Bangla Chief Minister Mamata Banejee today chaired an administrative review meeting for Dakshin Dinajpur district at Gangarampur Stadium. Besides taking several administrative decisions, she criticized the recent killing of five workers in Kashmir. She informed that the State Government had brought back all the workers from J&K and had provided them financial help. She reiterated that everybody in Bangla was safe and there would not be any NRC in Bangla.
The Chief Minister stressed on schemes like Jal Dharo Jal Bharo and asked for more cultivation of fish in water bodies. She also asked the district officials to increase poultry farming through SHGs. She thanked the farmers for the production of two lakh tonnes of paddy and increase in production of pulses. She asked the district administration to disburse funds for the Krishak Bandhu scheme to the farmers who have not received it yet. She informed that more people will be brought under the Swastha Sathi scheme and lauded the work done under the Sishu Sathi scheme. She also instructed the officials to promote the Kanyashree scheme in a better manner.
