Development will trump canards: Abhishek Banerjee at Diamond Harbour
Abhishek Banerjee Saturday attacked the BJP Bengal Chief at a public meeting at Bibirhat in Diamond Harbour. He said, “Contest from Diamond Harbour Parliamentary Constituency if you have the guts. Bring your two father figures from Delhi, Narendra Modi or Amit Shah, to contest from here. They will lose their deposits. If either of us lose we will retire from politics. This is my challenge”.
Abhishek also mounted his attack on the BJP on various issues. He alleged that the BJP only practises politics of riots. He also slammed the BJP Bengal Chief for his use of unparliamentary language.
Abhishek said, BJP will be routed in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. He warned the BJP not to play with fire. He said that the saffron party only played divisive and communal politics. Terming the proposed ‘Rath Yatra’ of BJP as ‘Ravan Yatra’, Abhishek said that it was only a five-star AC bus yatra.
Abhishek also highlighted the series of developmental projects undertaken by the State Government in Bangla. He said, thanks to the new Dongariya water supply project, people of Bishnupur-2 and Budge Budge-2 blocks will be benefited. He also said a bus terminus is coming up at Amtala.
Development-oriented politics of Trinamool will trump propaganda and canards of Opposition, he added.
