Trinamool Chairperson says she is willing to hold talk with any political party, nothing is above Maa, Mati, Manush
Trinamool Congress Chairperson said that the Trinamool Congress will continue to oppose the UPA over the anti-people-policies and will bring the no confidence motion. Replying to the question that why some of the political were opposing the motion when they initially supported the cause, the Chairperson said that her party will bring the no confidence motion in the Parliament and if any party wants to talk to her or negotiate on issues regarding the motion, she was willing to have a talk with them. ` I am ready to talk to any party on no-confidence motion. If the Left brings no-confidence, Trinamool is ready to support it`, added the Chairperson.
The Chairperson said, `I have no problem with any party taking the cause and tabling the motion since this issue concerns common man. I have no issues even if the CPI(M) is willing to table the motion. I have no problems in discussing the issue with anybody willing to have a discussion with me`. However, she added that the only criteria is who so ever plans to bring the motion must assure me that under no circumstances they will pull back making way for the Congress to win the floor test.
I am surprised by the manner the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) is acting. Inspite of being an alliance government they do not care to consult us on any issues and going on escalating prices of all essential commodities making life of the common hell.
Incidentally, the Trinamool Congress held a meeting with all her MPs at Writers` Building last Saturday and took the decision to bring no confidence motion in the Parliament against the anti-people-policies of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA). `We will continue to oppose FDI in retail and issues like hike in fuel and fertilizer price and pension bill. I had a meeting with the TMC MPs and have decided to bring vote of no confidence in the Parliament. I request political parties to protest in the interest of common people`, said the Chairperson who requested all the political parties to raise their voices against the anti-people-policies and stand for the cause concerning common people.
`I have no hesitation in talking with the political parties including the CPI(M) and if they want I can visit Alimuddin Street for talks. I am prepared to talk to all the parities when it concerns the issue related to common man and I have no ego problems`, added the Chairperson.
I called up Mr. Gurudas Dasgupta of the Left and told him that I have no objection if the CPI(M) plans to table the motion. We may have political preferences and differences but that does not mean that we will not support on common cause. I don't have such ego and therefore have no issue if the Left Front wants to bring the motion. I am ready to talk to any party on no-confidence motion. If the Left brings no-confidence, Trinamool is ready to support it.
However, she said that only criteria is who so ever plans to bring the motion must assure me that under no circumstances they will pull back making way for the Congress to win the floor test.
I have no problems in discussing the issue with anybody who is willing to have a discussion with me. If the BJP and Congress can discuss then why I cannot hold talks with the Left Front besides there is nothing wrong in having talks with opposition. I believe in democracy.
I am surprised by the manner the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) is acting. Inspite of being an alliance government they do not care to consult us on any issues and going on escalating prices of all essential commodities making life of the common hell.
I have no hesitation in talking with Biman Bose and if they want I can visit Alimuddin Street for talks.
Trinamool Congress Chairperson on her facebook page writes:
`Today, I have clarified the stand taken by All India Trinamool Congress in its proposed move to bring No-Confidence Motion against the present UPA Government.
Yesterday, I spoke to Shri Gurudas Dasgupta, the CPI leader because I have come to know through media that they had agreed to support the No-Confidence Motion against the UPA Government. I have also learnt about the statement of the CPI(M) Party that they are not going to support the Motion because it is being moved by the Trinamool Congress. CPI being a part of the Left Front, I requested Shri Dasgupta to take up this matter with the CPI(M) Party. If they (CPIM) have any problem to support the No-Confidence Motion moved by the Trinamool Congress, they may move such Motion themselves. But I want to be assured that the No-Confidence Motion is tabled for voting. I will have no hesitation in voting for the No-Confidence Motion moved by them, and for that reason even if I am required to go to the Party Headquarters of CPI(M) for discussion, I will do so.
The nation is currently passing through a very critical and crucial time. Sometimes such situation deserves strong will and strong decision. The minority government at the Center is not following democratic norms and is taking a series of anti-people decisions like FDI in Retail, Pension and Insurance sectors, cap on subsidized LPG cylinders, hike in diesel and fertilizer prices, etc. Prices of essential commodities are rising unabated The voice of protest is being silenced and the CBI is being misused. Every time, the Congress with their friends develops fine artistry in distancing itself from certain political parties.
The present situation also demands strong stand that the present `UPA Government must go`. Some political parties are acting as saviour of corrupt government. They should take the cause of the common people and oppose the UPA Government, because people of this country want to see who are the saviours of this `vrastachari sarkar`.
I appeal to all political parties to stand united and join the No-Confidence Motion against the UPA Government for the greater interest of the motherland, so that corruption and anti-people decisions are thwarted`.
I am prepared to talk to all the parities when it concerns the issue related to common man and I have no ego problems`, added the Trinamool Chairperson.
