Bengal Chief Minister announces a slew of projects at Midnapore (E), more fair price medicine shops soon
West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee announced a slew of development projects during her public meeting in Khejuri`s Sherkhan Chowk near Tekhali bridge on Tuesday. The Chief Minister who is on a two-day trip to East Midnapore  inaugurated 10-projects including a ice factory at Digha Mohona, a primary health centre at Sutahata and a fair price medicine shop at Contai Sub divisional Hospital. `We have already inaugurated a fare price medicine shop and we will open more. Apart from that we will build three multi-superspeciality hospital and Sick Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) in this district soon`, said the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister also distributed bicycles to Madrasa girl student studying in nine, 10, 11 and 12. `I also have plans to give bicycles to my brother and I will once I overcome the financial crunch`, she said.  Apart from bicycles, the Chief Minister gave away Kisan Credit cards, `Patta` to homeless under the Gitanjali and Nijo Bhumi Nijo Griho scheme, Kisan Credit Cards, fishing net and basket to fishermen and a grant of Rs. 5,000 to the poor farmers to buy farming equipments. 
`I also plan to introduce a scheme for the poor people which will be called `Adhikar`, all the poor people will be entitled to this scheme`, said the Chief Minister. 
She also laid the foundation stone of a sports complex in Tamluk, a water project at Brajalal Chowk, market for farmers where they can sell their produced at Panskura and Contai block-2. The Chief Minister who had earlier announced that there will be an Industrial Technical Institute (ITI) at each blocks laid the foundation stone at Garbeta and Debra. `There will an industrial cluster on 4,500 acres of land which will open employment to 10,000 people. Also we are planning a tourism cluster on 268 acres in the region which will match the world standards`, she added.
