West Bengal Governor to launch Administrative Calendar of the WB Govt at Nabanna on 2 January, 2014

West Bengal is going to experience a slice of history this New Year. January 2, 2014 is going to be a historic day for the state administration. The Hon`ble Governor of West Bengal, Mr. M K Narayanan has kindly consented to visit the State Secretariat, Nabanna to inaugurate the State Administrative calendar.

This visit is historic because for the first time since Independence, the Governor of a state will be paying a visit to the State Secretariat. Such an event is not heard of even in the British colonial era.

Truly speaking, the present Governor is extremely happy with the progress and surge of development in the State since the Trinamool Government under Ms. Mamata Banerjee had taken over running of the state.

The State Government is rapidly executing most of the pre-poll promises made by Trinamool Congress, under the able leadership of Mamata Banerjee. From bringing peace in Darjeeling and Jangalmahal to new developmental schemes like Kanyashree and Fair Price Medicine shops, the state has taken strides to bring back Bengal its lost glory.

The visit of the Governor to Nabanna only reinforces the faith the people of West Bengal have placed on the Maa, Mati, Manush Government.
