Trinamool Congress has four new faces in the Rajya Sabha

 

Kolkata, July 15:  Debabrata Bandhopadhyay, Derek O'Brien, Srinjoy Bose and Sukhendu Sekhar Roy were announced elected as Members of the Upper House of the Parliament, the Rajya Sabha on Friday.

Nomination papers for the six seats were taken up for scrutiny on July 13. Since there was no seventh candidate, the process of voting was not required.

All four nominees of the Trinamool Congress filed their papers on Monday in elections to the Rajya Sabha from West Bengal. Those Trinamool candidates who filed the nomination papers were Debabrata Bandhopadhyay, a former IAS officer, Derek O'Brien, vice-president of the Trinamool Congress, Srinjoy Bose, the editor of the Party mouthpiece Jaago Bangla and the youngest member to the Rajya Sabha and Sukhendu Sekhar Roy, an advocate.
