WB CM Ms. Mamata Banerjee suggests a new tourism centre at Algarah, 15 km east of Kalimpong in Darjeeling district of West Bengal. This will be made on the Lamahata module and will encourage home tourism. She also announced a separate Buddhist Development Council.
