পও ওখানে খুব চলছে।
