According to HIDCO officials, the authorities are also working to set up an international financial services centre in the CBD of New Town, on the lines of the ones in Dubai and Singapore. It will be a dedicated zone for investors and foreign nationals, where they will be able to trade and exchange in foreign currency.
নিউটাউনে ‘ফিনটেক হাব’ গড়বে হিডকো
ফিনান্সিয়াল টেকনোলজি হাব তৈরির লক্ষ্যে হিডকো একটি ১০ একর জমি চিহ্নিত করেছে নিউটাউনে। এই হাবে জায়গা পেতে ২০১৭’র শেষের দিকে উৎসাহী কোম্পানিগুলি থেকে আবেদনপত্র আহ্বান করা হবে।
ফিনটেক হল একটি নতুন ইন্ডাস্ট্রি যার অন্তর্গত কোম্পানিগুলি ডিজিটাল পদ্ধতিতে অর্থনৈতিক পরিষেবা দিয়ে থাকে। এই কোম্পানিগুলি ডিজিটাল পেমেন্ট, অটোমেটিক ডিজিটাল ব্যাঙ্কিং, শেয়ার মার্কেট অ্যানালিটিক্স, ইন্সিউরেন্স প্রেডিকশন ও অ্যাসেট ম্যানেজমেন্ট নিয়ে কাজ করে থাকে।
হিডকোর এক আধিকারিকের কথায়, দুবাই ও সিঙ্গাপুরের আদলে নিউ টাউনের প্রাণকেন্দ্রে একটি আন্তর্জাতিক ফিনান্সিয়াল সার্ভিস সেন্টার খুলতে চায় হিডকো কর্তৃপক্ষ। এই কেন্দ্রটি বিদেশী ও বিনিয়োগকারীদের জন্য খোলা হবে।
