Dola Sen’s supplementary question on the reasons handloom and textile PSUs have been closed down in recent years
Sir, through you, I want to know from the Union Government and the hon. Minister whether the mandatory Food Packaging Material Act, 1987, has been diluted by the Department. If so, what preventive measure is going to be taken by the Union Government to protect handloom and textile industry and for the betterment of the health of our countrymen? Why are the Union Government-run National Textile Corporation (NTC) and NJMC of handloom industry closed for the last few years? What measures are they going to take to prevent this? What our hon. Minister has already stated on the floor of the House, will he authenticate all those data? Thank you.
