State Govt carrying out communal harmony campaign

The Bangla Government has started a three-phase State-wide campaign called ‘Ekotai Sampriti’ to spread the message of communal harmony and create awareness on its wide-ranging developmental projects.

The first phase is being held from November 2 to 4 in Kolkata (at Deshapriya Park) and in the districts of Hooghly (in Bhadreswar), Nadia, Howrah (at Sarat Sadan in Howrah Maidan) and Purulia.

The next two phases of the campaign will be held after Kali Puja – from November 16 to 18 in the districts of Purba Medinipur, Cooch Behar, Jhargram, Alipurduar (in Madarihat), Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur, Purba Bardhaman and Paschim Bardhaman, and from November 23 to 25 in Paschim Medinipur, Bankura, Malda, Jalpaiguri (in Balakoba), Kalimpong, Murshidabad, North 24 Parganas (in Naihati), Birbhum and Darjeeling (in Siliguri).

As part of the campaign, a digital tableau and two normal tableaus, with the caption ‘Ekotai Sampriti’ on them, are moving around places to spread the message of communal harmony and create awareness the developmental schemes and projects of the Trinamool Congress Government.

Several cultural programmes are also being held as part of the campaign. More than 30,000 folk artistes are taking part in the event, being organised at 5,000 different points across the State.

There are also exhibitions on handicraft goods manufactured by members of self-help groups (SHG). There will be various competitions for school-goers as well.

It may be said that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has always spread the message of communal harmony and peace in congruity with the tradition and culture of Bangla.
