Bengal is going solar this time to run generators that will pump water to a reservoir uphill in Purulia’s Ayodhya Hills during off peak hours, 10 years after the successful installation of Purulia Pumped Storage Project. The state power department will set up a 1,000MW solar-hydro power project when the existing project is a thermal-hydro mix.

The proposal was cleared in the state cabinet meeting on Monday. The purpose of this multifunction power plant is to pave the way for energy generation without fossil carriers — a first of its kind in the country — when Bengal has a lopsided 96:4 thermal-hydro ratio in power generation.

The objective is to use the afternoon sunlight to run turbines to lift stored water from a reservoir at a lower altitude in Ayodhya Hills to a reservoir on the upper side during off-peak hours that can help meeting the peak demand. Planned to be installed within 81 months from Monday, the second project is being funded by the Japan Bank of International Cooperation (JICA).

“This will be the first solar-driven pumped storage project in the country — clean and green. The project has been estimated at Rs 4650.79 crore. The state government will bear 15% of the project cost while the rest will come from JICA,” State Power Minister Shobhandeb Chattopadhyay said. The generated energy will be wheeled to the power grid to meet the peak demand.

 

পরিবেশ বান্ধব বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদনে জোর রাজ্য সরকারের

রাজ্যে এই প্রথম স্বচ্ছ ও সবুজ বিদ্যুৎ তৈরী হবে অযোধ্যা পাহাড়ে। পুরুলিয়ার অযোধ্যা পাহাড়ে পরিবেশ বান্ধব ১০০০ মেগাওয়াট উৎপাদন ক্ষমতা সম্পন্ন সৌর বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্র গড়ে উঠছে।

সোমবার মন্ত্রীসভার বৈঠকে এই অনুমোদন মিলেছে। ২৫০ মেগাওয়াট উৎপাদন ক্ষমতা সম্পন্ন ৪টি পাম্প বসানো হবে। এই প্রকল্পের মোট সময়সীমা ধরা হয়েছে ৮১ মাস। প্রকল্পের জন্য খরচ হবে ৮৬৫০.৬৯ কোটি টাকা।

এর আগে পুরুলিয়ায় ৯০০ মেগাওয়াট উৎপাদন ক্ষমতা সম্পন্ন বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্র তৈরী হয়েছে। তবে নতুন প্রকল্পটি সম্পূর্ণ আলাদা। এতদিন পুরুলিয়ায় অযোধ্যা পাহাড়ের টুর্গায় তাপবিদ্যুতের মাধ্যমে জলকে উঠিয়ে তা জলবিদ্যুতে নামানো হত। এবার সৌরবিদ্যুতের মাধ্যমে জল উঠিয়ে আপার ড্যামে জলবিদ্যুতের মাধ্যমে নামানোর পরিকল্পনা নিয়েছে সরকার।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের উদ্যোগে সৌরশক্তিকে ব্যবহার এই যুগান্তকারী পদক্ষেপ এই প্রথম।

একইসঙ্গে সাগরদিঘি প্রকল্পে আরও ৬৫০ মেগাওয়াট উৎপাদন হবে। মূলত ২০২২ সালের দিকে তাকিয়ে এই পরিকল্পনা নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার। এর ফলে ভবিষ্যতে বিদ্যুতের চাহিদা মিটবে।

Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) is setting up its first blood bank – to be located in south Kolkata, at 242 Kalighat Road.

Councillors of all wards of the corporation organise blood donation camps all through the year. Now these blood units would be stored at the new blood bank, the advantage being that the units would be available at the State Government-determined rates, which are lower at those at private hospitals and blood banks.

The chemical treatments required for proper storage of the blood and blood components would be carried out at private hospitals KMC would tie up with.

This step is meant to help not only the city residents but people from all over the State, especially the poor, who cannot afford high prices.

 

দক্ষিণ কলকাতায় প্রথম ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্ক তৈরী করবে কলকাতা পুরসভা

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নির্দেশে এই প্রথম ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্ক তৈরী করতে চলেছে কলকাতা পুরসভা । দক্ষিণ কলকাতার ২৪২,কালীঘাট রোডে ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্কটি তৈরী করা হবে।

এর আগে কলকাতা পুরসভার কোনও ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্ক ছিল না। সংগৃহীত রক্ত সংরক্ষণের জন্য যে সমস্ত প্রক্রিয়াকরণের প্রয়োজন হয় তার জন্য বেসরকারি হাসপাতালের সঙ্গে যৌথভাবে এই কাজ করা হবে।

কলকাতা পুরসভার সব ওয়ার্ডের কাউন্সিলররাই প্রতি বছর বিভিন্ন সময়ে ব্লাড ডোনেশান ক্যাম্প করে থাকেন। সেই সমস্ত সংগৃহিত রক্তই জমা করা হবে পুরসভার তৈরী করা ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্কে।

এর ফলে শহরের বেসরকারী ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্কগুলিতে যে অৰ্থের বিনিময়ে রক্ত দেওয়া হয় ,তার থেকে কম দামে ,অথাৎ সরকারি দামে এখান থেকে রক্ত দেওয়া হবে।

আলো ,রাস্তা ,নিকাশি এবং জল সরবরাহ পরিষেবার মতোই ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্ক পরিষেবাও কলকাতা পুরসভার একটি বাড়তি পরিষেবা। কলকাতা পুরসভার অন্তর্গত বাসিন্দারা এর ফলে যেমন উপকৃত হবেন ,তেমনই দূর -দূরান্ত থেকে আসা মানুষজনও এর দ্বারা উপকৃত হবেন।

কলকাতায় ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্কের চাহিদা রয়েছে। গরিব, মধ্যবিত্ত মানুষদের পরিষেবা দেওয়ার মতো স্বার্থের কথা ভেবেই এই প্রথম কলকাতা পুরসভা ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্ক তৈরী করার প্রয়াস নিয়েছে।

Today is Mother’s Day. The second Sunday of May is celebrated the world over as a tribute to the mother who selflessly devotes all her life to the well-being of her child.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has conveyed her greetings through social media to all mothers.

She has also written a poem titled ‘Maa’, dedicated to all mothers.

মাতৃ দিবসে সকল মায়েদের শুভেচ্ছা জানালেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

আজ আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃ দিবস। প্রতি বছর মে মাসের দ্বিতীয় রবিবার মাতৃ দিবস পালিত হয়।

মাতৃ দিবস উপলক্ষে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় সকল মায়েদের শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়েছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

এই উপলক্ষে তিনি একটি কবিতাও লিখেছেন। কবিতাটির নাম ‘মা’।

 

‘মা’

যতই দেখি ততই জানি
মা আমাদের আশ্বস্ত বাণী
অফুরন্ত মায়ের ভালোবাসা
আমাদের জোগাড় বাঁচার আশা।

মায়ের মুখ স্বর্গ সুখ,
ভুলিয়ে দেয় সকল দুখ,
মায়ের বদন মলিন হলে
সব হয়ে যায় গোলমেলে।

অসুস্থ হলে মায়ের হাত,
স্নেহভরা ভালোবাসার ছাপ
দুঃসময়ে মায়ের আঁচল,
আড়াল করে বিপদ সকল
‘মা’ যে মোদের ‘মা’,
মমত্বভরা হাসি নিয়েই অনুপ্রেরণা দাও মা।

Mother’s Wax Museum in New Town has instituted a Mother’s Day gift this year – free passes to mothers and their kids.

On Mother’s Day, celebrated all over the world on May 14, many children take their mothers out for treats. So, those kids who would visit Café Ekante at Eco Park, opposite the wax museum, with their mothers, would be given two free tickets for Mother’s Wax Museum.

HIDCO, the Bengal Government agency which looks after the museum as well as Eco Park, has instituted this gift.

মাতৃদিবসে মায়েদের জন্য মাদার্স ওয়াক্স মিউজিয়ামে ফ্রি পাস

আজ মাদার্স ডে-র উপলক্ষে মাদার্স ওয়াক্স মিউজিয়ামে নতুন এক পদ্ধতিতে পালন করার জন্য ব্যাবস্থা করেছে হিডকো। জানা গিয়েছে, এই দিনে মা এবং তার সন্তানকে একসঙ্গে করে মাদার টেরেজার মোমের মূর্তিতে মাল্যদান করা হবে। তাও যারা করবেন তাঁদের জন্য বিনামূল্যে প্রবেশ করার সুযোগ করে দিয়েছে হিডকো।

এই গরমের দিনে খাটি বাঙালি খাবারের জন্য নিউটাউনে হিডকো বছর খানেক আগেই তৈরি করেছিল ক্যাফে একান্তে নামক একটি রেস্তোরাঁ। যেখানে বছরের নানা সময়ের সঙ্গে তাল মিলিয়ে খাবার পাওয়া যায়। তাই ওই দিন যারা ক্যাফে একান্তে রেস্তোরাতে খেতে যাবেন তাদেরকে দুটি করে মাদার্স ওয়াক্স মিউজিয়ামের জন্য বিনামূল্যে পাস দেওয়া হবে।

প্রসঙ্গত মাদার্স ডে-র দিনে অনেক সন্তানই তাঁর মাকে একটা ভাল ট্রিট দিতে চায়। তাই ওই দিন এমনিতেই যে ক্যাফে একান্তে রেস্তোরাঁতে ভিড় বাড়বে তা আগে থেকেই জানে কর্তৃপক্ষ। সেই কারণে মাদার্স ডে-তে যাতে ‘মা’কে তার সন্তান আরও ভাল কিছু উপহার দিতে পারে তার জন্যই হিডকোর পক্ষ থেকে ওই ব্যাবস্থাপনা করা হয়েছে।

নিউটাউনকে যেভাবে সাজিয়ে তোলা হয়েছে তাতে যে কোনও আন্তর্জাতিক মানের ভ্রমণস্থলের সঙ্গে পাশাপাশি জায়গা পায় ওই নিউটাউন। সেখানে লন্ডনের মাদাম তুসোর আদলে তৈরি মাদার্স ওয়াক্স মিউজিয়াম বর্তমান দিনে যে কোনও মানুষের কাছেই একটা বড় পাওনা। তাই সেই জায়গাকে যারা এতদিন পর্যন্ত চোখের দেখা দেখে উঠতে পারেননি তাঁদের কাছে এবার একটা বড় সুযোগ গড়ে দিল হিডকো কর্তৃপক্ষ।

Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) plays a pivotal role in providing health and nutrition service to pregnant mothers, lactating mothers and children. During the last few years, the State Government has consistently increased the financial support to these workers and helpers.

Hon’ble Chief Minister has recently brought all the Anganwadi workers and helpers under the comprehensive health insurance ‘Swasthya Sathi’. Their monthly honourium has also been increased by Rs 500.

A total of 1377360 pregnant and lactating women have been provided supplementary nutrition (January, 2015). The state has introduced enhanced financial provision for ICDS SNP in all the districts from Nov’14 at the rate of Rs. 9, Rs. 7 and Rs. 6 for severely malnourished children, pregnant & lactating mothers and others respectively.

 

মা ও শিশুদের পুষ্টির জোগানে মমতার স্পর্শ বাংলায়

গর্ভবতী মা, প্রসূতি ও শিশুদের স্বাস্থ্য ও পুষ্টির ক্ষেত্রে ইন্টিগ্রেটেড চাইল্ড ডেভেলপমেন্ট স্কিম বা আইসিডিএসের ভুমিকা অপরিসীম।

এ রাজ্যে, জানুয়ারি ২০১৫ পর্যন্ত ১৩৭৭৩৬০ জন গর্ভবতী ও প্রসূতিদের পুষ্টিকর খাদ্য প্রদান করা হয়েছে। ২০১৪ সালের নভেম্বর মাস থেকে রাজ্য সরকার সব জেলায় বর্ধিত হারে অর্থনৈতিক সহায়তা করছে আইসিডিএস এসএনপি-তে।

গত ছ’বছরে রাজ্যসরকার এই প্রকল্পে নিযুক্ত কর্মী ও সহযোগীদের জন্য অর্থনৈতিক সহযোগিতা বাড়িয়ে চলেছে যাতে প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়নে ত্রুটি না থাকে।

কিছুদিন আগেই মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় অঙ্গনওয়াড়ি কর্মী ও সহযোগীদের স্বাস্থ্য সাথী প্রকল্পের আওতায় এনেছেন। তাঁদের মাসিক ভাতা বাড়ানো হয়েছে।

A mother is the first, foremost and best friend of everyone’s life as no one can be true and real like her.

Trinamool’s slogan in 2011 was Maa, Mati, Manush. Mothers have always been a pillar of support, and a source of strength for us.

Inspired by Mamata Banerjee, the Bengal Government has taken several steps in the last six years for the welfare of mothers.

Due to sustained effort of the State Government in improving the health infrastructure through its various programmes, noticeable improvements have been observed in health parameters of the State.

Here are some of the welfare measures for mothers by Trinamool Government:

  • The State Government has initiated a process of setting up of 13 Mother and Child Hubs (MCH).
  • Three new Waiting Huts have been set up for pregnant mothers in remote areas of Sunderbans.
  • 35 Nutritional Rehabilitation Centres (NRCs) have been operationalized for management of severely malnourished children with counselling of their mothers.
  • Eastern India’s first Human Milk Bank – ‘Madhur Sneha’ – and Cord Blood Bank have been set up at SSKM Hospital.
  • During the last five years, Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) has been reduced from 32 to 26 and Institutional Delivery in health centres and hospitals has increased from 65% to 90%.

 

মাতৃকল্যাণে নানা উদ্যোগ মা, মাটি, মানুষের সরকারের

সবার জীবনেই মায়ের গুরুত্ব অপরিসীম। মা হল আমাদের সবথেকে প্রিয় বন্ধু, কেউ তার জায়গা নিতে পারে না। ২০১১ সালের নির্বাচনে তৃণমূলের স্লোগান ছিল ‘মা মাটি মানুষ’ – মা, মাদার, আম্মা আমাদের প্রেরণা।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের অনুপ্রেরণায় গত ৬ বছরে রাজ্য সরকার মাতৃকল্যাণের জন্য নিয়েছে অনেক পদক্ষেপ। তারই ফলস্বরূপ অভূতপূর্ব পরিবর্তন এসেছে রাজ্যে।

রাজ্য সরকারের নেওয়া কিছু উদ্যোগ:

  • ১৩ টি মাদার এন্ড চাইল্ড হাব তৈরী করছে রাজ্য
  • সুন্দরবনের প্রত্যন্ত অঞ্চলে গর্ভবতী মায়েদের জন্যও তৈরি হয়েছে তিনটি ওয়েটিং হাব
  • অপুষ্টিতে আক্রান্ত শিশুদের জন্য ৩৫টি নিউট্রিশ্যানাল রিহ্যাবিলিটেশন সেন্টার তৈরী করছে রাজ্য
  • এসএসকেএম হাসপাতালে নির্মিত হয়েছে পূর্ব ভারতের প্রথম মাতৃদুগ্ধ ব্যাঙ্ক “মধুর স্নেহ” ও কর্ড ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্ক
  • গত পাঁচ বছরে রাজ্যে শিশু মৃত্যুর ৩২ থেকে হার কমে হয়েছে ২৬, হেলথ সেন্টার ও হসপিটালে ইন্সটিট্যুশানাল ডেলিভারি ৬৫% বেড়ে হয়েছে থেকে ৯০%

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday instructed the police force to take immediate steps to maintain law and order, and prevent riots.

The chief minister presided over the administrative review meeting in Howrah on Friday afternoon. She asked the police to be on alert and take immediate action if anybody tries to foment communal trouble.

“The police should always remain alert and keep an eye on each and every incident. Don’t ignore any information and cross check its veracity. Use civic police, green police and local clubs to gather ground-level information. Some people from outside are trying to foment communal discord,” she said.

She asked the police to be on the road and play an effective role to maintain law and order. “Lot of false propaganda is being carried out that nothing has been done in Dhulagarh. It is absolutely false. Why don’t they tell the facts about how many people were arrested? How many people were given compensation by the government?” she said.

“A TV channel had shown a one-sided report about Dhulagarh. It did not say any word on action taken by the government, she said. The fact is that the state government is reconstructing the houses and shops affected in Dhulagarh violence in addition to payment of compensation of Rs 2.5 crore,” the CM said.

 

দাঙ্গা রুখতে পুলিসকে আরও তৎপর হওয়ার বার্তা দিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

হাওড়ায় প্রশাসনিক বৈঠকে সাঁকরাইলের ধূলাগড়ের অশান্তির কথা উত্থাপন করে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী সাফ জানিয়ে দিয়ে গেলেন, বাংলায় তিনি কোনও দাঙ্গা, অশান্তি আর উচ্ছৃঙ্খলতা বরদাস্ত করবেন না।

তিনি বলেন, “দিল্লির একটা চ্যানেল ধুলাগড়ের ঘটনা নিয়ে যা ইচ্ছে তাই করে গেছে। সরকারের কাজগুলোর কথা তো লেখেনি। ধুলাগড়ে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত বাড়ি/দোকান গুলি পুনর্নির্মাণ করে দিচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকার। ২.৫ কোটি টাকা ক্ষতিপূরণ দেওয়া হয়েছে।”

তিনি পুলিশকে নির্দেশ দেন, অশান্তিতে যারা উসকানি দেবে, তাদের চিহ্নিত করে কঠোর ব্যবস্থা নিতে হবে। এ ব্যাপারে হাওড়া সিটি পুলিশ কমিশনারের কাছ থেকে গ্রামীণ জেলার পুলিশ সুপার সুমিত কুমারকে সাহায্য ও পরামর্শ নিতে বলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

তিনি তাঁদের বলেন, মানুষের সঙ্গে যোগসূত্র বাড়ান, ক্লাব, ভালো মানুষের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ রাখুন। এলাকায় বড় কোনও অনুষ্ঠান থাকলে আগাম ব্যবস্থা নিন। পুলিশ দেখলে গুন্ডারা যাতে ভয় পায়, সেটা করুন। কেউ দাঙ্গা বাধাতে চাইলে সে যে দলেরই হোক, তার বিরুদ্ধে সঙ্গে সঙ্গে ব্যবস্থা নিন।তিনি পুলিশকে বলেন, ঝুঁকি নিতে হবে।

In August, when the Kanyashree Dibas (Kanyashree Day) celebrations for this year would be taking place (Kanyashree Dibas falls on August 14), Bengal Chief Minister is going to hand over awards to successful Kanyashrees, that is, Kanyashree beneficiaries – to those who have achieved success in their studies as well as below-18 beneficiaries who have stood on their feet by learning some skill.

The Kanyashree Scheme of the Bengal Government has been an unqualified success. Begun in October 2014 on the personal initiative of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, it has achieved to a large extent its main aims – encourage and enable education of girl children, prevent child marriage and trafficking of women through the awareness generated by education, and through the financial support for their education, enable girl children, especially those from poor families, to achieve self-sufficiency, self-awareness and self-confidence.

Kanyashree has encouraged girl children to stand up against their being married off against their will, to the extent of even having their parents arrested in some extreme cases. These social and educational successes have brought Kanyashree Scheme international fame too: the United Nations has earmarked the scheme as an international role model.

As per the scheme, girl children from the ages of 13 to 18 get Rs 750 per month to enable them to continue with their studies. Moreover, after crossing 18 and before reaching 19, Rs 25,000 is deposited into the accounts of girl children, to be used for further studies or as expenses towards their marriage. However, there is a rider: if the girl is married off before 18 years of age, the Rs 25,000 is not given. Thus this encourages the beneficiaries to continue their studies and marry at the right time.

The scheme is on course to achieve a new high-water mark soon – 40 lakh beneficiaries. With 39,22,650 enrolments, that’s now a given. This target, to be achieved within three years, was set at the outset of the scheme by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Along with almost 40 lakh beneficiaries, there are 90 lakh applicants too.

 

 

সফল ‘কনাশ্রী’ দের পুরস্কৃত করবে রাজ্য সরকার

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের স্বপ্নের প্রকল্প কন্যাশ্রী’র সেরা কন্যাদের সংবর্ধনা দেবে রাজ্য সরকার। আগামী ১১ আগস্ট শহিদ ক্ষুদিরাম বসুর জন্মদিনে নেতাজি ইনডোর স্টেডিয়ামে ভালো কাজের ভিত্তিতে ওই সংবর্ধনা দেওয়া হবে।ভালো কাজের জন্য সেরা কন্যাদের সম্মানিত করে উৎসাহিত করতে চান মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। এ পর্যন্ত ৩৯ লক্ষ ২২ হাজার ৬৫০ জনের নাম কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পে নথিভুক্ত হয়েছে।

২০১৩-১৪ সালে কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প চালু করেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। লক্ষ্য ছিল, বাল্যবিবাহ বন্ধ করে মেয়েদের পড়াশুনো চালিয়ে যাওয়ায় উৎসাহ দেওয়া – তাই মেয়েদের জন্য স্কলারশিপ চালু করেন। কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প চালু হওয়ার পর বাল্যবিবাহ রোধে রাজ্যে অনেকটাই সাফল্য মিলেছে। তবে পরিকল্পনা নেওয়া হচ্ছে, কিশোরী বা যুবতীদের শুধুমাত্র আর্থিক স্কলারশিপই নয়, প্রশিক্ষণও দেওয়া হবে। এ ব্যাপারে কারিগরি দপ্তরের সঙ্গেও কথাবার্তা চলছে।

কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প ইতিমধ্যেই শুধু কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের তরফেই নয়, বিদেশ থেকেও সমাদৃত হয়েছে। ইউনেস্কো’র তরফে পুরস্কৃত করা হয়েছে। কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারও পশ্চিমবঙ্গের এই প্রকল্পকে অনুসরণ করে ‘বেটি বাঁচাও, বেটি পড়াও’ প্রকল্প চালু করেছে।

কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের অম্তর্গত পড়ুয়াদের মধ্যে যারা অষ্টম শ্রেণি থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণিতে পড়ছেন তাদের বার্ষিক ৭৫০ টাকা করে দেওয়া হয় আর বয়স ১৮ বছর বয়সের পর এককালীন ২৫ হাজার টাকা আর্থিক সহায়তা দেওয়া হয়।

May 13 is one of the most important dates in the electoral history of Trinamool Congress. For on this date in 2011, Mamata Banerjee led the party in breaking down the 34-year-old Left citadel and coming to power; again in 2016, on this date, the party returned to power for a second consecutive term, again with a thumping majority.

The mandate of Ma, Mati, Manush has prevailed.

Six years of running a cash-strapped Government is an inhuman job. However, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has proved more than equal to the task.

Despite a lion’s share of the State’s revenues being taken away by the Centre to service the debt incurred by the Left Front, Mamata Banerjee has carried out development in every sector in the State. Unthinkable, yet true.

What has the Government achieved in these six years? Democracy, peace and progress. Mamata Banerjee has given confidence to the people. There is hope in the air that Bengal can be the best; and it slowly but surely inching its way to the top. From fair price medicine shops to the Kanyashree Scheme, from setting records in the 100 Days’ Work Scheme to massive developments in the Jangalmahal region, Bengal is a national model now.

Six years ago, Bengal had little to boast about. Now it can boast of Brand Bengal, or Biswa Bangla. Trinamool Congress raised the slogan ‘bodla noy, bodol chai‘ (we want change, not revenge) and has lived up to the principle during the last six years.

পরিবর্তনের ৬ বছর – বাংলা হবে বিশ্ব সেরা

১৩ই মে বাংলার মানুষের কাছে এক ঐতিহাসিক দিন। ২০১১ সালে এই দিনেই বাংলার রায়ে ৩৪ বছরের বাম শাসনের অবসান ঘটে। ২০১৬ সালে আবারও বিপুল সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠতা নিয়ে ক্ষমতায় ফেরেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

ছ’বছর ধরে বিপুল দেনার বোঝা বহন করেও যে উন্নয়ন সম্ভব সেটা করে দেখিয়েছেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। প্রত্যেক বছর এক বিপুল পরিমান অর্থ রাজ্যের কোষাগার থেকে কেটে নিয়ে যাচ্ছে কেন্দ্র, বামেদের ঋণ শোধ করতে। তার ওপর আবার রাজনৈতিক প্রতিহিংসার ফলে রাজ্যের বরাদ্দ অর্থ ঠিকমত পাঠায় না কেন্দ্র। তবুও একনিষ্ঠ ভাবে মা, মাটি, মানুষের সরকার কাজ করে চলেছে।

বাংলায় গণতন্ত্র স্থাপন হয়েছে। শান্তি ফিরেছে জঙ্গলমহলে। পাহাড়েও উন্নয়নের হাওয়া। একশো দিনের কাজ থেকে শুরু করে কন্যাশ্রী, ন্যায্য মূল্যের ওষুধের দোকান থেকে শুরু করে নির্মল বাংলা অভিযান – সবেতেই এগিয়ে বাংলা।

বাংলা এখন সারা বিশ্বের কাছে মডেল। মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় স্বপ্ন দেখেছেন বিশ্ব বাংলা গড়ার। ‘বদলা নয় বদল চাই’ এর স্লোগান দিয়ে যে যাত্রা শুরু এখন তা বাংলাকে বিশ্ব সেরা করার অঙ্গীকার।

Healthcare is one of the major factors that determine the progress of a State and its people. From the time Trinamool Congress came to power, the state of healthcare in Bengal has progressed by leaps and bounds. The best matrix to judge this would be to look at some of the targets set by the National Health Policy 2017 for the country and comparing it to West Bengal.

The Central Government target for Life Expectancy at Birth is to achieve 70 by the year 2025. The Life Expectancy at Birth in Bengal in 2014 was 70.2.

The total Fertility Rate the Central Government hopes to attain by 2025 is 2.1, whereas in Bengal it was 1.6 as early as 2013. The lower the Total Fertility Rate, the better it is.

It is the same if we look at Infant Mortality Rate, where the Centre hopes to reduce the rate to 28 by 2019. In Bengal we had already lowered it to 26 in 2016.

In the last six years, Institutional Delivery in health centres and hospitals has increased from 65% to 90%.

The State Government has also taken the path-breaking decision of withdrawing all user charges from all Government hospitals, including medical college hospitals. These user charges include those of drugs, surgical implants and usage of costly devices.

Under Mamata Banerjee, the Health Department has been one of the best-performing departments over the last five years in West Bengal. People all over the State are very happy with the overall developments in Healthcare.

 

স্বাস্থ্যে মমতার ছোঁয়া মা-মাটি-মানুষ সরকারের

মমতা বন্দোপাধ্যায়-এর নেতৃত্বে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তর বিগত পাঁচ বছরে ব্যাপক সাফল্য অর্জন করেছে। নায্যমূল্যের ওষুধের দোকান, নায্যমূল্যের ডায়াগনস্টিক কেন্দ্র এবং মাল্টি -সুপার স্পেশালিটি হাসপাতাল স্বাস্থ্য ক্ষেত্রে অসাধারণ পরিবর্তন এনেছে। আর তার সবচেয়ে বড় উদাহরণ হল জাতীয় স্বাস্থ্য নীতি, ২০১৭-র রিপোর্ট।

২০২৫ সালের মধ্যে ভারতবর্ষের টার্গেট – ৭০
২০১৪ পশ্চিমবঙ্গ – ৭০.২

Total Fertility rate:

২০২৫ সালের মধ্যে ভারতবর্ষের টার্গেট ২.১ শতাংশ। ২০১৩ সালে রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী পশ্চিমবঙ্গে এই হার ১.৬ শতাংশ।

শিশু মৃত্যুর হারঃ

২০২৫ সালের মধ্যে ভারতবর্ষের টার্গেট ২৮। ২০১৬ সালে রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী পশ্চিমবঙ্গে শিশু মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা কমে হয়েছে ২৬।

ইন্সটিটিউশন ডেলিভারিঃ

বিভিন্ন স্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্র ও হাসপাতালে ইন্সটিটিউশন ডেলিভারির হার ৬৫ শতাংশ(২০১১) থেকে বৃদ্ধি পেয়ে ৯০ হয়েছে।

 

বর্তমানে রাজ্যের সব সরকারী হাসপাতালে বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা পাওয়া যায়। এর পাশাপাশি, রাজ্যে সরকারী হাসপাতালগুলিতে ভর্তি সকল রোগীদের বিনমূল্যে ওষুধপত্র ও অনান্য সুযোগ সুবিধেও দেওয়া হচ্ছে। সরকারী হাসপাতালের শয্যা সংখ্যা বেড়ে হয়েছে ২৭,০০০। সব মিলিয়ে সার্বিক উন্নয়নে রাজ্যের সমস্ত মানুষ খুব খুশি।
