Chief minister asks for opinion of students, guardians and the general public on the issue of holding secondary and HS examinations of the state board

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has asked for the opinion of students, guardians and the general public on whether to hold the secondary (Madhyamik) and higher secondary (Uccha Madhyamik) examinations of the Bengal government board in view of the looming shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Emphasising that “[o]ur children’s future is my greatest priority”, she tweeted today (June 6) that the State government has “formed an expert committee to decide over holding the Class 10th & 12th board exams in 2021”. The chief minister attached a notice issued by the School Education Department in this regard.

Mamata Banerjee went on to “request each one of you to send us your feedback on the issue by e-mailing us on following addresses by June 7th, 2021, 2 PM”, and gave three email addresses to send in the opinions to:
