Trinamool showcases achievements of Bengal Govt at Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference in London
Trinamool Congress held up the achievements of transforming Bengal under the able leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference, held in London earlier this week.
Trinamool’s Deputy Leader of Rajya Sabha, Sukhendu Sekhar Roy and Lok Sabha MP, Dr Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, at different sessions during the meet, provided information regarding the development of Bengal in the last five years, to delegates from political parties of 53 nations.
The two Members of Parliament informed the delegates about schemes like Kanyashree and Yuvashree, and about measures taken for conserving the environmental by the Bengal Government.
Sukhendu Sekhar Roy participated in a seminar regarding environment where he pointed out that in the third world, policies regarding industrialisation should be taken keeping agriculture and farmers in mind.
Dr Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar held forward the vision of Mamata Banerjee at the inaugural session. She informed the delegates about the success of Kanyashree scheme which has brought down trafficking and under-age marriage.

লন্ডনে কমনওয়েলথ পার্লামেন্টারি অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সম্মেলনে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নজিরবিহীন সাফল্য ও বাংলার পরিবর্তনের ছবি তুলে ধরল তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস।
রাজ্যসভার মুখ্য সচেতক সুখেন্দু শেখর রায় ও লোকসভার সাংসদ ডাঃ কাকলি ঘোষ দস্তিদার দুজনেই পৃথক সেশনে ৫৩ টি দেশের বিভিন্ন রাজনৈতিক দলের সাংসদদের উপস্থিতিতে বাংলার গত ৫ বছরের সাফল্য ও উন্নয়নের কথা তুলে ধরেন।
বিশেষ করে কন্যাশ্রী ও যুবশ্রীর মত প্রকল্প এবং জলবায়ু ও পরিবেশ সংরক্ষণে রাজ্য সরকারের যে সদিচ্ছা ও বাস্তবায়নের পর উপকৃত লক্ষ লক্ষ মানুষের প্রতিক্রিয়া জানতে উৎসাহী হয়েছেন অন্য দেশের সাংসদরা।
জলবায়ু সংক্রান্ত সম্মেলনে দেশের তরফে বক্তব্য রাখেন সুখেন্দু শেখর রায়, তিনি উল্লেখ করেন, দূষণ রুখতে যে সমস্ত প্রযুক্তি প্রয়োজন তা তৃতীয় বিশ্বের দেশের নেই। শিল্প কারখানাকে অগ্রগতির সোপান ভাবলেও কৃষি ও কৃষকের কথা মাথায় রেখেই সরকারি কর্মসূচি নেওয়া উচিত।
উদ্বোধনী সম্মেলনে কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প ও মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের ভিশন তুলে ধরেন ডাঃ কাকলি ঘোষ দস্তিদার। নারী ক্ষমতায়ন নিয়েও বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে তিনি বলেন, নারী শিক্ষা ও অগ্রগতিতে কন্যাশ্রী শুধু বাংলা নয় এখন গোটা বিশ্বের মডেল।
