Trinamool Youth Congress, under the leadership of TMYC National President and MP, Abhishek Banerjee, hit the streets today to protest against the FRDI (Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance) Bill. A rally was held from Jadavpur to Hazra at 2 PM.
Trinamool has been vocal against this controversial Bill from the very beginning. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has written to the Union Finance Minister demanding that this Bill be withdrawn as it would take away the savings of common people entrusted to banks.
Trinamool MPs from both Houses held a dharna in Parliament premises on December 19, 2017, against the FRDI Bill. Leader of the party in Rajya Sabha, Derek O’Brien said that this Bill must be sent to cold storage.

BJP has been wiped out of Bengal. It is a matter of time before they are wiped out of India. Narendra Modi, who once dreamt of becoming PM by selling his Gujarat model, has suffered a drubbing in his home state. BJP has recorded its worst performance in 22 years. They even lost in Narendra Modi’s hometown. This only shows BJP will be voted out in 2019; their death knell has been rung.
On December 15, Mamata Banerjee instructed us to hit the streets against the draconian FRDI Bill. We have to reach out to the people and make them aware of its dangers. We have agitated in Parliament on this issue earlier this week. As long as Trinamool is in existence, we will not allow FRDI Bill to be passed. The Bill has already been referred to a Select Committee. We will fight till the end.
From demonetisation to Aadhaar to the hasty implementation of GST – the Centre has taken a slew of anti-people decisions. Trinamool has not maintained silence on these issues. We cannot be intimidated by threats of CBI or ED. Our protests will continue, and will become more intense in the future.
Those who cannot compete with us on the plank of development, only indulge in big talk. They are trying to create fissures in Bengal on religious lines. We will lay down our lives but never allow communal poison to spread in Bengal.
Mamata Banerjee has fulfilled the promises she made before coming to power. Narendra Modi has failed to keep his word. They raised questions about Mamata Banerjee’s governance. Her dream project Kanyashree won laurels from the United Nations.
If FRDI Bill is passed, the hard-earned deposits of people in banks are liable to be lost. There is no security. There is no difference between chit funds and BJP. Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are trying to usurp the money of people, just like chit funds. If Sudipto Sen has been arrested, why not BJP leaders?
Who are they to decide what a person will wear, what they will eat or where they will live? In the name of love jihad, they are killing people. A member of Modi’s Cabinet is a Muslim but he married a Hindu. If that is acceptable, why was Malda’s Afrazul brutally murdered? Narendra Modi must answer.
They only give speeches; they do not want Bengal to prosper. They do not want people to get the benefits of Sabuj Sathi, Sabuj Shree, Baitarani, Samabyathi, Geetanjali, Gatidhara. They budget for Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao for the entire country is Rs 100 crore. In Bengal, for Kanyashree, Mamata Banerjee has allocated Rs 1200 crore. We want people to move past the dark days of Left rule. The infamous 34 years should not come back.
During CPI(M) rule, many leaders had anti-socials among their followers, like ‘haat kata Dilip’. Now, BJP has ‘jibh kata Dilip’ who has no control over what he says. Let them attack us, as much as they want. We will continue to work for the people of Bengal.
I am a Hindu and I believe Swami Vivekananda is an icon of Hinduism. He had advocated freedom in every sphere if the society has to progress.
In other States, the entire administrative machinery is used to win elections. That is not the case in Bengal. Those who are rejected by our party are joining BJP, and they are celebrating their induction. BJP has become Bharatiya Janjaal Party. Garbage is their asset. People of Bengal are our assets.
The CPI(M) used all its might and force but could not set up Nano factory in Singur. BJP will also not be able to bulldoze the anti-people FRDI Bill.
এফআরডিআই বিলের বিরোধিতায় পথে তৃণমূল
জনবিরোধী ব্যাঙ্কিং বিল – FRDI (Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance) Bill – এর বিরোধিতায় আজ পথে নামলো তৃণমূল। তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেস সভাপতি ও সাংসদ অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নেতৃত্বে আজ একটি মিছিলের আয়োজন করেয়া হয়েছিল যাদবপুর থেকে হাজরা পর্যন্ত।
শুরু থেকেই এই বিলের বিরোধিতা করছে তৃণমূল। এফআরডিআই বিলের বিরোধিতা করে কেন্দ্রীয় অর্থমন্ত্রীকে চিঠিও দিয়েছেন বাংলার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। তিনি বলে যে এই বিল আইন হলে ব্যাঙ্কে গচ্ছিত সাধারণ মানুষের টাকা সুরক্ষিত থাকবে না। অবিলম্বে এই বিল প্রত্যাহারের দাবিও জানান তিনি।
গত ১৯শে ডিসেম্বর এফআরডিআই বিলের বিরোধিতায় সংসদ চত্বরে ধর্ণা দেন তৃণমূল সাংসদরা।
অভিষেকের বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশঃ
বিজেপি এমনিতেই বাংলা থেকে মুছে গেছে, ভারত থেকে মুছে যাওয়া শুধুমাত্র সময়ের অপেক্ষা। যে গুজরাতকে সামনে রেখে নরেন্দ্র মোদী ভারত দখল করার স্বপ্ন দেখেছিল, সেখানে বিগত ২২ বছরে সবচেয়ে খারাপ ফল করেছে ভারতীয় জনতা দল। নরেন্দ্র মোদীর জন্মস্থান বিব্জেপির নিজের হাতছাড়া হয়ে গেছে। এই ফলাফল এটাই প্রমাণ করে ২০১৯ এ বিজেপির বিদায় ঘণ্টা বেজে গেছে।
গত ১৫ তারিখে তৃণমূল ভবনে কোর কমিটির বৈঠকে আমাদের নেত্রী আদেশ নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন জনবিরোধি সিদ্ধান্তের বিরুদ্ধে আমাদের সকলকে ঐক্যবদ্ধ হয়ে রাস্তায় নামতে হবে। ব্যাঙ্কিং বিলের বিরুদ্ধে আমাদের সর্বস্তরের মানুষকে আন্দোলনমুখী হতে হবে। গত সপ্তাহে আমাদের সাংসদরা লোকসভা ও রাজ্যসভার বাইরে ও ভিতরে আমরা আমাদের প্রতিবাদ জানিয়েছি। আমি কথা দিচ্ছি তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস এফ আর ডি আই বিল পাস হতে দেবে না। ইতিমধ্যেই এটি সিলেক্ট কমিটিতে গেছে এবং আমরা এর শেষ দেখে ছাড়বো।
নোট বাতিল, আধার, জি এস টি থেকে শুরু করে একের পর এক জনবিরোধী সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে নরেন্দ্র মোদীর সরকার। তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস চুপ করে থাকেনি। সিবিআই, ইডি দেখিয়ে আমাদের দমিয়ে করিয়ে রাখা যাবে না। মানুষের পেতে যদি আঘাত পরে আমরা আন্দোলন করব, প্রতিবাদ করব। দরকার হলে জেলায় জেলায়, ব্লকে ব্লকে এই আন্দোলন চলবে। আগামী দিনে এই প্রতিবাদ বৃহত্তর আন্দোলনে পরিণত হবে।
যারা উন্নয়ন নিয়ে প্রশ্ন করতে পারে না, তারা শুধু বড় বড় কথা বলে, আর বাংলায় হিন্দু মুসলমানের বিভাজন তৈরি করে দ্বিখণ্ডিত করার চেষ্টা করে। আমাদের জীবন গেলে যাবে কিন্তু আমরা বাংলাকে অশান্ত হতে দেব না।
মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় সরকারে আসার পর যা কথা দিয়েছে সব কথা রেখেছে। নরেন্দ্র মোদীর সরকার একটা কথাও রাখেনি। যারা মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের একাধিক উন্নয়নমূলক প্রকল্প নিয়ে অনেকে প্রশ্ন করেছিল। মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের কন্যাশ্রী আজ বিশ্বের দরবারে প্রশংসিত।
এফ আর ডি আই বিল চালু হলে মানুষকে না জানিয়ে তার টাকা ব্যাঙ্ক জবরদখল করে নিতে পারে। সুদীপ্ত সেন আর বিজেপির নেতাদের মধ্যে কোন পার্থক্য নেই। চিট ফান্ডের প্রতারকদের মতো ব্যাঙ্কে টাকা রাখলে আজ অমিত শাহ, নরেন্দ্র মোদীরা নিয়ে যাচ্ছে। সুদীপ্ত সেন যদি গ্রেফতার হয় তাহলে ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও মন্ত্রীসভার সদস্যদের বিরদ্ধে কেন কোন পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হবে না?
কে কি খাবে? কে কি পরবে? কে কোথায় থাকবে? লাভ জিহাদের নাম করে মানুষকে হত্যা করে দেওয়া হচ্ছে, খুন করে দেওয়া হচ্ছে। বিজেপির মন্ত্রীসভার এক মুসলমান সদস্য যাকে বিয়ে করেছেন, তিনি একজন হিন্দু। তিনি যদি একজন হিন্দুকে বিয়ে করতে পারেন, মালদার আফরাজুলকে তাহলে কেন নৃশংস ভাবে কুপিয়া হত্যা করা হল? এর জবাব নরেন্দ্র মোদীর সরকারকে দিতে হবে।
যারা বড় বড় কথা বলে, তারা কোনোদিন বাংলার উন্নতি চায় না। তারা চায় না সবুজসাথী, সবুজশ্রী, বৈতরণী, সমব্যাথী, গীতাঞ্জলী, গতিধারার মাধ্যমে বাংলা অগ্রগতির পথে এগিয়ে যাক। বেটি বাঁচাও বেটি পড়াও-এর বাজেট সারা দেশে ১০০ কোটি, আমাদের কন্যাশ্রীর বাজেট শুধু পশ্চিমবঙ্গে ১২০০ কোটি। আমরা চাই বাংলার মানুষ এগিয়ে যাক, আমরা চাই ৩৪ বছরের কলঙ্কিত দিনগুলো যেন বাংলার মানচিত্রে আর ফিরে না আসে।
আগে সিপিআইএম আমলে নেতাদের ছত্রছায়ায় থাকত দুষ্কৃতি, হাত কাটা দিলীপ, আজ দেখছি বিজেপির জিভ কাটা দিলীপ। আগের দিলীপের হাতের ওপর নিয়ন্ত্রণ ছিল না, আজকের দিলীপের জিভের ওপর নেই। তারা আক্রমণ করলে করুক, আমরা এগিয়ে যাব। ওরা যত আক্রমণ করেছে, তৃণমূল তত উন্নয়ন করেছে।
আমি হিন্দু, আমি মনে করি এই ধর্মের সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ প্রচারকের নাম স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ। তিনি আমাদের শিখিয়েছেন, সমাজকে শক্তিশালী করতে হলে সর্বক্ষেত্রে আমাদের স্বাধীনতার প্রয়োজন।
অন্য রাজ্যে সব কিছু জবরদখল করে, সব মেশিনারি কাজে লাগিয়ে ভোট করতে পারে, কিন্তু, বাংলায় তারা করতে পারবে না। আমরা যাদের উচ্ছিস্ট করে এদিক ওদিকে ফেলে দিচ্ছি, বিজেপি সেগুলোকে নিয়েই নাচানাচি করছে। বিজেপি এখন ভারতের জঞ্জাল পার্টিতে পরিণত হয়েছে। এই জঞ্জল নিয়ে এরা দল করুক, আমরা বাংলার মানুষকে নিয়ে দল করি।
আমাদের নেত্রী ২৬ দিন অনশন করে আমাদের গণআন্দোলনের পথ দেখিয়েছে। কোনভাবেই যাতে এই জনবিরোধী বিল পাস না হয়, সেই আন্দোলন আমাদের করতে হবে। সিঙ্গুরে যেমন সিপিআইএম গায়ের জোরে ন্যানো কারখানা করতে পারে নি, বিজেপিও গায়ের জোরে FRDI Bill পাস করতে পারবে না।
