Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee paid homage to the language martyrs on International Mother Language Day today. She paid her tributes during a public function at Gangarampur in Dakshin Dinajpur district. Programmes on this occasion are being held across Bengal, down to every block, to observe the day in a befitting manner.

After coming to power, Mamata Banerjee had taken the initiative to construct a memorial for the language martyrs at Desapriyo Park. Another memorial was built near Birla Planetarium in Maidan.

The CM said, “Bangladesh is our neighbour and our friend. India-Bangladesh have long standing ties. I had been to Bangladesh in 2015 on the occasion of 21 February.”

She added, “Bengali is the second most spoken language in Asia, and fifth in the world. We must learn all languages. But we must never forget the importance of our mother languages.”

The CM maintained that Bengal Government had given official recognition to given official recognition to Nepali, Santhali, Hindi, Urdu, Gurmukhi, Rajbongshi, Kamtapuri, and Kuruk languages.

আজ আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস, অমর ২১শে। রাজ্যের প্রতিটি জেলা ও মহকুমায় মর্যাদার সাথে পালিত হচ্ছে মাতৃভাষা দিবস।

আজ দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুরের গঙ্গারামপুরে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় একটি অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন। সেখানে ভাষা শহীদদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাজ্ঞাপন করেন তিনি। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, “আজ আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃ ভাষা দিবস।কলকাতার দেশপ্রিয় পার্কে একটি কাঠামো তৈরি করে আমরা প্রথম ভাষা আন্দোলনের অনুষ্ঠান শুরু করেছিলাম। বিড়লা প্ল্যানেটরিয়ামের বিপরীতে ভাষা শহীদদের জন্য একটি মেমেন্টো তৈরি করা হয়েছে, সেখানেও আজ অনুষ্ঠান হবে।”

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, “বাংলাদেশ আমাদের বন্ধু রাষ্ট্র। ভারত এবং বাংলাদেশের সম্পর্ক চিরকালের। একবার ২১ শে ফেব্রুয়ারি আমি বাংলাদেশে গিয়েছিলাম। ভাষা আন্দোলন করতে গিয়ে যারা শহীদ হয়েছিলেন তাদের আমার শ্রদ্ধা।”

“বাংলা ভাষা আজ আন্তর্জাতিক ভাষা হিসেবে পরিচিত এজন্য আমরা গর্বিত। আমরা সব ভাষাকে সম্মান করি। আমরা সব ভাষাই শিখবো কিন্তু মাতৃভাষাকে কোনওদিন ভুলবো না” বলেন তিনি।

There is another good news for the State Government: according to a Union Food Processing Industries Ministry report, Bengal is ahead of its neighbours in foodgrain procurement and foodgrain storage infrastructure.

As per the report, Bengal has a lot of potential in the field of paddy procurement. Hence, while the procurement during the 2016-17 kharif season was 40 lakh metric tonnes, the target set for the 2017-18 season by the State Government is 52 lakh metric tonnes.

After the Trinamool Congress Government came to power in 2011, the state has stopped procuring foodgrains from neighbouring states for distribution through the public distribution system, that is, ration shops, which is a big achievement.

On the other hand, Bengal is selling foodgrains to its neighbouring states for distribution through the PDS. Jharkhand, for example, is buying 5 lakh metric tonnes from Bengal. Not just that, the Centre now wants Bengal to supply to Tamil Nadu and Kerala too.

Additionally, as per the report, the Centre now wants Bengal to join the elite list of states which supply foodgrains to other states to make up for their shortfall. Hence, Bengal would soon join states like Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

 

সরকারি উদ্যোগে ধান সংগ্রহে প্রতিবেশী রাজ্যগুলির থেকে অনেক এগিয়ে বাংলা

প্রতিবেশী রাজ্যগুলির থেকে সরকারি উদ্যোগে ধান সংগ্রহের পরিকাঠামো ও পরিমাণের নিরিখে এগিয়ে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ। কেন্দ্রীয় খাদ্য মন্ত্রকের ডাকা বৈঠকের রিপোর্ট থেকেই এটা পরিষ্কার।

চলতি খরিফ মরশুম শুরু হওয়ার পরেই কেন্দ্রীয় খাদ্যমন্ত্রক পশ্চিমবঙ্গ, বিহার, অসম, ঝাড়খণ্ড এবং উত্তরপ্রদেশে ধান সংগ্রহের প্রস্তুতি নিয়ে বিশেষ বৈঠক ডেকেছিল। খাদ্যমন্ত্রকের যুগ্মসচিবের সভাপতিত্বে হওয়া এই বৈঠকের বিস্তারিত রিপোর্টে দেখা যাচ্ছে, চাল সংগ্রহের ক্ষেত্রে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের অবস্থা সব থেকে ভালো।

পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সম্পর্কে বলা হয়েছে, ধান সংগ্রহে এ রাজ্যে বিরাট সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে। তাই ২০১৬-১৭ খরিফ মরশুমে ৪০ লক্ষ টন ধান সংগ্রহ হলেও, ২০১৭-১৮ মরশুমে তা আরও বাড়ানোর সুযোগ রয়েছে। প্রসঙ্গত, চলতি খরিফ মরশুমে রাজ্য সরকার ৫২ লক্ষ টন ধান সংগ্রহের লক্ষ্যামাত্রা ধার্য করেছে। ফেব্রুয়ারি মাসের শুরুতে সরকারি উদ্যোগে ধান সংগ্রহ ১৬ লক্ষ টন ছাড়িয়ে গিয়েছে

কেন্দ্রের রিপোর্টে দেখা যাচ্ছে, অন্তত ৩৭ লক্ষ টন ধান ওই রাজ্যকে কিনতে বলা হয়েছে। প্রসঙ্গত, ২০১১ সালে তৃণমূল সরকার ক্ষমতায় আসার পর থেকে গত প্রায় পাঁচ বছর ধরে পশ্চিমবঙ্গে রেশনে ভিন রাজ্যের চাল সরবরাহ বন্ধ হয়ে গিয়েছে।

উল্লেখ্য, ঝাড়খণ্ড সরকার ওই রাজ্যের রেশনে সরবরাহ করার জন্য পশ্চিমবঙ্গ থেকে চাল নিতে আগ্রহী। ঝাড়খণ্ড, তামিলনাড়ু ও কেরলে চাল সরবরাহ করুক এই রাজ্য, কেন্দ্র এটাই চাইছে।

The way the Trinamool Congress Government has used the 100 Days’ Work Scheme (NREGA) in the service of garbage disposal by the panchayats has become a role model for the country. The Union Rural Development Ministry has sent instructions to the state and union territory governments to study and implement the Bengal model.

The solid waste management system that the panchayats have implemented is both health-friendly and environment-friendly. As an example, the union ministry has held up the solid waste disposal practiced in Hemtabad gram panchayat (GP) in Uttar Dinajpur district.

Bengal has also been acknowledged by the Centre as being the best in implementing the 100 Days’ Work Scheme. Be it making flyash bricks or growing orchards or effectively disposing garbage or so many other things, the State Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been extremely effective in using the scheme to benefit people in even the farthest corners of the state.

 

জঞ্জাল অপসারণ করে দেশের মডেল এ রাজ্য

গ্রামীণ এলাকায় জঞ্জাল অপসারণের কাজে পশ্চিমবঙ্গকেই দেশের ‘রোল মডেল’ করতে চাইছে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার৷

মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের সরকার যে ভাবে ১০০ দিনের কাজের প্রকল্পে পঞ্চায়েতে জঞ্জাল অপসারণের নয়া দিশা দেখিয়েছে , তা সারা দেশে ছড়িয়ে দিতে চায় কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার৷ তার জন্য সব রাজ্যের কাছে লিখিত নির্দেশিকা পাঠিয়েছে গ্রামোন্নয়ন মন্ত্রক৷ কেন্দ্রীয় এই নির্দেশিকায় জানানো হয়েছে , বিভিন্ন রাজ্যের কঠিন বর্জ্য নিষ্কাশন পদ্ধতি খতিয়ে দেখে পশ্চিমবঙ্গকেই দেশের আদর্শ মডেল হিসেবে চিহ্নিত করা হয়েছে৷

পঞ্চায়েতমন্ত্রী বলেন , ‘১০০ দিনের কাজে প্রকল্পে সারা দেশের মধ্যে আমরা সবার শীর্ষে রয়েছি৷ তার জন্য পুরস্কারও পেয়েছি৷ ১০০ দিনের কাজের প্রকল্পে কনভার্জেন্সেও আমরা প্রথম৷ শুধু গ্রামের কঠিন বর্জ্য নিষ্কাশনই নয় , ১০০ দিনের কাজের কর্মীরা ফ্লাই অ্যাশের ইটও তৈরি করছেন৷ ফলের বাগান বানানো হয়েছে৷ আমাদের কাজকে স্বীকৃতি না দিয়ে পারছে না কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার৷’

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday took a swipe at Modi government over the Punjab National Bank fraud saying, money laundering happened during demonetisation.

State-owned PNB has been rocked by the fraud involving billionaire diamond jeweler Nirav Modi who allegedly acquired fraudulent Letters of Undertaking (LoUs) from a branch in Mumbai to secure overseas credit from other Indian lenders.

“This is just the tip of the iceberg. This big banking fraud was fuelled at the time of Demonetisation. Big money laundering happened during DeMo,” she said in a tweet.

She further claimed that key bank officials were changed. “Who are these people put in? There are more banks involved. The full truth must come out,” she said.

পিএনবি দুর্নীতি নিয়ে আবারও সরব হলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এবার তিনি বলেন নোটবাতিলের সময় টাকা তছরুপ হয়েছিল।

একটি টুইটে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, এটা তো হিমশৈলের চুড়ো (the tip of the iceberg) মাত্র। নোটবাতিলের সময় এই ব্যাঙ্ক দুর্নীতি আরও বেড়ে গেছিল। নোটবন্দির সময় প্রচুর টাকা তছরুপ হয়েছিল।

তিনি আরও দাবি করেন ওই সময় উচ্চপদস্থ ব্যাঙ্ক অফিসারদের বদল করা হয়। তিনি দাবি জানান তাদের পরিচয় জনসমক্ষে আসুক। “আরও অনেক ব্যাঙ্ক জড়িত। সম্পূর্ণ সত্য প্রকাশ হোক” বলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

Bengal Government is going to provide low-cost meals for citizens.

Ekushe Annapurna, named after the typically Bengali lunch of dal, rice and fish curry that will come at a princely sum of Rs 21, will start as a pilot project at five places in the city from March. The final plan envisages having a total of a hundred such stalls across the state.

Initially this pilot project will be rolled out at five places – the Ruby crossing, Gariahat, DLF in New Town, Shyambazar and Salt Lake — in Kolkata, where people will get their lunch at Rs 21 only. This will start from March. There will be a hundred stalls across the state from May.

The meals will be available at a specific time to start with but, at a later stage, there are plans to make this an all-day affair.

 

চালু হচ্ছে ‘একুশে অন্নপূর্ণা’ প্রকল্প, ২১ টাকাতেই মাছ-ভাত

কথায় বলে মাছে ভাতে বাঙালি। যত‌ই বিরিয়ানি বা চাউমিন দিয়ে উদরপূর্তি করা হোক না কেন, সারাদিনে একবার জমিয়ে মাছ ভাত না খেলে, বাঙালির যেন দিনের খাওয়া সম্পূর্ণ হয় না। কিন্তু মাছের যা দাম তাতে বাজারে গেলে আঁতকে উঠতে হয়। তবে রাজ‍্য মৎস্য দপ্তরের নতুন পাইলট প্রজেক্টের মাছ ভাতের জন‍্য আর হাপিত্যেশ করতে হবে না আম বাঙালিকে। ‘একুশে অন্নপূর্ণা’ নামের এই প্রকল্পে মাত্র ২১ টাকায় পাওয়া যাবে ৫০ গ্রাম মাছ, ভাত, ডাল ও সবজি।

পাইলট প্রকল্প হিসাবে বেসরকারি সংস্থার সঙ্গে যৌথ উদ্যোগের এই প্রকল্প আপাতত চালু হয়েছে সল্টলেকের ডিএল‌এফ, রুবি, গড়িয়াহাট, শ‍্যামবাজার এলাকায়। আপাতত জেলার ডিএম অফিসের সামনে বিক্রি হবে। ব্যাটারিচালিত গাড়িতেই খাবার নিয়ে বিক্রেতারা পৌঁছে যাবেন এসব এলাকায়।

পরবর্তীকালে ১ মে থেকে রাজ‍্যের সব জেলার জেলাশাসকের দপ্তরের সামনে ও বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ জায়গায় ‘একুশে অন্নপূর্ণা‘র স্টল দেওয়া হবে। এই প্রকল্পর কথা নবান্ন সূত্রে আগেই ঘোষণা করা হয়েছিল। এবার তারই পরীক্ষামূলকভাবে শুরু হচ্ছে শহরে। এমন আয়োজনে বড়সড় সাড়া মিলবে বলেই আশা প্রকল্পের সঙ্গে যুক্ত স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠীগুলিরও।

সস্তায় মাছ, ভাত খাওয়ার এমন সুবর্ণ সুযোগ করে দেওয়ায় সাধারণ মানুষের যে দারুণ সুবিধা হতে চলেছে, তা বলাইবাহুল্য। প্রত্যেকেই তাকিয়ে রয়েছেন, এই পরিষেবা কবে থেকে চালু হবে সেদিকে।

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s initiative to set up motels along the state and the national highways – named Patha Sathi – has now spread across the state. All the 23 districts of Bengal now have Patha Sathi motels.

Each of the motels have toilets and rooms where people can take rest and have their breakfast and dinner. The State Housing Department has set up the motels. There are plans to set up more such motels in the future.

The motels are run by women belonging to self-help groups (SHG). They have helped the women to become financially self-reliant. Breakfast and dinner are prepared and served by women looking after the place. The rooms are spacious and have attached toilets. There are both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms.

Ever since Mamata Banerjee started visiting the districts regularly as a leader of the Opposition, after founding Trinamool Congress in 1998, she found that because of lack of toilets, those who travelled along state and national highways, particularly women, faced problems. In those days, petrol pumps along the highways also did not have toilets. So, after coming to power in 2011, she sanctioned the project.

After the upgrading of the state and national highways, more and more people are visiting different places in cars. Resorts have come up in remote areas and during holidays, people visit them by road. As the number of people traveling along highways has gone up, the necessity of motels for brief stays, where food is available along with clean toilets, has gone up too.

Hence, the project has been a huge success. In many places, the motels are booked almost throughout the year

 

রাজ্য সরকারের ‘পথ সাথী’ মোটেল এবার ২৩ জেলাতেই

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের উদ্যোগে রাজ্য সড়ক ও জাতীয় সড়কের ধারে মোটেল এবার সারা রাজ্যে ছড়িয়ে পড়ল। এই মোটেল গুলির পোশাকি নাম ‘পথ সাথী’। এখন রাজ্যের ২৩টি জেলাতেই পথ সাথী মোটেল আছে।

প্রতিটি মোটেলেই শৌচালয় ও থাকার ঘর আছে। বাতানুকূল ও সাধারন দুই ধরনের ঘরই আছে। এই মোটেলগুলিতে মানুষ বিশ্রাম নেওয়ার পাশাপাশি প্রাতরাশ ও নৈশভোজও সারতে পারবেন। ভবিষ্যতে আরও মোটেল তৈরী হবে।

এই মোটেলগুলি স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠীর মহিলারা পরিচালনা করেন। এতে মহিলারাও স্বাবলম্বী হচ্ছেন। প্রাতরাশ ও নৈশভোজ তৈরী করা থেকে শুরু করে পরিবেশনও এই মহিলারাই করেন।

১৯৯৮ সালে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস গঠনের পর থেকে বিরোধী নেত্রী হিসেবে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় অনেক জেলা সফর করেছেন ও দেখেছেন রাস্তাঘাটে শৌচালয়ের অভাবে খুব অসুবিধায় পড়তে হয় মহিলাদের। তাই তিনি ২০১১তে ক্ষমতায় আসার পর এই প্রকল্পের অনুমোদন দেন।

রাজ্য সড়ক ও জাতীয় সড়কের সংস্কারের পর এখন অনেকেই গাড়িতে করে দূর-দূরান্তে যাতায়াত করেন। প্রত্যন্ত পর্যটন অঞ্চলগুলিতেও রিসর্ট তৈরী হয়েছে। যেহেতু পর্যটকের সংখ্যা বাড়ছে, তাই, মোটেলের প্রয়োজনও বাড়ছে।

স্বাভাবিক ভাবেই, এই প্রকল্পের সাফল্য তুঙ্গে। কোনও কোনও মোটেল সারা বছর বুক করা থাকে।

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today expressed her anguish at the denial of loans to common people by banks, while some special people were getting crores of rupees.

In a tweet, the CM said: “Those who have Kisan Credit Cards and are entitled to loans are being denied loans. And yet some VIP bank customers are looting this country.”

She added that the self-help groups, those who run small businesses, and other commoners, are deprived of loans. And yet, special people are being given thousands of crores of rupees.

“Why this fraud? Why this fraud?” she commented.

 

 

সাধারন মানুষ ঋণ পাচ্ছে না, কেউ কোটি কোটি টাকা আত্মসাৎ করছেঃমমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

 

পাঞ্জাব ন্যাশানাল ব্যাঙ্কের বিপুল দুর্নীতি নিয়ে আজ আবারও সরব হলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

আজ ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলার এক প্রশাসনিক বৈঠকে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী উষ্মা প্রকাশ করেন, যে সাধারন মানুষ ব্যাঙ্ক থেকে সহজে ঋণ পাচ্ছে না।

তিনি বলেন, “মানুষকে ঋণ দিচ্ছে না, চাষিকে ঋণ দিচ্ছে না, স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠীগুলি ঋণ পাচ্ছে না, যদিও ব্যাঙ্ক এই ঋণ ফেরত পাবে। (কিন্তু) এমন এমন (লোককে) ঋণ দিচ্ছে, (যারা) টাকা গুলো মেরে দিয়ে চলে যাচ্ছে… হাজার হাজার কোটি টাকা। এটাকে পারস্যু করতে হবে, ব্যাঙ্কারদের মিটিংয়ে আবার তুলতে হবে ব্যাপারটা।”

প্রসঙ্গত, গতকাল তিনি বেলপাহাড়ির জনসভায় পিএনবি দুর্নীতি ইস্যুতে বলেন, এর তদন্ত না করা পর্যন্ত ছাড়ব না৷ পিএনবিতে সাড়ে এগারো হাজার কোটি টাকার দুর্নীতি হয়েছে৷ কেলেঙ্কারির তদন্ত করতে হবে৷ কে ঋণ দিল? কে নিল? সামনে আনতে হবে৷ তদন্ত না করা পর্যন্ত ছাড়ব না৷

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several schemes and projects at Nadia district.

Some of the projects inaugurated by the CM today include Anganwadi centres, Gramin Haat, road projects, new police station, solar-powered lamp posts among others.

The Chief Minister also distributed benefits under schemes like Kanyashree, Sabuj Sathi, Anandadhara, Gatidhara, and gave away land pattas, Kisan Credit Cards and other benefits.

 

Highlights of her speech:

  • My connection with Jangalmahal goes back a long way. I had started my Jana Sanjog Jatra in 1993 from Belpahari.
  • There was a time when my Adivasi brothers and sisters survived on insect eggs.
  • There was a time when there was a reign of violence in Jangalmahal. Tourists did not come to this region.
  • After coming to power, we started giving rice at Rs 2/kg to the tribals in Jangalmahal.
  • My best wishes and greetings to the people of Jangalmahal for restoring peace in the region.
  • We have made Jhargram a new district, fulfilling a long-standing demand of the people.
  • A university will be set up in Jhargram.
  • Stipend for Kanyashree girls has been increased. The old age pension of farmers has also been increased.
  • Kanyashree scheme has been extended to universities.
  • We have created a special fund to desist farmers from distress selling.
  • We have started pension scheme for kendu leaf collectors.
  • Girls are our assets. We have launched a new scheme ‘Ruposhree’ to help in the marriage of girls from poor families.
  • Nearly 1.9 lakh folk artistes receive monthly stipends and perform at government functions.
  • Those who received prizes during Jangalmahal Sports Festival, they will be recruited as civic volunteers.
  • We have started Jala Tirtha project worth Rs 500 crore to augment irrigation facilities.

  • We have constructed 25 lakh houses for the poor. We have started construction of 13,000 km of rural roads.
  • I have written again to the Centre against the FRDI Bill. They have to withdraw the draconian bill.
  • Look what happened at Punjab National Bank? A scam of more than 11,000 crore. People’ savings are not safe. There must be a thorough enquiry.
  • Some parties are trying to incite violence and disturb law and order. Do not pay heed to their provocations.
  • The surge of development in Jangalmahal will continue. For that we need your cooperation.
  • Our government is Maa, Mati, Manush government. We always work for the people.
  • We have created 81 lakh jobs in six years. This year we will create 10 lakh additional jobs.
  • We are No. 1 in creating rural employment.
  • Centre had stopped funds for ICDS and ASHA projects. Despite our financial constraints, we are running these projects with our own funds.

জঙ্গলমহলের উন্নয়ন চলবে: বেলপাহাড়িতে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

আজ ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলার বেলপাহাড়িতে পরিষেবা প্রদান অনুষ্ঠানের মঞ্চ থেকে একগুচ্ছ প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। তিনি বিভিন্ন প্রকল্পের শিলান্যাসও করেন।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী যে সকল প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করেন, তার কয়েকটি হল, আঙ্গনওয়াড়ি কেন্দ্র, গ্রামীণ হাট, হোমিওপ্যাথি ডিসপেনসারি, রাস্তার উন্নতিকরন, কমিউনিটি হল, ডিপ টিউবওয়েল, সৌরচালিত বাতিকেন্দ্র, সৌর পানীয় জল প্রকল্প, নতুন থানা ইত্যাদি।

তিনি যে সকল প্রকল্পের শিলান্যাস করেন, তার কয়েকটি হল, স্বাস্থ্যকেন্দ্রে ওপিডি কমপ্লেক্স, ইকো-ট্যুরিস্ম পার্ক, কালচারাল সেন্টার, জল সরবরাহ প্রকল্প, ক্ষুদ্র গভীর নলকূপ, প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের সংস্কার ও নতুন ভবন, খাল সংস্কার প্রকল্প ইত্যাদি।

এছাড়াও তিনি কন্যাশ্রী, সবুজসাথী, সমাজসাথী, গতিধারা, ট্র্যাক্টর, কিষাণ ক্রেডিট কার্ড ইত্যাদি পরিষেবা প্রদান করেন।

 

তাঁর বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশঃ-

  • জঙ্গলমহলের সঙ্গে আমার সম্পর্ক অনেক দিনের। ১৯৯৩ সালে আমি বেলপাহাড়ি থেকেই জনসংযোগ যাত্রা করেছিলাম।
  • আগে একটা সময় ছিল যখন এলাকার আদিবাসী ভাই বোনেরা পিঁপড়ের ডিম খেয়ে জীবনধারণ করতো।
  • আগে জঙ্গলমহলের দিকে কেউ তাকিয়েও দেখত না।
  • আমরা ক্ষমতায় আসার পর আমরা প্রথম জঙ্গলমহলের আদিবাসীদের ২ টাকা কেজি দরে চাল দেওয়া শুরু করেছি।
  • জঙ্গলমহলে আবার শান্তি ফিরে এসেছে। আপনারা ভালো থাকুন, আমার অনেক শুভেচ্ছা ও অভিনন্দন রইল।
  • ঝাড়গ্রাম নতুন জেলা তৈরি করা হয়েছে – এটা ঝাড়গ্রামের মানুষের অনেক দিনের ইচ্ছা ছিল।
  • ঝাড়গ্রামে একটি নতুন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ও নির্মাণ করা হবে।
  • কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের ভাতা ৭৫0 টাকা থেকে বারিয়ে ১০০০ টাকা করা হয়েছে। কৃষকদের পেনশন বৃদ্ধি করা হয়েছে।
  • কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের আওতায় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্রীদের আনা হয়েছে।
  • অভাবী কৃষকদের রক্ষার্থে আমরা ১০০ কোটি টাকার একটি বিশেষ তহবিল তৈরি করেছি।
  • কেন্দু পাতা সংগ্রহকারীদের জন্য পেনশন প্রকল্প চালু করা হয়েছে।
  • মেয়েরা আমাদের সম্পদ, আমাদের মর্যাদা। গরীব পরিবারের মেয়েদের বিবাহের খরচ বাবদ আর্থিক সহায়তা দেওয়া হবে সেজন্য আমরা নতুন প্রকল্প ‘রূপশ্রী’ চালু করেছি।
  • প্রায় ১.৯ লক্ষ লোক শিল্পীদের প্রত্যেক মাসে আর্থিক সহায়তা দেওয়া হচ্ছে এবং তারা সরকারী অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহনের সুযোগ পাচ্ছেন।
  • জঙ্গলমহলে যারা ভালো খেলাধুলো করে চ্যাম্পিয়ন হয়েছে তাদের সিভিক পুলিশে চাকরি দেওয়া হবে।
  • আমরা জল তীর্থ প্রকল্প চালু করেছি, এর জন্য ৫০০ কোটি টাকা বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে।
  • জঙ্গলমহলে আমরা ইকো – ট্যুরিজম প্রকল্প চালু করেছি।
  • কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারকে বারবার করে রিকুয়েস্ট করেছি কুর্মি কমিউনিটিকে তাড়াতাড়ি শিডিউল্ড ট্রাইব লিস্টে ঢোকানোর জন্য।
  • কুরুক ভাষার বিল পাস হয়ে গেছে, কুরমালি ভাষারও আমরা বিল আনছি।
  • অলচিকি ভাষায় ইতিমধ্যে ডিক্সনারিও করা হয়েছে।
  • আমরা প্রায় ২৫ লক্ষ পরিবারকে বাড়ি তৈরী করে দিয়েছি। নতুন আরও ১৩০০০ কিঃমিঃ রাস্তা তৈরীর ব্যবস্থা করে দিয়ে এলাম।
  • আমি চিঠি লিখেছি এফআরডিআই বিল উইথড্র করতে। আমরা বিজেপিকে বলেছি এই বিল উইথড্র কর।
  • কি হয়েছে পাঞ্জাব ন্যাশানাল ব্যাঙ্কে? ১১০০০ কোটি টাকার কেলেঙ্কারি। জনগণের টাকা কে খেল? এই সমস্ত দুর্নীতির তদন্ত করতে হবে।
  • মানুষ ভালো আছে, শান্তিতে আছে, এটা ওদের সহ্য হয় না, জঙ্গলমহলেও আগুন লাগানোর চেষ্টা করবে, একদম শুনবেন না।
  • জঙ্গলমহলের উন্নয়ন যেন থেমে না যায়। আপনাদের কাছে এই আবেদন থাকল।
  • ৯০% মানুষের কাছে আমাদের সরকারের কোনও না কোনও পরিষেবা পৌঁছে যায়। মা মাটি মানুষের সরকার এটাই।
  • ৬ বছরে প্রায় ৮১ লক্ষ মানুষের কর্মসংস্থানের ব্যবস্থা করেছি, এ বছরেও ১০ লক্ষ কর্মসংস্থান হবে।
  • গ্রামীণ কর্মসংস্থান সৃষ্টিতে ভারতবর্ষে আমরা নাম্বার ওয়ান।
  • কেন্দ্র আইসিডিএস, আশার টাকা বন্ধ করে দিয়েছে। আমরা এত অসুবিধের মধ্যেও সব প্রকল্প নিজের টাকায় চালিয়ে যাচ্ছি, মাইনেও বাড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে।
  • আমাদের সরকার সবসময় মানুষের পাশে থাকে, আমার নিজস্ব কোনও অ্যাজেন্ডা নেই, আমার জীবন সংগ্রামী জীবন, যতদিন বাঁচব, মানুষের জন্য কাজ করব।

The Chandramukhi variety of potato is well-known as being suitable for making superior variety of chips.

Hence, the Bengal Government’s Agriculture Department has taken up a project to encourage farmers, through the giving of subsidies, to cultivate the Chandramukhi variety of potato. At present, the variety is cultivated over 10 hectares in the state.

To achieve a higher production of the Chandramukhi variety, the department is also considering setting up soil testing centres in every subdivision. Currently, there are 18 soil testing laboratories in the state, of which 12 belong to the State Government.

The government would also set up workshops to educate farmers on this aspect, including training them on the aspects of cultivation.

 

চিপস তৈরীতে চন্দ্রমুখী আলু

চিপস তৈরীতে চাই চন্দ্রমুখী। সেই আলুর চাষ বাড়াতে তাই কৃষকদের ভর্তুকি দেওয়ার কথা ভাবছে রাজ্য সরকার। গোটা রাজ্যে চন্দ্রমুখী আলুর উৎপাদন হয় ১০ হেক্টর মতো জমিতে। এই পরিস্থিতিতে চিপসের উৎপাদন বাড়াতে অনেক প্রস্তাব আসছে। জ্যোতি আলু চাহিদামতো সেই জোগান দিতে পারছে না, পাল্লা দিতে চাষিরাও চন্দ্রমুখীর ওপর ভরসা করছে।

এতে আখেরে লাভ চাষিদেরই, পাশাপাশি চিপস তৈরী করে খাদ্য উৎপাদনে জোগান বাড়িতে সরকারও রাজস্ব বাড়াতে আগ্রহী। তাই, প্রয়োজনে চাষিদের ভর্তুকি দিয়ে চন্দ্রমুখী আলু চাষে সহযোগিতার কথা জানিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার।

মাটি ও চন্দ্রমুখী আলুর বীজ পরীক্ষাকেন্দ্র তৈরী করা হবে রাজ্য, জানিয়েছেন মন্ত্রী। এই মুহূর্তে রাজ্যে ১৮টি মাটি পরীক্ষাকেন্দ্র আছে, যার মধ্যে ১২টি সরকারি। মন্ত্রীর কথায়, প্রতি মহকুমায় একটি করে মাটি পরীক্ষাকেন্দ্র তৈরী করে চন্দ্রমুখী আলুর বাড়ন্ত চাহিদার সঙ্গে পাল্লা দেওয়ার কথা ভাবা হয়েছে। কর্মশালায় চাষিদের এনে উৎসাহ ও প্রশিক্ষণের পাশাপাশি প্রয়োজনে দেওয়া হবে ভর্তুকিও।

Seeing high demand from sightseers for touring in houseboats, the Bengal Government’s Tourism Department has decided to introduce the same in the rivers and coastal tourist spots of the state.

Two houseboats are stationed near Babughat, at the department’s jetty. Six more are to be bought soon, four of which would be kept in Digha, Mandarmani and Tajpur. Depending on their popularity houseboats would be introduced at riverine tourist spots across the state.

There would be elaborate arrangements in the houseboats. Besides for touring, they can be hired for birthday parties, wedding receptions and conferences. For conferences, there would be sitting arrangements for 20 people in each vessel.  There would be banquet halls and double-bedded rooms, as well as a bar and a restaurant. All rooms would be air-conditioned.

 

গঙ্গা, সমুদ্র ও সুন্দরবনে হাউসবোটে ভ্রমণ

পর্যটন দপ্তর সমীক্ষা করে দেখেছে, সমুদ্রসৈকতে বেড়ানোর পাশাপাশি গভীর সমুদ্রের রূপ দেখতেও বহু পর্যটক আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করে থাকেন। তাই, পর্যটন দপ্তর এবার নিয়ে এল গঙ্গায় হাউসবোট এবং এটিতে চেপেই পাড়ি দেওয়া যাবে সমুদ্রে।

চাইলে জন্মদিনের পার্টি, বিয়ের রিসেপশন, ছোট খাটো কনফারেন্সের আয়োজনও করা যাবে এই হাউসবোটগুলিতে। কনফারেন্স হলে ২০জনের মতো মানুষ বসার ব্যবস্থা থাকছে। থাকছে ব্যাঙ্কোয়েট হল ও ডবল বেডের রুম। থাকছে বার ও রেস্তোরাঁও।

আপাতত, বাবুঘাটের কাছে দপ্তরের জেটির সামনে আপাতত দুটি হাউসবোট রাখা হয়েছে, আরও ৬টি আসছে খুব শীঘ্র কেরল থেকে। জনপ্রিয়তা বাড়লে রাজ্যের আরও বিভিন্ন স্থানে এই পরিষেবা চালু করবে পর্যটন দপ্তর।

এই বোটে সাধারন মানুষের থাকার জন্যও ব্যবস্থা করা হবে। চারটি থাকবে দিঘা, মন্দারমনি, তাজপুরের খাঁড়িতে। এতে পর্যটকেরা হাউসবোটে থেকেই সমুদ্রের মজা উপভোগ করতে পারবেন।
