Committed to working for the people: Mamata Banerjee at Trinamool Core Committee meeting
The extended core committee meeting of Trinamool Congress was held at Uttirna today. It is the first time that a core committee meeting was held at this open-air auditorium.
Besides MPs and MLA, leaders from the gram panchayats, panchayat samitis and zilla parishads attended the meeting.
Trinamool Congress Chairperson Mamata Banerjee addressed the meeting and gave directions for the future.

- State Budget will be presented today. Union Budget will presented tomorrow. They will present an election-centric budget. Our budget is development-centric.
- We have seen how mismanaged the economy of the country has been in the last few years.
- Panchayat elections will be held within the next few months. All pending work must be completed in due time.
- We have already constructed 23,000 km rural roads. 8,000 km new roads will be built.
- We have constructed 25 lakh houses for the poor. We will distribute additional 5 lakh houses.
- From Shishu Sathi at birth to Sabuj Sathi in school to Samabyathi in death – we have schemes for all phases of life.Like we have schemes for backward classes, we have schemes for the economically-backward sections among general castes too.
- Our government is committed to the welfare of the people. We never take any anti-people decisions.
- When BJP spends crores of money, why media remains silent? Why do they target only smaller parties?Section of the media has bad intention. They always criticise and never highlight the positives. This is cheap and dirty game.
- Our responsibilities increased after coming to power.
- We must focus on social media. BJP and Congress spend crores on digital media. We do not have such resources.
- BJP spreads fake news and lies on social media. We have to counter them.
- We will have women’s marches in every block of the State on 6 March. District-level marches will be held on 7 March.
- On 8 March, women’s rallies will be held in Kolkata and Siliguri to commemorate International Women’s Day
- Youth and students’ convention will be held in Howrah on February 2 and in Siliguri on February 5
- In times of crisis, focus should always on relief and rescue operations first. Opposition can play petty politics later
- They (Opposition parties) are more active on media than on ground.
- 12,000 farmers committed suicide in Maharashtra. They are in distress.
- BJP must answer people on issues like FRDI, farmers’ distress, price rise, withdrawal of railway projects.
- Trinamool will organise rallies against price rise every Saturday and Sunday, till March 8.
আমরা কোনও জনবিরোধী সিদ্ধান্ত নিই না: বর্ধিত কোর কমিটি বৈঠকে বললেন দিদি
আজ উত্তীর্ণতে অনুষ্ঠিত হল তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের বর্ধিত কোর কমিটির বৈঠক। এই প্রথম এই নবনির্মিত মুক্তমঞ্চে বৈঠক অনুষ্ঠিত হল।
সাংসদ ও বিধায়কদের পাশাপাশি গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েত, পঞ্চায়েত সমিতি ও জেলা পরিষদের নেতানেত্রীরাও উপস্থিত ছিলেন এই বৈঠকে।
এই বৈঠকে আগামী দিনে দলের পথচলার রোডম্যাপ দেন তৃণমূলনেত্রী।
ওনার বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশ:
- এখানে উপস্থিত সব কর্মীবৃন্দকে আমার অনেক শুভেচ্ছা ও অভিনন্দন। তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস মানুষের পরিবার।
- বাংলার পাশে থেকে দেশ গঠনের কাজে অগ্রণী ভূমিকা পালন করতে হবে তৃণমূলকেই। আমাদের দল মর্যাদার সঙ্গে কাজ করে।
- দেশ ও সমাজ গঠনের কাজে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসকে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করতে হবে।
- আমাদের সংকল্প হোক উন্নততর যুব সমাজ ও উন্নততর চরিত্র গঠন করা। এর মাধ্যমে সামাজিক অবক্ষয় সম্পর্কে সচেতন করতে হবে।
- দীনেশ ত্রিবেদি সেরা সাংসদ নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন, তাঁকে আমার অভিনন্দন।
- আজ রাজ্য বাজেট পেশ হবে। আগামীকাল কেন্দ্রীয় বাজেট, এটা ওদের নির্বাচন কেন্দ্রিক বাজেট। আমরা চিরকাল উন্নয়নের বাজেট করি, মানুষের বাজেট করি।
- গত ৫ বছরে দেশের কি অবস্থা করেছে আমরা দেখেছি।
- আগামী কয়েক মাসের মধ্যেই পঞ্চায়েত ভোট। তার আগে সব বকেয়া কাজ শেষ করে ফেলতে হবে।
- ইতিমধ্যেই ২৩ হাজার কিলোমিটার রাস্তা নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। আরও ৮ হাজার কিলোমিটার রাস্তা তৈরি হবে।
- আমরা ২৫ লক্ষ বাড়ি নির্মাণ করেছি গরীব মানুষদের জন্য। আরও ৫ লক্ষ বাড়ি বিতরণ করা হবে।
- জন্ম থেকে মৃত্যু – শিশু সাথী থেকে সবুজ সাথী, কন্যাশ্রী, শিক্ষাশ্রী, সমব্যাথী সব প্রকল্প চালু করেছি আমরা। ৩ লক্ষ জমির পাট্টা দেওয়া হয়েছে।
- পিছিয়ে পড়া অনগ্রসর শ্রেণি সহ সব শ্রেণির মানুষের জন্য প্রকল্প চালু করেছি আমরা।
- আমাদের সরকার মানুষের জন্য কাজ করে। আমাদের সরকার কখনো কোন জনবিরোধী সিদ্ধান্ত নেয় না। এটা আমাদের শপথ, সংকল্প, মানুষকে দেওয়া প্রতিশ্রুতি।
- বিজেপি যখন কোটি কোটি টাকা খরচ করে তখন মিডিয়া কেন মুখ বুজে থাকে, মুখে লিউকোপ্লাস্ট লাগিয়ে রাখে? কখনো এরা বাংলাকে ভালো বলল না। বারবার কেন ছোট দলগুলিই আপনাদের টার্গেট হয়?
- মিডিয়ার একাংশ শুধু অপপ্রচার করছে। কখনো ভালো কাজের প্রশংসা করে না। এটা নোংরামি,cheap and dirty game
- ক্ষমতায় আসার পর আমাদের দায়িত্ব অনেক বেড়ে গেছে।
- সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় আমাদের নজর রাখতে হবে। বিজেপি আর কংগ্রেস ডিজিটাল মিডিয়ায় কোটি কোটি টাকা খরচ করছে। আমাদের এত টাকা নেই।
- সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় মিথ্যে খবর ছড়াচ্ছে বিজেপি। অপপ্রচার করছে। আমাদের ওদের কাউন্তার করতে হবে।
- আগামী ৬ মার্চ সব ব্লকে এবং ৭ মার্চ সব জেলায় মহিলা মিছিল হবে।
- আগামী ৮ মার্চ আন্তর্জাতিক মহিলা দিবস উপলক্ষে কলকাতা ও শিলিগুড়িতে মিছিল হবে।
- ২রা ফেব্রুয়ারী হাওড়াতে ছাত্র-যুব সম্মেলন হবে। ৫ই ফেব্রুয়ারী শিলিগুড়িতে এই সম্মেলন হবে।
- একটা দুর্ঘটনা ঘটলে আগে মানুষগুলোকে তো বাঁচাতে হবে। রাজনীতি পরেও করা যাবে।
- ওদের (বিরোধীরা) টিভিতেই বেশি দেখা যায়। অন-গ্রাউন্ড কি কাজ করে?
- মহারাষ্ট্রে ১২,০০০ কৃষক আত্মহত্যা করেছে। কৃষকরা খুব কষ্টে দিন কাটাচ্ছেন। বিজেপিকে এর জবাব দিতে হবে।
- এফআরডিআই, কৃষক আত্মহত্যা, দ্রব্যমূল্য বৃদ্ধি, রেলওয়ে প্রজেক্ট তুলে নেওয়া – এই ইস্যুগুলিতে বিজেপিকে জবাবদিহি করতে হবে।
- ৮ই মার্চ অবধি প্রত্যেক শনি ও রবিবার দ্রব্যমূল্য বৃদ্ধি নিয়ে মিটিং, মিছিল, পোস্টারিং করতে হবে।
