Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several schemes and projects at Nadia district.

The CM also launched the construction work of 12,000 km of roads across the State from the stage. By 2019, 35,000 rural roads would be constructed in the State.

Some of the projects inaugurated by the CM today include blood component separation units, blood banks, power sub-stations, bridges, youth hostels, schools etc. She laid the foundation stones for power sub-stations, water supply projects, biogas plant, fisheries project, jetties among others.

The Chief Minister also distributed benefits under schemes like Kanyashree, Sabuj Sathi, Anandadhara, Gatidhara, and gave away land pattas, Kisan Credit Cards and other benefits.

 

Highlights of her speech:

  • Nadia district was neglected during the 34 years of Left Front rule. Now there is a tide of development.
  • Khajna tax on agricultural land has been abolished in Bengal. We have given compensation worth Rs 1200 crore for crops destroyed in floods
  • We have created a fund of Rs 100 crore so that farmers do not have to resort to distress selling.
  • Old age pension of farmers has been hiked to Rs 1000. Additional 34,000 farmers will receive the pension.
  • We have set up a Muslin Tirtha in Nadia district.
  • Tourism push in Nadia – Nabadwip heritage city and Mayapur World Heritage Centre.
  • 90% people of the State receive direct benefits from the State.
  • Construction of 12,000 km of roads have been flagged off today.
  • Our government never takes any decision which is against the interests of the people.
  • Our students are our pride.
  • We have increased the amount of Kanyashree scholarship to Rs 1000. University students have also been brought under the scheme.
  • We have started a merit scholarship for students to pursue higher education.
  • We have distributed 70,000 cycles to students of classes IX-XII.
  • We have started a new scheme ‘Ruposhree’ to help families, with annual income less than 1.5 lakh, in marrying their daughters off.
  • The Centre loves to beat their own drums. They have a scheme ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’. Budget for the entire country is Rs 100 crore. In Bengal, we have spent Rs 5000 crore for Kanyashree.
  • The government is planning to bring FRDI Bill. Your savings will no longer be safe in banks. This will give rise to chit funds. Where will the poor people go? What will farmers, labourers, workers do?
  • In the name of demonetisation they have destroyed the economy. Small traders are suffering because of GST.
  • 12,000 farmers have committed suicide all over the country; mostly in BJP-ruled States.
    They are talking about doubling farmers’ income. How will they do it?
  • They announced a health insurance scheme without allocating money. Now they are saying States have to pay 40% cost. How can they force the States?
  • Bengal is a model in healthcare. Treatment is free at hospitals. Our Swasthya Sathi scheme covers 50 lakh people.
  • We have social security schemes for the unorganised sector.
  • We give rice and wheat at Rs 2/kg.
  • The Left Front Govt left behind a huge debt burden and the Centre takes away most of our revenue to pay off the instalments.
  • From birth to death, we have schemes for all phases of life.
  • We have reduced the interest rate on loans for self-help groups. We provide 30% subsidy on the loans.
  • স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠীগুলি যাতে ঋণ নিতে পারেন তাই আমরা সুদের হার কমিয়ে দিয়েছি
  • The Centre has stopped funds for ICDS and ASHA workers. But now we are running these projects with our own funds.
  • We have provided scholarships to more than 1.7 crore minority students. 57 lakh SC/ST students have received scholarships.
  • We will hand over land pattas to refugees very soon.
  • Some parties incite Hindu-Muslim tension, stoke communal fire to put hurdles in the path of development.
  • Do not pay heed to the BJP. We have to maintain communal harmony. I appeal to everyone to ensure peace.
  • Hinduism brings everyone together. The religion is centuries old. BJP, which was formed in the 1980s, stands an aberration in the name of Hinduism.
  • Our youths and students must strive to make Bengal the best in the world.

 

 

বাংলাকে দেখে শেখা উচিত কেন্দ্রের: মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

আজ নদীয়া জেলার পরিষেবা প্রদান অনুষ্ঠানের মঞ্চ থেকে একগুচ্ছ প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। তিনি বিভিন্ন প্রকল্পের শিলান্যাসও করেন।

আজ নদীয়া জেলা থেকে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ১২০০০ কিঃমিঃ নতুন গ্রামীণ সড়ক নির্মাণের কাজ উদ্বোধন করেন। রাজ্য সরকারের পরিকল্পনা অনুযায়ী ২০১৯ সালের মধ্যে ৩৫০০০ গ্রামীণ সড়ক নির্মাণ সম্পূর্ণ হবে।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী যে সকল প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করেন, তার কয়েকটি হল, ব্লাড কম্পোনেন্ট সেপারেশন ইউনিট, ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্ক, ডিজিটাল এক্সরে মেশিন, চক্ষু অপারেশনের জন্য বায়মেট্রিক মেশিন, ৩৩/১১ কে ভি সাব স্টেশন, চুর্নি নদীর ওপর সেতু, যুব আবাস, বিদ্যালয় ভবন, উচ্চ বাতিস্তম্ভ স্থাপন ইত্যাদি।

তিনি যে সকল প্রকল্পের শিলান্যাস করেন, তার কয়েকটি হল, ১৩২/৩৩ কে ভি সাব স্টেশন, ১০টি কর্মতীর্থ, ভাগীরথী নদীর জল পরিশ্রুতকরণ কেন্দ্র, ভাগীরথী নদীর তীরে পাড় বাঁধানো, মৎস্য প্রকল্প, ১৭টি বায়োগ্যাস প্ল্যান্ট, ২১০২ টি তাঁতঘর, বন্যাত্রান শিবির, স্থায়ী জেটি ইত্যাদি।

এছাড়াও তিনি কন্যাশ্রী, সবুজসাথী, গতিধারা, পাট্টা, কিষাণ ক্রেডিট কার্ড ইত্যাদি পরিষেবা প্রদান করেন।

 

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশ:

  • সিপিএমের আমলে নদিয়া জেলা অনেক অবহেলিত হয়েছে। এখন সেখানে উন্নয়নের জোয়ার।
  • বাংলায় কৃষকদের সব ঋণ মুকুব করে দেওয়া হয়েছে। বন্যায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত কৃষকদের ১২০০ কোটি টাকা ক্ষতিপূরণ দিয়েছে সরকার।
  • কৃষকদের যাতে অভাবী ফসল বিক্রি করতে না হয় তার সহায়ক মূল্য হিসেবে একটি তহবিল তৈরি করা হয়েছে। এর জন্য বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে ১০০ কোটি টাকা।
  • কৃষকদের পেনশন ৭৫০ টাকা বারিয়ে ১০০০ টাকা করা হয়েছে। আরও প্রায় ৩৪ হাজার কৃষক এই সুবিধার আওতায় নিয়ে আসা হবে।
  • নদিয়া জেলায় মসলিন তীর্থ তৈরী করা হয়েছে।
  • আগামী দিন নবদ্বীপ হেরিটেজ সহ মায়াপুর ওয়ার্ল্ড হেরিটেজ হিসেবে গড়ে তোলা হবে। এর ফলে নদিয়া জেলার পর্যটন অনেক উন্নত হবে।
  • রাজ্যের সব জেলায় প্রায় ৯০ শতাংশ মানুষের কাছে সরকারী পরিষেবা পৌঁছে দেওয়া হয়েছে।
  • ১২,০০০ কিলোমিটার রাস্তা নির্মাণ করা হবে। আজ শুভ সূচনা হল।
  • আমাদের সরকার মা মাটি মানুষের সরকার। এই সরকার জনগণের বিরুদ্ধে কোন কাজ করে না। মা মাটি মানুষের সরকারের কথার দাম খুব বেশি।
  • আমাদের ছাত্র সমাজ আমাদের গর্ব।
  • কন্যাশ্রী স্কলারশিপের টাকা ৭৫০ টাকা থেকে বারিয়ে ১০০০ টাকা করা হয়েছে। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্রীদেরও এই স্কলারশিপের আওতায় আনা হয়েছে।
  • ছাত্রছাত্রীদের উচ্চ শিক্ষার জন্য আমরা মেরিট স্কলারশিপ চালু করা হয়েছে।
  • নবম থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণির ছাত্রছাত্রীদের বিনামূল্যে প্রায় ৭০ লক্ষ সবুজ সাথী সাইকেল দেওয়া হয়েছে।
  • নতুন প্রকল্প ‘রূপশ্রী’ চালু করা হয়েছে। বার্ষিক ইনকাম ১.৫ লক্ষ টাকা হলে সেই পরিবারের মেয়েদের ১৮ বছর বয়সের পর বিবাহের জন্য ২৫০০০ টাকা আর্থিক সহায়তা দেবে সরকার।
  • দিল্লির সরকার মুখে বড় বড় কথা বলে। ওদের একটি প্রোগ্রাম আছে ‘বেটি বাঁচাও বেটি পড়াও’, তার বাজেট মাত্র ১০০ কোটি টাকা আর বাংলার কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পে আমরা ৫০০০ কোটি টাকা খরচ করেছি।
  • কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার FRDI বিল আনার পরিকল্পনা করছে। এর ফলে জনগণের টাকা ব্যাঙ্কের দরকার মতো ব্যাঙ্ক নিয়ে নেবে জনগণকে জিজ্ঞেস না করেই। মানে সাধারণ মানুষ ব্যাঙ্কে টাকা রেখে নিশ্চিন্ত হতে পারবে না। গরীব মানুষ, কৃষক, শ্রমিক কোথায় রাখবে? এটা কালা কানুন। আমরা এর বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদ করেছি। দরকার হলে আমরা বৃহত্তর আন্দোলনে যাব।
  • নোটবন্দীর নামে মানুষের লক্ষ্মীর ভাঁড়গুলো কেড়ে নিয়েছ, জিএসটির জন্য একটা দোকান চলছে না ভালো করে।
  • ১২০০০ কৃষক সারা দেশে আত্মহত্যা করেছে, তাঁর মধ্যে সবচেয়ে বেশী যেখানে বিজেপির শাসন আছে। এখন বলছে কৃষকদের আয় বাড়াবো, কোথা থেকে বাড়াবে?
  • কেন্দ্র মিথ্যে কথা বলে দিল, আমরা হেলথ স্কিম করব, কোথা থেকে করবে? টাকা কোথায়? এখন বলছে রাজ্যকে ৪০ ভাগ দিতে হবে, কেন রাজ্য দেবে? রাজ্যের ক্ষমতা থাকলে, নিজে করবে।
  • বিনা পয়াসায় চিকিৎসা দিই আমরা। বিনা পয়সায় হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসা দিই আমরা। স্বাস্থ্য সাথী প্রকল্পে আমাদের ৫০ লক্ষ লোক আছে।
  • অসংগঠিত ক্ষেত্রের শ্রমিকদের জন্য আমাদের প্রকল্প আছে।
  • ২ টাকা কিলো চাল, গম আমরাই একমাত্র দিই।
  • সিপিএমের দেনা করে গেছে আর বিজেপির সরকার আমাদের থেকে কেটে ৪৮০০০ কোটি টাকা নিয়ে যায়।
  • জন্ম থেকে মৃত্যু পর্যন্ত, শিশুসাথী থেকে সমব্যাথী, প্রকল্প আছে আমাদের।
  • স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠীগুলি যাতে ঋণ নিতে পারেন তাই আমরা সুদের হার কমিয়ে ২% করে দিয়েছি, ৩০% সাবসিডি দিই আমরা।
  • কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার আইসিডিএস, আশা প্রোজেক্ট বন্ধ করে দিয়েছে, এখন আমরা নিজেরা টাকা দিয়ে এই প্রোজেক্ট চালু রেখেছি।
  • ১.৭১ কোটি সংখ্যালঘু, তফসিলি ও আদিবাসীদের ৫৭ লক্ষ ছেলেমেয়েরা স্কলারশিপ পেয়েছে।
  • যারা এন্টাইটেল্ড রিফিউজি তাদের পাট্টা দেওয়া হচ্ছে, ১৩ হাজার রেডি আছে পাট্টা।
  • যারা কাজ করে না, ধর্ম নিয়ে রাজনীতি করে, শুধু হিন্দু মুসলমান লাগিয়ে দেয়, গাড়ি জ্বালিয়ে দেয়, তাদের সমর্থন করি না।
  • সাম্প্রদায়িক দাঙ্গায় কেউ যাবেন না, বিজেপির কথা শুনে কেউ ঘর ভাঙবেন না, ওদের মতো সর্বনাশা দল কম আছে।
  • আমরা হিন্দুধর্মের লোক, আমরা হিন্দুকেও ভালবাসি, মুসলমানকেও ভালবাসি। বিজেপি একটা রাজনৈতিক দল, ১৯৮৪ সালে জন্ম, ওরা আমায় জ্ঞান দেবেন, আজ নতুন করে ওরা আমাদের হিন্দুধর্ম শেখাবে? ওরা হিন্দুধর্মকে অপমান করে।
  • ছাত্র যৌবন স্বপ্ন দেখুন এই বাংলাকে বিশ্বসেরা করে তোলার।

Haringhata Meat, a unit of the State Animal Resources Development Department, has decided to rear chickens for selling the meat. Earlier, only eggs used to be sold.

With this increased supply of meat, the government is confident that the price of chicken would come down to be within the reach of most people in the state.

Varieties of chicken having tasty meat are being reared at a farm in Jalpaiguri spread over 22 acres. It is an air-conditioned (AC) farm having some of the latest technologies, built at a cost of Rs 12 crore.

West Bengal Livestock Development Corporation Limited is behind the maintenance, selling and marketing of this meat, to be sold under the brand name of Haringhata Meat.

Cobb-400 chicken has been bought to prepare the broiler meat. They are costly as well as their maintenance. At the AC farm in Jalpaiguri, there is space for 30,000 chickens to be reared. Government sources say that the facility can produce up to 50 lakh hatchlings per year. Availability of so much chicken would naturally lower the prices all over the state.

 

এসি ঘরে মুরগি চাষ করবে হরিণঘাটা মিট

বর্তমানে মুরগি চাষের জন্য রাজ্য সরকারের হাতে ২৭টি ফার্ম আছে। প্রাণিসম্পদ উন্নয়ন দপ্তরের আওতায় সেসব মুরগি চাষ হয় রাজ্যের নানা প্রান্তে। কিন্তু সেই মুরগিগুলি পালন করা হয় শুধু ডিম দেওয়ার জন্য। তাদের মাংস বেচে তেমন আয় হয় না সরকারের।

তাই মাংস উৎপাদনে এবার বিশেষ উদ্যোগ নিচ্ছে সরকারি সংস্থা হরিণঘাটা মিট। সুস্বাদু মাংস পাওয়া যাবে, এমন মুরগির চাষ করতে জলপাইগুড়িতে ২২ একর জমি নেওয়া হয়েছে। শীতাতপ নিয়ন্ত্রিত ঘরে ১২ কোটি টাকা খরচে মুরগি চাষ করবে হরিণঘাটা মিট। এই উদ্যোগে বাজারে মুরগির দাম কমবে বলে দাবি তাদের।

যে মুরগি মূলত মাংসের জন্য চাষ হয়, তাকে বলা হয় ব্রয়লার চিকেন। এখনও কোনও সরকারি পরিকাঠামো নেই, যেখানে ব্রয়লার চিকেন পাওয়া যেতে পারে। সেই উদ্যোগটিই এবার নিচ্ছে হরিণঘাটা মিট।

ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল লাইভ স্টক ডেভেলপমেন্ট কর্পোরেশনের ম্যানেজিং ডিরেক্টর বলেন, জলপাইগুড়ির জেটিয়াখালিতে ২২ একর জায়গা নেওয়া হয়েছে। ‘কব ৪০০’ প্রজাতির মুরগি কেনা হয়েছে মহারাষ্ট্রের পুনে থেকে। তা যেমন দামি, তার লালনপালনও কঠিন কাজ। ৩০ হাজার মুরগি চাষ করার জন্য বিশেষ ঘর তৈরি হবে। সেখানে শুধু তাপমাত্রা নিয়ন্ত্রিত হবে না, এর পাশাপাশি ঘরে বাতাসের জলীয় বাষ্প এবং বাতাসের অভিমুখও নিয়ন্ত্রণ করা হবে। এই প্রথম সরকারি উদ্যোগে সেখানে কৃত্রিম প্রজনন হবে মুরগির। প্রজননের পর ডিমগুলি নিয়ে হ্যাচারিতে বাচ্চা ফোটানো হবে। সেগুলি ব্যবহার করা হবে ব্রয়লার চিকেন উৎপাদনের জন্য।

The Bengal Government is to open ten more blood banks in the state in 2018. With these, the total number in the state will increase to 84.

Not just that, with the increasing demand for blood components, the government is setting up blood component separation units (BCSU) in 21 existing blood banks. The work for these would be over before the panchayat elections. With these 21, the number of BCSUs would increase to 38.

The above information came from a senior official of the State Health Department.

The new blood banks would be located in Birpara, Tehatta, Dinhata, Nandigram, Metiabruz, Salboni, Debra, Mathabhanga, Falakata and Sagardighi. The new BCSU would be set up in the blood banks located in Chinsurah, Howrah, Bishnupur, Purulia, Darjeeling, Siliguri, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Raiganj, Balurghat, Barasat, Basirhat, Diamond Harbour, Siuri, Rampurhat, Jhargram and Tamluk.

 

রাজ্য সরকারের উদ্যোগে আরও ১০টি নতুন ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্ক, ২১ কম্পোনেন্ট ইউনিট

ঘটনা-দুর্ঘটনা, বিপদ-আপদ হোক বা জটিল অসুখ-বিসুখ— কারণ যাই হোক না কেন, রাজ্যজুড়ে রক্তের ঘাটতি মেটাতে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের উদ্যোগে চালু হতে চলেছে আরও নতুন ১০টি ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্ক। ২০১৮ সালের মধ্যে এগুলি চালু করার লক্ষ্যমাত্রা নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার। ফলে রাজ্যে সরকারি ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্কের সংখ্যা শীঘ্রই বেড়ে হবে ৮৪।

এছাড়া ২১টি ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্ককে প্লাজমা, প্লেটলেট, প্যাকড সেল সহ রক্তের বিভিন্ন ধরনের উপাদান পৃথকীকরণ ইউনিটে (ব্লাড কম্পোনেন্ট সেপারেশন ইউনিট) উন্নীত করার পরিকল্পনা নিয়েছে স্বাস্থ্যভবন। তাতে এ ধরনের ইউনিটের সংখ্যা বেড়ে হবে ৩৮।

প্রস্তাবিত নতুন ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্কগুলি হবে বীরপাড়া, তেহট্ট, দিনহাটা, নন্দীগ্রাম, মেটিয়াবুরুজ, শালবনী, ডেবরা, মাথাভাঙা, ফালাকাটা এবং সাগরদিঘিতে। আর যেসব ব্লাড ব্যাঙ্ককে রক্তের উপাদান পৃথকীকরণ ইউনিটে পরিণত করা হবে, সেগুলি হল চুঁচুড়া, হাওড়া, বিষ্ণুপুর, পুরুলিয়া, দার্জিলিং, শিলিগুড়ি, কালিম্পং, জলপাইগুড়ি, আলিপুরদুয়ার, রায়গঞ্জ, বালুরঘাট, বারাসত, বসিরহাট, ডায়মন্ডহারবার, সিউড়ি, রামপুরহাট, ঝাড়গ্রাম ও তমলুক জেলা হাসপাতাল এবং ক্যানিং মহকুমা হাসপাতাল, নন্দীগ্রাম সুপারস্পেশালিটি হাসপাতাল ও সাগর দত্ত মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতাল।

The Bengal Government is planning to set up its first crematorium for pets near Armenian Ghat in Kolkata.

The Animal Resources Development Department is going to set it up at an approximate cost of Rs 25 lakh. Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) will extend technical support to complete the project.

A small electrical furnace will be set up initially where dogs, cats and other small animals will be cremated. A second furnace will be set up later on.

আর্মেনিয়ান ঘাটের কাছে রাজ্য সরকারের উদ্যোগে তৈরী হতে চলেছে পশুদের শ্মশান।

প্রাণী সম্পদ উন্নয়ন দপ্তর এই শ্মশান তৈরী করবে আনুমানিক ২৫ লক্ষ টাকা ব্যয়ে। এই প্রকল্পে কারিগরি সহায়তা করবে কলকাতা পুরসভা।

একটি ইলেকট্রিক চুল্লি তৈরী করা হবে মৃত কুকুর, বেড়াল ও অন্যান্য পোষ্যদের অন্ত্যেষ্টি ক্রীয়ার জন্য। পরবর্তীকালে আরও একটি চুল্লি তৈরী করা হবে।

The first part of the 2018 Budget Session was a short session of eight days. The Budget was presented on February 1.

MPs from Trinamool Congress presented well-appreciated replies on the President’s Address and the Union Budget.  Questions were asked on relevant issues like manual scavenging, advertisement of junk food, etc.

Controversy erupted when a part of the telecast of Derek O’Brien’s speech during the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address was disrupted by Rajya Sabha TV. Opposition parties supported the AITC on its view that the full speech must be telecast. Ultimately it was re-telecast on February 9.

The Hon’ble Chairman of the Rajya sabha gives us enough opportunities to discuss any grievance we have with him. Going with these issues we can always talk to the Chairman in confidence. We do not need to go to any part of the social media to express ourselves. We want to tell you this clearly.

We want Zero hour, we want the Budget Discussion. Please protect us Sir. Oppositions want to speak in Zero hour and in Budget discussion.

Budget discussion and Zero Hours are serious issues. We all are waiting. Yesterday one member was named, we are all waiting to discuss.

Thanks to the State Fisheries Development Corporation (SFDC), fish-lovers in Kolkata would soon be able to lay their hands on sea fishes like tuna, salmon and sardines, and sea crabs as well. The Corporation is busy making arrangements to make these available soon.

They would be imported from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

After the necessary processing, the fishes would be made available through various wholesalers and retail sellers, and also through the fish-selling vans run by the SFDC.

Not just selling, the SFDC is also making preparations to breed and export these fishes, alongside the other exotic fishes it already does, like cobia, chanos, prawns (bagda) and basa.

At the recent Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS), memoranda of understanding (Mou) worth Rs 1,500 crore was signed in agriculture and related sectors, of which 19 MoUs worth Rs 480 crore were signed in the fisheries sector.

টুনা , সার্ডিন , স্যামন৷ ইচ্ছা থাকলেও কলকাতাবাসীর এই সামুদ্রিক মাছগুলি জোগাড়ে কালঘাম ছোটার উপক্রম৷ নিউ মার্কেটের মতো শহরের হাতেগোনা কয়েকটি বাজারেই টিন ফুডে এই মাছগুলি মিললেও, তা সাধারণের নাগালের বাইরে৷

মাস দেড়েকের মধ্যেই বদলে যেতে চলেছে এই পরিস্থিতি৷ কারণ, বাংলা থেকে চারা পোনা ও মাছের খাবার সরবরাহের বিনিময়ে আন্দামান ও নিকোবর দ্বীপপুঞ্জ থেকে টুনা , সার্ডিন , স্যামন এবং সামুদ্রিক কাঁকড়া আনতে চলেছে রাজ্য মৎস্য উন্নয়ন নিগম৷ এ নিয়ে আন্দামানের সঙ্গে একটি চুক্তিও রয়েছে নিগমের৷

আন্দামান থেকে আনা সেই সামুদ্রিক মাছগুলির প্রক্রিয়াকরণের পর স্থানীয় পাইকারি এবং খুচরো বাজারে তা বিক্রি করবে নিগম৷ নিগমের গাড়িগুলির মাধ্যমেও সেগুলি বিক্রি করা হবে৷ এমনকী , কোবিয়া , চ্যানোস , বাগদা , বাসার পাশাপাশি টুনা , সার্ডিন , স্যামন , সামুদ্রিক কাঁকড়া রন্তানির উদ্যোগও নিচ্ছে নিগম৷

এবছরের বেঙ্গল গ্লোবাল বিজনেস সামিটে কৃষি ও সংশ্লিষ্ট ক্ষেত্রে প্রায় ১ হাজার ৫০০ কোটি টাকার চুক্তি স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে৷ তার মধ্যে শুধু মৎস্য সংক্রান্ত চুক্তিই স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে ১৯টি, যার প্রস্তাবিত বিনিয়োগের পরিমাণ প্রায় ৪৮০ কোটি টাকা৷ এই প্রকল্পগুলি বাস্তবায়িত হলে মাছ প্রক্রিয়াকরণ শিল্পের অনেকটাই বিকাশ ঘটবে এ রাজ্যে৷

The State Government has taken up a project named Apat Mitra for providing training to youth in villages so that they can voluntarily support rescue operations at the time of any disaster.

Initially, the project has been started in South 24-Parganas and Purba Medinipur districts as pilot projects. Two hundred youths are undergoing training in each of these districts. Later the project will be implemented in all the districts.

Area-specific training will be provided to volunteers, as the state has a diverse landscape with hills in the extreme north, sea in the south and forests in the western part. So, local youth will get trained as per the requirement in their respective areas.

During an emergency, for carrying out a rescue operation, it is often found that support of local people is needed, besides the personnel of the Disaster Management Department and Fire and Emergency Services Department. And anyway, the local people of an area are the first responders in case there is any emergency situation. So, it is always better if some of them are well-trained.

 

দুর্ঘটনা-বিপর্যয়ে উদ্ধারে ঝাঁপাবে ‘আপদ মিত্র’

অসামরিক প্রতিরক্ষা ও বিপর্যয় মোকাবিলা দপ্তর অঞ্চল ভিত্তিক প্রশিক্ষিত স্বেচ্ছাসেবক তৈরী করার পরিকল্পনা নিয়েছে। এই নতুন প্রকল্পের নাম দেওয়া হয়েছে ‘আপদ মিত্র’। প্রাথমিক ভাবে দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগনা ও পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর এই দুই জেলায় পাইলট প্রোজেক্ট হিসেবে আপদ মিত্র প্রকল্প শুরু করা হয়েছে। বিপর্যয় মোকাবিলা দপ্তর আপাতত ২০০ জন করে স্বেচ্ছাসেবককে প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া শুরু করেছে এই দুই জেলায়।

অসামরিক প্রতিরক্ষা ও বিপর্যয় মোকাবিলা দপ্তরের এক শীর্ষ অধিকর্তার মতে, সব থেকে কম সময়ের মধ্যে উদ্ধারকাজ শুরু করে মৃত্যুর হার বা ক্ষয়ক্ষতির পরিমাণ যতটা সম্ভব কম করা যায় তাঁর জন্যই অঞ্চলভিত্তিক প্রশিক্ষিত স্বেচ্ছাসেবক তৈরী করার পরিকল্পনা নেওয়া হয়েছে।

অসামরিক প্রতিরক্ষা ও বিপর্যয় মোকাবিলা দপ্তরের প্রধান সচিব বলেন, আমাদের এই প্রকল্প সফল হলে আগামী দিনে রাজ্যের প্রতি জেলাতেই ‘আপদ মিত্র’ তৈরী করা হবে।

অঞ্চলভিত্তিক প্রাকৃতিক বিপর্যয়ের প্রকারভেদে এবার অঞ্চলভিত্তিক প্রশিক্ষণের মাধ্যমে বিপর্যয় স্বেচ্ছাসেবক বাহিনী স্বেচ্ছাসেবক তৈরী করছে। এই দপ্তরের এক শীর্ষ আধিকারিক বলেন, বিপর্যয়ের প্রকৃতি ভেদে পৃথক প্রশিক্ষণের ব্যবস্থা করলে শিক্ষার্থীদের দক্ষতা বাড়বে অনেকখানি।

প্রসঙ্গত, প্রত্যেক বছরই সিভিল ডিফেন্সে ২০ থেকে ২৫ হাজার স্বেচ্ছাসেবক প্রশিক্ষণ নিয়ে থাকে।

The popular ‘Fish On Wheels’ concept of Benfish is going to be introduced in Digha and Puri soon.

The named is used for the Benfish service wherein cooked fish is sold in vans. The service is available in Kolkata and is very popular. These tourist spots – on in Purba Medinipur district and the other in Odisha – are very popular with Bengali tourists and hence, Benfish has come up with the decision.

Benfish functions under the State Department of Fisheries. The vans to be introduced in Digha and Puri would also be of the latest model, and the ones in Kolkata would be replaced with these latest models too.

Further, Fish On Wheels would be introduced to tap the tourist market in Jangalmahal, Ayodhya Hills, Malda, Murshidabad, Siliguri, Darjeeling, the Dooars, Cooch Behar.

 

মাছের নানা মুখরোচক পদ নিয়ে এবার বেনফিশের গাড়ি চলবে দীঘা-পুরীতেও

বেনফিশের ‘ফিশ অন হুইলস’ এবার নামতে চলেছে দীঘা-পুরীতে। এতদিন কলকাতা শহরে ঘুরে ঘুরে বিভিন্ন মুখোরোচক মাছের খাবার বিক্রি করত বেনফিশের ‘ফিশ অন হুইলস’ গাড়ি। এবার সেই গাড়িই পৌঁছে যাবে সমুদ্র সৈকতের বুকে।

উল্লেখ্য, দীঘা-পুরী দুই জায়গাতেই পর্যটকদের থাকার জন্য ব্যবস্থা করেছে বেনফিশ। সারা বছর সেখানে বহু পর্যটক বুকিং করেন, ঘুরতে যান। কিন্তু এতদিন সেই এলাকায় বেনফিশের ‘ফিশ অন হুইলস’ বা গাড়িতে করে খাবার বিক্রির কোনও ব্যবস্থা ছিল না। অবশেষে সেই ব্যবস্থাও শীঘ্র ওই দুই জায়গাতে চালু করতে চাইছে বেনফিশ।

‘ফিশ অন হুইলস’-এর নতুন মডেলের গাড়ি দীঘা ও পুরীতে নামানো হচ্ছে। ইতিমধ্যে নতুন গাড়ির বরাত দেওয়া হয়ে গিয়েছে। গাড়ি এলেই ওই দুই জায়গায় খাবার বিক্রি করা শুরু হবে। ফিশ ফ্রাই, ফিশ ব্যাটার ফ্রাই, ফিশ ফিঙ্গার, ফিশ রোল, ফিস পকোড়া, ফিশ চপ, ফিশ শিক কাবাব থেকে শুরু করে বিভিন্ন বাহারি খাবার সাজিয়ে ‘ফিশ অন হুইলস’ পৌঁছে যাবে দীঘা এবং পুরীতে।

আগামী দিনে রাজ্যের আরও একাধিক জেলা, বিশেষত পর্যটন এলাকাগুলিতেও ‘ফিশ অন হুইলস’ চালু করার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে সংস্থার। বিশেষ করে জঙ্গলমহল, অযোধ্যা পাহাড়, মালদহ-মুর্শিদাবাদ, শিলিগুড়ি, দার্জিলিং, ডুয়ার্স, কোচবিহার থেকে একেবারে দক্ষিণের সুন্দরবনেও অদূর ভবিষ্যতে ‘ফিশ অন হুইলস’ চালু করার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে সংস্থার।

The Panchayats and Rural Development Department has created a silent revolution in Bengal with the Nirmal Bangla Mission by constructing 61,21,088 toilets in rural households. Thus, 95 per cent of the target for making the state open-defecation free (ODF) has been reached. The target of 64,15,430 rural toilets is going to be reached soon.

Nadia was India’s first district that was declared ODF. In Bengal, so far eight districts have been declared ODF – Nadia, South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, Purba Bardhaman, Paschim Bardhaman, Cooch Behar, Hooghly and Purba Medinipur.

Howrah and Malda will be declared ODF by March 2018. The other districts that will be soon declared as ODF are Murshidabad, Dakshin Dinajpur and Birbhum. The Panchayats Department is on a fast track to complete the project for the rest of the districts.

 

নির্মল বাংলা মিশনের ৯৫ শতাংশ কাজ শেষ

নির্মল বাংলা মিশনের মাধ্যমে গ্রাম বাংলায় এক বৈপ্লবিক পরিবর্তন আনছে রাজ্য পঞ্চায়েত ও গ্রামোন্নয়ন দপ্তর। ইতিমধ্যেই রাজ্যজুড়ে ৬১২১০৮৮ টি শৌচালয় নির্মাণ করে ফেলেছে এই দপ্তর, যা লক্ষ্যমাত্রার প্রায় ৯৫ শতাংশ। বাকি ৫ শতাংশ শৌচালয় নির্মাণের কাজও খুব শীঘ্রই সম্পন্ন হবে।

দেশের প্রথম নির্মল জেলা ঘোষিত হয় নদীয়া। এখন অবধি রাজ্যের আটটি জেলা নির্মল জেলা হিসাবে স্বীকৃতি পেয়েছে। সেগুলি হল, নদীয়া, দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগনা, উত্তর ২৪ পরগনা, পূর্ব বর্ধমান, পশ্চিম বর্ধমান, কোচবিহার, হুগলী এবং পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর।

মার্চের মধ্যে হাওড়া ও মালদা জেলাও নির্মল জেলায় রূপান্তরিত হবে। বাকি যে জেলাগুলি ঘুব শীঘ্রই নির্মল জেলা হিসাবে স্বীকৃতি পাবে সেগুলি হল, মুর্শিদাবাদ, দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুর এবং বীরভূম।
