With all the forces at my command, I beg to oppose the introduction of the Right to Information (Amendment) Bill, 2019. Sir, I may mention in this context that in the 15th Lok Sabha 71 percent of the Bills were sent for Parliamentary scrutiny. In the 16th Lok Sabha, the number dropped, only 26 percent of the Bills were sent for Parliamentary scrutiny. <interruptions>

Sir, I have opposed the introduction of the Bill. Sir, in this present Parliament not one of the 11 Bills have been referred to the Standing Committee for their opinion. However, since it has been brought <interruptions>

Sir, if the Parliamentary Affairs Minister decides to disturb a Member in this way, I expect you to protest. Aap mujhe suraksha dijiye. <interruption>

Sir, Right to Information, humara bahut hi zaroori ek adhikar hai. Ek Parliamentary Committee hua, Standing Committee bola, ‘Information Commission is an important creation under the Act, which will execute the laudable schemes of the legislature’.
