West Bengal has won the Central Government’s Krishi Karman Award for outstanding agricultural productivity for the fourth year in a row. This time it is for the record production in oilseeds in the financial year 2014-15, of 9.01 lakh metric tonnes, which is an increase by 28.11% over the 2010-11 level. The cultivated area for oilseeds is now 7.76 lakh hectares, which is also an increase, by 15.67% over 2010-11.

Under the Trinamool Congress Government, the State has been making record productions of various crops. It is now a trendsetter in the country.

The State Government has created numerous schemes to benefit farmers, ranging from distribution of high-quality seeds to creation of better irrigation facilities to enabling easy procurement of fertilizers to helping farmers to get the right price for their produce by excluding middlemen by selling them at Krishi Bazaars.

Agricultural fairs have been held regularly since 2012-13 at block, district and state levels. For the first in India, a permanent site with infrastructure, called ‘Mati Tirtha,’ has been set up for agriculture and allied sectors – for fairs, exhibitions, demonstrations, promotions, publicity, etc.

দেশের মধ্যে কৃষিতে ব্যাপক সাফল্যের জন্য এই নিয়ে চতুর্থ বার কৃষি কর্মণ পুরস্কার পেল পশ্চিমবঙ্গ। ২০১৪-১৫ আর্থিক বছরে ব্যাপক পরিমানে তৈলবীজ উ९পাদন হয়েছে পশ্চিমবঙ্গে।

তৃণমূল সরকারে অধীনে খাদ্যশস্য উ९পাদনে ব্যাপক সাফল্য পেয়েছে রাজ্য। এই নিয়ে পরপর চার বার এই শিরোপা পেল রাজ্য।

রাজ্য সরকার কৃষকদের সাহায্যের জন্য কয়েকটি প্রকল্প চালু করেছে। উন্নতমানের বীজ বিতরণ করা হচ্ছে কৃষকদের। এছাড়া কৃষকরা যাতে তাদের উৎপাদিত দ্রব্যের সঠিক মূল্য পায় সেজন্য কৃষক বাজার তৈরি করেছে রাজ্য সরকার।

২০১২-১৩ সাল থেকেই রাজ্যের বিভিন্ন জেলার বিভিন্ন ব্লকে কৃষক মেলা অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে। দেশের মধ্যে এই প্রথম কৃষকদের জন্য ‘মাটি তীর্থ’ তৈরি হয়েছে পশ্চিমবঙ্গে।

Until recently the billboard slogan “Come to Bengal – Ride the Growth” that adorns the streets of Kolkata would have seemed like a bad joke to the few big investors still active in the city and its hinterland in West Bengal.

Better known abroad as Calcutta, this metropolis of 18 mn people was once the manufacturing and administrative hub of British India. But a Maoist insurgency and a hardline, Communist-led State Government elected in the late 1970s ushered in three decades of industrial decline, urban decay and official hostility to capitalism.

Investors, many of them commercially-minded Marwaris originally from western India, were plagued with death threats and strikes. The mood was so sour, according to West Bengal finance minister Amit Mitra, that 56,000 factories shut down. Abhirup Sarkar, an economics professor, says the state’s share of all Indian manufacturing fell from 12% to just 2%.

In the past three years, however, West Bengal’s government says it has been outperforming the Indian economy as a whole. Even private entrepreneurs see signs of a tentative industrial revival in a state that is home to 91 mn people – more than Germany – and is the main cargo hub for north-east India and the independent Himalayan nations of Nepal and Bhutan.

“For the first time in many years – in 35 years – you see a genuinely serious intent of the entire administration to become attractive for investors and investment,” says Sanjiv Goenka, chairman of RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, a conglomerate with interests in electricity generation and distribution. “That’s a huge change.”

Among her first moves after winning power in 2011 was to appoint Mr Mitra to run the economy. He had previously headed one of India’s main business groups – the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) – and now holds no less than six economic portfolios in the State Government.

State tax collection has doubled in four years, while spending on infrastructure has tripled and deficits are down, he says. The statistics show that per capita income grew nearly 13% in real terms last year in West Bengal, compared with an all-India increase of 6%.

Around his own constituency, Mr Mitra says he found only one big factory when he was elected, down from more than 30 in the 1970s. Now there are half-a-dozen making steel pipes and chemicals and processing jute. “I see a resurgence of industry,” he says. “I see all the different ingredients which will probably now allow West Bengal’s economy to take off, which will allow us to compete with the top people.”

Ms Banerjee hosted a business summit in Kolkata at the start of this year that attracted investment promises of $37 bn in sectors ranging from mining and infrastructure to industry, IT services, real estate and tourism.

SK Birla, of the Birla conglomerate, describes Ms Banerjee as “a well-meaning lady” and says that after four years in office she understands much of what needs to be done to revive confidence. “She’s now honestly trying very hard to restore Bengal,” he says.

West Bengal has added another feather in its cap by being among the best in the nation in the category of Conservancy and Project Implementation in MGNREGA. During the financial year 2014-15, North 24 Parganas district has been among the top eight districts in the country in the 100 Days Work Scheme. For its achievement, the district would be bestowed with a National Award.

The mangrove forest projects of the district’s Sandeshkhali-2 and Hingalganj blocks have come in for special praise. Besides, in different areas of the district, roadside greenlining projects (planting trees besides roads) have been implemented wherein only women have been employed. This has made the women self-sufficient as well as significantly increased the number of women workers. This aspect has also garnered a lot of interest.

State Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Subrata Mukherjee said that West Bengal could include the maximum number of villages in projects like Indira Awas Yojna, building of toilets and construction of metalled (‘pucca’) roads during 2014-15.

According to the Minister, West Bengal is the best in the country with respect to work done in the panchayats.

During 2015-16, so far, 2.16 lakh houses have been constructed under Indira Awas Yojna and more than 11 lakh toilets have been built in the State, the Minister said. During the same period, around 47.43 lakh people have been given jobs under the 100 Days Work Scheme

 

১০০ দিনের কাজে দেশের সেরা পশ্চিমবঙ্গ

পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুকুটে আরও একটি পালক যুক্ত হল। (কনভার্জেন্স অ্যান্ড প্রজেক্ট ইমপ্লিমেনটেশন) ১০০ দিনের কাজ প্রকল্পটি রূপায়ণের জন্য দেশের মধ্যে সেরার পুরস্কার পাচ্ছে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের উত্তর ২৪ পরগণা জেলা। ২০১৪-১৫ সালে ১০০ দিনের কাজের নিরিখেই কেন্দ্রীয় গ্রামোন্নয়ন মন্ত্রক মঙ্গলবার নয়াদিল্লিতে এই পুরস্কার তুলে দেবে বলে রাজ্যের পঞ্চায়েত মন্ত্রী সুব্রত মুখোপাধ্যায় জানান।

উত্তর ২৪ পরগণা জেলার সন্দেশখালি ২-ব্লক এবং এবং হিঙ্গলগঞ্জে ম্যানগ্রোভ অরণ্যের প্রকল্প অভিনব আকর্ষণ কুড়িয়েছে। এই জেলার বিভিন্ন জায়গায় ‘রোডসাইড গ্রিনলাইন’ (রাস্তার ধারে বৃক্ষ রোপণ) প্রকল্পে মহিলাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা হয়েছে। এর ফলে মহিলারা স্বনির্ভর হয়েছেন।

পঞ্চায়েত মন্ত্রী জানান, শৌচালয় নির্মাণ, ইন্দিরা আবাসের বাড়ি তৈরি এবং ২০১৪-১৫ সালে সব চেয়ে বেশি গ্রামকে যুক্ত করে পাকা রাস্তা তৈরির ক্ষেত্রেও পশ্চিমবঙ্গই প্রথম।

পঞ্চায়েত মন্ত্রীর দাবি, পঞ্চায়েতে কাজের বিচারে সেরা পশ্চিমবঙ্গই।

২০১৫-১৬ সালে ইন্দিরা আবাস যোজনায় ২ লক্ষ ১৬ হাজার বাড়ি তৈরি হয়েছে। পাকা শৌচালয় তৈরি হয়েছে ১১ লক্ষ। ২০১৫-১৬ সালে ১০০ দিনের কাজ পেয়েছে ৪৭ লক্ষ ৪৩ হাজার পরিবার।’’

“After the (2016 Assembly) election, the Opposition will go to hell! CPI(M), Congress and BJP will cease to exist!” Thundered Trinamool Congress Member of Parliament Abhishek Banerjee. He was addressing a party rally at Kanyanagar in Bishnupur block, South 24-Parganas.

He said the more the Opposition slanders the Government, the faster would the wheel of development turn. They do not have the capability to stop Trinamool. They are trying to win the Assembly election by hook or by crook.

He further said, “People have seen the development that has happened in the State with their own eyes. The Opposition won’t be able to influence them by slandering the Government. People won’t believe them.”

“Rather, the election could result in a situation where there is no Opposition in the State.”

 

ভোটের পর রাজ্যে সিপিএম, কংগ্রেস এবং বিজেপি বলে কিছু থাকবে নাঃ অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

গতকাল দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগণার বিষ্ণুপুরে কন্যানগরে একটি সভা করেন তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এদিনের সভামঞ্চে অভিষেক বলেন, “২০১৬-র নির্বাচনের পর বিরোধীদের গঙ্গাযাত্রা হবে। রাজ্যে সিপিএম, বিজেপি, কংগ্রেস বলে কিছু থাকবেনা”।

তিনি বলেন, “বিরোধীরা যতই কু९সা করবে ততই রাজ্যে উন্নয়নের রথ ছুটবে। তৃণমূলের এই উন্নয়নের রথ থামানোর ক্ষমতা নেই বিরোধীদের। বিরোধীরা কু९সা করে ভোটে জেতার চেষ্টা করছে”।

তিনি আরও বলেন, “মানুষ উন্নয়ন নিজের চোখে দেখছে। কু९সা করে মানুষের সেই দেখাকে মিথ্যা প্রমাণিত করা যাবে না। মানুষ ওদের বিশ্বাস করবেনা”।

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee held an administrative meeting in Town Hall today. She assessed the performances of the departments under her administration.

All ministers, along with departmental secretaries and other senior officers were present at the meeting, besides district magistrates and superintendents of police.

The Trinamool Congress Government has crossed many milestones in the last four-and-a-half years. Bengal Global Business Summit in January was a huge success, where the country’s top industrialists made their presence felt; investment agreements worth hundreds of crores were signed. The State has been very successful in drawing investments in the micro, small and medium enterprises sector. There has been record production of electricity by the State. In the last four-and-a-half years, the Kanyashree Scheme has become a phenomenal success in India, and has earned accolades internationally too. In the police administration too, things have improved a lot: along with five police commissionerates, women’s police stations have been set up in every district.

In the light of these successes, and the soon-to-be-held Assembly elections, this administrative meeting holds special significance.

The Chief Minister addressed a press conference after the meeting. She said the Government has held over 100 administrative review meetings to ensure that projects are completed on time. The meeetings are held all over tha state to take the CMO to the BDOs, to make a direct connection with the development that is happening.

She expressed pride in her administration for having completed, even out-performed in many cases, all the developmental work despite the Centre not giving adequate funds, and on top of that, burdening the State with hundreds of crores of debt.

She said, “We will ensure that the development work is continued and benefits are extended to people even after the elections are announced.”

The Chief Minister listed departments’ achievements in terms of spending. Many of them did developmental work worth more than the amount allotted to them.

টাউনহলে আজ প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

আজ টাউন হলে প্রশাসনিক পর্যালোচনায় বসেছিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। সমস্ত দপ্তরের কাজের খতিয়ান নিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

এই বৈঠকে মন্ত্রিসভার সমস্ত সদস্য এবং বিভিন্ন দপ্তরের সচিব ও আধিকারিক উপস্থিত ছিলেন। এছাড়াও সকল জেলাশাসক ও পুলিশ সুপার উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

প্রসঙ্গত, জানুয়ারি মাসের শুরুতেই গ্লোবাল বিজনেস সামিটকে কেন্দ্র করে দেশের প্রথম সারির শিল্পপতিরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন। ক্ষুদ্র ও কুটির শিল্পে ব্যাপক বিনিয়োগ হয়েছে। বিদ্যু९ উ९পাদনও ব্যবহারেও রাজ্য রেকর্ড সৃষ্টি করেছে। গত সাড়ে চার বছরে কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প দেশের মধ্যে মাইল ফলক হিসেবে চিহ্নিত। আবার পাঁচটি নতুন পুলিশ কমিশনারেট তৈরি হয়েছে এবং প্রতিটি জেলাতেই প্রায় মহিলা থানা তৈরি হয়েছে।

বৈঠকের পর মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী সাংবাদিকদের মুখোমুখি হয়ে জানান যে, তিনি তার অফিসারদের কাজে খুশি। তিনি আরও বলেন, “একশোরও বেশী প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক করেছি আমরা। কেন্দ্র যেসকল প্রকল্পের টাকা বন্ধ করে দিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার সেগুলি চালু রেখেছে। ১০ হাজার কোটি টাকা বখেয়া রেখেছে কেন্দ্র সেই টাকা দিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার। পঞ্চায়েত ও ভূমি দপ্তর, নগরোন্নয়ন দপ্তর, স্থ্য, পরিবহণ ও ম९স্য দপ্তর ভালো কাজ হয়েছে”। নির্বাচনী তারিখ ঘোষণা হওয়ার পরও উন্নয়নমূলক কাজ যেন বন্ধ না হয় সেই অনুরোধও করেছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

সবশেষে তিনি মাধ্যমিক উচ্চমাধ্যমিকের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের শুভেচ্ছা জানান।

এদিন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী উন্নয়নের খাতে বিভিন্ন দফতরের ব্যয়ের তালিকা ঘোষণা করেছেন।

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee inaugurated irrigation, water and healthcare projects at in New Town today.

Five projects under the Irrigation & Waterways Department were inaugurated: a concrete bridge over Tolly Nullah (Adi Ganga), beautification of both sides of Keshtopur Canal adjoining VIP Road, dredging of Tolly Nullah from Garia station to Shamukpota, construction of another pump house in Sonarpur and construction of concrete bridges over storm water and drain water channels in Ghunimeghi mouza, the last three being in South 24-Parganas district.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also inaugurated a 100 MGD (millions of gallons per day) drinking water supply project. The first phase of the project is of 20 MGD capacity, for supplying water in New Town. The rest would cover the civic areas of Bidhannagar, Nabadiganta Township, South Dum Dum and Haroa.

Along with these, some major healthcare projects were inaugurated, too. Superspeciality hospitals in Bolpur and Metiabruj are part of the grand project of 41 superspeciality hospitals in the State. The other projects inaugurated were: critical care unit (CCU) at NRS Medical College and Hospital, dialysis unit at Bishnupur District Hospital, and digital X-Ray units at Gangarampur Subdivisional Hospital, Sagar Dutta Medical College and Hospital and RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

 

নিউটাউনে সেচ ব্যবস্থা, জল সরবরাহ এবং স্বাস্থ্যবিভাগের বেশ কিছু প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

আজ নিউটাউনে সেচ ব্যবস্থা, জল সরবরাহ এবং স্বাস্থ্যবিভাগের বেশ কিছু প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করলেন মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

সেচ ও জলপথ বিভাগের ৫ টি প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন হল এদিন। গৃহীত প্রকল্পগুলি হল কালীঘাট মন্দিরের নিকট আদি গঙ্গার (টালি নালা) উপরে পারাপারের পাকা সেতু নির্মাণ, ভি.আই.পি রোড সংলগ্ন কেষ্টপুর খালের উভয় পাড় সৌন্দর্যায়ন, দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগনার গড়িয়া স্টেশন থেকে শামুকপোতা পর্যন্ত আদি গঙ্গার (টালি নালা) ১৩ কিমি দৈর্ঘ্যে ও বিদ্যাধরী খালের ১২ কিমি দৈর্ঘ্যে পুনঃখনন, সোনারপুরে পাম্প হাউস নির্মাণ, ভাঙ্গর থানার ঘুনিমেঘি মৌজায় এস.ডব্লিউ.এফ ও ডি.ডব্লিউ.এফ চ্যানেলের ওপর পাকা সেতু নির্মাণ।

নিউটাউনে ১০০ MGD ভূ-পৃষ্ঠ জল সরবরাহ প্রকল্প উদ্বোধন করলেন মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। প্রথম পর্যায়ে ২০ MGD জল সরবরাহ করবে নিউ টাউনে, দ্বিতীয় পর্যায়ে ৮০ MGD জল সরবরাহ করবে বিধাননগর, নবদিগন্ত, দক্ষিণ দমদম এবং হাড়োয়া এলাকায়।

এর সঙ্গে কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্বাস্থ্য প্রকল্পেরও উদ্বোধন হল। এগুলি হল – বোলপুর এবং মেটিয়াবুরুজ সুপার স্পেশালিটি হাসপাতাল, এন.আর.এস মেডিক্যাল কলেজ ও হাসপাতালের ক্রিটিক্যাল ইউনিট, বিষ্ণুপুর জেলা হাসপাতালের ডায়ালিসিস ইউনিট, গঙ্গারাম মহকুমা হাসপাতাল, সাগর দত্ত মেডিক্যাল কলেজ ও হাসপাতাল, আর.জি.কর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ ও হাসপাতালের ডিজিটাল এক্স-রে।

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the Kamalgazi flyover today by remote control from the Red Road parade, organised to launch the Khadya Sathi Scheme. It has been constructed by KMDA.

The 1.164-km flyover would ease the flow of traffic at the Kamalgazi crossing, where EM Bypass merges with Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Road.

 

কামালগাজী ফ্লাইওভারের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় আজ কামালগাজী ফ্লাইওভারের উদ্বোধন করলেন।  রেড রোড স্থিত সভা থেকে রিমোট কন্ট্রোলের মাধ্যমে এই ফ্লাইওভারের উদ্বোধন করলেন।

১.১৬৪ কিলোমিটার এই ফ্লাইওভার গিয়ে যুক্ত হবে ই এম বাইপাসের নেতাজি সুভাষ চন্দ্র বসু রোডে। এর ফলে যান চলাচলে সুবিধা হবে।

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee launched the Khadya Sathi Scheme today.

On the occasion a colourful parade was held on Red Road.

Under the Khadya Sathi Scheme, 7 crore 49 lakh people, that is, almost 80% of the State’s population, would get rice and wheat at Rs 2 per kg each. A family can get a maximum of 35 kg of food grains per month at subsidised rates.

Recipients would include 33 lakh people of the Jangalmahal region, 12 lakh drought-affected people of Purulia district, 11.24 people, including tea garden workers and their families, 3.11 lakh Cyclone Aila-affected people, 3569 people of Singur who had lost their land, 1700 homeless people of Kolkata and the people living in the Hills region of Darjeeling.

The parade included workers of the Health & Family Welfare Department’s ASHA Scheme with their newly-given bicycles, and new mini-fire tenders, double-decker buses and commercial vehicles bought under the Gatidhara Scheme.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated Watgunge, Amherst Street, Tollygunge and Patuli women’s police stations.

 

The salient features of her speech are as follows:

  • From today, almost 7 crore people out of the 9 crore in Bengal will receive rice and wheat at Rs 2 per kg.
  • I am thankful to the farmers of Bengal for contributing to the stock of grains required for Khadya Sathi.
  • 15 lakh metric tonnes of rice have already been procured, which is more than our target of 10 lakh metric tonnes.
  • The Krishak Mandis have been instrumental in the procurement process.
  • Out of 176 Krishak Mandis, 120-130 are already up and running.
  • We have been providing the people of Singur who lost their land with help until they get their land back.
  • 16 lakh Kanyashree and 40 lakh Sabuj Sathis are part of the development we have made.
  • With Khadya Sathi Scheme, there will be people who will receive benefits from multiple programmes.
  • The Central Government has reduced the allotments for most important social programmes like ICDS.
  • The Central Government can stop them but we cannot stop the benefits being extended to the people of our State.
  • It is our responsibility towards the people, we cannot step back on that promise and commitment.
  • There are people who are busy spreading slandering the developments in Bengal. Who stopped them from working when they were in power?
  • We are aiming for all-around development, from infrastructure to transport, many in collaboration with foreign countries like Japan and Germany.
  • Today the people of the Hills are happy. We are proud of them for the hard work they do.
  • Bengal is surging ahead in medium-scale and small scale business.
  • The people who criticise us should take note of the truth and accept it and not speak without getting their facts right.
  • In four years we have completed work that cannot be normally completed in 40 years.
  • We have worked for the development of every community and caste in Bengal.
  • West Bengal is the perfect example of tolerance where Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and others live in peace and harmony.

 

খাদ্য সাথী প্রকল্পের সূচনা করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের উদ্যোগে সারা রাজ্যে চালু হল ‘খাদ্য সাথী’ প্রকল্প। সকলের জন্য খাদ্য – আমাদের সংকল্প।

আজ রেড রোডে এই প্রকল্পের সূচনা করলেন মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। একটি কুচকাওয়াজের মাধ্যমে সূচনা হবে এই প্রকল্পের।

রাজ্যের ৭ কোটি ৪৯ লক্ষ মানুষ জাতীয় খাদ্য সুরক্ষা আইন ও খাদ্য সুরক্ষা যোজনার মাধ্যমে এই প্রকল্পের আওতায় আসছেন। এর ফলে রাজ্যের ৭ কোটির অধিক মানুষ ২ টাকা কিলো দরে চাল ও গম পাবেন।

রাজ্যের ৩৩ লক্ষ জঙ্গলমহলবাসী, পুরুলিয়া জেলায় খরা-কবলিত ১২ লক্ষ আধিবাসী, রাজ্যের সমস্ত আদিম উপজাতি সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষ, চা বাগানের ১১.২৪ লক্ষ শ্রমিক ও অশ্রমিক পরিবার, আয়লা-বিধ্বস্ত ৩.১১ লক্ষ মানুষ, সিঙ্গুরের ৩৫৬৯ জন জমিহারা কৃষক, কলকাতায় ১৭০০ গৃহহীন পথবাসী এবং দার্জিলিং জেলার পার্বত্য অঞ্চলের সকল আদিবাসী ২ টাকা কেজি ফরে চাল ও গম পাবেন।

উপরোক্ত গণবণ্টন ব্যবস্থার জন্য রাজ্য সরকার বছরে ৪২৮২ কোটি টাকা ব্যয় করবে।

এই অনুষ্ঠান উপলক্ষে মার্চ পাস্টে অংশগ্রহণ করেছে খাদ্য ও সরবরাহ বিভাগের ‘খাদ্য সাথী’ প্রকল্পের ট্যাবলো।

ওয়াটগঞ্জ, আমহার্স্ট স্ট্রিট, পাটুলি ও টালিগঞ্জ এই ৪টি মহিলা থানার উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

Trinamool Yuva Congress all-India Chairperson Abhishek Banerjee has called for ousting the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Hills. He was speaking at a rally at the Sports Authority ground in Mirik near Darjeeling on Wednesday, January 20.

He began by congratulating the people for coming in droves to hear him speak, and said that he would go back and assure Trinamool Congress Chairperson Ms Mamata Banerjee that it is only a matter of time before the party come to power there.

He said that for a long time GJM chief Bimal Gurung has been fooling the people of the Hills, and so is the BJP. Now the time has come for removing them from power. As an example of how the Trinamool Congress works for the people, he cited the case of Bhaichung Bhutia, who, despite losing in the Lok Sabha elections, has worked tirelessly for the people there.

Unlike the BJP, he said the Trinamool works for the development of the State – the way things have changed for the better in the last five years is proof of that. The Trinamool Congress Government has given Rs 15 crore for renovating the lake in Mirik, and make it a better attraction for tourists.

He ended by once again exhorting the people to make sure that they vote Trinamool Congress to power.

 

অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় পাহাড়ের মানুষকে ডাক দিলেন তৃণমূলকে ক্ষমতায় আনার  জন্য 

তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেস সর্বভারতীয় সভাপতি অভিষেক বন্দ্যপাধ্যায় পাহাড় থেকে মোর্চা এবং বিজেপিকে উৎখেপনের ডাক দিলেন। তিনি মিরিকের স্পোর্টস অথরিটির মাঠ থেকে বক্তৃতা দিচ্ছিলেন গত বুধবার।

উনি মানুষদের ধন্যবাদ দিলেন বহু বাধা অতিক্রম করে তার সভায় আসার জন্য। এখন তিনি ফিরে গিয়ে তৃণমূল সভানেত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়কে আশ্বাস দিতে পারবেন যে তৃণমূলের পাহাড়ে ক্ষমতায় আসার শুধু সময়ের অপেক্ষা।

তিনি বললেন যে বহুদিন ধরে মোর্চা এবং বি জে পি পাহাড়ের মানুষের চোখে ধুলো দিয়ে এসেছে। এখন সময় এসেছে তাদের পাহাড় থেকে উৎখেপন করার। তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস চিরকাল মানুষের পাশে থেকেছে। উদাহারণ হিসেবে বললেন যে ভাইচুং ভুটিয়া লোকসভা নির্বাচন হারা সত্ত্বেও পাহাড়ের মানুষের জন্য কাজ করে এসেছেন।

তৃণমূল চিরকালই মানুষের জন্য কাজ করে এসেছে – গত ৫ বছরের কাজ কাজ দেখেই তা নির্ধারন করা যায়। মিরিক লেকের সংস্ক্রণের জন্য ১৫ কোটি টাকা দিয়েছে।

শেষে অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় আবার পাহাড়ের মানুষকে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসকে ক্ষমতায় ফেরানোর জন্য বললেন।

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee has reached north Bengal for a four-day visit.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to inaugurate ‘Bengal Safari’ Park today on her way up to Darjeeling.

On January 22, she will be present at the foundation day celebration of the Sherpa Cultural Board and the prize distribution ceremony of the Himal Terai Dooars Sports Festival. Both the programmes will be held at St Joseph’s School in Singamari, Darjeeling.

On January 23, the Chief Minister will attend the 119th birth anniversary programme of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at Darjeeling Chowrastha, like previous years. The programme is organised by the Information and Cultural Affairs Department.

She will then leave for Sukna on January 24 to flag off a bicycle rally of students. The Chief Minister will return to Kolkata on the same day.

 

উত্তরবঙ্গ সফরে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

২১ শে জানুয়ারি পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় উত্তরবঙ্গ পরিদর্শনে যাচ্ছেন।

২১ শে জানুয়ারি বেঙ্গল সাফারি পার্ক উদ্বোধন করবেন  মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। সেখান থেকে তিনি দার্জিলিং এর উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা হবেন।

২২ শে জানুয়ারি শেরপা পর্ষদ বোর্ড-এর প্রতিষ্ঠা দিবসের অনুষ্ঠান এবং হিমাল-তরাই-ডুয়ার্স ক্রীড়া উত্সবের পুরস্কার বিতরণী অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত থাকবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। ২ টি অনুষ্ঠানই হবে দার্জিলিং-এর শিঙ্গামারির সেন্ট জোসেফ স্কুলে।

গত বছরের মত এ বছরও ২৩ শে জানুয়ারি তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি দপ্তর আয়োজিত নেতাজির জন্মবার্ষিকী অনুষ্ঠানে দার্জিলিং এর চৌরাস্তায় উপস্থিত থাকবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। এর পর তিনি শুকনার উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা দেবেন। ২৪ শে জানুয়ারি শুকনায় একটি বাইসাইকেল র‍্যালির পতাকা উত্তোলন করবেন তিনি।

একই দিনে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী কলকাতায় ফিরবেন।
