Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee recently inaugurated an app named ‘Jeevan Shakti’ that will provide information regarding the availability of blood in government blood banks across Bangla.
The citizen-centric app has been developed by the State Health and Family Welfare Department. The mobile app will prove extremely handy for patients and their relatives, who will be able to trace donors and find out the availability of blood at the government-run blood banks.
The main features of the app are a list of donors in the State, along with their names, mobile numbers, addresses and the blood groups they belong to. Interested persons can enrol themselves in the app as potential donors.
