The State Government is going to celebrate World Food Day today. A function to commemorate the event will be held at 11 AM.

From the day she assumed the chair of Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee has worked towards ensuring food for all. The Food and Supplies Department is working towards fulfilling her dream.

• The Govt has procured record quantity of paddy this year. 39.52 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been procured from 6.29 lakh farmers at minimum support price.

• Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee initiated the Khadya Sathi food security scheme to provide rice and wheat at Rs 2 per kg to around seven crore people, which is almost 90 per cent of the state’s population, including special packages for the people of Jangalmahal and the Hills, the Cyclone Aaila-affected, the farmers of Singur, workers and non-workers of closed tea gardens, the tribals of Totopara in Alipurduar district, and destitute and homeless people.

• Allocation of foodgrains under PDS has been increased manifold during the last six years

• Special drive in association with the Health and Family Welfare Department to provide free-of-cost nutritional support ( package of 5 kg rice, 2.5 kg wheat, 1 kg masoor dal and 1 kg Bengal gram per month per month ) to approximately 4,000 severely acute malnourished children and their mothers per annum

• Storage capacity of grains distributed through PDS enhanced from 62,000 metric tonnes (MT) to 6 lakh MT

• Special food packages are distributed during festive season (Eid, Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Chhat) to cater to the needs of the people.

The Bengal Government is committed to ensure that every citizen of the State has access to food.

 

আজ বিশ্ব খাদ্য দিবস পালন করা হল রাজ্যে

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের অনুপ্রেরণায় ও খাদ্য ও সরবরাহ দপ্তরের উদ্যোগে আজ বেলা ১১টায় ‘বিশ্ব খাদ্য দিবস’ পালন করা হল।

মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর আহ্বান ‘সকলের জন্য খাদ্য’। তাঁর এই আহ্বান কার্যকর করার লক্ষ্যে খাদ্য ও সরবরাহ দপ্তর কাজ করে চলেছে।

• চলতি বছরে রেকর্ড পরিমাণ ধান সংগ্রহ করেছে রাজ্য সরকার। চলতি বছরে ৬ লক্ষ ২৯ হাজার কৃষকদের থেকে ন্যূনতম সহায়ক মুল্যে ৩৯ লক্ষ ৫২ হাজার মেট্রিক টন ধান সংগ্রহ করা হয়েছে।

• গত ছয় বছরে রাজ্যের খাদ্য শস্য মজুত ভাণ্ডারের রাখার ক্ষমতা ১০ গুণ বৃদ্ধি করা হয়েছে।যার ফলে বর্তমানে রাজ্যে খাদ্য মজুত ভাণ্ডারের পরিমাণ ৬ লক্ষ ১০ হাজার মেট্রিক টন। বর্তমানে আরও ৩ লক্ষ ৫০ হাজার মেট্রিক টন বাড়ানোর কাজ চলছে।

• চা বাগানের ৮ লক্ষ ওয়ার্কার, নন-ওয়ার্কার রয়েছেন। প্রতি মাসে সেই সমস্ত পরিবার ৩৫ কিলো করে খাবার পান।

• রাজ্য সরকারের তৎপরতায় পাহাড়ে ৮ লক্ষ ৭৫ হাজার মানুষকে রেশন ব্যবস্থায় আনা হয়েছে। প্রত্যেকে ১১ কেজি করে খাবার পাচ্ছেন।

• খাদ্য ও সরবরাহ দপ্তর রাজ্যের প্রায় ৮ কোটি ৩৪ লক্ষ অর্থাৎ ৯১ শতাংশ মানুষকে গণবণ্টন প্রক্রিয়ার মাধ্যমে খাদ্যসাথী প্রকল্পের আওতার মধ্যে এনেছে। এই ৯১ শতাংশ মানুষের মধ্যে আছেন জঙ্গলমহল এলাকাবাসী, সিঙ্গুরের অনিচ্ছুক কৃষক পরিবার, আয়লায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত পরিবার, বন্ধ চা বাগানের শ্রমিক ও তাঁদের পরিবার এবং পার্বত্য অঞ্চলের বসবাসকারী জনসাধারণ।

• এছাড়াও গম, চিনি, কেরোসিন তেল ও উৎসব মরশুমে (ঈদ, রমজান, দুর্গোৎসব, কালীপুজো, ছট) ভোজ্য তেল, ছোলা, ময়দা, চিনি সরবরাহ করা হয়।

সারা রাজ্যে স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যাণ দপ্তরের সহযোগিতায় অপুষ্ট শিশু ও তাঁদের মায়েদের ৫ কিলোগ্রাম চাল, ১ কিলোগ্রাম মসুর ডাল, ২.৫ কিলোগ্রাম গম বা পুষ্টিযুক্ত আটা এবং ১ কিলোগ্রাম ছোলা বিতরণ করা হচ্ছে।

The West Bengal Khadi & Village Industries Board (WBKVIB) is constructing a ‘Common Production Centre’ for machine-making nolen gur, which are sold in tubes.

The manufacturing centre is coming up in Majdia in Nadia distirct. Till now, the gur for selling in tubes was made by hand, in the traditional way. Now, to increase the amount of gur being produced, automation is being introduced. This would also result in employment.

Two years back, WBKVIB had introduced an all-time favourite item of Bengalis’ – nolen gur – in tubes, like toothpaste tubes. The tubed gur is easy to use and store, and for this reason has become very popular.

WBKVIB falls under the administrative control of the Micro and Small Scale Enterprises (MSME) and Textiles Department of the Bengal Government.

Another good news for those buying the nolen gur tubes is that recently, the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) has increased the expiry period of the tubed gur from 120 days to 180 days, that is, from four months to six months.

নলেন গুড়ের ‘কমন প্রোডাকশন সেন্টার’ গড়ছে রাজ্য 

পশ্চিমবঙ্গ খাদি ও গ্রামোদ্যোগ বোর্ড একটি নলেন গুড়ের ‘কমন প্রোডাকশন সেন্টার’ গড়ছে যেখানে যন্ত্রের মাধ্যমে নলেন গুড় তৈরি হবে, যেগুলি টিউবে করে বিক্রি হবে।

এটি তৈরি হচ্ছে নদীয়া জেলার মাজদিয়ায়। এখনও পর্যন্ত যে নলেন গুড় টিউবে বিক্রি হয়, তা হাতে তৈরি হত। এখন উৎপাদন বাড়াতে নেওয়া হবে যন্ত্রের সাহায্য। এর ফলে বাড়বে কর্মসংস্থান।

দু’বছর আগে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ খাদি ও গ্রামোদ্যোগ বোর্ড প্রথম বাজারে আনে টিউবের মাধ্যমে নলেন গুড়। যেহেতু এই গুড় সংরক্ষণ ও ব্যবহার করা খুব সহজ, তাই দুবছরেই এটি বেশ জনপ্রিয়তা লাভ করেছে।

পশ্চিমবঙ্গ খাদি ও গ্রামোদ্যোগ বোর্ডকে প্রশাসনিক ভাবে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করে ক্ষুদ্র ও কুটির শিল্প ও বস্ত্র দপ্তর।

আরও সুখবর হল এই যে, সম্প্রতি ইন্ডিয়ান স্কুল অফ প্যাকেজিং এই গুড়ের মেয়াদ ১২০ দিন থেকে বাড়িয়ে করেছে ১৮০ দিন।

Taking selfies is the craze now, and few experiences can better that of taking a selfie with a royal Bengal tiger. Well, not a live one, but so what? The Sundarbans Walkthrough Diorama at the Marine Aquarium and Regional Centre (MARC) in Digha in Purba Medinipur district gives you that opportunity now.

A diorama is a model representing a scene with three-dimensional figures, either in miniature or as a large-scale museum exhibit.

The diorama at MARC is a large-scale exhibit imitating the floral and faunal architecture of the Sundarbans. The soil is just like the soft soil of the Sundarbans. Besides life-size models of tigers, crocodiles and other animals, the life of fishermen of the region has also been depicted.

Entering the diorama would give one the impression that one has come to the Sundarbans. This is as real an experience as a model could give.

Since the Trinamool Congress came to power in 2011, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has taken a lot of initiatives to make Digha into a world-class resort. Over the last six years, various parks, roads, walkways, etc. have been built. Tourists now have access to a lot of amenities. Biswa Bangla Park has become a tourist hot spot. A coast-hugging highway, named ‘Saikat Sarani’ by Mamata Banerjee, stretches from Digha right through to Udaypur, which has become very popular with tourists. A lot of trees have been planted. A helicopter service has been introduced too, connecting Digha to Kolkata.

দিঘার নয়া আকর্ষণ রয়্যাল বেঙ্গল টাইগারের সঙ্গে সেলফি

নিজের মোবাইলে সেলফি তোলার মজাই আলাদা। তার ওপর সেই সেলফি যদি রয়্যাল বেঙ্গল টাইগারের সঙ্গে হয়, তাহলে তো কথাই নেই। জীবনের ঝুঁকি ছাড়াই দিঘায় সমুদ্রস্নানে এসে সেই সুযোগ নিতে পারবেন পর্যটকেরা। শুধু রয়্যাল বেঙ্গল টাইগার নয়, সুন্দরবনের কুমির কিংবা তিমি মাছের সঙ্গে সেলফি তুলেও হোয়াটস অ্যাপ বা ফেসবুকের ডিপি দিতে পারবেন পর্যটকেরা। তার জন্য দিঘার মেরিন অ্যাকুয়ারিয়ামে একবার আসতেই হবে।

২০১১ সালে রাজ্যে ক্ষমতা বদলের পর রাজ্য সরকার দিঘা, মন্দারমনি সহ পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর জেলার সবকটা সমুদ্র সৈকত নগরীর পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে পর্যটকদের আকর্ষণ বাড়াতে একের পর এক রূপদান করে চলেছে। যোগাযোগ পরিষেবার মান বাড়াতে সড়ক ও রেলপথের পাশাপাশি আকাশ পথে হেলিকপ্টারে রাজ্যের রাজধানী কলকাতার সঙ্গে দিঘাকে যুক্ত করেছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

এবার নয়া আকর্ষণ- সুন্দরবন ওয়াকথ্রু ডায়রামা প্রকল্পে মিউজিয়ামের একটা অংশকে সুন্দরবনের পরিবেশের মতো সাজিয়ে তোলা হয়েছে। এই এলাকার মাটি একেবারে সুন্দরবনের এলাকার মাটির মতো তৈরি করা হয়েছে। তার মধ্যে মডেলের মাধ্যমে মৎস্যজীবীদের জীবনযাত্রা, রয়্যাল বেঙ্গল টাইগার, কুমির প্রভৃতি সুন্দরবনের জীবজন্তু তুলে আনা হয়েছে।

এই এলাকায় ঢুকে পড়লে যে কোনও মানুষের মনে হবে তাঁরা সুন্দরবনের কোনও এলাকায় ঢুকে পড়েছেন। ফলে সমুদ্রের আনন্দ নিতে এসে পর্যটকেরা কৃত্রিম ভাবে হলেও সুন্দরবন ঘুরে দেখার স্বাদ নিতে পারবেন।

The Bengal Government has been taking a lot of steps to help the traditional patachitra artistes of Bengal.

Patachitra is a form of art which presents paintings on scrolls or flat canvases depicting mythological tales or narrating current events. A unique aspect of this art form is that it is not just that the paintings are presented, but the artiste also sings songs to describe the events depicted. Patachitra artistes have been traditional fares at fairs across rural Bengal for centuries.

The State Government has also been educating the artistes about the need to make their art form hum in tune with the times.

Artistes are now making patachitra paintings on various articles of clothing, like on shirts, kurtas, dhotis, sarees, hand fans and even on umbrellas. Some sarees may have the full story of the Ramayana or just aspects of it or indigenous folk tales, like the story about a marriage of fishes.

According to an artiste, the State Government has been doing a lot to spread awareness about the art form across the country. He said that because of the opportunities being provided, he has been able to go to three states to sell his creations. He also raised another important point about the preservation of the art form – that the songs which the artistes sing while presenting their paintings also needs to be preserved; this is the way to comprehensively preserve the art form.

The government has also been sending delegations of patachitra artistes to various exhibitions and fairs in other countries.

সরকারের উদ্য্যগে পটশিল্পকে বাঁচানোর চেষ্টা

দেশের অন্যতম প্রাচীন শিল্প হচ্ছে ‘পটশিল্প ‘যা এখন প্রায় বিলুপ্তির পথে।দেশের অন্যতম প্রাচীন শিল্পকে নিয়ে বিদেশের মাটিতে প্রচার চালাচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকার। এই শিল্পকে জিইয়ে রাখতে বিভিন্ন ধরনের মেলায় মেলায় ঘুরে বেড়ান এই পটশিল্পীরা। নতুন প্রজন্মের কাছে আরও আকর্ষণীয় করতে নতুন মোড়কে ,নতুন চমকে পটশিল্পকে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে। তাই ব্যবহারের সামগ্রীর ওপর এই পটচিত্র তৈরি করা হচ্ছে।

আজকের প্রজন্মের মধ্যে এই শিল্পকে ছড়িয়ে দিতে শার্ট ,কুর্তা ,কুর্তি ,শাড়ি,হাতপাখা ও সর্বোপরি ছাতাতেও পটশিল্পের চল শুরু হয়েছে। কোনও শাড়ির মধ্যে পুরো রামায়ণের কাহিনি ,কখনও বা মাছের বিয়ের কাহিনি তুলে ধরা হয় ছাতার মাধ্যমে।এছাড়াও সীতাহরণ ,রাম রাবনের যুদ্ধ ,রামের বনবাসের কাহিনি তুলে ধরা হয় এই পটভূমিতে।

এক চিত্রকার বলেন ,’পটশিল্পকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখার জন্য রাজ্য সরকার অনেক কিছু করেছে। আমি নিজে এখন ভিনরাজ্য গিয়ে গান গেয়ে পট তৈরি করে বিক্রি করার সুযোগ পেয়েছি। তবে প্রত্যেক পটের আলাদা আলাদা কাহিনি রয়েছে। যা তৎকালীন ও বর্তমান সমাজের ওপর ভিত্তি করে তৈরি হয়। শুধুমাত্র ছবি আঁকলেই হয় না ,পটের গানকেও বাঁচাতে হবে ,তবেই এই পটসঙ্গীত বেঁচে থাকবে’।

This is the first time that a football World Cup is being held in India, and Kolkata is hosting eight matches in six days, including the final.

Thousands of people are going to arrive at the stadium on each of these days to see the matches. One of the things the Bengal Government is doing to make the World Cup a success is ensuring that spectators coming to see the matches have easy access to transport.

The Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate has collaborated with a company which has created the parking app, ‘Park Snap’.

After downloading the app (for Android phones), one needs to go to the section ‘World Cup-17’. There one can locate all parking spaces around the Salt Lake Stadium, or Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan. After keying in the ticket number and gate number for accessing the stadium (given on the ticket as well), one would be able to see the parking spaces near that gate as well as the route to access those parking spots.

Parking spots can be booked in advance as well through the app, after which one would get a queue number and a code. At the particular parking area, the code can be scanned to have access to the pre-booked spot.

The Bidhannagar Police has designated eight areas around the stadium for parking purposes.

যুব বিশ্বকাপের জন্য পার্কিং মোবাইল অ্যাপের ব্যবস্থা করল বিধাননগর পুলিশ

এই প্রথমবার ফুটবল নিয়ে কোনও একটি বিশ্বকাপ ভারতে আয়োজন করা হচ্ছে। আর সারা বিশ্বকাপের সবকটি খেলার মধ্যে অনেকগুলি অনুষ্ঠিত হবে বিবেকানন্দ যুবভারতী ক্রীড়াঙ্গনে।

সারা ভারতের মধ্যে বাংলা হল ফুটবল প্রেমী রাজ্য। ফুটবল বিশ্বকাপের ফাইনাল ম্যাচ নিয়ে সুরক্ষা ব্যবস্থাকে উন্নত করার পাশাপাশি ম্যাচ দেখতে আসা প্রায় ৬৬ হাজার মানুষের গাড়ির পার্কিং-এর জন্য উপযুক্ত ব্যবস্থা করছে পুলিশ। পার্কিং সমস্যা থেকে মানুষকে মুক্তি দিতে একটি নতুন পার্কিং অ্যাপের ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে। এই অ্যাপটির নাম পার্ক স্ন্যাপ।

বিধাননগর সিটি পুলিশের সঙ্গে গাঁটছড়া বেঁধে এবার বিশ্বকাপের সময় এই স্টেডিয়াম সংলগ্ন জায়গাতে পার্কিং কোথায় করা হবে সেই সম্বন্ধে বিশদে তথ্য দেবে। তার জন্য ওই মোবাইল অ্যাপটি ডাউনলোড করে সেখানে গিয়ে বিশ্বকাপ-১৭ তে যেতে হবে। পরে সেই জায়গাতে টিকিট নম্বর এবং গেট নম্বর দিয়ে দিলেই যে কেউ দেখে নিতে পারবে তার গেট সংলগ্ন কোথায় গাড়ি পার্কিং করা যাবে। তাছাড়া সেই পার্কিং-এ যেতে গেলে কোন রাস্তা দিয়ে যেতে হবে তাও নেভিগেশনের মাধ্যমে দেওয়া থাকবে ওই অ্যাপে।

শুধু তাই নয়, এই অ্যাপ থেকে পার্কিং করার জন্য আগে থেকেই জায়গা বুক করে নিতে পারবেন দর্শকরা। পরে কেবল পার্কিং করার আগে কিউ আর কোড স্ক্যান করিয়ে নিলেই সেখানে পার্কিং মিলবে সহজে। এই কারণে পুলিশের তরফ থেকে গোটা ক্রীড়াঙ্গন সংলগ্ন জায়গা জুড়ে মোট ৮ টি জায়গায় গাড়ি পার্কিং-এর ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে।

Football fever is peaking in Bengal, what with the FIFA Under-17 World Cup being organised in Kolkata, which is one of the six venues across India, and also the venue for the final. Along with football, fish is another favourite of Bengalis.

Giving occasion to celebrate the combination of favourites – football and fish – the West Bengal Fisheries Development Corporation (WBFDC) is organising a fish festival across all its restaurants in Kolkata. The festival has been named after Gostho Paul, the first Bengali football icon of the country.

According to an official of WBFDC, the World Cup special menu has been named Football Fever and will be available from October 8 to 28 at select stalls, including the restaurants at Nalban, Eco Park, the State Secretariat, Nabanna and other places. It is priced at Rs 399 per plate.

The Football Fever thali (platter) comprises special jeera rice, googlie (a kind of pond snail) dribble, cooked in the style of fish kabiraji, googlie chop, crab crossbar, prawn malaikari and another prawn preparation named after football, Venmai penalty, which is prawn cooked with parsley leaves and lemon. Another dish, a variation of a Middle Eastern preparation, is also available and is called Ombuck Mustard Kick. To round it off, a dessert in the form of a sandesh named after the apex world football body, FIFA, has been added.

 

অনূর্ধ্ব ১৭ বিশ্বকাপ উপলক্ষে মৎস্য উৎসবের সূচনা রাজ্য সরকারের

ভারতের আর ৬টি শহরের মত কলকাতায় অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে অনূর্ধ্ব ১৭ বিশ্বকাপ ফুটবল। কলকাতায় অনুষ্ঠিত হবে কোয়ার্টার ফাইনাল, তৃতীয় স্থান ও ফাইনালের মতো উল্লেখযোগ্য খেলা। তাই, ফুটবল বিশ্বকাপকে কেন্দ্র করে এই শহরে এখন টান টান উত্তেজনা।

ফুটবলের মত বাঙালির আরেক প্রিয় জিনিস হল মাছ। বিশ্বকাপকে মাথায় রেখে রাজ্য সরকারের মৎস্য দপ্তর আয়োজন করেছে মৎস্য উৎসবের। মৎস্য দপ্তর রাজ্যে তাদের সব রেস্তোরাঁগুলোতে এই উৎসবের আয়োজন করেছে। এই উৎসবের নাম রাখা হয়েছে ভারতের প্রথম বাঙালী ফুটবলের প্রাণপুরুষ গোষ্ঠ পালের নামে।

বিশ্বকাপের জন্য যে স্পেশ্যাল মেনু করা হয়েছে, তার নাম রাখা হয়েছে ‘ফুটবল ফিভার’। এই মেনুর খাবার পাওয়া যাবে অক্টোবরের ২৮ তারিখ পর্যন্ত। এই রেস্তরাঁগুলো আছে নলবনে, ইকো পার্ক, স্টেট সেক্রেটারিয়েট, নবান্নে ও অন্যান্য স্থানে। এই স্পেশ্যাল মেনুর খাবারের দাম রাখা হয়েছে ৩৯৯ টাকা প্রতি প্লেট।

এই স্পেশ্যাল থালিতে থাকছে, জিরা রাইস, ফিস কবিরাজির আদলে রান্না করা গুগলি, গুগলির চপ, কাঁকড়ার একটি পদ, চিংড়ির মালাইকারি, আরেকটি চিংড়ির পদ যার নাম ফুটবলের নামে রাখা হয়েছে, ভেনমাই পেনাল্টি।

আরেকটি মধ্যপ্রাচ্যের থালি তৈরি করা হয়েছে, নাম দেওয়া হয়েছে ওম্বাক মাস্তার্ড কিক। এই দুটি থালির শেষেই থাকবে একটি বিশেষ ধরনের সন্দেশ, যার নাম রাখা হয়েছে, ফিফা।

The Bengal Government has arranged for water pouches free of cost for the spectators going to the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan (VYBK) to watch the FIFA Under-17 World Cup matches. The pouches are available at ‘May I Help You’ kiosks inside the stadium.

Another measure taken by the government for the ease of spectators is allowing them to carry raincoats, since there is prediction of rain during the duration of the tournament.

These measures are among the many which have made the World Cup a much pleasurable experience for all concerned.

 

যুবভারতীতে দর্শকদের জলের পাউচ দেবে রাজ্য

ফিফা অনূর্ধ্ব ১৭ বিশ্বকাপে বিনা পয়সায় জলের পাউচ বিলি করবে রাজ্য সরকার। স্টেডিয়ামের ভিতরে ‘মে আই হেল্প ইউ’ কিয়স্ক থেকে সেই পাউচ সংগ্রহ তৈরি করতে পারবেন খেলা দেখতে আসা দর্শকরা।

The Bengal Government has made tight security arrangements at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK) for the FIFA Under-17 World Cup.

The stadium, refurbished at a huge cost, will host 10 matches, including the final, across six days. The first set of matches were held on October 8.

The security arrangements at a glance:

  • Stadium gates will be opened two hours before the matches
  • All tickets will be scanned before letting ticket-holders enter the stadium
  • Once a ticket-holder leaves the stadium, the person won’t be allowed in again
  • Spectators will not be allowed to carry bags, newspapers, cold drinks and bottles of water inside
  • Spectators will be allowed to carry raincoats
  • Women will be allowed to carry handbags inside
  • There will be 110 ticket-checking points, all of which will have doorframe metal detectors passing through which will be compulsory for spectators
  • Spectators will be allowed to carry in flags of countries they are supporting but no sticks or stick-like objects will be allowed
  • To avoid any confusion, the tickets for all the six days (10 matches) are of different colours
  • Only FIFA-approved vendors will sell drinking water at the stadium
  • State Government will distribute water pouches free of cost at the parking venue
  • Parking space for 2,600 cars is being provided
  • To avoid unnecessary congestion, quite a few areas have been marked as no-parking zones
  • The police have been trained in such a way that, if necessary, all 66,000 spectators can be evacuated within eight minutes
  • To secure the area, 260 CCTV cameras have been installed
  • A police control room has been opened inside the stadium
  • The Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate has tied up with two prominent hospitals in Salt Lake to admit any spectator who may need treatment
  • Smoking will be banned at the stadium premises

অনূর্ধ্ব ১৭ বিশ্বকাপকে পাখির চোখ করে পুরো নিরাপত্তায় ঢেকে গেছে বিবেকানন্দ যুবভারতী ক্রীড়াঙ্গন।

  • খেলা শুরুর দু’ঘণ্টা আগে খোলা হবে স্টেডিয়ামের গেট।
  • ফিফা মনোনীত সংস্থা স্টেডিয়ামে জল বিক্রি করবে।
  • থাকছে ২৬০০ গাড়ির পার্কিং। পার্কিং এরিয়ায় বিনামূল্যে জল বিতরণ করবে রাজ্য সরকার।
  • বেশ কিছু অঞ্চল নো-পার্কিং জোন হিসেবে চিহ্নিত করা হবে।
  • প্রতিদিনের জন্য আলাদা আলাদা রঙের টিকিট।
  • স্টেডিয়ামে ঢোকার আগে প্রতিটি টিকিট স্ক্যান করা হবে।
  • একবার স্টেডিয়াম থেকে বেরিয়ে গেলে ওই টিকিট নিয়ে ফের স্টেডিয়ামে ঢোকা যাবে না।
  • মহিলারা ব্যাগ নিয়ে প্রবেশ করতে পারবেন।
  • থাকছে ১১০টা চেকিং পয়েন্ট। প্রবেশদ্বারে মেটাল ডিটেক্টর দিয়ে ঢুকতে হবে দর্শকদের।
  • পছন্দের দেশের পতাকা নিয়ে ঢোকা যাবে তবে লাঠি জাতীয় কিছু নিয়ে ঢোকা যাবে না।
  • কোনও দুর্ঘটনা ঘটলে ৬৬হাজার দর্শককে আট মিনিটের মধ্যে স্টেডিয়াম থেকে বাইরে বার করে আনতে পারবে পুলিশ কর্মী।
  • যুবভারতী চত্বরে ধূমপানও নিষেধ।
  • নিরাপত্তার জন্য ২৬০টি সিসি টিভি থাকছে। কন্ট্রোল রুম খোলা হচ্ছে স্টেডিয়ামের মধ্যেই।
  • কেউ অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়লে থাকছে চিকিৎসার ব্যবস্থা। সল্টলেকের দুটি হাসপাতালের সঙ্গে গাঁটছড়া বাঁধছে কমিশনারেট।
  • ব্যাগ, খবরের কাগজ, কোল্ড ড্রিঙ্কসের ও জলের বোতল নিয়ে প্রবেশ নিষেধ।
  • থাকছে স্টুয়ার্ট স্কোয়াড

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee gave away the Biswa Bangla Sharad Samman today at Nazrul Mancha.

The Chief Minister had instituted these awards three years ago. Apart from the awards for the best Durga Pujas, the Chief Minister also started Durga Puja Bisarjan Carnival from 2016. The carnival has become extremely popular across the world.

It is a tradition to meet your near and dear ones for mishtimukh after Bijoya. I am happy to meet with you all on this occasion.

Crores of people had visited various pandals during the festive days. But there had not been any untoward incidents. My best wishes to all for maintaining peace and harmony during Durga Pujo.

his year, Muharram and Durga Puja happened at the same time, this happens every 25-30 years. For the last four to five years, the people of Bengal have been celebrating Durga Puja and Muharram around the same time. This year, the celebrations were totally incident-free, for which I congratulate the puja committees and the people.

We all follow some religion or the other, but we all celebrate festivals together. A lot of conspiracies were hatched, but to the credit of you all, no untoward incident happened during the happy festival. What Bengal can do, no one else can. I am sure had Ganapati Visarjan and Muharram coincided, Maharashtra would not have been able to conduct them in a smooth manner.

A lot of foreign tourists came to Bengal to witness the grand festival. Durga Puja has now become a 10-day festival. So many artistes toil tirelessly for months on end to create such beautiful pieces of art. Durga Pujo generates huge employment opportunities.

This year the Bishorjon Carnival was a huge success. Several crores of people watched it from across the world online. I have been flooded with congratulatory comments on social media. This year 70 clubs participated; next year we will include 10 more clubs.

I appeal to you all to exercise caution during Kali Pujo. Do follow the fire safety norms. Do not let your celebration become a cause of concern for someone else. My advance wishes for Chhat and Jagadhatri Pujo. The festive season has just begun and will continue till Gangasagar Mela in January.

 

 

বিশ্ব বাংলা শারদ সম্মান ২০১৭ পুরস্কার বিতরণ করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

 

আজ নজরুল মঞ্চে বিশ্ব বাংলা শারদ সম্মান ২০১৭ পুরস্কার বিতরণ করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। এই নিয়ে তৃতীয় বর্ষে পড়ল এই সম্মাননা প্রদান।

এবারের পুরস্কার বিজয়ীদের তালিকা দেখে নিন।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশঃ-

বিজয়ার পরে মিষ্টিমুখ করার একটা প্রথা আছে। আজ আপনাদের সাথে মিলিত হয়ে খুব ভালো লাগছে। কোটি কোটি মানুষ পুজোয় প্যান্ডেলে প্যান্ডেলে ঠাকুর দেখেছেন। কিন্তু, কোথাও কোনও অপ্রীতিকর ঘটনা ঘটেনি। সবাইকে আমি অভিনন্দন জানাই। প্রচুর বিদেশী অতিথি এসে প্রশংসা করেছেন।

আমি ধন্যবাদ জানাচ্ছি এই কারণে যে পুজোর দিনগুলো সুন্দর ভাবে, শান্তিপূর্ণ ভাবে আপনারা পালন করেছেন। মহরম ও পুজো একসঙ্গে ছিল। ১৯৮২ সালে একই সাথে মহরম ও পুজো পড়েছিল। এরকম ২৫-৩০ বছর পরপর হয়। গত ৪/৫ বছর ধরে পুজো-মহরম একই সময় বাংলার মানুষ করে এসেছে। এবার কোনও ঘটনা ঘটেনি। এই কৃতিত্ব কিন্তু সকল পুজো কমিটির ও মানুষের।

ধর্ম যার যার, উৎসব সবার। চক্রান্ত কম হয়নি, প্ররোচনা কম হয়নি, কিন্তু, পুজো কমিটিগুলো এই ফাঁদে পা দেয়নি। আমি প্রতিটা মানুষকে আমার অভিনন্দন জানাই।

মহারাষ্ট্র একসাথে গণপতি বিসর্জন ও মহরম একসঙ্গে করে  দেখাতে পারবে না। বাংলা যা পারে, অন্য কেউ তা পারে না।

এই পুজোকে কেন্দ্র করে প্রচুর কর্মসংস্থান হয়। পুজো শুধু বিগ নয়- ‘বিগেস্ট ইনভেস্টমেন্ট’। মাসের পর মাস খেটে শিল্পীরা চমকে দেওয়ার মতো প্যান্ডেল বানায়।

এবছর ৭০টি ক্লাবকে নিয়ে বিসর্জন হয়েছে, সামনের বার আরও ১০টি ক্লাব বাড়বে। বিশ্বজুড়ে কোটি কোটি মানুষ অনলাইনে এই কার্নিভ্যাল দেখেন। আমার কাছে প্রচুর শুভেচ্ছা বার্তা এসছে।

সামনেই কালী পুজো। সবার ভাল কাটুক। আগুন নিয়ে সাবধান, আলোকের এই ঝর্ণাধারায় সবার জীবন ভরে উঠুক। বাজি পোড়ানোর সময় সতর্ক থাকবেন, আপনার আনন্দ যেন অন্য কারো দুঃখের কারণ না হয়।

ছট পুজো ও জগদ্ধাত্রী পুজোর আগাম শুভেচ্ছা জানাই। সবে তো উৎসব শুরু হল, এই উৎসবের মরশুম চলবে গঙ্গাসাগর মেলা পর্যন্ত।

সবাই ভাল থাকুন, সুস্থ থাকুন, সাবধানে থাকুন।

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held a meeting at the State secretariat, Nabanna today to take stock of the State’s preparedness to combat dengue and other diseases which have been occurring recently.

After the meeting she held a press conference, where she asked the district authorities as well as the people to be alert. She said that at the meeting she came to know that in Deganga only one person had died due to dengue. But news reports give the impression that there has been a death parade, and people are running away from their homes.

“If there is an outbreak of a disease, it is our duty to take preventive measures. But one should not spread canards. Spreading rumours is a crime,” the CM added.

The Chief Minister also shared statistics on deaths due to dengue in various States in the last few months:

  • In Gujarat 430 people died due to swine flu
  • In Tamil Nadu 642 people died due to swine flu and 40 died due to dengue
  • In Maharashtra, 437 people died due to swine flu
  • In Kerala, 36 people have died due to dengue.
  • In Lucknow, 141 people and in Delhi, 21 people have died due to dengue.
  • In Bengal, 14 people have died due to dengue in recent times and during the last seven to eight months, 30 people in all have died due to dengue.

 

She also said that two people in Bidhannagar died due to dengue. However, she clarified that these incidents took place in areas where construction for the metro railway is going on, and where a lot of garbage had accumulated. The areas are under the control of Central Government and they are not allowing the local bodies to clean them.

The CM reiterated, “We organised this meeting today because even one death is something to take note of. Our duty is to ensure that people do not get scared, that they get access to proper treatment.”

 

 

ডেঙ্গু নিয়ে অপপ্রচার করে মানুষকে ভয় দেখাবেন নাঃ মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

আজ নবান্নে ডেঙ্গু ও অজানা জ্বরের মোকাবিলা করার জন্য একটি পর্যালোচনা বৈঠক করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। মানুষকে সতর্ক থাকার, নিজেদের যত্ন নেওয়ার পরামর্শ দেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। বৈঠকের পর সাংবাদিকদের মুখোমুখি হয়ে তিনি বলেন,অপপ্রচার করা হচ্ছে, মানুষকে ভয় দেখানো হচ্ছে।

তিনি আরও বলেন, “মিটিং করতে গিয়ে দেখলাম সংবাদমাধ্যমের একাংশ বলছে দেগঙ্গায় মৃত্যুর মিছিল শুরু হয়েছে। মানুষ নাকি ঘর ছেড়ে চলে যাচ্ছে। রোগ হলে তা প্রতিকার করা আমাদের দায়িত্ব কিন্তু অপপ্রচার করে মানুষকে ভয় দেখানো ঠিক নয়। গুজব ছড়াবেন না। এটা একটা অপরাধ।”

গত কয়েক মাসের পরিসংখ্যান দিয়ে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন:

  • গুজরাতে ৪৩০ জন সোয়াইন ফ্লু-তে মারা গেছে
  • তামিলনাড়ু তে ৬৪২ জন সোয়াইন ফ্লু তে ও ৪০ জন ডেঙ্গুতে মারা গেছে,
  • মহারাষ্ট্রে ৪৩৭ জন মারা গেছে সোয়াইন ফ্লু-তে
  • কেরালায় ৩৬ জন মারা গেছে ডেঙ্গুতে
  • লখনৌ তে ১৪১ জন মারা গেছেন ডেঙ্গুতে
  • দিল্লিতে ২১ জন মারা গেছেন ডেঙ্গুতে
  • বাংলায় সম্প্রতি ১৪ জন এবং গত ৭-৮ মাসে মোট ৩০ জন মারা গেছেন ডেঙ্গুতে

 

তিনি আরও বলেন, “বিধাননগরে ২ জন ডেঙ্গুতে মারা গেছেন কারণ ওখানে মেট্রোর কাজ হচ্ছে, ময়লা জমা হচ্ছে। ওই এলাকা কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের আওতায়, ওরা পরিষ্কার করতে দেয় না।”

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী আবারও বলেন, “একজনের মৃত্যুটাও খারাপ, তাই আমাদের এই পর্যালোচনা বৈঠক। মানুষ যাতে ভয় না পায়, সঠিক চিকিৎসা পায় সেদিকে নজর দেওয়াই আমাদের কর্তব্য।”
