Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar asks a Question on the modernisation of a railway station in her constituency

Thank you, Madam. Through you I would like to ask the hon Minister, since we are talking about the railway stations, during the period 2009-2010 in my constituency Barasat station was upgraded. A female passengers’ waiting room along with a toilet and a underpass near gate no 12 was sanctioned by then Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee. The work has started. But recently, over the last few months, the passengers’ waiting room for ladies and the toilet are locked and work for the underpass near gate no 12 has stopped at this station. So, why the work has been stopped?
