Trinamool Congress Chairperson Mamata Banerjee today addressed the party’s annual Student-Youth Convention at Dumurjola Stadium in Howrah district.
The annual convention has been divided from this year into two conventions – a North Bengal Convention and a South Bengal Convention.
Besides Mamata Banerjee, AITYC President Abhishek Banerjee, and senior leadership of the party were present at the convention.

Trinamool is a party of the people. We cannot function without their support. Maa, Mati, Manush are our driving force.
We registered an emphatic victory in Uluberia and Noapara. The credit goes to the people and the grassroots workers who have worked tirelessly.
Our workers are our assets. Every block president, student leader must become the pillar of support for the party. There is no place for arrogance.
Leaders do not drop from skies. There is no place for lobbying. Leaders have to be formed among the workers. Election tickets are not for sale in our party.
Food, shelter, clothing – these are the basic necessities of life. There is no place for greed in public life.
I admire the workers who dedicate themselves to the party and will never sell-out the party for selfish needs.
We are paying for the debt incurred by the Left. The amount of work we have done despite financial constraints, is unmatched.
Sabuj Shree, mid-day meal, scholarships, Sabuj Sathi, Samabyathi – from birth to death we have schemes for all phases of life.
Kanyashree girls are our pride. We have increased their monthly stipend. We have abolished khajna tax for farmers.
We have started crop insurance for farmers. 79 lakh Kisan Credit Cards have been distributed.
25 lakh houses have been built for the poor. We have constructed 23,000 km roads. We have generated 81 lakh jobs in 6 years.
We are no. 1 in 100 Days’ Work, MSME, e-tendering, skill development, agriculture, ease of doing business.
We have announced a new scheme ‘Ruposhree’. Six lakh girls will benefit from this initiative. We have started ‘Manobik’ scheme for the physically-challenged people.
BJP does not understand governance. 12,000 farmers have committed suicide. Why have they not waived off loans taken by farmers?
No mechanism, no funds allocated for the announcements. The budget shows the nervousness of the BJP.
BJP has been decimated in Rajasthan. BJP will disappear after 2019.
People have blessed us abundantly in Bengal. Even if all three parties get together, they cannot defeat us.
Dr Amit Mitra said this budget is big bluff. I called it a big flop.
Hinduism is an all-encompassing religion. It is not narrow and petty like the BJP.
Ramakrishna Paramhansa had said joto mot, toto poth. This is our guiding motto.
Trinamool believes in unity, harmony, development, credibility, culture, education, traditions, democracy, humanity.
Our only ideology is the welfare of the people.
BJP only understands the language of money. Bengal cannot be conquered by money power.
Central agencies target us because we oppose their brand of politics. Trinamool does not bow its head before anyone.
CPI(M) and Congress have an understanding with the BJP.
Youth and students must counter the BJP’s propaganda on social media. BJP spends crores on social media.
We do not have the money but we have the support of the youth. We have to focus on making our digital network strong in districts.
The next generation of leaders will emerge from the youth.
We had a traitor in our party. We are thankful to God he is no longer with our party. Trinamool has been saved.
Section of the media targets us. But they remain silent on the wrongdoings of the BJP.
I am committed to the development and welfare of people from all walks of life.
সিপিএম, বিজেপি, কংগ্রেসের গোপন বোঝাপড়া আছে, ছাত্র-যুব সম্মেলনে বললেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়
অন্যান্য বছরের মত এবছরও তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের বার্ষিক ছাত্র-যুব সম্মেলন অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে। এই বছর, উত্তর ও দক্ষিণবঙ্গে দুটি পৃথক সম্মেলন হবে।
দক্ষিণ বঙ্গের সম্মেলনটি আজ আয়োজিত হয় হাওড়া জেলার ডুমুরজোলা স্টেডিয়ামে দুপুর ১টায়।
এই সম্মেলনের প্রধান বক্তা তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের সর্বভারতীয় সভানেত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। উপস্থিত ছিলেন তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেসের সর্বভারতীয় সভাপতি অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়, দলের অন্যান্য নেতৃত্ববৃন্দ এবং অগণিত সমর্থক।
তাঁর বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশঃ
তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস মানুষের দল। মানুষকে বাদ দিয়ে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস তৈরী হয় নি। আমাদের একমাত্র সম্পদ মা মাটি মানুষ।
নোয়াপাড়ার ও উলুবেড়িয়ার উপনির্বাচনে এই পরিমাণ ভোটে জেতা সহজ নয়। সব কৃতিত্ব মানুষের। আর ওই ভোট সংগ্রহ করতে যে কর্মীরা এলাকায় এলাকায় রৌদ্রে জ্বলে ঘাম ঝরিয়ে এলাকায় এলাকায় কাজ করে তাদের।
আমার দলীয় কর্মীরা আমাদের সম্পদ। একেকটা ব্লক প্রেসিডেন্ট, দলের একেকটা স্তম্ভ তৈরী হোক। আমি নেতা, এই নিয়ে অহঙ্কার করার জায়গা নেই।
নেতৃত্ব তৈরী করতে হয়, নেতা গাছ থেকে পড়ে না, নেতা কাজের মধ্যে দিয়ে তৈরী হয়। কে কোথাকার নেতা, লবি করে বলতে হয় না, তৃণমূল একমাত্র দল যারা টাকা দিয়ে টিকিট বিক্রি করে না, লবি করে না।
নিজের জন্য একটু খাদ্য বস্ত্র বাসস্থান, এর বেশী কিছু লাগে না। লোভ সম্বরণ করা, রাজনীতির একটা বড় হাতিয়ার।
আমি সেই সব কর্মীদের প্রাণ দিয়ে ভালবাসি, যারা লোভ সম্বরণ করে দেখাতে পারে, যে আমরা দলের জন্য সব কিছু করতে পারি, কিন্তু নিজের জন্যও দলকে বিক্রি করি না।
সিপিএমের দেনা আমাদের শোধ করতে হচ্ছে, ওদের দেনায় আমরা জর্জরিত হয়ে গেছি। যে কাজ আমাদের সরকার করেছে, এই কাজ কোন সরকার করে দেখাতে পারবে না।
জন্মালেই সবুজশ্রী, স্কুলে গেলেই মিড ডে মিল, সংখ্যালঘু ভাতা, সবুজ সাথী, সমব্যাথী – জন্ম থেকে মৃত্যু আমাদের প্রকল্প আছে।
কন্যাশ্রীর মেয়েরা আমাদের গর্ব, তাদের স্কলারশিপ বাড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে। কৃষকদের জন্য খাজনা মুকুব করা হয়েছে।
বিনা পয়সায় ক্রপ ইনস্যুরেন্স করে দেওয়া হয়েছে। ৬৯ লক্ষ কিষাণ ক্রেডিট কার্ড দেওয়া হয়েছে।
২৫ লক্ষ গরীব লোকের বাড়ি তৈরী করে দিয়েছি আমরা। ২৫০০০ কিঃমিঃ রাস্তা তৈরী করে দিয়েছি গ্রামে।
১০০ দিনের কাজে, ক্ষুদ্র-মাঝারি শিল্পে, ই-টেন্ডারে, কৃষি কর্মণে, ইজ অফ ডুয়িং বিজনেসে আমরা এক নম্বরে।
আমরা কণ্যাশ্রীর মত রুপশ্রী স্কিম তৈরী করে দিয়েছি। । ছয় লক্ষ মেয়েরা এই সুবিধা পাবে। আমরা শারীরিক প্রতিবন্ধীদের জন্য ‘মানবিক’ স্কিম শুরু করেছি।
বিজেপি কোনও গভর্নেন্স-ই জানে না। ১২,০০০ হাজার কৃষক ভারতবর্ষে আত্মহত্যা করেছে। কেন আজ পর্যন্ত কৃষকদের ঋন মকুব করে নি?
বাজেটে কোনও মেক্যানিজম রাখেনি, কোনও টাকা সেভাবে দেওয়া হয়নি। হতাশার বাজেট, নার্ভাসনেসের বাজেট, ক্ষমতা থেকে চলে যাওয়ার ভয়।
রাজস্থানে বিজেপি হেরে ভূত। এমন হার হারবে ২০১৯ সালে বিজেপিকে আর খুঁজে পাওয়া যাবে না।
মানুষের আশির্বাদ আমরা অনেক পেয়েছি বাংলায়। তিনটে পার্টি ভোট একসঙ্গে করলেও আমাদের হারাতে পারবে না।
অমিত দা (ডঃ অমিত মিত্র) এই বাজেট-কে বিগ ব্লাফ বলেছে, আর আমি বলেছি সুপার ফ্লপ।
হিন্দু ধর্ম সার্বজনীন ধর্ম। বিজেপি-র মত সংকীর্ণ ও ক্ষুদ্রমণা নয়।
রামকৃষ্ণ পরমহংস বলে গিয়েছিলেন ‘যত মত, তত পথ। সেটাই আমাদের চলার পাথেয়।
তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস বিশ্বাস করে একতা, সম্প্রীতি, উন্নয়ন,বিশ্বাসযোগ্যতা, সভ্যতা, শিক্ষা, সুস্থ-সংস্কৃতি, প্রকৃত গণতন্ত্র, মানবিকতা।
আদর্শ আমাদের একটাই, আমরা জনগনের পক্ষে।
বিজেপি শুধুমাত্র টাকা ছাড়া আর কিছু চেনে না। কিন্তু টাকা দিয়ে বাংলা জয় করা যায় না।
কেন্দ্রীয় সংস্থাগুলি আমাদের টার্গেট করে, কারণ আমরা তাদের ব্র্যান্ডের রাজনীতির বিরোধিতা করি। কিন্তু তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস কারুর সামনে মাথা নোয়ায় না।
সিপিআই(এম) এবং কংগ্রেসের বিজেপির সঙ্গে বোঝাপড়া আছে।
ছাত্র-যুবদের সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় বিজেপি-র প্ররোচনার জবাব দিতে হবে। বিজেপি সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় হাজার হাজার কোটি টাকা খরচ করে।
চুরি করা হাজার টাকার থেকে ১ টাকার গুরুত্ব অনেক বেশী। জেলায় জেলায় সোশ্যাল নেটওয়ার্ককে স্ট্রং করতে হবে।
আগামী ৫০ বছরের জন্য জেনারেশন তৈরী করে দিয়ে যাব।
দু-একটা গদ্দার সব দলে থাকে, ঈশ্বর আমাকে বাঁচিয়ে দিয়েছে, এরা গেছে আমি বেছে গেছি। আমার দল বেঁচে গেছে।
সংবাদমাধ্যমের একাংশ শুধু আমাদের টার্গেট করে। বিজেপি যে কোটি কোটি টাকা রোজ খরচা করে, সেটা নিয়ে কটা খবর বেরিয়েছে?
তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের কেউ কোনদিন জনবিরোধী সিদ্ধান্ত নেবে না।
