The Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal Government’s aim to provide safe drinking water for all got another boost today with the laying of the foundation stones of three projects at Damdama village in Birbhum district today by the Minister of Public Health engineering and Panchayat & Rural Development, Subrata Mukherjee.

The three projects are for supplying piped drinking water to the fluoride-contaminated ground water-affected regions of Suri-1, Suri-2 and Sainthia blocks.

As per this project, the water would be piped from the underground water of Mayurakshi River and supplied to 59 mouzas of the three blocks, covering an area of 8,303.81 hectares.

 

সকলের জন্য পানীয় জল – বীরভূমের জন্য নতুন প্রকল্প রাজ্য সরকারের

মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের অনুপ্রেরণায় সকলের জন্যও জল সরবরাহ নিশ্চিত করতে আজ কিছু বেশ কিছু প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন হল বীরভূম জেলায়।

আজ তিনটি প্রকল্পের শিলান্যাস করলেন জনস্বাস্থ্য কারিগরি এবং পঞ্চায়েত ও গ্রামোন্নয়ন বিভাগের মন্ত্রী সুব্রত মুখার্জি। বীরভূম জেলার সিউড়ি ১ নং, সিউড়ি ২ নং এবং সাইথিয়া ব্লকের অন্তর্গত ফ্লোরাইড কবলিত মৌজা সমূহের জন্যও নলবাহিত পানীয় জল সরবরাহ প্রকল্প।

এই জল সরবরাহের উ९স ময়ূরাক্ষী নদীর ভূ-গর্ভস্থ জল। প্রকল্পে অন্তর্ভুক্ত মৌজার সংখ্যা ৫৯ এবং  অন্তর্ভুক্ত এলাকা হল ৮,৩০৩.৮১ হেক্টর।

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the Utkarsh Bangla Scheme for school dropouts at the Netaji Indoor Stadium at 12 noon today.

This is the latest in the Trinamool Congress Government’s long line of social development schemes. The logo of the scheme, like for many others, has been designed by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also released a book on Utkarsh Bangla.

The idea is to give vocational training to school dropouts – training ranging from 400 to 1200 hours. They would be trained in tailoring, driving, repairing television and other electronic equipments, beautician courses et al. Certificates would be given to those completing the courses. The training courses would all be free of charge.

The Vocational Education Department would be in charge of implementing the scheme.

This scheme would result in the gainful employment of many people. According to officials of the Vocational Education Department, the syllabus has been made in line with the National Vocational Education Qualification Framework.

Along with Utkarsh Bangla, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also operationalised many skill development initiatives by inaugurating several industrial training institutes (ITIs) and laying the foundation stones of several more. She also inaugurated the campus of Amity University in Kolkata.

The Chief Minister also operationalised the Online Single-Window Clearance System portal for industrial projects and inaugurate industrial estates in Durgapur and Beliaghata. She gave away awards to national and state-level winners for excellence in skill development as well.

 

The salient features of the Chief Minister’s speech at the inauguration:

  • Utkarsh implies a mission and a vision to be successful and to transform our lives.
  • Nothing is impossible. Be positive and progress with a positive attitude.
  • Bengal is surging ahead in industrial training.
  • In four years, we have trained 15 lakh boys and girls. Out of them 10 lakh have secured jobs.
  • Bantala will be sector VI and Kalyani will be Sector VII.
  • Today there are 250 ITIs and 146 polytechnic colleges.
  • 68 lakh unemployed youth have been given jobs in the last four years.
  • We are building hostels for the students at a cost of Rs 35 crore.
  • We are providing training to 41,000 students from 1300 schools.
  • Utkarsh Bangla will also ensure that the students get the opportunity of campus placements after their training.
  • The companies that will take part in the campus placement drives have signed MOUs.
  • We will provide polytechnic and ITI training to 6 lakh students every year.
  • Samsung, Raymond, Berger Paints, Maruti Suzuki, ASSOCHAM (gems and jewellery), CREDAI (for construction-related jobs) to provide employment.
  • Today Bengal does not need to go to anyone else. Everyone is coming to Bengal today since we are leading in every field.
  • Bengal is the destination today for education, culture, healthcare, industry and humanity.

 

স্কুলছুট পড়ুয়াদের জন্য রাজ্য সরকারের নতুন প্রকল্প ‘উ९কর্ষ বাংলা’

পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় আজ নেতাজি ইনডোরে একটি প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করলেন যার নাম ‘উ९কর্ষ বাংলা’।‘উ९কর্ষ বাংলা’-র বিশেষ বই প্রকাশ করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

স্কুলছুট পড়ুয়াদের চাকরির জন্য তৈরি এই প্রকল্প। এই প্রকল্পের লোগো এঁকেছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী নিজে।

এই প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে পড়ুয়াদের প্রশিক্ষণ দেবে রাজ্য সরকার। এই প্রশিক্ষণের মেয়াদ হবে ৪০০ থেকে ১২০০ ঘণ্টা। ড্রাইভিং, টেলারিং, টিভি সহ ইলেক্ট্রনিক্স সামগ্রী মেরামত বহু বিষয়ে প্রশিক্ষণ দেবে রাজ্য সরকার।  প্রশিক্ষণ শেষে শংসাপত্র দেবে রাজ্য সরকার।

প্রশিক্ষণের দায়িত্বে থাকবে কারিগরি শিক্ষা দপ্তর।

এই প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে অনেক কর্মসংস্থান হবে ফলে বহু মানুষ উপকৃত হবেন। কারিগরি শিক্ষা দপ্তরের মতে জাতীয় প্রশিক্ষণ নীতি অনুসারে সিলেবাস তৈরি হয়েছে। এর ফলে রাজ্যের প্রশিক্ষণপ্রাপ্তরা ভিন রাজ্যে গিয়ে আর কোনও সমস্যায় পড়বে না।

এছাড়া বেশ কিছু প্রকল্প, স্কিল ডেভেলপমেন্ট উদ্যোগ, শিলান্যাস করলেন সরকারি প্রশিক্ষণ কেন্দ্রের এবং বেশ কিছু প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্যর কিছু বিষয়ঃ

  • ৬৮ লক্ষ বেকার ছেলেমেয়েকে চাকরি দেওয়া হয়েছে গত ৪ বছরে
  • সেক্টর-৬ হবে বানতলা এবং সেক্টর-৭ হবে কল্যাণীতে
  • আমরা ৩৫ কোটি টাকা দিয়ে ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের জন্য হস্টেল তৈরি করব

The Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal Government’s Adhikar Prakalpa has enabled an entire village in Purulia district to be relocated. To provide access to roads, healthcare and education, and thus proper livelihoods, the district administration has relocated the village of Kalabera.

All 32 families of this remote hamlet on the Ayodhya Hills now have one-room living quarters with a kitchen. Each of these dwellings were constructed at a cost of Rs 75,000. All have been provided electricity connections. A school and an ICDS centre are under construction too.

The new location of the hamlet is the foothills in Mahalitand, under Balarampur police station. The metalled road along the hamlet gives the villagers easy access to the nearby market in Urma.

The village depends mainly on forest produce and some agricultural activities, and goat rearing.

 

‘অধিকার’ প্রকল্পে নতুন গ্রাম পেল অযোধ্যা পাহাড়বাসী

মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের পরিচালিত রাজ্য সরকার ২০১২-১৩ সালে ‘অধিকার’ নামে প্রকল্পটি চালু করে। রাজ্যের ১১টি জেলায় এই প্রকল্পে কাজ হবে। তার জন্য মোট ১৬০ কোটি টাকা বরাদ্দ করা হয়।

ইতিমধ্যেই পুরুলিয়ায় এই প্রকল্প শুরু হয়েছে। কালবেরা গ্রামটিকে স্থানান্তর করা হয়েছে যাতে তাদের জীবনযাত্রার মান উন্নত হয় তাই রাস্তা, স্বাস্থ্য ব্যবস্থা, শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থা প্রভৃতির উন্নতি করা হয়েছে।

অযোধ্যা পাহাড়ের গ্রামের ৩২টি পরিবার এখন কংক্রীট বাসভুমি পেয়েছে। প্রত্যেককে ৭৫০০০ টাকা দেওয়া হয়েছে। প্রত্যেকে বিদ্যু९ পরিষেবা পেয়েছে। একটি বিদ্যালয় এবং ICDS কেন্দ্র ও থাকবে এখানে।

নতুন গ্রামটির অবস্থান হল বলরামপুর পুলিশ স্টেশনের অন্তর্গত মহালিতাণ্ড। এখানে একটি পাকা রাস্তাও আছে যার মাধ্যমে গ্রামবাসীদের যোগাযোগের অনেক সুবিধা হবে।

বনজ সম্পদ সংগ্রহ, কৃষিকাজ, ছাগ- পালন এসবের ওপর তাদের জীবিকা নির্ভর করে।

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has tweeted her best wishes to all Higher Secondary, High Madrasah, Alim and Fazil examninees.

The Higher Secondary examination commenced from today and will continue till February 29. Around 16 lakh candidates are appearing this year in 47 subjects from 649 centres across the State. There are 15,000 more female candidates than males.

The Madrasah Board examinations also started today and would continue till February 27.

The State Government has taken a lot of measures for the smooth conducting of the examinations. Among them are special buses for the examinees and assistance booths.

The Council of Higher Secondary Education has arranged for strict invigilation. Neither students nor teachers are being allowed to carry mobile phones inside the examination halls. The examination venue supervisors have been given identity cards.

A control room with a toll-free number has been made operational. The number – 18001039341 – can be called up to contact the authorities for any help, be it regarding the examinations or reporting any untoward incidents or anything else.

 

উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক ও হাই মাদ্রাসা পরীক্ষার্থীদের শুভেচ্ছা জানালেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক, হাই মাদ্রাসা, আলিম ও ফাজিল পরীক্ষার্থীদের শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়েছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক পরীক্ষা শুরু হচ্ছে আজ এবং চলবে ২৯শে ফেব্রুয়ারি পর্যন্ত। এবছর ৬৪৯টি পরীক্ষা কেন্দ্রে প্রায় ১৬ লক্ষ পরীক্ষার্থী পরীক্ষা দিচ্ছে। এবছর প্রায় ১৫০০০ বেশি ছাত্রী পরীক্ষা দিচ্ছে ছাত্রদের তুলনায়।

মাদ্রাসা বোর্ডের পরীক্ষা শুরু হবে আজ এবং চলবে ২৭শে ফেব্রুয়ারি পর্যন্ত।

নির্বিঘ্নে যাতে পরীক্ষা হয় সেজন্য রাজ্য সরকার নিশ্ছিদ্র নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থার আয়োজন করেছে। কিছু অতিরিক্ত বাসেরও ব্যবস্থা করেছে সরকার।

পর্ষদের তরফ থেকেও কড়া নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে যে ছাত্র ছাত্রীরা পরীক্ষার হলে মোবাইল ফোন আনতে পারবে না। পরীক্ষা কেন্দ্রের আধিকারিকদের পরিচয় পরত্র দেওয়া হয়েছে।

একটি হেল্পলাইন নম্বরও দেওয়া হয়েছে। টোল ফ্রি নম্বরটি হল – ১৮০০১০৩৯৩৪১।

The West Bengal Government under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has decided to revamp the inland waterways transport system.

To give a thrust to the project, the State Government has designated financial year 2016-17 as the Year of Inland Waterways. Rs 561 crore has been allotted to the Transport Department for the revamp.

Tourist spots on both banks of the Hooghly River are to be developed to make them more tourist-friendly. Places like Dakshineswar Temple, Ramakrishna Mission in Belur, the 108 Shiva temples in Bardhaman district and the ISKCON headquarters in Mayapur are a part of this project. The State Government is aiming to gradually develop a major riverine tourism infrastructure.

Inland ports and jetties are going to be developed in many places. Renovation of 23 jetties within the Kolkata metropolitan area, construction of 76 jetties, and three for the big RORO vessels, and building of 186 vessels, including both wooden and steel, are going to be taken up by the Transport Department.

Inland ports are going to be constructed on both banks of the Anjana River in Nadia district.

Jetties are going to be constructed on both banks of the Hooghly River – in Nasratpur, Maltipur, Nibhuje, Kunti, Shaktipur, Pultala, Milangarh, Rukeshpur, Triveni and Dunlop on the western bank, and in Kishoriganj Manmohanpur, Udayganj, Koldanga, Char Jatra Siddhi, Motiganj Borough Bazaar, Tarapur-Ranaghat, Gaurnagar, Sanyal Char, Majher Char and Bichulighat on the eastern bank.

Ghats in Chunchura, Chandannagar, Sheoraphuli, Serampore, Rishra, Knnnagar, Belur, Bandhaghat, Golabari Ghat, Howrah, Naihati, Jagaddal, Manirampur, Panihati, Ariadaha, Kuthighat, Jagannath Ghat, Fairlie, Babughat, Akra and Budge Budge are going to be modernised.

Already quite a few new water vessels have been deployed by the State Government to transport people along the rivers. Many of these, like the wooden vessels Biswa Bangla, Ganga Kanya, Ma-Maati, Yuvashree, Gangashree, which have been named by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee herself, have become quite popular.

RORO services over the Hooghly River from Raichak in South 24-Parganas to Kukrahati in Purba Medinipur and from Kalna in Bardhaman district to Nrisinghapur in Nadia district have opened up new avenues for both general travel and trade in rural Bengal.

More such services – from Budge Budge in South 24-Parganas to Bauria in Howrah, and from Chandannagar in Hooghly to Jagaddal in North 24-Parganas, also over the Hooghly River – would be started soon. Also a part of the inland waterways transport mega-plan would be RORO services from Katwa in Bardhaman district to Ballavpara in Nadia district.

Rs 100 crore has been allotted separately for developing the RORO services in a major way.

All the above projects would bring about a major change in both passenger and goods movements in West Bengal. The idea is to make optimum use of the widespread riverine system of the State. A lot of new employment opportunities are going to be created as well.

 

অভ্যন্তরীণ জলপথ বর্ষ ঘোষণা করতে চলেছে রাজ্য সরকার

মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় আভ্যন্তরীণ জলপথ বর্ষ ঘোষণা করতে চলেছে। যাত্রী পরিবহণ থেকে পণ্য পরিবহণ দুদিকেই সমান নজর দিচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকার।

নদীপথে বিপুল উন্নয়নের জন্য ৫৬১ কোটি বরাদ্দ করেছে রাজ্য সরকার।

আগামী দিনে কলকাতা মেট্রোপলিটন এরিয়ার অন্তর্গত নদীর পার্শ্ববর্তী ২৩টি জেটির সংস্কার সাধন, ৭৬টি নতুন জেটি নির্মাণ, ৩টি রো রো জেটি নির্মাণ, কাঠ ও স্টিল মিশিয়ে মোট ১৮৬টি ভেসেল নির্মাণের সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে পরিবহণ দপ্তর।

নদিয়া জেলায় অঞ্জনা নদীর দুই পাড়ে ইনল্যান্ড পোর্ট গড়ার দিকেও দ্রুত এগোচ্ছে পরিবহণ দপ্তর।

হুগলি নদীর পশ্চিম প্রান্তে নসরতপুর, মালতিপুর, নিভূজে, কুন্তি, শক্তিপুর, পুলতলা, মিলনগড়, রুকেশপুর, ত্রিবেণী ও ডানলপ এলাকায় জেটি নির্মাণ হবে।  অন্যদিকে হুগলি নদীর পূর্ব প্রান্তে কিশোরীগঞ্জ, মোহনপুর, উদয়গঞ্জ, কোলডাঙা, মোতিগঞ্জ, চার যাত্রা সিদ্ধি, বোরা বাজার, তারাপুর-রানাঘাট, গৌড় নগর, স্যান্যাল চর, মাঝের চর, বিচুলি ঘাটে জেটি নির্মাণ করা হবে আগামী দিনে।

চুঁচুড়া, চন্দননগর, শেওড়াফুলি, শ্রীরামপুর, রিষড়া, কোন্নগর, বেলুড়, বাঁধাঘাট, গোলা বাড়ি ঘাট, হাওড়া, নৈহাটি, জগদ্দল, মণিরামপুর, পানিহাটি, আড়িয়াদহ, কুঠিঘাট, জগন্নাথ ঘাট, ফেয়ারলি, বাবুঘাট, অক্র, বজবজের ঘাটগুলিকে আধুনিকীকরণ করা হবে।

ইতিমধ্যেই মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর নামাঙ্কিত বিশ্ববাংলা, গঙ্গা কন্যা, মা-মাটি, যুবশ্রী, কন্যাশ্রী, গঙ্গাশ্রীর মতো কাঠের ভেসেলগুলিতে প্রতিদিন বহু যাত্রী নদীপথে পরিবহণ করছে।

হুগলি নদীর ওপর রায়চক থেকে কুঁকড়াহাটিবা কালনা থেকে নৄসিংহপুর রো রো ভেসেল সার্ভিস গড়ে তুলে গ্রাম বাংলার পণ্য পরিবহণে নতুন দিগন্ত খুলে দিয়েছে পরিবহণ দপ্তর।

রো রো ভেসেল সার্ভিসে ১০০ কোটি টাকা বরাদ্দ করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে পরিবহণ দপ্তর।

The West Bengal Government is starting a pension plan for tea garden workers.

The pension plan would be for three categories of workers – for those who have crossed 60 years of age and have retired, for widows of workers, and for the differently abled.

After the Khadya Sathi Scheme, which entails rice and wheat at 47 paise per kg for tea garden workers and their families, this pension plan would further help to further alleviate the problems of tea garden workers.

 

চা শ্রমিকদের জন্য পেনশন প্রকল্প  আনতে চলেছে রাজ্য সরকার

বন্ধ চা বাগানের সঙ্গে জড়িয়ে থাকা আর্থিক ও সামাজিক সমস্যার কিছুটা সুরাহা করতে ত९পর হল রাজ্য সরকার। রাজ্য সরকার চা বাগানের শ্রমিকদের জন্যও পেনশন প্রকল্প শুরু করতে চলেছে।

তিনটি ধাপে শুরু হতে চলেছে পেনশন প্রকল্প। অবসরকালীন অর্থা९ ৬০ বছরের উপরে যাদের বয়স তারা পাবেন এই টাকা, বিধবা পেনশন অর্থা९ স্বামীর যদি মৃত্যু হয়ে থাকে এবং প্রতিবন্ধীদের জন্যও পেনশন।

খাদ্য সাথী প্রকল্পের আওতায় চা শ্রমিকরা ৪৭ পয়সা কেজি দরে চাল ও গম পাচ্ছেন। এরপর এই নয়ুন পদক্ষেপ নিঃসন্দেহে তাদের অনেক স্বস্তি দেবে।

To inculcate an appreciation for the environment, including aspects of pollution, for life on earth in general, and the solar system, the West Bengal Government is setting up two Knowledge Park and Science Museums in Haldia, South 24-Parganas district and Mahishadal, Purba Medinipur district.

The parks would be set up in two schools on a pilot basis – at Barbajitpur Girls’ School in Haldia and at Gopalpur High School in Mahishadal. This was announced last Thursday by Environment Minister Sudarshan Ghosh Dastidar. Kolkata’s Science Museum is providing technical help in setting up the two Knowledge Parks.

জীবজগতের নিত্যদিনের জীবনধারণ, সৌরজগ९, পরিবেশ দূষণ প্রভৃতি বিষয়ে ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের আরও অভিজ্ঞ করে তুলতে নলেজ পার্ক ও সায়েন্স মিউজিয়াম তৈরি করবে রাজ্য সরকার।

রাজ্যের পরিবেশ মন্ত্রক এই প্রকল্প গ্রহণ করেছে। পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর জেলার মহিষাদল ও হলদিয়ায় দুটি বিদ্যালয়ে রাজ্যের প্রথম নলেজ পার্ক ও সায়েন্স মিউজিয়াম তৈরি হবে।

মহিষাদলের গোপালপুর হাই স্কুল ও হলদিয়ার বাড়বাজিতপুর বালিকা বিদ্যালয়ে প্রথম গড়ে উঠবে নলেজ পার্ক ও সায়েন্স মিউজিয়াম একথা জানান পরিবেশমন্ত্রী সুদর্শন ঘোষ দস্তিদার। কলকাতার সায়েন্স মিউজিয়ামের সহায়তার তৈরি হবে এই ২টি নলেজ পার্ক।

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated quite a few projects today.

Adivasi Bhavan and Lepcha Bhavan, located in New Town, were inaugurated. The two multi-storied Bhavans, to be used as guest houses and for other purposes, have been designed by reputed architecture firms. They reflect the culture and tradition of the communities.

A centre for supporting weavers of muslin, named Muslin Tirtha, has been set up in Krishnagar, Nadia district, as a part of Project Muslin.

Among the other projects inaugurated were Aharan, a name coined by the Chief Minister herself for the State Institute of Hotel Management in Durgapur, a renovated Mahajati Sadan, a decorated gate of Nakhoda Mosque, and two water supply projects – one at Dhapa and another for the benefit of Behala, Jadavpur and other areas of South Kolkata.

Also inaugurated were 69 bus routes covering the entire State. She also wished the best to the Srijan Group for its new township project, being built in Uttarpara at a cost of Rs 10000 crore.

She greeted all the youth on the occasion of Saraswati Puja.

The inaugurations took place at the Milan Mela ground at 5.30 pm.

 

The salient points of the Chief Minister’s speech are:

  • We are trying to revive the art of muslin. We have undertaken projects for muslin weavers.
  • We have renovated Mahajati Sadan and several other auditoriums and theatres in the city.
  • We have inaugurated a water supply project for large parts of South Kolkata today at Garden Reach.
  • We have started a water supply project at Dhapa. Large sections of people have benefitted.
  • The Kolkata Municipal Corporation is doing very good work. I wish them all the best for the future.
  • I always support those who work earnestly for the benefit of people at large.
  • The Rajarhat-Newtown area has been beautified. The area looks beautiful now.
  • We have ushered in a revolution in the transport sector. 1500 buses and 15000 taxis have been introduced in the last 5 years.
  • Today we have started 126 new bus routes for North and South Bengal. This will boost the State Government’s ‘Gatidhara’ project.
  • When I was the Railway Minister, I allocated 10 railway factories to West Bengal. I started several Metro projects.
  • The Metro projects will be completed in three to four years and the traffic problem will be solved.
  • Railway factories started by me in Dankuni and Budge Budge are complete now.
  • Srijan Group has started a new township project in Uttarpara at a cost of Rs 10000 crore. My best wishes to them.
  • We are setting up a State Institute of Hotel Management in Durgapur. I have named it ‘Aharan.’ I pray for its long life and future.
  • West Bengal has progressed a lot in the last four years.
  • Jangalmahal is peaceful. Kanchenjungha is smiling. My brothers and sisters in the Hills are happy.
  • We have started the Lepcha Development Board, and boards for the Tamang, Bhutia and other communities. We will set up another one for the Adivasis of Terai.
  • We have created employment opportunities for 68 lakh youths despite financial hardships. We have created 98 crore mandays.
  • The Budget for the Minority Development Department has been hiked four-fold. We have introduced reservations for OBCs and minorities.
  • The developmental boards in the Hills are doing very good work. I congratulate them.
  • Women are coming forward. We have increased maternity leaves. We plan to introduce paternity leaves too.
  • We have unleashed ‘Karma Utsav’ in Bengal. If you work hard, your mind will be fresh.
  • Bengal is surging ahead in agriculture.
  • We have started free healthcare in the State.
  • My greetings to all the youth on the occasion of Saraswati Puja. Some people also celebrate it as a day of love.

বাংলা জুড়ে ‘কর্ম উ९সব’ চলছে: মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় আজ মিলন মেলা প্রাঙ্গনে বেশ কিছু প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন ও শিলান্যাস করলেন।

রাজারহাট ও নিউটাউনে আদিবাসী ও লেপচা ভবনের শুভ শিলান্যাস করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। এছাড়া ফলক উন্মোচনের মাধ্যমে নবরূপে নির্মিত মহাজাতি সদনের দ্বারোদঘাটন হল আজ।

স্টেট ইন্সটিটিউট অফ হোটেল ম্যানেজমেন্ট , দুর্গাপুরের ‘আহরণ’ পর্যটন দপ্তরের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

১২৭ নং ওয়ার্ডের শকুন্তলা পার্কে ৩ মিলিয়ন গ্যালন ক্ষমতাসম্পন্ন জলাধার ও বুস্টার পাম্পিং স্টেশনেরও শিলান্যাস করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।  এছাড়া একটি ‘মসলিন তীর্থ’ ও উদ্বোধন করলেন। এটি ‘প্রজেক্ট মসলিন’ এর অন্তর্গত প্রথম সাধারণ উ९পাদন কেন্দ্র।

উত্তরবঙ্গ পরিবহণ নিগম আরও ৬৯টি নতুন বাস রাস্তায় নামাতে চলেছে, এর মধ্যে আজ ২০টি বাসের উদ্বোধন হল আজ।

 

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্যের কিছু বিষয়:

  • মহাজাতি সদনকে নতুন ভাবে তৈরি করা হল
  • কলকাতা কর্পোরেশন খুব ভালো কাজ করছে, আমি চাই ভবিষ্যতে আরও ভাল কাজ করুক
  • রাজারহাট-নিউটাউন এলাকাকে অনেক সুন্দর করা হয়েছে
  • আজ আরও ১২৬ টি বাসরুটের উদ্বোধন করা হল দক্ষিণ ও উত্তরবঙ্গের জন্য
  • আর ৩-৪ বছরের মধ্যে মেট্রো প্রকল্পের কাজ শেষ হয়ে যাবে এবং যানজট সমস্যা মিটে যাবে
  • যখন আমি রেলমন্ত্রী ছিলাম বাংলার জন্য বহু মেট্রো প্রকল্প সহ ১০টি রেল কারখানা শুরু করেছি
  • উত্তরপাড়ায় ১০০০০ কোটি টাকার একটি টাউনশিপ প্রজেক্ট শুরু করেছে শ্রীজান গ্রুপ, আমার তরফ থেকে তাদেরকে অনেক শুভেচ্ছা
  • জঙ্গলমহলে শান্তি বিরাজ করছে, কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা হাসছে, আমার পাহাড়ের ভাই-বোনরা খুশি
  • আমরা লেপচা, তামাং, ভুটিয়া ও অন্যান্য সম্প্রদায়ের বোর্ড তৈরি করেছি, আদিবাসীদের জন্যও আমরা বোর্ড গঠন করব
  • গত ৪ বছরে পশ্চিমবাংলা অনেক এগিয়েছে
  • বাংলায় এখন ‘কর্ম উ९সব’ চলছে
  • আমরা বিনামূল্যে স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবা শুরু করেছি রাজ্যে
  • সকলকে আমি সরস্বতী পুজোর শুভেচ্ছা জানাই

Three major urban development projects were inaugurated on Thursday.

Under the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress administration, urban development has had a major fillip.

All the three are Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA)-helmed projects. A 40 MLG treated surface water supply project, named Water Supply Scheme, Phase-II, was inaugurated in Uluberia. The Rs 12,478.23-lakh project would satisfy the needs of 32 wards of Uluberia Municipality.

Along with that, an electric crematorium was inaugurated at Shatamukhi Ghat, also in Ulubaria.

Later, a bridge over Beleghata Canal, at the junction of Harinath Dey Street and Canal West Road, was inaugurated. This bridge near the Kankurgachhi Flyover has been built at a cost of Rs 3 crore.

 

কলকাতার নগরোন্নয়নে একগুচ্ছ প্রকল্পের রূপায়ন

মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের অনুপ্রেরণায় বৃহস্পতিবার বেশ কিছু প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করেছে পুর ও নগরোন্নয়ন দপ্তর ।

এই তিনটেই কেএমডিএ –র প্রজেক্ট। উলুবেড়িয়া পৌর এলাকায় ৮০-এমএলজি পরিশ্রুত ভূতল জল সরবরাহ প্রকল্পর উদ্বোধন করা হয়েছে। এই প্রকল্পে ব্যয় হয়েছে ১২৪৭৮.২৩ লক্ষ টাকা।

এর সাথে উলুবেড়িয়ার শতমুখী ঘাটে প্রস্তাবিত একটি বৈদ্যুতিন দাহন চুল্লীর ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপন হয়েছে।

বেলেঘাটা সার্কুলার ক্যানেলের ওপর হরিনাথ দে রোড এবং ক্যানেল ওয়েস্ট রোডের সংযোগস্থলে ৩ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে নির্মিত সেতুর উদ্বোধন করা হয়েছে, এটি কাঁকুড়গাছির কাছেই অবস্থিত।

Trinamool Congress Chairperson Mamata Banerjee addressed a meeting of the General Council of the party today at the Netaji Indoor Stadium.

Party MPs, MLAs, district council members, municipality councillors and senior district leaders were present at this crucial meeting.

Chairperson Mamata Banerjee praised the audience for maintaining discipline, and asked them to maintain that same discipline during the elections. She said that Trinamool Congress would not be provoked to do any wrong. She also stressed the fact that her party will respect the decisions of the Election Commission.

 The salient points of Chairperson Mamata Banerjee’s speech are as follows:

  • Small incidents are blown out of proportion and perpetrators are being wrongfully termed as Trinamool Congress leaders by some from the media.
  • Trinamool implies head being held high, let the Almighty have mercy on those who are continuously spreading slanders on Trinamool Congress.
  • We are always beside our co-workers, but if anybody uses the party for individual gains, that will not be tolerated.
  • Trinamool candidature does not need lobbying. It is necessary to work for the party. I keep watch on what is happening in Bengal.
  • I request all to work together along with those who have joined Trinamool Congress today. You have to be informed regarding our history.
  • 55,000 of our co-workers have died in the 34 years of Left rule. Do not forget their martyrdom.
  • It was our challenge that what the Left Front Government could not do, we will do and prove. That is why we work day and night.
  • We can’t differentiate between people for developmental works.
  • My request to the young generation is to be dedicated and disciplined.
  • Let the determination, devotion and dedication that we saw in our student lives be revived among students for a better Bengal.
  • We want our party to be an example among all other political parties, we want people to be proud of Trinamool Congress activists.
  • Development and communal harmony – this is what Trinamool is all about, please remember.
  • No decision taken during the last 4 years has hurt anybody in Bengal. We are proud of this.
  • CPI(M) and Congress are now tied up. We do not care if there is any coalition. But as long as we live, we will roar like a lion.
  • I am progressive. We take the good points from people. We cannot go against our ethics.
  • Our ministers in the Central Cabinet resigned rather than going against our ethics. Parties which go against their ethics will cease to exist.
  • Please do not do anything so that others can point a finger at Trinamool Congress. We instituted Khadya Sathi. I will not tolerate any politics.
  • 23 lakh bicycles have already been distributed for Sabuj Sathi. Two lakh more will be given out this month, and another 15 lakh very soon.
  • We are helping Imams and Moazzems. Today we will institute health schemes for journalists.
  • We have given employment to 68 lakh unemployed youth. Bengal is number 1 in skill development, agriculture and so many more sectors.
  • What happened to Sanchaita and other chit funds? We have instituted a law on chit funds.
  • I wish good health to my friends in the Opposition. You are no match for our developmental work. The people of Bengal are with us.

 

 

শৃঙ্খলার সাথে নির্বাচনে লড়বে তৃণমূল: মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

আজ নেতাজি ইনডোর স্টেডিয়ামে জেনারেল কাউন্সিলের বৈঠক করলেন তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের সভানেত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।  দলের সাংসদ, বিধায়ক, কাউন্সিলর সহ সব নেতা নেত্রী এবং কর্মীরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন এই সভায়। দৃঢ়তা ও নিষ্ঠা বজায় রেখে কর্মীদের শৃঙ্খলাপূর্ণ আচরণের জন্য তাদের প্রশংসা করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। তিনি বলেন নির্বাচন কমিশনের নির্দেশ মেনে চলবে তৃণমূল।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বক্তব্যর কিছু বিষয়ঃ 

  • কিছু সংবাদ মাধ্যম ছোট ছোট ঘটনার সাথে তৃণমূল নেতাদের নাম জড়িয়ে ফলাও করে সেইগুলি প্রচার করে
  • আমরা সর্বদা আমাদের কর্মীদের পাশে আছি, কিন্তু কেউ যদি ব্যক্তি স্বার্থে দলকে ব্যবহার করে আমারা তা সহ্য করব না
  • তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস মাথা উঁচু করে বাঁচে, যারা কুৎসা করছে তাদের ঈশ্বর ক্ষমা করুন
  • তৃণমূলের প্রার্থী হওয়ার জন্য দরকার মানুষের জন্য কাজ করা, বাংলার সর্বত্র কোথায় কি হচ্ছে আমি নজর রাখছি
  • সকলকে একজোটে কাজ করার আহ্বান জানাচ্ছি, তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের ইতিহাস সম্পর্কে আপনাদের অবগত থাকতে হবে
  • সিপিএম এর ৩৪ বছরের রাজত্বকালে আমাদের প্রায় ৫৫ হাজার সহ-কর্মীর মৃত্যু হয়েছে
  • বাম সরকার যা করতে পারেনি তাই করে দেখানো আমাদের কাছে চ্যালেঞ্জ ছিল, তাই আমরা দিন-রাত মানুষের জন্য কাজ করি
  • উন্নয়নমূলক কাজের ক্ষেত্রে মানুষের মধ্যে বিভেদ করা উচিত নয়
  • তরুণ প্রজন্মকে আমার অনুরোধ তারা যেন তাদের আচরণে শৃঙ্খলা বজায় রাখে
  • পশ্চিমবাংলার উন্নয়নের জন্য আমাদের কাজের মধ্যে ছাত্র জীবনের সংকল্প ও সংহতি ফিরিয়ে আনতে হবে
  • আমরা আমাদের দলকে অন্য সব রাজনৈতিক দলের মধ্যে একটি উদাহরণ করতে চাই, আমরা চাই মানুষ আমাদের কর্মীদের জন্য গর্ববোধ করুক
  • তৃণমূলের আদর্শ হল উন্নয়ন এবং সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতি
  • গত ৪ বছরে এমন কোনও সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়নি যা মানুষকে আঘাত করে, আমরা এজন্য গর্বিত
  • সিপিএম-কংগ্রেস এখন জোট করছে। আমরা কোনওরকম জোটের পরোয়া করিনা
  • সবাই সারদা নিয়ে আগ্রহী, সঞ্চিতা সহ বাকি চিট ফান্ড গুলোর কি হল? আমরা চিট ফান্ড সংক্রান্ত আইন নিয়ে এসেছি
  • আমি প্রগতিশীল, আমি মানুষের ভালো দিকগুলো থেকে শিক্ষা গ্রহণ করি, আমরা নীতিবিরুদ্ধ কাজ করি না
  • এমন কোন কাজ করবেন না যাতে মানুষ তৃণমূলের দিকে আঙুল তুলতে পারে, খাদ্য সাথী নিয়ে কোনও রকম রাজনীতি বরদাস্ত করব না
