Skill development centres for rural youths opened in Purulia

The State Government has recently opened 52 skill development training centres for rural youths in the district of Purulia.
They were inaugurated by the Technical Education, Training and Skill Development (TET&SD) Minister. The centres will be run under Paschim Banga Society for Skill Development, which is an initiative by the TET&SD Department for the Utkarsh Bangla Scheme.
The training will be provided by a private company, under the authority of the TET&SD Department. Training will be imparted on computer literacy, agriculture and beauty treatment. On completion of their course, the trainees will be given certificates. There will be arrangements for their placement too.
The training to the rural unemployed youths will be given free of cost. Additionally, Rs 50 will be given to them for refreshment.
