The more we are attacked, the stronger we become: Abhishek Banerjee in Murshidabad
Trinamool Youth Congress President Abhishek Banerjee addressed huge gatherings in Naoda and Kandi in Murshidabad. He strongly criticised the Congress-CPI(M) nexus by terming it as a marriage rather than an alliance. He reminded the people that the Left had ruled Bengal, and the Congress had domination in Murshidabad for several years, yet it remains one of the most backward districts. The Left did not work towards the development of the people because they had no will to do so.
He further said that the people of Murshidabad have supported the Congress for a long time. However, the CPI(M) who earlier abused Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, are now in cahoots with them. So the people who truly support Congress, will never accept this unholy alliance. Abhishek added that Mamata Banerjee has lived by her Ma-Mati-Manush motto by being with the people 365 days a year.
He also accused the Congress MLA in Murshidabad of not bringing in any development for the people in the district during his long tenure. He stated that the Cong-CPI(M) alliance could try as hard they want but it is impossible to keep Trinamool down.

শুক্রবার তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় মুর্শিদাবাদে ২টি জনসভা করেন।
সিপিএম-কংগ্রেস জোটকেও এদিন কটাক্ষ করেন তিনি। তিনি বলেন, “রাজ্যে হাত হাতুড়ি জোট হলেও কোনওভাবেই তৃণমূলকে দমানো যাবে না। কাস্তে দিয়ে যত ঘাস কাটবে, ততই ঘাসফুলের শ্রীবৃদ্ধি হবে”।
৩৪ বছরের বাম শাসন বনাম পাঁচ বছরের তৃণমূল শাসনের উন্নয়নের তুলনা টেনে বলেন, “ ৩৪ বছরে কোন কাজ করেনি, করার ইচ্ছেও ছিল না, কারণ মানুষ সজাগ হলেই ওদের ক্ষতি”।
তিনি বলেন, “যারা আগে ইন্দিরা গান্ধী, রাজীব গান্ধীকে চোর বলেছিল আজ সেই সিপিএমের সঙ্গে হাত মিলিয়েছে কংগ্রেস। কংগ্রেসকে যারা ভালোবাসেন তারা কোনওভাবেই এই জোট মেনে নেবে না”।
পরে তিনি বলেন, মা-মাটি-মানুষের নেত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ৩৬৫ দিনই মানুষের সঙ্গে থাকেন।
