Trinamool observes ‘black day’
Kolkata Feb 1: Trinamool party workers observed ‘black day’ today to protest yesterday’s planned attack in Midnapore by the state police force with the help of ‘Harmads’. Senior leaders like Partha Chatterjee, Subhendu Adhikari and Subrata Mukherjee led a silent march in Midnapore town to protest ‘unprovoked’ police lathicharge at Trinamool workers and journalists. Even groups of journalists agitated at various places in Midnapore town, Kharagpur and Chandrakona Road. In Kolkata’s Press Club, it was decided that the Press Club itself will form a committee led by a retired High Court judge to probe into the matter. The Press Club has started talks with lawyers to guide them in this matter.
